Christmas 2023

Christmas and then New Year.

It's a crazy time of year with all the anticipation of gifts given and received.  And followed by hopes of a good next year.

Them?  well, it is rarely seems to be a dull moment.  One or both always seem to have something going on.

Keep calm and carry on (while I wrap the gifts I have and order those I have not yet).

Interesting ... I have not been able to find out who took the photos of hapless for Backgrid. But, the photos are labelled as Premium Exclusive. The photos were taken 16 January. There is a web embargo until 10:21 pm EST, 17 January. The photos of hapless are the only ones with an embargo. Suspicious!

In the latest offerings from Backgrid: Brad Pitt and his girlfriend, haplesss, and Bianca Censori are Premium Exclusive. Bezos and Sanchez, Chris Evans with wife and friends, are Exclusive. Hunter Biden is neither Premium nor Exclusive!

By the way, I do not think that the family told hapless about Catherine's operation, nor the King's. The timing of the staged pap shots is coincidence

Unless hapless happened to phone his father and actually get to speak to him and did find out about the prostrate procedure. The King had no intention of keeping it a secret from the British people, so he might not have been concerned about saying something to his son. But I think this is unlikely.

Setting up pap shots in parking lots and on pavements is what the duo do ... because it makes them feel important?

This article is a mess. No, the monarchy do not need hapless. The King is still able to carry on his constitutional duties and no Counsellors of State need to step in for him. No way could hapless stand in for William or Catherine either. Besides, all three will be able to continue with the work they do 'in the office'. It is just public appearances that they will not be able to do for a while.

If a regency is required, it would not be Edward who would step in as regent. It would be William.

Neither the monarchy nor the UK need hapless.

Supposedly it was John Travolta who wanted to make hapless a living legend of aviation. Odd.
Regarding the princess of Wales being `off work' for an extended period, I was off for 12 weeks after my hysterectomy as my job daily entailed moving furniture for meetings with no assistance. I realise that is not something the Princess has to do but It was also weeks before I could stand comfortably without the feeling that my innards were being dragged down - just think how much time she has to spend on her feet.

@HumorMe says`…Abdominal surgery has you out of the hospital in 5 days at the most: Gall Bladder, total Hysterectomy with tube/ ovaries, even a simple transplant is 5 days if no complications.…’ and I imagine that even with modern techniques, there are still risks from thrombosis and such like.

It’s the `complications’ bit that’s important here. All NHS patients have to sign to say that they understand that all operations carry risks , none is 100% safe. Discharge might be delayed for fairly= trivial reasons - my blood pressure refused to go down within the expected time so I had to wait.

Presumably, the medics are especially risk-averse in this case – this patient is not only precious to her nearest and dearest but to the nation, a huge asset in terms of international relations. Perhaps they just want to be sure of help being at hand immediately in case of a sudden emergency, whereas little people like us may well have to wait hours for an ambulance or doctor to attend.

Heroics are still a bad idea, despite all recent surgical advances. I recently had a procedure after which I was told not to raise my arm(s ) above shoulder level for 4 weeks, lest I pull something free before it was properly bedded in. Perhaps they don’t want the PoW playing rugger too soon?

WBBM - agree with your thoughts and at her age, having major surgery (whatever it is) also has a psychological impact. As a mom - you carry the stress of the family and the kids, you think less of yourself and more for your childtren. You are young and healthy and suddenly you are not. That can keep anyone reeling from moderate or major health issues. I am glad they are giving her the time she needs to get completely better and I hope others can be afforded some of that grace too. I have no doubt in the future we may hear what it was and she champions a cause for early detection etc. But she cant be perfect and on point all the time so at least she has time to be a real human instead of an icon/role model/perfect princess.
Now I can't stop laughing!

Tomorrow night Her Pompous Nothingness wants to dance with John Travolta in a night dark blue off shoulders velvet evening dress!!!!

I pray, I DO pray they (the "living legends of aviation" people) say yes to this. The comedy gold in the annals of the ridiculousness of this one and his wife would be delicious.

John Travolta is a client of WME, so more arm twisting from WME. Most likely Mr. Loser has to pay for the award. I'm guessing in the $500,000 to $750,000 range. I don't think that someone like Chelsey Sullenburger would be required to buy the award. Some/most are probably awarded with proceeds coming from tickets to the gala event. It's something like $40,000 for a table. LLA is a non-profit to educate and get children interested in aviation. The event is sold out. It's gonna be a circus at that event with Mrs. Loser on the most serious prowl of her life. She'll make barracudas look benign.

