Open Post: Meg's Christmas Card

Hello from vacation, where I've just noticed the Sussexes truly dreadful Christmas card as profiled in the New York Post.

My immediate guess was that Meg used Photoshop's dry brush filter to hide any traces of photo manipulation and, perhaps, the insertion of a substitute Archie.

What a mess. What was she thinking?

And how does it help the Sussexes build their brand?

They're supposed to be multi-million-dollar Netflix producers and Spotify podcasters, yet they're releasing something that looks like the very best product of a night school art class at a provincial community college.

All the bases

"The original photo of the family was taken at their home earlier this month by the Duchess's mother," according to a statement by Archewell.

Not that Doria has ever been known as being a keen photographer before, particularly when it comes to what was clearly a posed shot. (All three family members plus two dogs in the same frame, all smiling? This must of been one out of at least a hundred posed shots.)

The statement continues: "The small Christmas tree, including the homemade ornaments and other decorations, were selected by Archie, and the tree will be replanted after the holidays."

We're covering all the bases here, aren't we?

"Homemade ornaments" for the instagram influencer points, and the replanted tree for environmental street cred. Plus a guest appearance by the mysterious Doria.

Charitable contributions

The card was released through Meghan's dog patronage Mayhew - the one she visited during her pregnancy, a visit best remembered for her ability to squat down in stiletto heels and spring up again lightly despite being quite far along in her pregnancy.

The shot of them disembarking with Archie from a jet in France was definitely a pap setup. They were merching the plane. That is how the pap found them.

Elton (and Narchos the polo guy) only use that particular PJ company and yet claim ownership. The PJ company gives 'shares' in the company which is how these celebs claim ownership.

Let's also not rule out a very public snubbing of The Queen's annual Balmoral holiday at which her family is summoned, but the Sussexes chose to be papped visibly going to France instead of Scotland. A two figured salute to Harry's family who probably had alot to say to them over their behaviour by that point.

With regards Archie's passport, it doesn't matter how or where he was born or even whether that papped photo was indeed a doll. If they have a live child that they are taking across borders, he needs a passport of his own as soon as he is allowed to fly.

On the assumption that Archie has been with them since birth or soon afterwards, any international travel with him required a passport from Ibiza to LA.

Leaving him behind in Canada was part of their Megxit ( hardball negotiation) move. It demonstrates that they lied in FF that their brief return to UK from Canada was supposed to be reconciliation/ negotiation of sorts and they were prepared to settle back down in UK should their demands have been met (paraphrasing FF description of this episode).

Leaving Archie behind was a clear move that they, at the very least Meghan, were heading straight back to Canada. A way to make sure they couldn't change their minds. And use him as a bargaining chip if necessary.

As we know, it failed and here we are.

Re Doria.

I just came across this blog, The Story of Doria pts 1 and 2. Not sure how legit it is, but interesting...https://newsroyals.com/the-story-of-doria-ragland-part-2/

If true, one can see where Madam learned how to grift, and why Doria was away for awhile.

@yankeeDoodle

Many rumours abound about Doria. To me the one that made the most sense was that she grew tired of the demands of motherhood and dropped Grip off with her father. He tried to hide the lottery winnings and was said to have told friends he wanted to keep it away from Doria (like mother like daughter I guess).

It was also said Doria ran a travel agency, poorly. She tried to throw Thomas under the bus but he was vindicated. She allegedly went to prison for several years for embezzlement.

She also managed to gain sole ownership of her father's house despite it being willed to her and a half brother. The half brother doesn't remember quit claiming his half of the house to her (how could one forget ~£400.000?) and the notary who witnessed his signature lived a good distance away from Doria and died before anyone could check. Nothing fishy there......

By all accounts Grip wasn't that close to either parent unless she needed money (Daddy) or black street cred (Mommy).

Do I know if any of this is true? No.

But I do know that with enough money and power one can "scrub" the internet and petition (successfully) to have court documents sealed or expunged.

Doria is the true winner, by far, in this whole mess. I suspect she knows it.

Oh, its rumoured that when Grip was a child, Doria liked weed. A lot , according to neighbors.

All this is just speculation, allegedly, and etc.

I hadn't seen that write-up about Doria before. Interesting, thank you. @Musty, I'd love to hear the truth about Doria. She is sketchy as all get-out, and I have a feeling her daughter takes right after her. I hope everything about the both of them comes to light some day. The ultimate grifters.

I find the whole SHAMS affairs very curious. And where in the world was Doria? If Doria was just a regular American citizen, she and her daughter would have no problems in telling the world what she, Doria, was doing. But nooooo. Doria is no longer a private citizen. She has attached her wagon to meghan’s Star. Doria has been in jail, a travel agent, owner of a healthcare company, in jail, a yoga teacher, social worker, in jail. She is a high school dropout, and possssing of a Masters degree in Mental health.

Why are we on this blog the only people who research, ask questions, and wonder WTH is going on with the British Royal Family? And why should Americans care?

Americans care since the British, followed by Canada, France and Israel, are our greatest partners. We and the Brits share common language, common names, common heritage. Americans depend upon Great Britain. However, the British have very poor terrorism and police, in Scotland Yard.

I read that Doria allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a teacher when she was younger and told people later that she wanted to take advantage of men and con them. She was also a member of a commune. She supposedly got her hooks into Thomas because he made a good living but she would have preferred an actor rather than "crew".

