The Prince of Wales has tested positive for coronavirus and is working from home with mild symptoms.
A Clarence House spokesman said he was "displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual".
Prince Charles, 71, and the Duchess of Cornwall, 72, are now self-isolating at their home in Scotland.
The Duchess has also been tested for the virus but did not have it, the spokesman said.

I can't help but think Ellen D. had something to do with this "job". Harry brings up voiceovers at the Lion King premiere in July to Disney boss Bob Iger. Ellen and Portia supposedly visit the Harkles at Frogmore in August and on Ellen's first taped show of the season in Sept, she mentions visiting the Harkles and because of her and Harry's shared interest in animal conservation, they are going to work on "something" and specifically mentions her elephant charity work.
Obviously the elephant filming had been going on a while if they were following an elephant family for several months/year. Reports are that Meghan voiced this in the fall, so this is not some project they threw together from July to "fall". So, was this show originally going to be voiced by Ellen (remember Dory?) and then she (or Iger) decided to let Meghan do it? Perhaps they anticipated the Royal connection would be a great global selling point. Then it all fell apart when the Harkles decided Disney was their next cash cow, badly dissed the BRF and threw themselves off the Royal wagon only to end in a splat on the yellow carpet?
I am glad we are thinking alike. I was fighting my petty side typing. What I wanted to say was something similar to "whatever this awful person does is awful, dreadful and deserves to fail". But this makes me akin to her most crazy followers, ignorant and bitter to the extreme, refusing to see a fair picture.
Just like you, I believe a good project should succeed.
And you correctly pointed that a deserved success and recognition of truly good work can make her softer. We can dream.

I predict they will rarely return to Canada, making occasional trips only for appearance sake and to try to give the appearance of maintaing some sort of attachment to the royal family.
But it will only be their “Plan B” in case the money doesn’t come rolling in or Meghan blows through anything they make so fast that they get into deep debt and need the Bank of Charles to bail them out.
Disney is supposedly releasing a program about elephants she narrated next week, so their obligation to give her sone voiceover work has been fulfilled. Doubt she made millions from some voiceover work.

Don't we all know how exactly she got this voiceover with Disney? The whole world witnessed Harry to extract it from the Disney chap under verbal torture in the corner. The looks on people's faces were priceless.

@Sandie: It makes no sense to me either to move from an island in Canada to one of the states with the highest number of cases of COVID-19 in the US. It’s medical resources are currently stretched to nearly being overwhelmed.

@Henrietta, re Suits and her role in it, I loved that show and its characters but not her. I couldn't see what Mike saw in her as there was no warmth, no kindness, but aggression, tantrums and whining. The same expression all the time (the one used on the documentary when she said, "No one has asked how I am" or whatever it was). I thought it was bad casting actually as Mike seemed so level-headed and sensitive. IMO this "not going back to Hollywood" tack is because she has been rebuffed, not because she wants another purpose in life.

* The owner of the mansion in Canada, where they have been squatting, gave them notice to move on and the agreement was that they would do so after the 'farewell tour'.
* Last year, some celebrity in the USA offered them a mansion they own in LA, to stay for a while. The Harkles are now calling in that offer. Although the celebrity may even be regretting that offer now, Meghan knows how to hustle so she has made sure she gets that f freebie.
* They have moved in with Doria.
* They have bought property in LA and have moved into their new home.
* Meghan has a huge movie deal/Harry has made a huge sponsorship deal and part of the payment package is accommodation in an LA mansion.
They took a private flight to the Los Angeles area before the borders between Canada and the US were shut.
Meghan's goal was always to live in LA. She had to move quickly as borders were going to be shut for who knows how long.
She has gone back to her hometown (where she never had success) with a prince on her arm and a title and an inheritance to dip into for all her baubles and designer clothes and is now probably dreaming of hanging out in all the cool places with all the cool people and being the most famous person in the room ... but coronavirus means they are on lock-down for who knows how long.

As I sympathize with Hikari re my inability to get up off my duff and start cleaning, now that I have all the time in the world, I think we will see MM popup with some sort of coordinated online event with her new Hollywood friends within the next week--Ellen, Oprah, Jen?, Margot? Jennifer? Tom! to talk about elephants or all the dogs people have adopted and how they are saving the world for themselves.

Then the dog social worker goes back to the shelter, and adds your request to foster an animal to the pile, and to be addressed in a group meeting.

As is evident in Canada as the number of Covid cases continues on a steep curve, the system of voluntary quarantine has not worked because too many people were not respecting the request to self isolate.

Those stories of Meg forbidding JH to meet his family could be to throw us off the trail that he is still in the U.K. I think it makes more sense for Harry to be in the U.K. Given the advanced ages of his grandparents and parents, I don’t know how we would have left the U.K. after the Commonwealth Service. He may have abandoned his family but COVID is a calamity and I think the courtiers would have wanted him around.

As I suspected, the headlines saying that the Smirkles had to leave Canada for LA "before the border closed" were incorrect. The Canadian border is not closed to exit and, as you say, the US border was still open to US citizens and their families.

Also, the bland Sussex "clapping emoji" response to the NHS celebration is the strongest evidence yet that they are not all in one place, and a significant suggestion that there is no Archie.
With all three Cambridge kids out clapping for the NHS, having the seventh-in-line to the throne appear is a no-brainer. Either Meg has signed some kind of exclusive deal for Archie photos (doubtful, who would care by this point?), Archie is not in their custody, or there is no Archie.
Also, if Meg and Harry were together, wouldn't they have been pictured clapping too? Support for the NHS is something both "woke" and non-woke British citizens can get behind.