Blind Item #2
Now the arch rival of the royal is pushing the narrative that not only is the royal a racist, but is also an alcoholic which is why she needed surgery.

some interesting comments including some pasted screenshots about the award that Hairy will be getting.
It was Lauren Sanchez, Jeff Bezos' fiancee who leaked that the Sussicks paid for their award.
Also, Lady C says that after the awards, * wants to dance with John Travolta in a similar dress as Diana wore in her fling around the ballroom with Travolta.

Opus said: No medical procedure no matter how common is routine. I trust the Princess is recovering but can we trust the powers that be to be truthful?

Such a good question. In this age where people speak about "my truth" which may have no connection with independently verified facts, no. The old Russian proverb of "trust, but verify" is (in my opinion) backwards. Verify, THEN perhaps trust is earned. Perhaps. I'm still going to verify.

Our press is not trustworthy. I have been astounded to read the accounts of meetings where I was a participant (or merely attending as a civic duty) to find that nearly everything reported was incorrect. The local media affiliates have often closed comments about local news because they are corrected by the people that were not paid to report accurately. Heh. It usually starts something like this: "What kind of special idiot gets not just one or two items incorrect, but everything? Oh, and here's a list of the misspelled words!"

Ah, yes, John Travolta, grieving widower of Kelly Preston. He's been in the news lately, IIRC, about his children wanting him to move forward because their mom would not have wanted him to be alone (with his $250,000,000 fortune).

Does anybody think that she would want to dance with John Travolta if he didn't have a huge wallet?

The tea on Lauren Sanchez is hilarious! From a Reddit post, summarizing what Lady C said:

Let’s begin with the Living Legends Awards that Archewell denies Harry paid $30,000 for. Perhaps someone else paid the $30,000? Maybe technically they are speaking the truth? Can you believe it? Harry and Meghan speaking the truth? I have been told behind the scenes stuff. The information that Harry paid for the award was leaked by a committee member. Guess who is on the committee? Guess who is also receiving an award? Guess who is a far more effective operator than Meghan? That’s right. Lauren Sanchez who has shot up in my estimation because it turns out she knows how to fight fire with fire. She is everything Megsy Baby would love to have been and had not quite managed to be. Well, Lauren Sanchez was heard joking that she needed guards around Jeff Bezos because she caught Meghan trying to talk him up twice. According to someone at WME, Meghan floated the idea of recreating the same Victor Edelstein dress that Princess Diana wore when she danced with John Travolta 30 years ago. Evidentially, Megsy Baby thinks she is a really good dancer. She took lessons but still doesn’t know what a curtsy is. Evidentially, Meghan wants to dance with John Travolta after the awards are handed out. You know Meghan considers herself Diana 2.0. Perhaps she will develop an aristocratic tilt up of her nose to disguise the ski slope given to her by a bad plastic surgeon. There are rumblings that Harry is taking over all press for anything pertaining to him, rather than use John Travolta’s perfectly competent press team. There are many inquiries if Harry was ever a pilot based on information that has come to the fore. Oh dear. Oh dear. You know he accepted an award for fighting racism within the Royal Family, then said there was none. So perhaps it makes sense he plans to accept an award for being a legend in aviation when in fact, he has never been a pilot. Harry was a gunner whose “ranking” stopped him from being elevated to a co-pilot. Evidentially, John Travolta was at the Beverly Hills Hotel. When have we heard this before? Hello Gordon Getty! H has made me a target. Can you help me get Diane Feinstein’s senate seat and buy me a $40 million house? I don’t understand why your family is so mean to me. The last thing I care about it titles, money or fame. So, Harry approached John Travolta at the Beverly Hills Hotel. John Travolta is a very kind and decent person who evidently has a heart of gold. John thought it was harmless to give Harry this award to be a legend in aviation and his lifetime. Then the organizers “accidentally” managed to let it slip that Harry was paying for the award. Remember, Archewell denies paying for this award. But can we really believe these announcements that come from California? Remember when Harry said he left this country on a commercial flight from Farnborough Airport? There are no commercial flights at Farnborough. How does that work? I could go on and on with the many occasions the people at Archewell get the wrong end of the stick. The word in California is that Lauren Sanchez let slip that Harry paid for his award. I hear she is not only a capable pilot but capable at snatching the richest man in the world away from his wife. I hear that she and her brother were responsible for having Jeff Bezos’ wife find pictures of his “private member.” This is a classic technique to break up a marriage. Get the wife mad at the husband then be there to comfort the husband. She sure knows how to play her cards better than Megsy Baby. Evidentially, Lauren has ordered that she and Jeff be kept separate from Harry and Meghan. Then we leap to the next chapter in the grimm tales of Meghan and Harry. Apparently the Army has an issue with Harry buying awards for himself. All of this info is courtesy of someone at WME. I will not say if it is a client or employee.

