Has Meg actually helped any charities achieve their goals?

The Sussexes see themselves as forces for great social good, and Harry's Invictus games originally seemed to be a great way to inspire wounded veterans. Travalyst, his poorly-defined follow-up, has so far been less successful, and there have been questions its structure (it is a limited company, not a registered charity) and why it is getting influxes of cash from the Royal Foundation . But Meg's charity efforts seem to have even been less successful, in part because she flutters from one to the next without much research or much committment. Hubb Kitchen the most famous Hubb Kitchen is one of her most prominent patronages, and it produced a cookbook that sold well - but would they have produced a cookbook with or without Meghan? Smartworks seems to be a well-defined, well-run charity to help women in need achieve a professional working wardrobe, but how much have they benefitted from Meghan's input? (And now many women need a smart working wardrobe these days,

Where do you get your information about the Sussexes?

New Idea , an Australian publication, recently reported that Meghan Markle was considering a run for US President in 2024 - a story widely picked up in other media. Unfortunately, New Idea has a reputation for making up stories out of whole cloth - not a credible source. Which sources do you consider trustworthy when it comes to information about the Sussexes? Choose up to three. (If the embedded poll isn't working for you, here's a link )

A quick housekeeping post

Just a quick note to let you know that I will be on vacation for the next two weeks, but will set up a few advance posts to keep everyone talking. In addition, one of our trusted regular posters has agreed to moderate. Finally, I've been asked if there is a "backup plan" if somehow Blogger should push us off. There is. I've purchased the domain "nuttyflavor.com" which I can point wherever I like. Right now it points here, but should we have trouble with Blogger, I will point it to a new location. Thanks for being such a wonderful community!

Meghan loves taking pictures. What photos does she have of Harry?

The most interesting news about the Sussexes this week hasn't been about the Sussexes. It's been the ugly case of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard , as their volatile relationship is dragged through the court system as part of a civil trial in Depp's case against The Sun newspaper. Several humiliating photos of Depp have appeared in court, including one of him passed out and covered in melted ice cream . In addition, several obviously staged photos have been introduced into evidence, including a very neat photo of some nicely-arranged lines of cocaine on a glass table near several other attractively posed objects. Perhaps Depp got Martha Stewart to cater his orgies. Or perhaps Amber set him up. As a regular reader of Mail Online, Meg can't help but notice. Blogger Meg and her camera Meg has had an interest in taking photos of the Royal Family since the very beginning. There has long been a rumor that she was tossed out of Kensington Palace and sent back t

Sigh. Meghan and Harry talk politics again

I almost hate to make a post about Prince Harry's latest venture into the arena of woke politics. Speaking to young Commonwealth leaders in a video released today, Harry focused on the negative aspects of the countries' shared history, saying that while many people had "done an incredible job of acknowledging the past and trying to right those wrongs, but I think we all acknowledge there is so much more to do." It's all so tiresome, and reminds me of a McDonald's employee campaigning against the beef and french fry industries. What pays your bills? Dear Harry: the fruits of those historical wrongs have paid for, and continue to pay for, everything you've received your entire life. I'd have a lot more respect for your wokeness if you renounced your income from Dad and your inheritance from Mom, both of which are at least indirectly related to the profits of colonialism. You can't change the past, Harry, but you can change the future.
