Meg's Exile to Africa: Does Africa Want Her?

Today's report in the Times of London newspaper that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be posted to Africa for a period of up to three years was probably a relief to the UK, but not to the Africans. What, precisely, are Harry and Meghan supposed to do there? You can only Instagram so many pictures of elephants. Who needs who? Harry is lightly educated and needed help passing his basic exams. Meghan took some courses in international relations during the Bush administration, but has spent the intervening years grilling burgers in a miniskirt for the cameras and merching ill-fitting clothing and shoes. Does Africa need those skills? Or do the Sussexes need Africa more than Africa needs them? Harry's good use of celebrity Harry reportedly loves Africa, particularly Botswana, where he has been involved in several long-term wildlife preservation projects. In my opinion, this is a good use of his celebrity: bringing attention to an important issue that doesn'

Is Duchess Meg worth $5 million for an animated movie role?

On today's Enty podcast (available on Patreon for $4.95 a month) he states that Duchess Meg has been looking for work in Hollywood. But there are conditions - lots of conditions, according to Enty. First of all, it must be a voice role only, most likely a voiceover to a cartoon. For a 20-episode season, that would be $1 million - before taxes, agent fees, management fees, etc. So, charitably, $400,000 take-home per year. Apparently Meg is setting the value of a Royal title at around $4.6 million. Will she add $4.6 million worth of value to an animated film? Calculating the value of Meg'

The Sussex Royal Instagram Account: Creative self-indulgence at the taxpayers' expense

The new Instagram account for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was launched yesterday, boosted by a major publicity campaign. The Instagram accounts of ElleUSA, Glamour Magazine, InStyle Magazine, MarieClaire Magazine, Oprah Magazine, Travel and Leisure Magazine all posted comments to congratulate the Sussexes on their new account, which proves that a lot of PR people know each other and probably have drinks together after work. Instagram itself congratulated the couple on their new accounts, as did poor Princess Eugenie, whose wedding was postponed in favor of the Sussex wedding and then spoiled by Meg's extremely early pregnancy announcement. "Welcome, Cousins!" Eugenie commented, showing either that she is trying to be the better person or that she is a master of sarcasm. Major PR campaign A major PR campaign ensured that the story reached nontraditional celebrity outlets like the BBC and, in one case, a local Miami TV newscast. And negative voices were