Yankee Wally did a lot of research on her, and that's all I remember from one of her videos.

The Daily Mail, if I remember correctly, had one or two articles about how Doria cheated her entire family, suing and slamming them until her folks could no longer mentally, and monetarily, deal with Doria in court. Thus Doria inherited the family house, and everything else connected to it.

I was appalled by this snake. Who does what Doria did to her entire family?

I am giving snakes a bad name. Most snakes are shy, and crucial to our environment. Doria is neither crucial or caring. She taught M everything. Remember when Doria and Meghan got out of the limo, walking quickly together to the now-outed sham charity for the tens of thousands of illegal people in the burning apartment? And Pathetic, Loser Harry, was following the two moochers by more than ten steps? Sick, sick, sick.

Doria is behind it all.

@YankeeDoodle

I don't k now if we are the only ones or not. Everyone loves a good love story and this one was made to fit that. Also I don't thin anyone really wants to point out Drip is, apparently, lower IQ than average.

@GirlwithaHat

I don't know the Yankee Wally videos but I do remember stories swirling around the internet preceding. Doria was only a mental health councilor for two or three years. It was later in life. Some say Grip paid for it and some say the state of California paid for her master's as part of criminal rehabilitation thing. Who knows? But what we do know is Doria made very little money as mental health councilor (state job) and wasn't in the profession long enough to practice without supervision. or something like that.

Yoga instructors don't make much money either. Maybe she charged her "roommate" rent and that covered property taxes and utilities for the house.

Whatever, I'd like to know why she and investigating her is strictly off limits. Must be some embarrassing stuff there.

Actually hoping Samantha's book does come out with some details. It would appear she is no longer hesitant (?). Maybe the protection of the BRF is gone? Doesn't matter, Grip will sue even if everything written is proven true.

Doria was the only member of M’s family to show up to the circus wedding. Where were her siblings, nieces and nephews? Why do you think they were not invited to the mixed -race M’s wedding to Prince Duncealot? No white Markle family, but why not M’s black family? Because she and her mother are drifters, using and taking anything they can get their hands on? And Doria looking tearful at the wedding - Meghan bragged that her mother taught her how to cry upon demand. And where was Doria’s female partner?

There are no secrets anymore. You and your background, anything, can be wiped from the WEB. But that is a joke and lie. Once you are out in the web, out in whatever, you are there forever. Just like I told my kids when they were young, and before applying for college - everything you write on your computer is open, free, and will be held fior or against you. Shut up your comments. Write about daffodils, or your new nuclear reactor. Do not say anything that could be controversial. Even saying you prefer Wisconsin football against Michigan will lose you a college placement or two.

Doria cheated her family.

What were they afraid of?

@MustySyphone: Read A Very Royal Narcissist - 8 on narcsite.com, which discusses why Meghan left Archie in Canada.

Basically, Archie means nothing to her emotionally. As H.G. Tudor says, he is an object to put on the shelf while she was away. Leaving him on Canada was also a control move by Meghan over the Quern’s desire to see Archie. Withholding Archie was using him as a weapon.
Another reason to leave Archie in Canada was to hold access to Archie over Harry’s head to make Harry return to Canada. Meghan wanted insurance that Harry would return in case his family and friends had any influence over him while he was alone in the UK without Meghan. Archie is a pawn and a prop for Meghan and nothing more.

ALL people, including children, are objects to be used by a narcissist like Meghan. This includes Archie, and other children she manages to acquire. Harry is useful for now, but he has likely been in the devaluation stage since shortly after the wedding.

I recommend reading all 15 of the A Very Royal Narcissist and the A Not So Royal Narcissists (the title changed for the posts following Megxit) commentaries on narcsite.com. H.G. Tudor, the author, makes these posts on an irregular basis. The last post was in May 2020 for Archie’s birthday. He has promised future posts, but says he is busy with other projects right now.

He has Meghan sussed to the nth degree.

Yes, always thought it weird that not one Ragland relative was invited to the wedding. By all accounts they were on good terms. Something tickling the back of my mind is a Ragland relative (male) saying something like (and I only heard it once) that some men came and bought all the photo albums (paid them) with Grip in them.

Someone pointed out that its very odd that Grip has no (apparent) friends from more than 5 years ago with the exception of JM, Lindsay Roth (sorority sister, father very successful and wealthy lawyer) and that other sorority sister that baby sat Grip at Wimbledon. So JM and two babysitters.

I still have a friend from six years old. And I was six years old a verrrryyy long time ago. Maybe this is unusual?

I’m not sure Archie needs his very own passport. We traveled when my son was a toddler and we had a choice of adding him to my or his father’s passport OR getting him his own passport. We got him his very own. The US law may have changed since then. Our trip was before Sept 11; passport rules tightened up at lot after Sept. 11. I’m not familiar with English law regarding passports.

I hope you all have a very Happy New Year.

Yes, I saw his engagement interview, when his face changed when he said nobody really knows him, the real Harry. He looked like a goblin. Then in South Africa, and M was bouncing a baby around, and the baby touched H, and for a fraction of a second I saw Just H and his hate directed at a baby. Chilling.

