Netflix - Part Two

Those first episodes - wow.  Not a good look (and holds that since the drop).  The silence is deafening from people in high places who previously would at least do blog mentions of support.

People will remember the curtsey probably the long after this is over.  It was the essence of just how disrespectful she/their actions was/were to his grandmother, everything the Queen did, stood for and to the people of the UK.

And, as someone pointed out, the only unintended parts were that HM passed early but the intention was that she should know and see it.  And, that they both wanted to be there (near HM) right before she passed.

We knew, just like the interviews, that there would be a lot of editing out or deliberate misinformation by implying X when next showing Y while saying Z.  So we can expect more of the same for round two.

An example from the trailer is that their security was cut but, as one poster put it, they are omitting that when you leave a job, they take away the company car and corporate credit cards.

Or that cut of the Queen's promise of service from long ago.  That was something else (apparently) intending for HM to hear.  And yet so easily found by people who are just looking for these "actions which are not as they appear to be".  It is like watching Lost.  You always had to be paying attention to the whole picture because while they were pointedly waving their right hand, you had to also be tracking the left and scanning the background.

What's remains is their story of how remarkable their relationship is, their meeting, dating but how many different versions can there be?  Or what is left for their Show and Tell to the world? What's the encore after this and the book?

Every negative claim is always so vague and nothing ever seems to have legitimate receipts attached to it.  And that someone (I read that one was Gail King before and now *'s attorney) claims to have seen these proofs of the links between the Palace and the stories which seemed to cause distress in *.   People can say anything short of screaming fire but is there really something which could be taken to a court of law?  As one poster put it - something about how even if the Palace had done such a thing, doesn't mean those stories aren't true.  Or that if it only says Palace on the caller ID but no specific phone extension, it could also mean that the source could have just as easily been *.  Or, someone using someone else's phone.

Good point about possible trying to draw the Palace into a protracted legal battle.

And yet the Palace machine keeps rolling forward without appearing to have any of this register as something worthwhile to respond to.  An unaltered trajectory by all appearances.

I read somewhere that they may actually believe that they can reunite with his family at some point down the road.

Given the couple are  making all kinds of claims about the monarchy and the people who work within it, limited access to show and teach their kids anything of the centuries of the country's history, customs and traditions (ahem, cough), aren't living in the UK or a Commonwealth, having so much difficulty with his family, nor serving the king in public duties  - one wonders what the British Royal family would really gain from the reconciliation show as directed by the couple after so many attempts to appear to undermine the very institution they allow, no insist on maintaining contact (photos, articles and so on) of themselves to be tethered to.  I don't have a clue about that.

my younger sister has strong narcissistic tendencies and for many years, was very disrespectful towards me. One day, she was particularly obnoxious towards me, so I just got up and left. She was dumbfounded and was contacting everyone because she couldn't understand what she had done.

I've gone no contact and she still believes, after all these years, that I'm dying to reach out to her, and the reason that I haven't is that her telephone number is unlisted.

I believe that the Spareys feel the same way - they have no idea why the family aren't picking up their calls, and feel that William and Charles are eager for a rapprochement.

Body Language Panel. OMG Chase Hughes said something interesting. Maybe it's not just Meghan. He's identified that when Harry lost his mother he was 'swept up by the nation', receiving lots of love and support. We repeat what's successful. So he's doing
2/2 it AGAIN now. If he keeps portraying himself as this pitiful boy who just lost his mother, and scared of losing M, then we will LOVE & SUPPORT him again!!! Now I see why he's constantly bringing up Diana and whining! He actually thinks he can win everyone over with this

The summary of episode 4.

They really believe that she was so popular (unprecedented in the entire history of the world - my words) that everyone in the royal family was jealous of her and thus started briefing against her.

There are some big claims here and they are not going to stand up against scrutiny. By the way, the Duchess of York had both her children at Portland and was photographed by a pack of press leaving the hospital. The liar claims she did want to be photographed leaving the hospital with Archie but 'Palace officials' advised against it because there wasn't space for the press outside the hospital.

She complains about Nottingham Cottage being so small. By the way, that is where William and Catherine were living (both tall people) when George was born.
Maneki Neko said…
'Meghan claimed negative stories about her would appear in the Press immediately after critical pieces that featured other members of the Royal Family.'

Er... Isn't this similar in a way to *'s MO? Every time something appears about the RF, particularly Camilla or Catherine, * has to slither in and insert herself in the news. She can't bear not being mentioned if others, especially the women in the family, are mentioned.
Maneki Neko said…
Meghan says she 'had a really great time' with Her Majesty as she carried out their first joint royal engagement in Cheshire.

She reveals she 'treated her as my husband's grandma' after describing how the pair had eaten breakfast together that morning.

Meghan adds the Queen shared a blanket with the Duchess in the back seat of the car to keep them both warm.

She says she though: 'I recognise and respect and see that you are the Queen, but in this moment, I'm so grateful that there's a grandmother figure.

'Because that feels like family.'
(DM)

Well, which is it,Megs? It sounds like 'the family she never had' and makes the Queen approachable, yet fast forward a few years and *&H are full of hate and venom. She really can't keep track of her lies. I haven't watched the Netflix horror show but judging by the various pix in the DM, particularly the poses where she's crying etc, I'd say she's a much better actress than we give her credit for 😞

Some things that stand out for me:

* When a lie is exposed, she doubles down and tells a different version of the story. I wonder if she even knows what the truth is.
* She is 'airbrushing' her husband out; for example, the story was that he asked his father to walk her down the aisle, then that she decided to walk half the way on her own, now her story is that she asked Charles to walk her down the aisle (husband has been airbrushed out the picture).
* They assume that everyone will believe that the Queen was controlled by evil courtiers. If the Queen changed her mind about seeing them, then that was her decision. Both her and Phillip were increasingly frail at the time and it is possible that they were too tired to deal with the drama and thus cancelled. The nation got used to the Queen cancelling at the last minute as she grew increasingly frail and no one threw a tantrum.
* Neither of them ever address or even mention the surrogacy conspiracy theories that are widespread on social media. It is a perfect vehicle for victimhood but they never mention it and instead manufacture a widespread conspiracy about race and another about William being jealous of them. It just seems very odd to me.

I don't think I've ever seen so many articles on any other couple as these two.
The men in white jackets surely can’t be far behind Maggot and Mole. Their egos are through the roof and their delusion is off the charts. 😳
Sandie said…
Another thought: they expected the family and the courtiers to act like their personal PR machine and to feed the media lies and support their lies. People with integrity are not going to go along with that. Jason Knauf had his breaking point when she lied to a court. Members in the royal family who have tried to bamboozle the media and push their 'narrative' have always come unstuck and I think that William is well aware that gaslighting the public through the media is the worst thing he can do.

The duo are angry that the royal family and courtiers would not support and disseminate lies on their behalf, although indications are that for a long while the family and courtiers did compromise themselves by doing exactly that. William must have known that supporting his brother in this way would hugely damage the institution and he chose duty over love for his brother. The Queen would have and did do the same. That is a pill that the narcissistic duo cannot swallow. 'If you love me, you will lie for me' is their philosophy in life.

Like so many people here have told us they have had horrible, destructive persons in their lives, often family members, narcissist sociopaths who are ready to make other peoples lives hell just for the enjoyment of it.

I lost my two beloved, very small grandsons for 3 and 1/2 years because my sister hated to see our love and joy and happiness together. In her youth she did not want to have children and ridiculed me for my family while she had an important "career". Today I have two beautiful grandchildren, she has envy and deep bitterness, loneliness and no sister anymore.

Yesterday my younger darling asked her mother: "Mummy is it SURE that we may stay with Grannie during the WHOLE Xmas holiday?!?" It is sure and they may and I feel I am a truly blessed human being for it.

The Sussex duo make me feel sick in a way that I know all too well. And I don't want to feel like that. I have had enough of it and it stops now. No more news.

It is only ten days to Christmas, a celebration of a little baby's birth, the best reason in the world to celebrate anything and therefore I wish all you Nutties every happiness and joy during this season. May your holidays be blessed.

