Eh I don't know. I just don't exactly think that is the kind of thing, those words, Charles would say to his ex brother in law at any time. Think of the timing of that. He had been getting along with her. Her brother, not so much. The calls about what was happening with the kids previously - I think it was that someone was insisting they bring the kids to the Palace to display them or make them see the flower displays and Philip said they would not (the kids were dealing with their feelings - I seem to remember that they were not certain exactly where William was as he was up in the hills somewhere). The family was circling the wagons about protecting the kids from what they saw/felt could create long term problems. I suspect they had numerous discussions just in that time period of how to help care for the kids in addition to all the funeral planning.