On Doria: I agree with LSA and some other boards that Doria should be pretty much off-limits. We have no proof that I have ever seen that she has done anything illegal, much less served time in jail. She is hardly ever seen. MM uses Doria’s name, but it is probably all lies. My guess is that MM might pay her to show up when MM wants or wants to “use” her name, and Doria wants the $$ so she goes along. I think MM is fair game because of her public behavior. Doria stays away from the press and I think we should be careful of her unless we have receipts. Maybe she is really sad and disappointed at the way her daughter has turned out. We just don’t know what she thinks or does.

Why should Doria be off-limits when Thomas isn't?

IS IT BECAUSE SHE'S BLACK?

Anyone who thinks this strangely behaved, mysterious woman has nothing to hide, is a very simple mind.
How topical this is right now in the world: if you have nothing to hide, why hide everything?

The simple fact that the public is not allowed to know where Doria was during MM's teenage years, is a big, fat elephant in a phone booth. How hard is it to say 'hey conspiracy idiots! This is where I lived and this is where I worked during those 7 years! Now feg off and leave me alone'.

Instead there's this very heavy, very forced silence, like a dark cloud following her around. Very strange. And very very suspicious.

An honest person (topical, again), would INVITE an honest look into questions, because they would THEMSELVES, be appalled at being called a liar, cheater, schemer or criminal.

A dishonest person, the liar, the cheater, the schemer and criminal, would silence everyone around them, and try to sweep everything under the carpet as quickly as possible.

The more people try to hide certain things, and the less questions they are prepared to answer, the more suspicious they look.

from the Spectator Uk:

Harry and Meghan’s podcast of platitudes
30 December 2020, 4:26pm

Why is there not a single trans voice featured in Harry and Meghan’s first podcast? It’s a question that needs answering. The half-hour recording – the couple’s first since signing a $25 million deal with Spotify – sets out to explore the psychological impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on, as the Duchess herself puts it, ‘people from all walks of life’. Given this description, excluding the trans community from participating seems, at best, problematic – perhaps even sinister. Why leave trans people out in this most public of discourses?

This editorial decision – a slap in the face for an already marginalised community – seems all the more surprising because of who has made it. While the rest of us have spent 2020 hunkering down and cursing the gods, Harry and Meghan have made no bones about aggressively pursuing woke dollar. They have unblinkingly positioned themselves as the millennial king and queen of political correctness, frequently releasing videos in which they rail vaguely against ‘privilege’. Memorably, Harry used one of these videos to say the British Commonwealth, the institution for which his grandmother is the living embodiment, needs to ‘acknowledge the past’ even if it is ‘uncomfortable’.

Anyway, the podcast deal – announced very shortly after the $100 million Netflix deal – is the latest escalation in this campaign: a kind of high stakes meta psychodrama in which these two pushy ex royals ride the Windsor family brand as far as they can stateside, at the same time apparently subverting the journalistic media they claim to loathe by lucratively becoming part of it. The company they have formed for this purpose, Archewell, has described the podcasts it will henceforth expensively produce as being to ‘build a community through shared experiences, narratives and values’.

These two pushy ex royals ride the Windsor family brand as far as they can stateside
The first podcast, trans people ostracisation aside, is everything you’d expect. It begins with the regal thanking of healthcare and frontline workers (as if the sacrifices these people have made have been made for the duke and duchess themselves). Meghan then rather grandly explains that she has spent the holiday season, not, as you might expect, counting her money, but contemplating all people who have experienced ‘uncertainty and unthinkable loss’ as a result of Covid-19.

After that, there is just time for Harry to urge listeners to ‘sit back and grab a cosy beverage’, before the platitudes begin rolling in, in earnest. Various guests – mostly liberal celebrity friends of the couple – start by unselfconsciously describing themselves (‘philanthropist’, ‘poet’, ‘an explorer of consciousness’ etc.) before, against a deeply irritating Disney-style soundtrack intended to guide the listener’s emotional response, delivering statements such as: ‘humanity is ready for a new story. Through new context, new meanings, new relationships, we are giving birth to a new humanity.’

At one point a woman who is described as a person who ‘brings healing to communities of colour’ tells us ‘something I have learned about myself this year is how much of a spiritual practice simplicity and solitude can be.’ Another – described as a ‘democracy advocate’ – tells us: ‘most of all, I gave myself permission to be sad, so I could find joy on the other side.’

end of part I
Superfly said…
part II

Throughout, it’s this type of fare, precisely the sort of thing one suspects that people who have to worry about such base concerns as working to put food on the table, tend not to say to one another. Surprisingly, no one quotes Maya Angelou until the eighteenth minute, but when it comes it’s a zinger: ‘my wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are and to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness.’ (You go, Meghan.)

Amazingly, and revealingly, of all the contributors, it is Elton John who sounds most sane and connected to reality. He speaks frankly about the nightmare of alcoholics being unable to attend AA meetings during lockdown and the manner in which normal people have had to deal with losing loved ones and jobs. ‘It’s been the worst year I’ve ever known, and I’m 73,’ he says.

And then we’re back to meaningless platitudes. ‘Without the dark, the stars cannot shine’, someone says. A self-described street poet tells us: ‘2020, that’s a very hard year for me to call my friend. And then Meghan begins to bring proceedings to a close by informing the listener: ‘no matter what life throws at you, trust us when we say: love wins’. Harry agrees. ‘Love always wins’, he says, supportively. ‘So true,’ Meghan adds.