Harry describes 'terrifying moment William screamed at him' in front of Queen and Charles in crunch meeting

Andy Wells

Prince Harry has accused William of leaving him terrified after “screaming and shouting” at him in front of the Queen during crunch talks to determine his future in the Royal Family.

The final part of the Sussexes’ controversial Netflix documentary was released on Thursday containing and contains claims that the Palace briefed against Harry and Meghan to deflect attention from less favourable coverage of other royals.

One of the other key themes running through the last three episodes is the breakdown of the brothers' relationship in recent years.

A key account from the Duke of Sussex discussed tense showdown talks at Sandringham Palace on 13 January, 2020, in which senior members of the family met to discuss the fallout from the couple's decision to step back from the Royal Family.

In the documentary, Harry outlines the high-stakes meeting between himself, the Queen, Charles and William that would determine the Sussexes’ future role within the Royal Family.
Harry says that his and Meghan’s proposal was to be “half-in and half-out” of the family, in which the couple would have their own jobs but also “work in support of the Queen”.

But he said it became clear very quickly that that was not an option that was up for debate.

“It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that simply weren’t true and my grandmother quietly sit there and sort of take it all in," Harry said.

“But you have to understand that from the family’s perspective, especially hers, there are ways of doing things and her ultimate mission and goal and responsibility is the institution.

“People around her are telling her ‘wait, these two doing XYZ is going to be seen as an attack on the institution’, then she’s going to go on the advice of the institution.”
Yahoo News UK has contacted Kensington Palace for a comment.

Harry goes on to describe an article that came out later the same day of the meeting saying that part of the reason the Sussexes were leaving was because William had “bullied us out”.

He says: “Once I got in the air was told about a joint statement that had been put out in my name and my brothers name squashing the story about him bullying us out of the family."

The statement described the report as false and offensive and potentially harmful.
Harry claims no one had asked him to put his name to a statement.

He says: “Within four hours they were happy to lie to protect my brother and yet for three years they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us."

`
I doubt if `screaming' is the right word - told him where to get off in no uncertain terms, perhaps.

As for Maggot getting thanked by the cabin crew for her service to the UK did she drop to her knees or something ?! 😂😁

Comedy gold from these two..and they just happen to have a photographer on hand 24/7 to catch every single private moment to share with us! 😂🙄

There can be absolutely no possibility that Mole will ever be welcomed back within the royal family …let alone the UK without stuff being thrown at him. He’s dismantled and burnt every single bridge he has. Good riddance to rotten rubbish. 🤬
I meant to add that Lady C was 100% correct when she said ages ago the duo thought they were better than everyone else, they saw themselves as rock stars…her sources are solid.😁❤️

so william made him cry and kate made her cry. well your brother knew all the shenanigans with staff and likely where rumors about him came from. yeah dude you are lucky he didn’t punch you. his restraint is amazing. a lot of social media comments about a war hero unable to take someone yelling at him. (probably more raised voice so whatever)

so he says if it all didn’t work out they said they would relinquish the titles. in montecito speak are titles are being pulled we are gonna make it our idea. sure jan 😉

some strange moon bumps. is she that delusional or is she just trolling the BRF to pull line of succession for the kids.

saw pics of them watching oprah (like they were watching england in the world cup) a few pics are showing a moonbump that’s big and small all in the same sequence. she is a medical marvel. there is a great pic of her with her hand on his face while watching. wow she controls him doesn’t she. saw a few comments that the room they were watching in didn’t look like the style of the house they supposedly own. hmmm a hotel? and who the heck films themself watching them self on tv

reading texts from beyoncé. i’m thinking beyoncé is regretting it now. she doesn’t need the publicity and she surely has been silent about these too since the whole queen meghan pic (in hindsight could have been a bit of trolling too. the kardashians have those pics of themselves dressed like royalty too).

sounds like a bitter angry series of episodes. the BRF doesn’t need to respond. there are probably lies in there but they sound so bitter people just want them to stop. i am guessing the Spare has more salacious details and prob a bunch of anti william stuff and maybe they will have to respond. More curious if true Spare is mostly about him how will she get out there with her own PR to one up him (because we know they will)

is it me but i don’t recall a joint statement from william and harry that said it wasn’t because of william that they are out. i recall their statement on sussex royal but not the joint one. is it fake news or did it get lost in the kerfuffle of the megxit
I live in hope that if they turn up for the Coronation, they are both `sectioned' under the Mental Health Act and are never let out in public again.

I'm sure the RF would ensure that the children are properly cared for, whoever they may be related to.

curiously the netflix whine fest seems to be about stuff that hit the papers. other than the california pics the series doesn’t give you really anything new about interactions with the royal family. no arguments at christmas dinner or any other intimate gatherings. talking about the queen like her grandmother (diminishing the other facet of THE QUEEN). but the airing dirty laundry was really absent anything outside of the newspaper headlines. no will and kate never came to visit they privately shunned my wife. my dad ignored my wife and never had us for supper. i wanted specially to do x and i was rejected. it’s just curious. and they show no remorse or no maybe i was a bit hot headed on things and so accept i could have been better at revealing my truth. i know kids that take better responsibility for their actions.

spare is gonna be interesting. will it be an anti william whine fest. how much can or will he reveal because netflix wasn’t that enlightening (just a regurgitation of complaints) not sure what he can reveal which should of wasn’t revealed in netflix.

Very true but if the rumours are true, they wouldn't dare broach the subject, it'd be too hot to handle and wouldn't stand up to scrutiny so best, from their point of view, to confine themselves to racism and victimhood, which, incidentally, they can't prove/back up. Once again, which is it, Megsy baby? The BRF are horrible, racist people or so kind and charming, like the Queen and Charles? She can't even remember or else can't make up her mind.

There is nothing remotely attractive in being a victim and being seen crying. I think most of us would be mortified at being seen whining and crying. Obviously, TBW hasn't mastered the British art of 'chin up' and 'stiff upper lip' (in fact she criticised it).
The two of them are pathetic cry babies and a huge embarrassment to the RF and the UK (the US too).

Okay - william yelled at him at the Sandringham summit. Shock! Gasp! ahem, didn't we know that from the leaks from the staff back in the day. I remember reading that here on the blog.
and - it was the queen who said, there is no half in/ half out, but I do not see mention of it in any of the covverage. HM is the one who put her foot down.
And - gee: wasn't it Diana who said that H was raised to be W's wing man when he was King? I can see W being upset that H decamping to live his best life was not what mom wanted.
and - I want receipts on HMTQ being blocked from seeing H. The interview of H bragging about his relationship with HM makes more sense now.
and - if they were willing to have the ducal titles pulled, then why are they using them to make money - talk about Hypocrits! Why didn't they market themselves as Prince and Princess Henry of Wales from the beginning? Because they had no intent and that is plain from the history that has played out.

I just can't.
I think most watching will be out of curiosity….but out of those how many will take what said as the truth or even bits of it as such?🤔😟

For this reason, I’d still prefer the royal family address the historical inaccuracies, even if they don’t address anything else. 😕

Charles has a temper and yes so does William, but I think he’s learnt to control it better. Mole I think is aggressive as well as having a bad temper.

@Maneki Neko,

Maybe the cabin crew said, I hope you were happy with the (cabin) service, if she was flying by private jet. Other than that, I don’t think anything was said. 🤔

I have One Foot in Grave on, The Wisdom of the Witch episode. 😁 A bit of Victor Meldrew puts everything into perspective! 😁😂

Liar seems to believe that if she continues to portray herself as a victim, people will eventually be compelled to believe her. She tweaks her stories each time, hoping to find that sweet spot that will resonate with the masses. If people did believe her, she would likely just continue dwelling on the past, because that’s all she has. She and Friar are NOTHING without the Royal Family. But, they will never admit it. They (pathologically) believe they were the true stars that everyone else was jealous of. They have used Diana to justify their abhorrent behavior so often that they will likely destroy her memory, before they’re finished.

I have not watched any of the episodes on NF, only a few clips in the news, but I am mad as hell and have had enough of their lies and manipulative behavior. If William DID scream and yell at Friar, my respect for him doubled. These two need a healthy dose of reality and I hope they are booed by crowds wherever they go.

