Meghan's pregnancy: What happens in April? Five scenarios, from best to worst

If the Duchess of Sussex was about 12 weeks along when she announced her pregnancy at Princess Eugenie's wedding in October, her full-term delivery date would be around April 29, 2019. Of course, babies come whenever they are ready. This one is likely to arrive sometime in April or early May. Here are five scenarios of what might happen. The best scenario The best scenario is that Duchess Meghan's PR is all true, and she will give birth in the traditional manner (vaginal or C-section) to a child who shares her and Prince Harry's DNA. Although I'm no Meghan fan, this would be the best case for the reputation of the Royal Family and for the British public, who have enough on their minds with Brexit. It's unlikely that the baby will get a HRH designation from the Queen at this late date, but if it is proven to have the proper bloodline, this is still a possibility. The second-best scenario The second-best scenario is that a surrogate gives birth to a

The Royal Family: Are distractions being moved into place?

Have you noticed that there haven't been any public photos of the Cambridge children recently? In fact, no photos have been released since Prince Charles' birthday in November 2018, and those photos were probably taken in October, around the time of Princess Eugenie's wedding. The kids have been out of sight for six months. George and Charlotte were spotted playing in Kensington Park this week, so they're fortunately doing well. But their parents are carefully keeping them out of the public eye for what seems like a longer period than usual. (Poor Gary Janetti - he keeps having to re-use the same old photos of Prince George.) Is this just good parenting - letting the kids have as normal a childhood as possible - or is there another reason for the long delay? Beatrice and her boyfriend At the same time, Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend, Edo Mozzi, have started to be photographed together. They attended their first gala at the National Portrait Gallery this

Have you criticized Meghan Markle? Somebody wants you to be afraid

"We reserve the right to send any comments we deem appropriate to law enforcement authorities for investigation as we feel necessary or is required by law.” This was the final line of the British Royal Family's new social media policy, released on March 4, 2019. The policy supposedly guards against "obscene, offensive, threatening, abusive, hateful, inflammatory" comments against any member of the Royal Family - but everyone knows that this is really about Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. After all, other family members have been putting up with nasty gossip for years without public complaint. Poor Camilla has persistently been called "The Rottweiler" (reportedly Diana gave her the name) and Kate is known around the world as "Waity Kaity" because of her long engagement and "Duchess Dolittle" because of her long maternity leaves. These women have survived. Only Meghan seems to need special protection. The 'kindness

Lipstick Alley feed: Women of Color who can't stand Meghan

While Duchess Meghan likes to push a narrative that women of color adore her and only "pale, stale" middle-aged frumps dislike her, that's never been entirely true. Since Meghan and Harry's engagement announcement, individual women of color have been coming forth on social media to say they don't see Meg as a heroine. It's only been in the past three weeks, however, that women of color who can't stand Meghan have been coming forth  en masse , in a  Lipstick Alley "Meghan Markle Unpopular Opinions"  thread that - as of the morning of March 6 - is now 134 pages long. On the off chance you don't have time to read all that - and I haven't read it all myself - or on the chance the thread is taken down as part of Kensington Palace's latest campaign against "online hate speech", here are a few citations I've pulled. All credit belongs to the original authors. Since they write under screen names, there is no guarant