Perhaps there is a demographic that finds this kind of thing not only edifying, but enlightening. If there is, my suspicion is these people value style above substance: they prefer the manner in which things are said – in a smoky, croaky, faux intellectual voice, perhaps – than the content of what is being said. Certainly, Meghan is very pleased with her voice. She seems lately to have obviously styled her intonations on those of Barack Obama himself, the great liberal deity with the quadrophonic voice. If this podcast venture doesn’t work out, she’s certainly got a future in the ASMR game.

Ultimately, the podcast is a bit of a cheat – the contributions by Meghan and Harry are mercifully minimal. Instead, they use the old trick of all journalists paid by the word for interview pieces: they just provide short links to the words of others. But we will find out more about them as people, presumably, in subsequent episodes, when they will have to sing rather harder for their supper by filling the airtime themselves. Then we’ll really discover the scale of their ambition for world domination, and also, perhaps, the reason for their strange erasing of trans people from the Covid record.

Best New Year wishes to everyone. I am not celebrating or marking 2021 in any special way, but am aware of the date and the symbolic importance of a 'new' year. Personally, I think coronavirus will not disappear but we will contain it; economies will bounce back quickly; most ties forged, hearts changed, lessons learned during the pandemic will endure, and we will find enduring ways to remember and honour those we lost ...

As for the Harkles ... nope, they will keep repeating the same stuff (nonsense PR, relentless self promotion, empty word salad speechifying and so on) and pretty much will not make a genuine lasting success of anything, despite their huge operation they have built to sell the opposite story. I must admit to being unkind and nasty in hoping for some really big exposures for the hustler Meghan and a big wake up call for the lost prince, but the Harkles talk a lot and deliver little so realistically it is unlikely!
SwampWoman said…
Happy New Year back at you, Sandie! Have you heard anything about how serious of a public health threat that new African COVID variant is?
Sandie said…
Off topic warning!

@SwampWoman

Hi! Hope you are keeping safe and warm (gloriously hot and sunny here, just as I like it!).

Similar to the new variant in the UK, the variant spreading in South Africa is far more infectious, and it is also affecting younger people with no comorbidities at all. Lockdown has been tightened up ... beaches closed, curfew extended, masks mandatory, alcohol sales banned, and public gatherings restricted in numbers. Closing beaches and the affect of the ban of alcohol and curfew on the restaurant business is economically decimating tourism at peak season time, but otherwise all economic and educational activity has not been shut down. The general advice is wear your mask, sanitise often, practise social distancing, open windows, get outdoors into the sunshine and fresh air if you can.
Sandie said…
Addendum

Outside of South Africa, there is no news yet of the new variant of the virus spreading in Africa, but it must be as most visitors to South Africa are other Africans. Africa is huge and outside the cities, population density is low so the spread is not so vigorous and is easily contained. Even in South Africa, it is the 4 out of 9 provinces that do have big cities and high population density and mobility that are taking the brunt of this second wave. Even in the most affected provinces there are regions (such as the Central Karoo in the Western Cape) that are huge but so sparsely populated that they have had only a handful of infections in the first and this second wave.

Combined, the first and second waves have, as of today, infected about 16.6% of the population in South Africa ... not enough for herd immunity yet, but how many more people must die, and can we achieve herd immunity for a virus that creates a significant variant in about 6 months?

Back to 'sort of regular' programming ...

Craig Hamilton-Parker, a psychic who is very credible, predicted a second child for the Harkles in 2020, and now again for 2021. He wasn't completely wrong for 2020, but, as I call it, misinterpreted the message. (His wife did not pick up on a child for 2020 but does for 2021.) So, if he has picked up genuine information for 2021, interpretations could be:

* Pregnancy and childbirth. Harry's child.

* Pregnancy and childbirth. Not Harry' s child.

* Pregnancy and miscarriage.

* Pregnancy and childbirth via surrogacy.

* Adoption.

* What the heck have Craig and his wife been smoking?!

The highly accurate intuitive tarot reader QueenTT still does not see another child for Meghan and Harry but does see a daughter for Meghan with another man. But, Harry is not the man he was when he met Meghan and is now even losing his accent, so maybe her information is also accurate!

And there was the girl wrangler who set a young Megs up to work at a California PGA golf charity event years ago, who mentioned on camera that she knew Megs as lovely young woman who already had a child at that time....

I hope Sam’s book, if it really exists, covers this ground too.

“I AM MY MOTHER’S SON.”

These ^^^^ are the first words on the new Harkle website, in his sickness-inducing letter of intent for 2021.

******See the DM for it.*******

I guess this means just as M is no longer her father’s daughter now that she hit the cash jackpot, he is not his father’s son. So, I think Charles should feel free to cut off the financial support and security and communication immediately. As in, today.

What a vile little snake’s ass Harry truly is. A relentless liar and poser and grifter just like his trashy wife. Selling his son for money, Selling his mum to Goldman Sachs strangers at a cocktails dinner, hiring photogs for cemetery shoots and pics showing him standing uselessly at food drives, selling his family info to Netflix...and doubling down on his whining fake tears grift for 2021.

Just sod off now, H. You are officially mince meat. And rest assured, you pampered useless twit, your Karma is coming.

Warning ... Rant below!

Maybe I need to let it all out after a year that should have been a great one for me but was the opposite, so here goes ...

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9102467/Prince-Harry-Meghan-Markle-vow-unleash-power-compassion-new-website.html

I am not going to give them 'clicks' for their website, but luckily I don't need to as the media has got it covered.

How dare they?!