I don't believe that William shouted and screamed at him, but, like most people, I do so want it to be true. If so, I bet the Queen perhaps raised an eyebrow slightly and was most impressed.

Does anyone believe the 5 scenarios they presented? They had already published their manifesto of what they wanted and thought they could get. Supposedly the Queen assembled a team who considered 5 different options but the Queen decided they would be completely out but they could have a year to change their minds. Perhaps they got briefed on the 5 scenarios the team considered and they foolishly thought they could pick and choose which one they wanted.
BTW, the alleged `screaming' reminds me of when I bellowed fortissimo at narc husband. He had slithered into the kitchen with a draft letter he wanted to show me, addressed to a well-off elderly relative who was not long for this world. He said it was so I couldn't say he told lies about me.

Of course , it was a pack of lies.

So I took a deep breath, kept my hands down by my side, as relaxed as I could, and bellowed `HOW DARE YOU!!!'

I continued in that vein pointing out each untruth and he cowered in front of me, all a-cringe. I didn't let him get a word in - I'd learned how to use my voice when I taught in a boys' school.

When I gave over, he slunk away without a word. I, on the other hand, felt great, thanks to hyperventilation, really powerful. It struck me that this feeling was why he used to erupt at me.

He evidently did write a letter pleading poverty and how I was after all his money. (I certainly wasn't - I just wanted back the relatively small sum I'd put into the jointly-owned house - my entire savings). A friend told me soon after that Narc had been seen reading the menu outside the most expensive restaurant in town...

Putting 2+2 together, I found out that his acquaintance had died, so my solicitor challenged him about a bequest. She'd left him a very tidy sum, so he could have settled easily - not that he did.

It was only when I was made redundant some years later, and could have pursued him for support, that he settled. Until then, he'd only have agreed to divorce if I'd signed my share of the house over to him.

I hope this tale brings a little insight and hope, that greedy narcs can be beaten.
`Institution' once implied only lunatic asylums.

BTW,m I deplore how the English language is being stripped of its special terms. Once we had, besides `inmates', `clients', `passengers', `tax-payers', `claimants', `patients', `gamblers' - now we are just `customers', (though `inmates' now denotes `prisoners', rather than residents of an asylum).
I'm now fantasising about what I'd bellow at H, given the chance...

This a perfectly composed photo. Done by the photographer or the Wales' staff. Wales are too busy to come up with this for their Christmas cards.

I am watching H&M the first episode. Clearly it shows how gracious and giving the Royals were to her/them. They bent over backwards to welcome her, provide what she needed to succeed, William was smiling as he was standing up for Harry watching his brother's delight in his bride. The British people lined the streets and cheered them on. What more could she ask for?

Money.

Money has been her objective from the very beginning. She wanted to commercialize her/their title(s) to make bank.

Money is not what royalty is about. It's about Service to others. Not to line your own pockets.

So far, the audio of the program appears to be bitter grapes because she/they could not be half-in, half-out and commercialize royalty. How poorly they were treated!(Not)

However, the video of their wedding shows the opposite of what claims of untoward treatment she is asserting.

The Daily Mail is so naughty. They must make so much $$$ from the hate clicks for their * & Hazmat stuff. Is * or the Daily Mail trolling us with the story & amazing photos below? They are hilarious!

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-11541249/Meghan-Markle-heavily-pregnant-Frogmore-Cottage-previously-unseen-snaps.html#comments

* & her baby bump remind me of that Canadian shop (a male who identifies as female) teacher who's gotten some press for wearing huge prosthetic breasts to school. As for *, as Hazmat said it, 'That's some big baby!' The little guy shown in their home photos is cute & looks sweet. So sad he has a mom who's a loon. As others have mentioned, interesting that the duo don't ever address the rumors about the provenance of their children, which if untrue, would seem to be more hurtful than anything they mentioned in the 'documentary.'

I tried to watch the second installment, just too slow & boring for me. The Hazmats: 'We're God's gift to man,' 'Everyone was/is so jealous & mean to us,' 'We're a girl and a guy in our forties, who have the greatest love story ever.' Blah, blah blah. The directer of the series had a decent reputation, I'm surprised she wasn't able to weave a more compelling narrative. I haven't seen her other work, just saw the stories about her.

Maneki Neko:

The `Bump' photos -I too am unconvinced.

Yet again, she's defying gravity. The bump itself looks almost spherical, as if all forces, both gravitational and hydrostatic, are operating it equally at all points, no downward pull from the Earth.

She is also standing bolt upright, as if the protruding bulge has no weight at all, instead of being made of a baby, membranes and fluids. I'd have expected to see her leaning back to counter it.

Was she absent from school the day they `did' pregnancy? Likewise did she miss the lesson on centre of gravity? She's completely oblivious as to how the physical world works.

Unbelievable!! So the miscarriage was the fault of the DM! And who decided to sue? Did the DM sue * or was it * who sued them? It's never their fault, is it?
For centuries, our kings were war leaders who were expected to protect their people and their lands. Had H been carrying on like this in Early Medieval times, before King Alfred's day, he'd have been taken out swiftly and decisively, on the spot, with a battle axe and without benefit of a jury trial. No second chance.

Good for you, William. That snivelling wuss deserved a good shouting at and should count himself lucky he lives now and not in the past.
Thank you kind Nutties for the telly listings. I’ll look out for it on ITV. 😃

@WBBM, as if an article could cause a miscarriage, it takes some delusional paranoia to think and believe that, let alone say it out loud on a documockery! 😲It’s fake news anyhow, right up there with the suicidal thoughts. It’s the ultimate insult to real individuals who have suffered and those who have lost loved ones via the latter. 🙁

WBBM, totally agree about H if he lived in past times. He poses just as much threat to the monarchy as if he had an army besieging the castle. Maybe he thinks if he can bring down the current monarchy, including William and his children, he will become King. I doubt he wants them all to die...just send them into exile.
So he should be treated as the threat he is...completely cut off, never allowed in the country let alone anywhere near the RF, titles and place in the LoS revoked...

Harry's clearly treading firmly on the path blazed by his collateral ancestor, another "Prince Over the Water." Like Harry, Bonnie Prince Charlie had charm in his youth; in exile, this dissipated quickly, leaving a red-faced, bad-tempered drunk perpetually in debt and perpetually quarreling with his live-in drab, sedulously avoided by respectable European royals, moving around constantly to avoid dunning by creditors, and with a dubious offspring who battened on to the nasty old wreck for whatever money and social cachet was left...

(copied from the DM)

Speaking to the camera in episode five, Harry added: ‘She knew that we were finding things hard. I’d spoken to her many times about it. She told me she had no plans for the week.

'She said, “Well, why don’t you come up?” You can have tea, but why don’t you stay the night, you and Meghan?”’

Why would she offer to let them stay in the castle when they have this very expensive (read upsetting to taxpayers) redone cottage she had earmarked for them? Wouldn't that be rubbing salt in to the taxpayers? I know that it was ultimately paid by the duo but what message is it that they don't even use it (after paying all that money) but couch surf at Granny's down the road?

Besides isn't that where they were supposed to be staying between when she passed and the funeral? So there should be enough stuff there for basic ready for any drop in use, right?

And I doubt she, of anyone, would have opened herself up and said how they had nothing planned for her. She might not have formal functions but she still handled many things as well we know up until her passing.

IDK - would she have even allowed them unsupervised run of the castle? To come over takes a certain amount of time in terms of getting tickets, packing, who all is going, plans about who is staying, who is caring for the dogs and gone for how long? He would not need a visa but would she?

This whole thing doesn't sound right. It does sound like quite a parallel sub-drama of how hopes to reconnecting to a beloved family member keep getting shut down by gatekeepers.

How convenient that she isn't around to comment.
Watching CNN “royal revelations”. Well they have certainly drunk the coolaid. Poor poor Hawwy and Megsie. So badly treated by the nasty royal family and media. They tried soooo hard to make it work. Ugh just ugh.

Two ex erpts from an article in the Sun ... I chuckled at how they indirectly but firmly put the narc in her place in the second excerpt;

https://www.thesun.co.uk/tv/20772072/harry-meghan-examples-truth-reality-netflix/

THEIR VERSION: THEY boast about how well their 2018 tour of Australia went, showing ecstatic fans getting excited about meeting them.