Some key passages:

... But in a hitherto unnoticed statement during the second reading of the bill in the Lords on November 21, 2022, Lord True, lord privy seal and leader of the Lords, said that the royal household had confirmed that in practice only “working members of the royal family will be called on to act as counsellors of state”.

... Those currently listed as eligible to serve as counsellors of state are the Queen, Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice, and the two new additions, Princess Anne and Prince Edward.

The King added a special rule which will mean Anne and Edward will be counsellors for the rest of their lives, unlike Harry, Andrew and Beatrice who will gradually be replaced when Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis come of age.

... Dr Craig Prescott, a constitutional law lecturer at Royal Holloway, University of London, warned that in order for counsellors of state to act for the King, he must first enact letters patent to allow them to do so.

Girl in the Hat - so CDAN said it was eptopic pregnancy (hitting at PofW love of children, wanting a brood of children, but difficulties with past pregnancies) and now a racist and an alcoholic?

1) M - lay off the Chardonnay and get working on will she or wont she be in Suits reboot

2) no doubt PofW is a racist alcoholic because she cant compete in a carpark pap competition with her husband's true love who resides in Montecito

As for the legends of the mile high club - it makes you really want to attend. Lauren in her Mafia wife attire (girlfriend why dont you just show up naked by now - not a good look) steering her plus one away from the carparkle queen. M in an off the shoulder dress luring Mr Travolta onto the dance floor in her deep throaty voice - i am the real princess of Wales Netflix or amazon prime - this is the content that we need to see. I hope there are lots of paps there, and a few good plants to report back to us!!!

Prince Harry today admitted defeat in a libel case he brought against the Mail on Sunday – on the day he was due to hand over documents.

The Duke of Sussex abandoned his case just hours before a deadline for his lawyers to pass over a list of relevant documents.

They could have eventually featured in the trial which was over claims he had attempted to mislead the public.

Instead, Harry threw in the towel, with his lawyers informing the High Court at 10am he was 'discontinuing' his case.

He will now face having to pay the newspaper's costs of £250,000 along with his own lawyers' fees – meaning a total legal bill of more than £750,000.

To recap on the Windsor flowers episode, IIRC the commentary beforehand went something like this (or wtte):

BBC Crewman 1 `We’ve just hear that Harry & Meghan have notified the Press they will be doing a walkabout to see the flowers’.

Crewman 2: `Hm – I wonder if anyone’s told the King’?.’

Pregnant pause…

Later:

A Crewman. ` The Prince and Princess of Wales and the D &D of Sussex will be doing a joint walkabout.’

Something was then said that implied that this was His Majesty’s response to the Harkles’ effrontery.

It looked to me as if it was a Royal Command but one less about putting on a united front (as the papers spun it) but more importantly a tactic to neutralise the Harkles. The Royals inspecting the flowers for Diana had political motivation (to help defuse public anger) so too had this event – preventing * making it all about her *. Yes, the Princess of Wales looked unhappy but it was anger with * for instigating the whole business, not about the King’s part in it.

Ooh, ladies, You've beat me to it!

Just think of the costs he'll have to pay! The Court just `loves' litigants who settle at the Court door - putting his costs up even more if he'd done the sensible thing at the right time.

Here is the statement from him about withdrawing from the case against DM.

He is focusing on the judicial review and the safety of his family. (I think this is about forcing the UK to pay for their security, and those two do not move without SUVs and bodyguards.)

He does not want to give a continued platform for the claims in the DM. (The DM has proof of what the wrote.)

Costs still have to be calculated so it is premature to speculate. (Unless DM is very charitable, he has to pay all his own costs plus the DM costs.)