Charles was his only parent since he was 11, out of necessity, and was present for the years that his mother was alive, but Harry is now airbrushing him out of his life? Who does he have to thank for his position, his wealth, his financial and practical support, his privileges? That would be his father. As for love, there was plenty of that from his immediate and extended family and it was Harry who chose to trash them and everything they stand for. How dare he be a part of what has been done on this disgraceful website.

Meghan has always been a smug, self-serving and ungrateful cow. It was her father that was there for her from the age of about 11 (I checked and I just can't find photographs of her with Doria for those missing years, and, the before and after Doria look different, not as in a different person, but different look.) As we all know, she dumped all her family except Doria, plus a husband and at least one long-standing loyal friend. It was her father who gave her all the opportunities and privileges she had growing up, plus heaps of unconditional love.

The British public paid millions, yep millions in about 18 months or less, for a lavish wedding and reception, security, staff and all the costs involved, and a whole lot of very expensive designer clothes that she wore once and will never wear again. How dare she talk about community!

Rant not over but need to give those foolhardy enough not to scroll on by a break!

@Sandie: Thanks for the on-the-spot information. I had heard (not officially, but through the rumor mills of people that wear boots and camouflage) that it was affecting the younger people this time.

Are all ethnicities affected, or does it seem to preferentially attack certain people? I'm curious. I just ask because my nasty suspicious mind wonders, because there is a Chinese presence and investment in Africa, whether they have anything to do with it either through deliberate or inadvertent spread. I've heard that some factories in China appear to be shutting down waaaay early for Chinese New Year. Could be that there are a lot of people getting infected there, too. (Could also be that they're preparing to hit Taiwan.)

Regardless, it seems that now would be a real good time to top off supplies on things you might be low on.

Puds - i was just reading about the new site on FB - Harry Markled page. Chris Ship also has a tweet about it.

Compassion in Action - seriously? Like M is so compassionate towards her father and family. I cannot imagine their reaction when they see these things. Of course H using a photo of Diana with it. It's the only way people know who he is. (remember me? I'm poor Harry)

Scobie also has a post stating they announced partnerships with @humanetech which is apparently affiliated with UCLA

And I quote from their Letter for 2021

"I am my mother's son.
And I am our Son's mother.
Together we bring you Archewell.

We believe in the best of humanity.
Because we have seen the best of humanity.
We have experienced compassion and kindness,
from our mothers and strangers alike.

In the face of fear, struggle and pain,
it can be easy to lose sight of this.
Togehter, we can choose courage, healing and connection.
Together, we can choose to put compassion in action.

We invite you to join us.
As we work to build a better world,
One act of compassion at a time."

I have not explored the website yet. Maybe, eventually.

I share your anger and indignation. Obviously, the 'power of compassion' does not extend to their respective families. "One act of compassion at a time'", Megsy? What about phoning your father, for a start? Apparently, Stanford university has a 'Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education' (don't ask). More meaningless drivel.

Monetizing your mother’s corpse is just about the most disgusting and despicable thing I have seen in my 63 years. Especially by someone who is the poster child for white boy privilege and wealth who has never accomplished a damn thing in his time on his earth. Not even his O levels. Never mind his own, supposed child. I hope she devalues the living shite out of him and leaves him broken and broke. It is no less than what he deserves.

I copied the above from another social media site.

Grandiose, pretentious, delusional, arrogant and completely mad!

Copyright: I came across commentary about copyright for the website belonging only to Meghan and speculation about that. Nope, that copyright notice is for the photos. Meghan has claimed copyright for every photograph of herself that she can lay hands on and is probably seething (and plotting how she can sue everyone) about all the photos out there that she does not have ownership of at all, especially the ones her father has.

...”their mothers and strangers alike”?!?!!

I hope William has completed terse, powerful phone calls to Charles and the Queen, and made their teacake-soft souls tremble with shock, fear and admiration, while remaining holiday courtiers silently applaud. I hope William said, “i am taking this Harkle debacle over from here, so avert your eyes, cover your ears, and my people will be by to collect your chequebooks — this firm will no longer be held by the short hairs by two mentally ill people. Prepare for a volcano and an oil spill, Pa. Pour a double if you need it, Gram. Big Bill’s in town.”

And now for Prince Charles to hear that he did nothing worthwhile for his son. His son, whose wealth and enormous white privilege derive solely from who and what PC is.

How heartbreaking for both dads.

If I was PC, support for those two would end today. Nada, zip, zilch. Bank of Dad closed your account.

Hello all on this New Years Eve!

New Year- hopefully New Happy Times! One can be forever hopeful right?

War of the Whales

The ratings are in
Megs is now blubbering
They’ve been eaten by lovers of krill
Despite Archie’s voice
The whales can rejoice
They’re above the bottomless schill

Just wanted to repeat this thing of utter hilarity!! "They've been eaten by lovers of krill"

Commenting on Doria and Thomas- Meghan was truly born into the perfect storm for her narcissism, wasn't she? I think she got many of her narc qualities organically through her mother. I am not here to criticize Doria. I am just purely going on what is seen, which is very little, and what I feel. I think both Doria and Thomas ADORED Meghan. Of course we all love our children, but we know those parents who have a fascination with their child. They literally feel perfection from the child. Doria however, seems to have a floating, 'hippy-ish' personality and probably could not do the day to day care for the child Meghan so it was up to Tom. You sense that every dime, every thought, every care was given to Meghan, building up her narcissism and exploding it.