Harry and Meghan are dubbed the “superstars” of the Royal Family when the tour is covered.

Harry says: “I mean, looking back on it now, I am amazed we managed to do what we did.”

Meghan interrupts: “But also even harder when I was pregnant.”

She describes it as a rigorous tour and Meghan’s pal Abigail Spencer says it “went so well”.

REALITY: MEGHAN had explosive rows with aides during the 16-day trip.

She is alleged to have lost her temper with one assistant and a hot drink was knocked over.

She was also said to have become upset at being given only a wing of the Australian Governor’s mansion, rather than the whole property during the visit.

Her assistant, Melissa Toubati, resigned a month after the tour, their first as a royal couple.

THEIR VERSION: MEGHAN recalls saying “Oh, my god” to Harry when she realised she had upstaged the Queen at the Festival of Remembrance in 2018.

The couple were staying at Buckingham Palace when they came down and saw the headlines on the morning magazines and papers.

REALITY: The Queen was the most loved monarch in British history and one of the most photographed people in the world.

It would have taken Meghan several lifetimes to upstage her.

One interaction which keeps popping into my mind while watching the Netflix show is the one between the Princess of Wales and * just before they got into the car after the walkabout after the Queen died. Catherine shot * a powerful look and * looked frightened, cowed, uncomfortable.
I keep thinking of that look and reaction. For all their accusations of how “mean” everyone is to them and how * tried her very best but “nothing was ever good enough for them,” in that moment it appears the * understood the power differential and her smugness was erased in that moment. She was ants to be portrayed as innocent, cool, Earth Mother, CA girl in the show, but I also recall her attitude and body language towards the aid who tried to take the bouquet of flowers from her. Not a nice way to treat an aide!

Meet Archie's former nanny Lorren Khumalo - and learn what it's like working for Harry and Meghan

Rachel Avery
Fri, 16 December 2022 at 9:50 am GMT

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Netflix show, Harry & Meghan featured a lot of relevations about the royal family and their private lives and their son Archie's former nanny Lorren Khumalo also appeared on the show. The former employee of the Sussexes has spoken out on camera about working with the royal couple.
Who is Lorren Khumalo?
Lorren is a professional nanny who is from Zimbabwe who was hired by the Sussexes in 2018 to help care for their firstborn, Archie.
Lorren is Archie's former nanny and is no longer employed by the couple, but she did appear in their hit documentary to talk about her time with the family.
Speaking about her appointment by the royal couple, she said: "I had this phonecall and they were like, Prince Harry and Meghan would like to see you and speak to you about looking after Archie, I was like 'Hang on a minute I need to sit down'."
Lorren spoke on the Netflix show
She also reveals that she even got a speeding ticket on the way to Frogmore Cottage to meet the royals because she was so eager!
Lorren even accompanied the couple on their South Africa tour, when Archie was just four months old. It has since been revealed that there was a dramatic moment when Archie's nursery caught fire, but luckily he was with Lorren at the time and not in his room which got engulfed in flames.

The nanny took care of their firstborn
What has Lorren Khumalo said about working with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?
On settling into life with the Sussexes, Lorren recounted: "Suddenly whatever I thought or felt, the formality just slid, and I felt so at ease."
She also explained what daily life looked like for the family. "They were really hands on parents. In the morning when he woke up, firstly mum and dad would come in, they would be with their baby, she would feed him, and then after that I'd take over and normally we'd go for a morning walk."

What have Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said about Lorren Khumalo?
"She just took care of, not just Archie, but she took care of us, she definitely took care of me," said Meghan while being interviewed for her Netflix documentary.

For example, as the new person at work, it's natural that people would be curious about me, and ask about my background, personal life, etc. However, I know that this is temporary, and soon, I would hope to have the spotlight off of me so I could be a normal and appreciated member of the team.

People's reaction is dubbed "shiny object" phenomenon, when people's attention is attracted by the newness of an object, person or situation.

The same applies to their tour of Australia. They had a rapturous welcome because they were the new "thing". It didn't mean that they were going to be the most beloved members of the BRF for eternity. They would have to work to keep that level of interest up.

And, it didn't mean that they upstaged anyone, as the Queen had earned the steadfast love of the people through decades of hard work without putting a foot wrong.
Did H start blubbing on parade if the Sergeant Major got in his face and called him `an 'orrible scruffy little man'?

Her Late Maj made a big mistake I think, when she allowed him special treatment & permitted him to keep his beard in the Army - he wasn't going to be a Pioneer Sergeant, allowed to wear a beard. He should have been given the choice - go into the Navy and keep the beard, or remove the facial fungus in order to join the Army and be an officer, or shave but grow it again when he did became a Pioneer Sergeant.

It would taught him a valuable life lesson - you often have to choose, because you can't have it both ways or expect special treatment.

Daily Mail, The Sun and Daily Mirror are being sued by hapless one ... because they called him a traitor. He always picks on the British tabloids.

This is so pathetic. I guess that she is egging him on and that the reaction to the mockumentary (and silence from the royal family but picking apart of their lies by royal courtiers and so many media people, across the board) is really upsetting them.

Technically he can build a case on what the definition of a traitor is and then say this was defamatory as they are not traitors, and their lawyer from Schillings will be all for it. But if I was them, I would not go there. It will end badly for them, like her court case. Technically she won because she always had a solid copyright infringement case, but she was damaged by what was exposed of the duo ... that they are liars and manipulators.

I have just looked at the various definitions of 'traitor' and I think he is on shaky ground.
-----
a person who betrays someone or something, such as a friend, cause, or principle.
"he was a traitor to his own class"
-----
The meaning of TRAITOR is one who betrays another's trust or is false to an obligation or duty.
-----
someone not loyal to friends or family
-----
One who goes against a group of people he originally had loyalty towards

One who betrays any confidence or trust.

The photos of the holiday service are lovely. The royal family at its best. I liked Williams speech including a quote from the queen regarding family togetherness. They are right to not allow the disgruntled duo to hijack Christmas.

I only watched the previews and read this site and links. I can't endure six hours of artsy farts videos and complaints.

Now that it has all aired, I feel like " this is it? Nothing new. No bombshells. More of the same dysfunction.

Oh, I don't know that they think of it as lying (say the heater story or how the crowds were so much greater for them than when his parents visited Australia).

My opinion is that it is about as making the "it" of the story more real, more scary, more wonderful - always more of what ever than reality for anyone else.

Remember the noodle meal after she was taken to the spa. Most of us would say something like, "And we had noodles there after." But not her. She had the best noodles. (what? like she never ate noodles again?)

The best, the worse, the most (implied > than you).

Dr. Seuss wrote a book titled To Think that I Saw it on Mulberry Street where the kid sees a horse and wagon and from that builds up a whole parade, maybe a circus and all kinds of other things.

Funny, I was about to post I my legally-unqualified view that the Harkles may be guilty of High Treason, by way of Interfering with the Succession, and suddenly I lost Google Chrome. I know that my pages sometimes do disappear for a moment but it didn’t come back this time.

Is someone watching me?

The Harkles, I believe, can be considered as treacherous/traitors in both the broad and narrow senses. If they have any sense at all, they should steer clear of this.

Let’s see if this C&P version of my thoughts stays up…
Lying?

Remember, a former Prime Minister of ours escaped charges of lying over the Dodgy Dossier because he genuinely believed that what it said was true. So he was free of charges of war crimes.

The Harkles, like so many narcissists, sincerely believe to be true things that are manifestly untrue to others. Their minds fail to register that they are guilty of what they accuse others of; their projection of their own faults onto others comes from armour-plated denial. Their `truth' does exist for them - it is manufactured within their brains automatically I suspect, so strong is their denial that they could do such a thing.

I could not agree more. I would love to see H bring this lawsuit. Then it can be itemized on record all the ways in which H has betrayed his country and/or the Crown. I do not know how it works in Britain, but could the Monarch and first in line be called to testify as to the behind-scenes evil doings that prove H’s treason? The RF would involuntarily rebut all of the Harkles’ lies in a court of law—even though they do not wish to engage in tit for tat. H would have created this scenario.