Nope I do not believe him. He was facing the deadline for disclosure, and he has no proof at all to back up his story. In fact, any evidence he has backs up the DM story.

Happy New Year to all of the Nutties!

I haven't been posting partly because of the busy holiday season, but mostly because it seemed to be a superfluous pile on as the Harkles, as Magatha has wittily & frequently reminded us, are really circling the drain in almost every respect. Can things get any worse for them? Surely the cockroach like aspects of *'s character will help her survive.

The health issues of the Princess of Wales and King Charles were very concerning to me, as it seemed as though some malevolent force was attacking two members of the RF who have already been maligned & attacked enough. Best wishes to both the Princes & the King for speedy & safe recoveries!

As I have mentioned in the past, I do find the Harkle court cases fascinating. So Harry has been handed the legal slap in the face that he has been asking for. I don't know that much about British courts or how much deference the RF is accorded by them, but since * got away with perjury in her case against the Daily Mail, I didn't have high hopes for this case. Does it signal a withdrawal of a certain amount of royal protection or deference for the dubious duo? I really have no idea. It's interesting, though.
Sandie quoted the Times article about H's CoS tatus, This refers to `hitherto unnoticed statement' - which I'm certain that both we Nutties and the SMM Sinners had picked up on when it happened.

i’m still of the opinion H was required to put up either a percent of mail’s court cost as a bond or one to his own lawyer. when he realized he doesn’t have the money voila it’s suddenly dropped.

just had a though about the mention of Archie during the coronation i think she wanted the BRF to make a mention so there is proof of child. yeah i’m still holding on there isn’t an archie in their custody. harder to strip for LOC if you acknowledge the child. the mrs really doesn’t want focus on any children. she sees what goes on Prince louis becomes a worldwide meme and boss baby. the Dame of Montecito would not want to share the spotlight

something just occurred to me from reading Neutral Observer's comment:

* was a no show at the award for Legends of Aviation and Haznoballs snuck in through the back door
So baroness Kilkeel did not participate this aviation ridiculousness. She was taking care of their sick child. Who believes that!?

But Harry has a new career. RENT-A-PRINCE if you want to give your feast an extra sparkle and it does not cost you a penny, he is willing to pay YOU 30.000 grand to participate.

This must be very painful for the Royal Family. Harry's lack of any dignity i cringeworthy. Poor King Charles and William.
"Harry was joined Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe a minor German royal and a cousin of outgoing queen of Denmark." What nonsense. That is exactly the sort of riffraff the prince of the United Kingdom nowadays spends his time with. The guy is Mario-Helmut Wagner and has no royal blood in himself at all. He was adopted by an elderly commoner widow with a minor German royal title and he is nothing to anyone in the royal house of Denmark. Daily Fail does not check any information they bring forth.

A Quiet Interlude

Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

As Time Passes and We Get Older

I started thinking about how time passes when reading some of the articles about the birthday.  It was interesting to think about it from the different points of view.  Besides, it kind of fits as a follow up the last post (the whole saga of can the two brothers reunite). So there is the requisite article about how he will be getting all kinds of money willed to him from his great-grandmother.  There were stories about Princess Anne as trustee (and not allowing earliest access to it all).  Whether or not any or all of this is true (there was money for him and/or other kids) has been debated with claims she actually died owing money with the Queen paying the debts to avoid scandal.  Don't know but I seem to remember that royal estates are shrouded from the public so we may not (ever) know. However, strange things like assisting in a book after repeated denials have popped up in legal papers so nothing is ever really predicable.   We are also seein...

The Opening Act of New Adventures in Retail

I keep thinking things will settle down to the lazy days of spring where the weather is gorgeous and there is a certain sense of peacefulness.  New flowers are coming out. increasing daylight so people can be outside/play and thinking gardening thoughts.  And life is quiet.  Calm. And then something happens like a comet shooting across the sky.  (Out of nowhere it arrives and then leaves almost as quickly.)   An update to a law suit.  Video of the website is released (but doesn't actually promote any specific product which can be purchased from the website).  A delay and then jam is given out (but to whom and possible more importantly - who did not make the list?).  Trophies almost fall (oops).  Information slips out like when the official date of beginning USA residency.  (now, isn't that interesting?) With them, it's always something in play or simmering just below the surface.  The diversity of the endeavors is really ...