Doria comes back and is eager to rectify herself with Meghan. That's where some of the ideas of using men for gain, etc are taught. Since Meghan was a pretty little girl, neither 'too black or too white', both Doria and Tom wanted to claim her. Their 'Little Flower'. Now I suspect Doria is literally a prisoner of Meghan. Of manipulation, of guilt and of Meghan's cunning. I often wonder if Harry and Doria are alone, maybe out on one of the huge patios watching Archie play, what they speak about and how they speak to oneanother. I suspect Doria is used greatly for childcare for Archie also. And she dare not say a WORD in protest. Montecito House! A beautiful prison

@Sandie,
Indeed —- how dare they!

Thank you for posting all that for everyone’s benefit.

You know, months ago, a friend pointed out that M seems to like to create relationship-ending brush fires. She could have broken up with Trevor in a considerate way, but did it in an inflammatory way instead. The chef Cory, recipes stolen, cheated on, dumped. Her father, we all saw that one. Siblings, Doria’s entire family, and M’s rumoured daughter Noelle, raised by Samantha. The U.K., the Queen, William and Kate, the Cambridge tots, and the British people — all got Molotov cocktails thrown through their windows. The foundation and Grenfell cookbook projects had their pockets rifled. Tyler Perry had his house used, then dumped with a condescending “not our taste” since probably they stayed with “intention to buy” and mocked Tyler’s home to grab the Russian rental instead. Even her original lawyers...

Invictus got the Meghan fiery dump, though she likely directed H to do it and he did so complacently being a uncaring self-absorbed brat himself, as he had already cold-shouldered Invictus in Australia too. I love that the military general called him out.

It is apparently inevitable that Megs will burn down 97% of her relationships....perhaps she gets perverted glee from this as a malignant narcissist and as a liar who has to cover her trail. And so...this December 31 burn was to be expected. I can hardly wait until she flames out at Netflix and Spotify, doesn’t turn in homework or sues them for lack of support. Her history and his, of enjoying the ugly sport human-trashing, is now public and I think they are going to end 2021 in a miserable broke ball, whimpering about kindness and compassion to an ice wall.

Not brush fires. She goes full scorched earth. Whatever hope of rebuilding, whatever slender threads of connection there were with William, have now been completely severed.

It will be a long time, if ever, before William even thinks about connecting with his brother again. This has to be sad for Catherine, too.

If I was the Queen, this would be the end of the Sussexes. All titles, all support would be gone immediately.

That letter is an enormous and mind boggling slap on the face to Charles and Thomas. I read it here but then read it on DM as it's written. It's staggering in it's hubris.

I am in such a good mood today but that is making me furious. Well, you live by the sword and you perish by it. Their time will come. Little do they realize, you can't start a charity/business and cram it angrily down the public's throats and expect it to succeed.
I have to wonder about the Spencer family. The Earl certainly roasted the Royals during his eulogy at Diana's funeral.
And Harry had both Diana's sisters at the baptism as well as on the birth announcement (which was incredibly odd).

For as much as the Spencers spewed hate towards the BRF for the way the treated Diana (not here to debate one side or the other), I have to wonder how they feel now watching Harry peddle his dead mother for money. Purely for money.

Looking over the lengthy disclaimer the Archewell site is a literal unpaid uncredited “Ideas Submission Form” where she can take credit and edit anything people send to her.

Why does she think people with any substance will do this for her? I know someone else that attempts to run a business this way, no original thoughts or ideas so tries to steal them constantly from the people around them and exploits an influencer. It’s makes some $$$, but is deep in the red and at a point of reckoning.

She’s just proving how dumb she is at business on a world stage. Netflix and Spotify and their teams must be rolling over themselves today. Definitely some fire drills going on.

Shouldn't the background picture feature Archie and Meghan - "I am our son's mother"???

Also, I noticed the picture of Harry is when he is 22 months. Notice the full head of hair. Is this the Harkles way of saying that Archie's size/hair fullness is possible based on Harry's own picture???

I really thought they'd backtrack and say the inclusion of Archie in the podcast was just a spontaneous parent/child moment, but instead they have doubled-down on using him as a marketing tool. Didn't think they could go lower than the cemetery walk, but here they are!

Their Netflix and Spotify deals are performance based. If they cannot bring in the eyeballs and ears then their compensation will be minimal. The billionaires that own and run Netflix and Spotify got this way by giving nothing away to big talkers. You produce or you don't get paid.

The Gruesomes' PR braggadocio about how much their deals are worth, file under fiction. It is not as though Netflix and Spotify are going to run to the media and start sparring with the Gruesomes. Same as the BRF doesn't/
I'm going to go a bit off topic here.

Remember when a few weeks ago we were discussing season 4 of The Crown and whether or not viewers were aware that it was fiction and not a depiction of conversations and events that actually happened? I just finished reading the users' reviews on IMDB and came across this little gem:

"The Crown confirms what we've always suspected - Prince Philip had Princess Diana killed!"

That person must be referring to the final, odious scene where PP goes to Diana's bedroom and, sounding like an underworld thug, threatens her if she ever tries to leave the family. I don't know what percentage of viewers are like this person and think that The Crown is factual, but I suspect, too many.