A colossally dim idea if you’re on the Harkles’ side but a brilliant one if you’re on the RF’s! Ha! Go ahead, H!

@Observant One,

I didn't make the shiny new object concept up, regrettably. It's a pop psychology concept.

From Wikipedia:

Shiny object syndrome (SOS[1]) is a pop-cultural, psychological concept where people focus on a new and fashionable idea, regardless of how valuable or helpful it may ultimately be.[2][3] While at the moment it seems to be something worth focusing one's attention upon, it is ultimately a distraction,[1] either a personal distraction or something that is done intentionally to distract others.[4] People who face a fear of missing out are especially susceptible, as the distraction of shiny objects in themselves clouds judgment and focus.[5]

Just to put things in perspective, a couple of years ago we watched a Netflix film, My Octopus Teacher, about a man who befriends an octopus. It may sound bizarre but it was a wonderful, sensitive film showing a rapport, as strange as it may sound, between the man and an octopus. It was actually moving. The reviews were excellent, 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.1/10 on IMDb. The film also won six awards and at the 93rd Academy Awards, it won the award for Best Documentary Feature.
And then there's the Harkles 'documentary'...

MEGHAN MCCAIN: Kiss America goodbye, Harry and Meghan, you've finally lost us: We're covering our eyes, plugging our ears and screaming -please God, make it stop

A few excerpts from a DM article
The New York Times reheated the 'second serving of reviews' of the Megflix opus. 'Some critics have had their fill of the couple's account,' they write, detailing a laundry list of critics who found it to be 'grudge-rehashing,' a 'gussied-up reality show' and 'out-of-touch, self-absorbed and cornier than a Hallmark movie.'

Left-leaning The Atlantic ran the headline, 'The Cringeworthy End of "Harry & Meghan" on Netflix… The ex-royals insist they're moving on. Viewers should be so lucky'. Far-left Slate ran the hilarious headline, 'It's okay to admit Harry and Meghan are annoying.'

Yes, we know it's 'okay'.

The royally aggrieved couple's bestie, CBS News anchor Gayle King, who attended Meghan's baby shower, called the finale, 'very dicey'. Whoopi Goldberg said she had better things to do than watch it at all. Liberal shock jock Howard Stern was calling them 'whiny bitches… like the Kardashians but boring,' even before the series ended.
. . . .
Never once in the entire series did Harry and Meghan show a scintilla of introspection. Never did they ask to be forgiven, or show personal accountability and growth.

According to them, there's nothing they could have done differently. They're perfect angels, blameless. In their telling, it was the Queen and the rampantly racist royal family who felt threatened by Meghan's incandescent star power. She's a super-mega-ultra-star. No one could possibly compete with her and she was punished for it.

Instead of anything resembling reality, we get a front row view into their home in one of the wealthiest areas in America, Montecito, California. It looks like a Nancy Meyers set, impeccably decorated, including one scene where Meghan is sitting on a chair with an Hermes blanket behind her that costs a cool $1,650.

Why it’s valid to ask where Ngozi Fulani is really from
Esther Krakue
Fri, 16 December 2022 at 5:50 pm GMT

Fulani, who is of Barbadian descent, often wears African-themed clothes that are far more dramatic than anything real second-generation Black African Britons would wear -

Where are you really from? This question, asked to black charity boss Ngozi Fulani by Lady Susan Hussey at a Buckingham Palace reception in November, was immediately condemned as an act of racism committed by someone at the heart of the British establishment. The ripples continue to be felt – this week it was reported that the Charity Commission is examining a series of allegations over the running of Sistah Space, the organisation that Fulani heads up, although, encouragingly, in a separate development, Fulani and Lady Hussey met today and agreed to move on from the row.

In the first 48 hours following Fulani’s accusation, it became clear that American-style ‘critical race theorists’ – who believe it to be an assertion of white privilege to suggest that a non-white person has ethnic roots elsewhere – had won the day.

Fulani’s word was taken almost as fact by some mainstream media outlets. There weren’t many questions asked about the accuracy of the detailed transcript of her conversation with Lady Hussey that she posted on Twitter, or, in her subsequent media interviews, whether she had evidence to back it up.

Esther Krakue: ‘Upon seeing the picture of Fulani at Buckingham Palace, my Ghanaian mother thought she was dressed as a fetish priest’

It was a bizarre display in moral confusion. Some white journalists must have thought it wasn’t their place to scrutinise an accusation of racism by a black person. Yet this was a story with consequences – not least for Lady Hussey herself, an elderly woman for whom we should have a higher standard of respect. Questions may now have started to be asked about other areas of Fulani’s role, but, in my view, the lack of scrutiny regarding her initial accusation counts as a miscarriage of justice and a failure to uphold proper journalistic standards.

Surely, any fair analysis of the accusation would begin with the question of whether there could be a context in which it would be legitimate to ask questions about Fulani’s background? I believe the answer to this is a firm “Yes”.

In answering that basic question, we should first ask others. For instance: why did Fulani change her name (she was originally Marlene Headley) from a typically Caribbean-British one to an African one? Why does she often wear African dress on television despite being of Barbadian descent? And, more to the point, why does she feel the need to dress so dramatically (second-generation Black African Britons do not typically walk the streets of London wearing an animal-print dress, a necklace of cowrie shells and acute matted hair)?

Then, there are more specific details which those with knowledge of West African names might want to ask, since Fulani’s adopted name is itself rather unusual. She has taken on a typical first name from the Igbo tribe (Ngozi) but used the name of a different tribe (Fulani) as her surname. From my experience, this is not a common occurrence; a person in Accra or Abuja with such an exotic mix of tribal names might well be asked: “Where are you really from?”
Fulani on Good Morning Britain in October - ITV

In fact, if I were an easily offended person, I might consider this to be a case of Fulani appropriating my West African culture. Her outfits, which appear to be inherited from African tribes, could be seen as making a mockery of African heritage. On numerous visits to Accra, I have seen as many people dressed so elaborately as you have seen men wearing a shirt marked ‘White Van Man’ with a St George’s flag tattoo on their forehead – that is, I have not seen them at all.

Upon seeing the picture of Fulani at Buckingham Palace, my Ghanaian mother thought she was dressed as a fetish priest (a person in Western African culture who serves as a mediator between the spirits and the living).

So where is she really from?

There is one possible explanation for Fulani’s confusing image. It is possible that she identifies with the pan-Africanist movement, which advocates that all people of Caribbean descent should rebuild a connection with Africa, the continent from which their ancestors were forcibly removed as slaves.

This is a legitimate cause – many Africans are pan-Africanist and welcome the identification of Caribbeans as Africans. But it is also an inherently political one. It would explain her change of name and African-style outfits, but it would not justify her total resistance to answering questions about them when approached by, say, a Lady Susan Hussey. And it most certainly wouldn’t justify the accusation of racism. Questioning pan-Africanism is political, not racial.

This brings us to two concluding points. The first is that, evidently, the information we have is incomplete. The above analysis is only one possible explanation, since I do not know Fulani and nor did I witness the event in question. But second, given there are so many unanswered questions, how on earth were so many people so sure that Lady Hussey had acted wrongly? On what basis can we determine that she had been racist? The whole saga has been fundamentally unjust.

If Buckingham Palace had conducted their investigation over a period of time, rather than a few short hours, they may have been informed of these points before removing her from the institution she has devoted her life to.

Fulani, as an apparent student of African tribes and societies, will know that respect for elders is a strong theme that runs through the continent. Is she happy with how this has turned out – or does she merely want to perform our customs without following them?

From The Spectator:

Harry and Meghan’s great miscalculation

The Sussexes have lost more fans than they’ve won over

By Kara Kennedy

Ladies and gentlemen, that’s a wrap. The last leg of Meghan and Harry’s docuseries aired Thursday, where we learned about institutionalized gaslighting, how terrified Harry is of big, bad Prince William and what Beyoncé thinks about the whole saga, obviously.

The final three episodes, admittedly, were the bombshell some hoped for. Harry and Meghan’s usual approach of accusing nameless figures of terrible acts went out the window. Prince William was the villain, King Charles didn’t come off much better. Hell, they even threw in some sly digs at the late Queen. For many Brits, this is a cardinal sin.

