A New Year

So often in life at the start of new year, there is this tendency to focus on what changes will be made in the upcoming year.  So we create this list of what we will start to do and what we aren't going to do any more.  This year is going to be so wonderful and better than the last one.  Or so we plan (giggle - like we really have all that much control over external forces which grind forward like a glacier over our intentions?). Apparently January 17th is known as Ditch your New Year's resolutions day.  Oh well.  Carry on. Pivot away from the future: So I was thinking about the past year in general and how crazy it was for myself, friends and family outside of Nutty life.  Great drama.  From that, I started thinking about what this year has been for the Royal Family. The first Christmas without Prince Philip.  The great Jubilee the likes of which we won't see again.  The Queen passed.  That was huge and emotional.  And some interestingly phrased announcements, or some omis

Netflix - Part Two

Those first episodes - wow.  Not a good look (and holds that since the drop).  The silence is deafening from people in high places who previously would at least do blog mentions of support.  People will remember the curtsey probably the long after this is over.  It was the essence of just how disrespectful she/their actions was/were to his grandmother, everything the Queen did, stood for and to the people of the UK.   And, as someone pointed out, the only unintended parts were that HM passed early but the intention was that she should know and see it.  And, that they both wanted to be there (near HM) right before she passed.   We knew, just like the interviews, that there would be a lot of editing out or deliberate misinformation by implying X when next showing Y while saying Z.  So we can expect more of the same for round two.   An example from the trailer is that their security was cut but, as one poster put it, they are omitting that when you leave a job, they take away the company

Netflix - Part One

It's finally here after all the salvos and claims of it being their story, their truth but has now shifted into not their lens.   So? whose is it today?  And tomorrow - is that someone else? Given how hard and loose The Crown is (that they HAD to put up a disclaimer says something), with the trailer problems, will there also be a disclaimer on this?   The interview had quite a number of statements which were found (fairly easily) to be known as untrue.  That was an hour long show.  This is six of these (possible longer as no commercials on NF) and they have already found several inaccuracies parading as truth to someone in just the trailer.   What else will be discovered in the shows?  And how will they be explained away?  Already the claims are that this is just them telling a story and apparently those pictures are just shown to help create the mood for their story.  So what/whose authority of using photos which are are not from actual events relating to them/their story said tha

Netflix Trailer

Well that's out now .   Timing is suspicious I suppose.  They may claim that since it is coming out soon they needed it to drop now.  How will it impact the current bruhaha from the other side of the pond?   I don't know.   Some will use this to carry water that this shows proof of all kinds of inherent problems but maybe not.  Maybe people will recognize that you have no control over what others say because they have a family member who can and will say things which others disagree with.  Those people will understand and feel sympathy.   What is good about this is that it will drive interest in PoW and PsoW because right now they will be front and center for cameras.  They are professionals.  They look good.  And this will leave a lasting impression in people's minds.  When the show finally does appear, it will be interesting to read the reviews of how people who haven't really been following this saga view it with fresh eyes.  It just may be a little too much - sugar