@SwampWoman

Ethnicity/race has no effect on likelihood of being infected or morbidity. For the first wave, it was people with co-morbidities like diabetes, hypertension, heart conditions, and obesity that were most at risk. For this second wave, healthy people in their 50s and younger with no chronic conditions are showing up at hospitals and clinics gravely ill and are dying. Even socio-economic status did not increase the risk of morbidity for the first wave, but crowded living conditions was a factor in the spread of the virus. Langa may have had a slightly higher rate of infection than Kenilworth (both in Cape Town but the former poor and working class; the latter mostly lower middle class and more wealthy working class so not so crowded) but it did not have a higher death rate.

Yes, there are a lot of Chinese in Africa. Tin foil hat on ... the Chinese are very influential in Africa (hence the Dalai Lama is effectively banned in South Africa) so there is not even a whisper of the virus being introduced to Africa directly from China. As for how Chinese people are being affected ... they tend to be insular so there would be no statistics from the government health system.

The main drivers for this second wave taking fire so quickly seem to be end-of-the year beach and rave parties, and funerals. Middle class and wealthy kids have been out there celebrating the end of the academic year as usual and their parents did nothing to stop them. The public are furious! Funerals are a major and expensive social event in Africa and people gather in crowded tents for them ... perfect conditions for the virus to spread.

South Africa may be the 'poster child' for racism in the world but, other than for economic advantage, it is quite colour blind, as you can see from this official report that does not mention race at all. However, in the Western Cape, black people are not the majority yet that province had and has a very high infection rate and morbidity rate. Gauteng is by far the wealthiest province (but by far the highest population density) and it had the highest infection and morbidity figures. We keep telling the world and no one is listening ... race is not a factor in likelihood of infection and death. The coronavirus is a lot more complicated than that!

They have been filling the tabloids with another narrative, but the truth is they are out and in self-imposed exile from the UK and the Commonwealth. That garbage on their website is them throwing a tantrum.

HRH? They will be told not to use it but can it be taken away? Andrew? Beatrice? Eugenie? Prince and Princess Michael of Kent? They all have HRH, but other than Andrew are not and have not been working royals. Beatrice and Eugenie do not use HRH in their working lives, or even Princess, but they do for their patronages. Like Andrew, the Harkles are a sticky problem but, unlike Andrew, they continue with full-on self-promotion, blatant commercialism and arrogantly claim to be on a quest to change the world. I think most will agree here that the Queen can take away the HRH and has more than enough reason to make a special case for them and do so, but will she? Would Andrew sacrifice his HRH to make it easier for her to do so? Beatrice? Eugenie? Prince and Princess Michael of Kent?

The Queen and PC are in a tough spot, and the Harkles are using that against them. It's been their mo all along. Cause a ruckus, trusting that whoever will be too polite to do anything about it in public, and anything done in private can be ignored.

It's going to take some finesse for the Queen to be rid of these two. Or complete ruthlessness.
@Sandie

There is a rather easy yet painful solution. Follow the lead of the King of Sweden. Simply announce the stream lining and/or down sizing of the monarchy (Charles has wanted this but not on the level I'm suggesting). The King of Sweden simply removed the HRH from everyone not in the direct line. The Swedes (apparently) were fine with this.

Applied to BRF only Charles, William, George would have HRH.

I understand there is great status in having HRH but does it bring any tangible (monetary) benefits? Free security, etc or just the generosity of others to be associated with HRH (as in Andrew)?

you are very wrong when you say that there is no difference among races for Covid. That may be the case in South Africa where the sun shines and people spend a lot of time outdoors, but it's different in the UK and the USA where people of colour do not get enough sunshine and thus their vitamin D levels are less than optimal.

Doctors are now prescribing vitamin D when patients get covid, but it may be too late as the effect probably starts from first contact with the virus.

I'm so sorry that I gave you the assumption that I was asking because of perceived (by me) racism in South Africa. No, no, that was not the case at all. I was asking because the death rates for people with more pigmentation in their skin is *much* higher especially in the states that are above 35N latitude than where I am. My assumption would be that if the increased death rate for pigmented people were higher because of vitamin D deficiencies, that difference should vanish in the equatorial countries. It appears that vitamin D does provide some help in COVID survival.

I would be concerned that it is being introduced deliberately. China desperately needs farmland. They have poisoned much of theirs with industrial chemicals. I suspect there will be no whispers; the people that rule and report would have been paid off.

@SwampWoman,

I think you are quite wrong.

If the Chinese wanted land, they would only have to hop over to Russia that has massive tracts of land that are for the most part, unoccupied, and have the benefit of not having to have to cut down trees and tear out their roots to have to cultivate them.

Africa is a beautiful place, but with its red earth which is not that conducive to agriculture and its forests, not to mention its distance, and native population, not that attractive.

China has bought land in Kenya, but Ukraine has been seen by them as a better investment because of its rich soil.

By vanessa rhinesmith December 31, 2020

The UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry (C2i2) is a recipient of a gift from the Archewell Foundation, which will support research, programs, and convenings focused on the harms vulnerable communities face from internet technologies. C2i2 is an interdisciplinary university research center at the University of California, Los Angeles focused on addressing the role of the internet in undermining democracy, civil and human rights. The Center advocates for more equitable and socially-just internet policies and practices.

In response to the new initiative, C2i2 Co-Director Dr. Safiya U. Noble said, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are deeply committed to using their light to illuminate the problems of inequality and structural racism. We have a shared commitment and sense of urgency in making a more compassionate world, much of which is undermined by internet platforms. I know what they stand for and share in their mission. We look forward to lending our research expertise and networks to our mutual work on the most pressing issues of internet policy and culture that are accelerating racial, gender, and economic inequity.”