Apparently, we’re done. All over. H tells us that finally: it’s time to move on. Except what the Sussexes fail to realize is that when seeking a new life, it helps to not constantly drone on about the old one. The pair claim to be “healed,” yet they come across like a middle-aged divorcé who constantly talks about his ex on a first date.

Harry and Meghan seem to be the only oblivious ones. The responses to the documentary are dire. Most viewers can see this for what it is: an attempt to elevate Meghan to godlike, Obama-Oprah status while avoiding any responsibility for the Sussexes’ mishaps along the way. This time the press were even blamed for Meghan’s miscarriage.

One thing is clear: Meghan is the martyr. Beyonce’s text — which had the Sussex staple of being impeccably timed — read that the singer believed Megs was “selected to break generational curses that need to be healed.”

If that wasn’t enough for you, the duchess also recounted a time that a cabin crew member knelt before her and thanked her for “sacrifice.” Well, at least this time she didn’t claim to have been told that her wedding day saw mere mortals rejoicing in the streets “the same we did when Mandela was freed from prison.”

Maybe us proles will never get it. In Harry and Meghan’s own words, they’re the only ones that can tell the whole story. They are the only ones that can bestow the “truth” upon us, even if their truth goes a bit differently to everybody else’s. As Buckingham Palace once said, recollections may vary. But it seems that the documentary has succeeded in uniting the world in acknowledging one undeniable “truth”: that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tell fibs. The usual suspects — Piers Morgan, the British tabloids — are one thing; but now even the Atlantic has branded the pair “cringeworthy.” Air Mail describes the whole affair as a “pity party.”
Rebecca said…
While Meghan is famously incapable of retaining staff, she should try a bit harder in haranguing her PR team after this debacle. Whoever’s idea it was to say, “why don’t you complain about the grace and favor home you were gifted during a cost-of-living crisis?” absolutely deserves it. At 1,324 square foot, Nottingham Cottage is one and a half times larger than the average British home. Previous residents include Princess Diana and Prince William. Yet apparently the property was so shoddy that even Oprah claimed that “no one would ever believe” that Harry and Meghan were subjected to such a dump. Diddums!

It just so happens that the second slate of episodes was perfectly timed to overshadow the taping of Princess Catherine’s annual Christmas concert. The first trailer was released two days into the Waleses’ trip to Boston for the Earthshot awards, straight after the royal race row that saw Prince William’s godmother fired for asking a black woman where she was from. Perhaps Sussex PR isn’t all that bad.

Anyway, do you, the viewer, feel better? Watching two people speak their truth is supposed to be cathartic, remember. My sigh of relief at the closing credits was audible. All done. Until I realized that in a mere twenty five days, I’d be coerced into reading Hapless Harry’s tell-all memoir, Spare. Here we go again.

Thanks for the article from the Telegraph, which is spot on from an African perspective. I love it that the writer points out that respect for elders is widespread on the African continent, but any African could also point out the oddities in her name, how she was dressed and adorned herself and how she styles her hair ... I would go further and say she is a characiture of an 'African'. I think I feel sorry for people of colour around the world because they are descended from slaves and if they cannot be fully embraced as Westerners some of them try to find an African identity. White people in Africa stopped referring to themselves and being classified as Europeans about a generation ago. I think it is way past time for people of colour, especially in America, to drop the African from the description of themselves.

What do you think the chances are that the duo will get themselves gigs as 'royal commentators' for the coronation for some American or international network? Imagine them spouting their ignorant spiteful word salad?

There is a lovely video of I Vow to Thee my Country (music only) using scenes from the Queen's funeral. I tear up every time I watch it. He is depicted twice, and the one time he is shown walking behind the Queen's coffin with a spiteful petulant scowl on his face. It is in marked contrast to the expression on the faces of everyone around him, especially the family.

I think inviting the Harkles to the Coronation is a clever move, although it would have been good too to see them barred. Firstly, it won't give them more ammunitions to their claims (boo boo, we're not invited, see how nasty and racist they are) and secondly, Charles is the bigger person and is acting graciously, not that the duo deserve it. If they attend, they might well be booed and will look stupid - why would they attend as they hate the RF? - and hopefully, they'll be given seats at the back behind a pillar. Of course, if they had any decency and integrity, they'd decline the invitation. I said 'if'.

So now the Harkles are stuck: either they attend but run the risk of being booed and viewed negatively (greedy, hypocrites) or else they have to decline.

Harry and Meghan ‘will be invited to Coronation’ despite Netflix show claims
Laura Elston
Fri, 16 December 2022 at 11:17 pm GMT·3-min read

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will still be invited to the King’s coronation despite the damaging claims they levelled at the royal family in their Netflix documentary, it has been reported.

Harry and Meghan will have a place at Charles’ historic ceremony on May 6 if they wish to attend, The Daily Telegraph has said.

Guest lists for the religious affair in Westminster Abbey have yet to be drawn up, but a source told the newspaper: “All members of the family will be welcome.”
Buckingham Palace declined to comment. But a source said of the King: “He loves both his sons.”

The Sussexes are understood to have not yet received an invitation.
Both Buckingham and Kensington Palace have remained silent over Harry’s allegations that the Prince of Wales left his brother terrified after screaming and shouting at him during the Sandringham summit.

Harry also claimed in his controversial six-part series that Kensington Palace “lied to protect my brother” when it issued a statement denying a story William had bullied him out of the royal family.

And he accused Charles of lying at the tense Megxit crisis meeting with the Queen in January 2020.

Charles is said to be hurt by Harry and Meghan’s criticism of the royal family, but has not given up hope of building bridges, the Daily Express newspaper reported.

It added that the King does not want to strip the Sussexes of their titles.

The monarch spent Friday carrying on with his public duties.
He danced with Holocaust survivors including Anne Frank’s stepsister Eva Schloss while visiting a Jewish community centre in north London ahead of Chanukah celebrations.
On Thursday, when the final instalment of the bombshell Netflix series aired, William, Charles, the Queen Consort, Princess Charlotte, Prince George and a host of other royals put on a united front by joining the Princess of Wales at her Christmas carol concert in London.

The May 6 ceremony will see both Charles and Camilla crowned in front of hundreds of guests in the abbey.
The Palace has said the ceremony will be “rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry” but also “reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future”.

Yet May 6 is also the birthday of Harry and Meghan’s son Archie – Charles’s grandson – who will be turning four, posing questions over whether they would be able to attend.

Public relations and crisis consultant Mark Borkowski said the Sussexes were fighting a “visceral emotional war” with the royal family, but the only winners will be Netflix.
He said the documentary – which gave an insight into their luxury Californian lifestyle, battles with the media and travails with the royals in the aftermath of stepping down – was aimed at a US, not UK, audience.

“This is not messaging for the UK, they’ve clearly given that up, this is purely messaging for America who do understand that lifestyle,” Mr Borkowski said.
“This is a war, a visceral emotional war they’re fighting in America and they’re painting the royal family in a way which fits dangerously closely to the narrative of The Crown.”

`Religious affair' indeed!

Do you think they'd still have anetflix crew tagging along behind them?
@Design Doctor - * immediately came to mind when I heard the phrase `Social piranha' - she is of course well on her way to being s `social pariah' as well.

To return to those latest baby bump photos - I take it she's trying to prove to us that she really, really, had been preggers, not that they prove anything of the sort.

We can't prove she didn't give birth, thanks to medical confidentiality but she could settle it once and for all if she produced whatever paperwork she was given after the birth, when-/wherever it took place, with the full details and genuine signatures. After all, H must have had some document to show the Registrar when he toddled along to register the birth of their first child (my tongue is firmly in my cheek as I write this.)

The fact that she hasn't produced any such documentation yet speaks volumes. My guess, FWIW, is that H produced papers showing the birth of a male child to another woman at some undisclosed location which was not the Portland, backed up with documents from a surrogacy outfit. Unless of course, they used a turkey baster.

The 5s have released 'paper-free' 'joyful holiday season' card - no mention of Christmas. Paper-free is of course so environmentally friendly! (As opposed to private jets, I suppose). The text says 'From our family to yours, and on behalf of our teams at The Archewell Foundation, Archewell Audio, and Archewell Productions, we wish you health, peace, and a very happy new year.' The card, with a photo of the horrid two beaming at the Ripple of Hope award, is very impersonal. Ass for 'From our family to yours', I wonder what the RF and the Markles think.

Isn't part of the coronation ceremony that his errant son will have to kneel before King and Queen and pledge allegiance? Or will King Charles make 'adjustments' to the ceremony? Of course, the duchass will complain that she is excluded from that part of the ceremony, even though she is not a British citizen nor a blood relation nor a part of the aristocracy ... just like she was excluded from the Sandringham Summit for similar reasons. If King Charles does that part of the ceremony, spouses of working royals may pledge allegiance, so duchass would use that as an excuse to complain!

Would they even go so far as to make their own documentary of the coronation? She already has herself listed on IMBD as having a role in the coronation. Check out forthcoming projects (which includes a show on her wedding):

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1620783/

And him:

It could be that someone plans to do these documentaries and they will simply feature in them.

Genuine question: what do narcs do when they are ignored? Because that is essentially what the royal family are doing, despite the many accusations and lies contained in the mockumentary. Many others are making comments and pointing out lies, but, unlike after the Oprah interview, there is nothing from BP or KP.

Thanks for the articles from The Spectator and The Telegraph ... very interesting.

I still think his memoirs will do well, but it does depend on how much of a hand she had in it.

@WBBM
I still think that succeeding in passing off Archie as of her body when he was born to a surrogate is too much for the dim-witted pair. But theoretically hapless could have registered Archie's birth without any signed documentation from the hospital or any medical person involved in the birth. The registrar would not have questioned or asked proof from a senior royal ... they would simply have accepted the information he gave them, which she then had changed, because she has to control everything.

How odd to have a non-Christmas card with a photo being used that was not taken for that purpose. I thought Americans have a tradition of the family posing for a Christmas card photo?

Some gossip sites are convinced that the two are mostly living separately now and this will just increase the speculation.
@WBBM and Sandie,

I only managed to find the online version last night after reading it in the paper version of the DM . Another great article by Esther Krakue. 🤗

No one has promoted tolerance like the royals - which is why I can't forgive the Sussexes for their vindictive claims of racism in the family, writes ESTHER KRAKUE

True, and if any white person so much as wears a sombrero or styles their hair in cornrows, then it's 'cultural appropriation'.

I find it very telling that they say "from our family to yours" but don't include their children, so it's not really their family, is it? it's them. the two "superstars" of the BRF, and the children don't count. Real parents don't think like this, not even narcissistic ones.

Here’s a short TikTok by a former editor of Star tabloid regarding preMeghan there were no leaks from the Palace about the BRF. Post-Meghan, the leaks like a sieve were from MM herself. Receipts.

Re: Christmas card
Perhaps the card they released already is the business Christmas card and they will release a family card later to friends and family (copyrighted of course). If anyone publishes it, it would be grounds for lawsuit. Dejavu anyone? They could do this every year for $$$$. They are desperate. They have no real talents other than lying, grifting, and playing professional victims. The best thing anyone can do is ignore them. Including media. Stop publishing their garbage.
@Sandie: I did read somewhere that the paying homage part of the Coronation service may be restricted or cut all together. A queue of all the Life Peers would probably reach back through the West Door and onto Parliament Square.

@Maneki Neko & OCGirl - thank you both so much for bringing in `My Octopus Teacher'. I watched it immediately. A beautiful, moving, life-enhancing piece of work. I knew they were pretty intelligent (comparable with dogs, parrots, crows & 3yr-old children) but this was something else - a real sense of them sizing up the situation, not just acting instinctively. Were there something akin to the Turing test for animals, they'd pass with flying colours. A sense of a lively intelligence wanting to engage with a human.

I once had the chance to watch penguins close-up in our local zoo as they swam around their pond - I'd swear they were showing off to us and assessing what we were thinking of them - looking us in the eye and giving the distinct impression that there really was `someone at home' inside their heads, which is more than can be said of the Harkles.

Does `being fed to the wolves' mean she thought she was being lobbed bodily into the pack, whereas `being fed to them' conveyed the notion that she'd been chopped up and fed to them by hand, piece by piece?

Correct me please if I have worked this out incorrectly, but haven't they been out of the UK for longer than the time from the engagement to their departure?
@sandie - They wailand gnash their teeth in frustration at getting no `fuel', or find another `mark'.

It certainly seems a long time! But they were married in May 2018 and stomped off in a fit at the end of 2019 and Megxit was officially announced in January 2020. So, yeah, they've been gone @3 years, but THEY NEVER GO AWAY!

Lady C’s latest video is up. She said that both the King and William are terrified that Mole will top himself if he’s pushed over the edge. She said the concern is that Maggot will play the grieving widow for all that it’s worth (I’m paraphrasing).

She also said that the palace was still protecting Maggot and Mole from what the media know about them, just how much longer this would continue she doesn’t know. 🫤

My personal feeling is, that both the King and William should both accept the inevitable. Yes Maggot would milk her situation for all it’s worth, but even a grieving widow’s story has a shelf life. 🫤

I don't understand the 5s. The article below is from today's London Times, per Roya Nikkah

Harry & Meghan want a royal summit and an apology.

“It is like living through a soap opera where everyone else views you as entertainment,” the Duke of Sussex said about life in the royal family, during six hours of prime-time, “Kardashian-style” Netflix access into Harry and Meghan’s world of “truth”.

It is now clear that theirs is a soap opera the royal family want no part in.

Last year, in the aftermath of the couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, or “Soap Oprah” as the Palace dubbed it, Queen Elizabeth issued her masterstroke statement that “some recollections may vary” when the royal family stood accused of racism and callous disregard for the couple’s mental health. This time, the silence from Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace is deafening.

The royal family’s actions speak for themselves. The King danced the afternoon away on Friday at a Jewish community centre in north London. On Thursday, hours after the Sussexes’ second round of hand grenades, the Windsor clan was out in force at Westminster Abbey for the Princess of Wales’s carol service, dedicated to the values and legacy of the late Queen. Prince William read an extract from their grandmother’s 2012 Christmas message on “the spirit of togetherness”. Need he say more?

But Harry and Meghan do want more. It can be revealed today that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to “sit down with the royal family” for a meeting to address their “issues” after their damning six-hour Netflix series, which involved relentless criticism of the monarchy.

The couple feel the royal family has shown double standards by instigating a reconciliation meeting between Ngozi Fulani, the charity boss, and Lady Susan Hussey, a former lady-in-waiting to Queen Elizabeth. The latter made “unacceptable and deeply regrettable” comments about Fulani’s heritage last month, and Hussey offered her “sincere apologies” at last week’s meetings.

A source close to the Sussexes said: “Nothing like that was ever done when Harry and Meghan raised various concerns — no meeting, formal apology or taking responsibility or accountability. That is hard to swallow — 100 per cent yes they’d like to have a meeting.”

Meanwhile:
• The Sunday Times understands that Harry’s autobiography, Spare, which will be published on January 10, includes claims about the monarchy that are more incendiary than those made in the Netflix series.

• They are keen for a meeting and reconciliation with the royal family before the coronation next May, which they are expected to attend. A senior palace source said: “If they want to get in touch with the King, they know where he lives.”

• Friends of the Prince of Wales, who came under heavy fire in the Netflix series, said he had no plans to speak to his brother: “Things have been very strained for a while,” said a friend. “There is sadness at where things currently are with his brother . . . and there’s a memoir coming.” Another close friend of Prince William said: “The whole thing is mad.”

• It is understood the royal family and Buckingham Palace have no plans to respond to the Sussexes’ claims in the Netflix series or to arrange a meeting with the couple. A courtier said of Harry’s criticism of the monarchy in the series and his forthcoming book: “That is Harry’s decision – he’s taking one decision, we’re taking another.”

Asked why the royal family stayed silent last week, a courtier says: “We are deliberately keen to send a message by being voiceless. Our duty is to get on with the job. It isn’t to respond.”
The strategy of silence has been heard loud and clear around the world. Even the American TV news anchor, Gayle King, a close friend of the Sussexes, agrees with the approach: “That would seem the right tack to take from the Palace, just have no comment,” she said on her morning show last week.

Part 2 London Times:

A friend of the royal family adds: “They are right to rise above it and concentrate on demonstrating that service and duty matter. Let the trivialities, pettiness and contradictions speak for themselves.”

Harry’s childhood agony of growing up inside the royal goldfish bowl after his mother died, and Meghan’s suicidal thoughts and mental health issues as she struggled to cope with royal life are painful to watch. But during three more episodes of rage and revenge, Harry, still so raw, seems not to have come to terms with where he has ended up. Maybe he never will. Maybe that’s why the Netflix narrative needed massaging to support the Sussexes’ version of events.

Harry said it was “terrifying” to have William “scream and shout” during the Sandringham summit, a meeting called by the late Queen in January 2020 to determine the Sussexes’ future. The King said things “that simply weren’t true” and Her Majesty sat “quietly” taking it all in. “You have to understand,” Harry told us, “that from a family’s perspective, especially from hers, there are ways of doing things and her ultimate mission, goal, slash responsibility is the institution. People around her are telling her that proposal or these two doing x, y or z is going to be seen as an attack on the institution, then she’s going to go on the advice she’s been given.” Here, then, is Harry’s new version of the Queen — a pushover monarch, guided more by courtiers than her own razor-sharp instinct honed over a 70-year reign.

The problem is that his version doesn’t tally with anyone else’s experience of the Queen, who was “sharp as a tack” and calling the shots until the day she died. “It’s outrageous,” says a courtier. “Harry never wanted to admit to himself that it was the Queen who said, ‘no, you’re out’. He couldn’t fathom that he wasn’t the cheeky chappy who was going to sweet-talk grandma into getting what he wanted.”

Another seasoned courtier who watched the Sussex storm become a hurricane observes: “The narrative has shifted from Prince Harry on the Queen. It was always ‘my commander-in-chief, the boss’. But when he was not getting the support from her he wanted, she is represented as a diminutive figure sat in the corner.

“That is another manipulation of the narrative to suit the outcome as felt by Harry. Advisers made recommendations to Her Majesty, but there was only one person making the decisions. To look the truth squarely in the eye, to realise your relationship has been damaged and to know it was his commander-in-chief who decided he couldn’t have the half-in, half-out role he wanted, is probably too painful for him to accept.”

Nor does Harry seem able to accept anyone else’s point of view. When he returned for Prince Philip’s funeral last April, a year after ditching royal life, he said “chats with my brother and my father” frustrated him, because they were “very much focused on the same misinterpretation of the whole situation”. But the late Queen, the King and the Prince of Wales were always clear — part-time royals don’t work, never have, never will. Harry can’t forgive them: “I have had to make peace with the fact we’re probably never going to get genuine accountability or a genuine apology.”
A friend of the royal family says: “Harry is convinced his view is correct. He’s a man on a mission to change things in a way he thinks they need to be changed. It’s a true quest he’s on. The rest of the family think what he’s doing is hugely damaging. It’s two ideologies clashing in the quadrangle where neither can cede ground.”
NeutralObserver said…
London Times, Part 3:

A friend of Harry’s agrees: “People ask ‘why air your dirty laundry?’ Everything Harry does and says is rooted in wanting to try and change things for the better, even if not everyone agrees with that. If the outcome of all of this is an institution and a family that operates in a more modern way, then so much the better . . . if there is a chance to improve things for the next generation, that’s a positive.”

Of course, there was more media-bashing and claims that the British press is the Palace’s “partner”, working hand in glove to thwart the Sussexes at every turn. Harry spoke of “institutional gaslighting”, which sent royal insiders’ eyebrows skywards: “Gaslighting? You are gaslighting the family via global television,” says a former courtier.

A friend of the King says: “It’s a disgraceful betrayal of trust, an unwelcome distraction in the short term and very hurtful to the family. But it’s not as damaging to the monarchy as we feared. Most sensible people will see it for what it is — self-indulgent, one-sided and exploitative. With every passing month and year, it will be seen as the tawdry, shameful exercise it was. I’m sure Harry will come to regret it unless he’s lost to the world. William must be furious and the King will be devastated, but they will crack on, showing on a weekly basis what the job entails and the value it brings — Harry and Meghan can’t. Any chance of reconciliation is much harder now.”

Harry spoke last week of new chapters: “As sad as it is, in order for change to happen sometimes a lot of pain has to come to the surface — in order to move to the next chapter you’ve got to finish the first chapter.” Next month, he is primed to give us many more chapters — 416 pages’ worth — when his memoir Spare is published.

But royal sources believe that the couple have “overplayed their hand quite badly” with so much deeply personal content, much of it scathing of the monarchy and how it treated them. A source says: “They’ve fired all their ammunition and keep shooting the same bullets. Their business model must rely on them making money from something, what will it be if not to rely on this narrative of victimhood?”

A source close to the Sussexes says that after Harry’s book, the couple will “focus on their service work” rather than “anything personal — they’re looking forward to people being interested in what they’re doing beyond all the drama.”

An increasingly weary monarchy and public will hope Harry will be true to his word after he said in the final Netflix episode: “My wife and I, we are moving on. We are focused on what’s coming next.” It’s a funny way to describe six hours of looking back at years of family strife, which has alienated him from most of his family and some of his friends: “I miss my friends. I’ve lost a few friends in this process as well.” By her own admission, spilling the beans has not given Meghan “peace” after all: “I can’t have peace without truth. We got some truth out there but it hasn’t given us peace.”

A YouGov poll last week showed the Sussexes’ popularity has fallen to new depths with Britons. Only Prince Andrew is now less popular. The audience, it seems, has decided.

@Raspberry Ruffle: Thanks for the comment from Lady C. Mrs. Dumbarton most likely has had Mr. off his meds for quite some time, hence the family worry over Mr.'s mental health. Depression, anger, and permanent scowling have replaced Hairy's previous genial nature. A narcissist doesn't want other people to be happy because the narcissist is bitter and angry through and through, and they are jealous and threatened by happy people. So is someone with Borderline Personality Disorder.

The BRF is not giving the Dumbartons any ammunition. The camera crews for the news will just have to have another gigantic candle in place.

Interesting that proven liars and possibly thieves that steal from charities want the King and Prince of Wales to have a meeting to apologize to THEM? That isn't how it works. THEY should be crawling in, abjectly apologizing, and telling the media about all the slander that they've slung toward the BRF.

Otherwise, they should continue the grift and enjoy their stay at Motel 6. I'm sure there will be a light on for them and bedbugs for entertainment.

Is This the REAL THING THIS TIME? or is this just stringing people along?

Recently there was (yet another) post somewhere out in the world about how they will soon divorce.  And my first thought was: Haven't I heard this before?  which moved quickly to: how many times have I heard this (through the years)? There were a number of questions raised which ... I don't know.  I'm not a lawyer.  One of the points which has been raised is that KC would somehow be shelling out beaucoup money to get her to go "away".  That he has all this money stashed away and can pull it out at a moment's notice.  But does he? He inherited a lot of "stuff" from his mother but ... isn't it a lot of tangible stuff like properties? and with that staff to maintain it and insurance.  Inside said properties is art, antique furniture and other "old stuff" which may be valuable" but ... that kind of thing is subject to the whims and bank accounts of the rarified people who may be interested in it (which is not most of us in terms of bei

A Quiet Interlude

Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

Christmas is Coming

The recent post which does mention that the information is speculative and the response got me thinking. It was the one about having them be present at Christmas but must produce the kids. Interesting thought, isn't it? Would they show?  What would we see?  Would there now be photos from the rota?   We often hear of just some rando meeting of rando strangers.  It's odd, isn't it that random strangers just happen to recognize her/them and they have a whole conversation.  Most recently it was from some stranger who raved in some video (link not supplied in the article) that they met and talked and listened to HW talk about her daughter.  There was the requisite comment about HW of how she is/was so kind).  If people are kind, does the world need strangers to tell us (are we that kind of stupid?) or can we come to that conclusion by seeing their kindness in action?  Service. They seem to always be talking about their kids, parenthood and yet, they never seem to have the kids