Not sure if this link will work for those in the UK, but it offers some ominous paralells between mother and daughter that have borne out since it was written. I obtained the link via the According2Taz twitter acct, there is a part 1 and part 2.

The Farkles have just shown their hand, I hope now William has proof of how they intend to monetize Diana’s memory, he moves swiftly to shut it down. Even just a statement of disagreement would do to make wealthy benefactors think twice. I can’t believe the Spencers are ok with it either, Diana’s legacy has been very tightly controlled up til now.

If someone joined my family and wreaked havoc like MM, I would seek professional advice on how to best deal with that person and I’m sure the Royals have done so, especially W & K with their mental health work. They have frozen her out, distanced themselves, and ignored the Montecito provocations, leaving her to give in to her narc rage and implode. Now all we need is the drip, drip, trickle of her past to start emerging to finish the job. No fingerprints. That is my wish for 2021, please make it happen!

Happy New Year Nutties, I don’t post much but read daily for reassurance and grounding that I am not alone in my sheer disgust and rage that the world we live in could elevate two no-talents to such lofty heights. All the best in 2021.

Happy New Year and a sincere thank you to Nutty and the commenters on this blog!

A year ago I was in an unhappy, abusive marriage with a narc. Thanks to this blog I learned about NPD and realized what I had been going through all this time. I finally split up with him this year- thank you so much to all of you. I don't always comment but I read every day and I love your wit and insights.

Cheers to a better year in 2021!

@Sally1975,
Oh dear Sally, I adore you and love your comments. But today, their website has me on a rant and I am also rather irked by another lockdown holiday, so I am going to let swing here in response to your post about Noelle. Done with love!

* oh ho, nope! I think Noelle looks quite a lot like Meghan. She might look like her bio father too. But I have yet to see any male in the Markle drama who doesn’t look like a dozen men I have seen elsewhere, be it height, nose, or coloring. The idea “it must be baby x because it looks like Mister y” is without merit, in my opinion, because the world is a big place. Before Covid, I was waiting for a delayed connection through Chicago O’Hare Airport and the game I played in my boredom was count the number of Thomas Markles and count the number of Harrys and count the number of Meghans. I factored noses, height, hair, beards, guts, square torsos. I will tell you the world will experience no shortage of their features in the near future, at least in America. Even Charles has that double out there working the crowds and cameras. Pop test: Describe in some detail the physical appearances of M’s three top high school boyfriends. 1-2-3. You can’t? I rest my case.

* Noelle doesn’t look biracial? Um, huh? Neither does milky white Archie, if we suppose him to be real. Neither do my friend’s three children. Megs herself passed as white, even per her famous CV which lists her as Caucasian. There are Hallmark movies to prove it, She has resorted to masses of bronzer and spray tan since she hit the floor, probably literally, with Harry, Lord of Grimace.

* There are a couple of photos out in which young prom era Meg looks surprisingly wide and poofy-bump-gut in the middle, and these party photos have been shown and discussed on tumbler and blogs. Plus, who knows when Megs’ high schol years were, as a few have mentioned the older ages of some of her schoolmates, for example. My tin tiara is a regular accessory for me when it comes to this grifter. I will find the links tomorrow. I am sure other nutties will remember these photos.

* Nope again. Some families can loathe one another with reason, and still not quite share with the public. Or in the case of Samantha and Jr., maybe they are saving this big story for cash, a book, or have been paid for their silence. Or maybe Noelle doesn’t know and they don’t want to hurt or shock her just yet, even though they loathe Megs. My evidence: Sam said M shouldn’t be around children. Why? No elaboration. Thomas Jr sent a whole letter to Harry, which he released to the press, and while it was rife with warnings, there were no details. Just general attempts to wave a flag at the world without getting into the real juice. I say: we know generally what they meant now, having seen a very non-maternal and batshite and hateful M for ourselves. But what else do they know, hmmmm,? and is it possible it involves Noelle? Yes, it is possible. Even feuding relatives can find common ground on which they suddenly look at each other, and clam up (ask any lawyer).

@Ziggy, congratulations on your new freedom from your marriage to a narcissist. It is never an easy thing to realize, experience, process or escape. I think we have all run across them in our relationship histories, be it spouse, friend or family, and it may be this that drew us all into discussion of M and H. We all keep learning more and it is rather healing to do so, because you realize you weren’t crazy and the other party was a gaslighting jerk! At least here we are able to discuss, snark, and even find ways to laugh about it. You will be fine, for sure, and we are all here with you. There is good life with nicer people ahead! NPD is a disorder often considered untreatable, and yet how many, many victims are left gaslighted, spun out, de energized, broken? And — it would align neatly with the Cambridges’ mental health focus too.

Off Topic

The views of Africa expressed here are so ignorant and biased.

Genetically, race is not a factor in the spread of and morbidity for the virus.

In the Northern hemisphere, white people are just as likely to be lacking from sunshine and fresh air as black people. It is bogus that there is a genetic link between race and Vitamin D absorption that is significant or if at all.

As the data in South Africa shows, even socio-economic factors are not a huge determinant for susceptibility for being infected or dying. The virus does spread easier in crowded conditions. Of course it does. So if socio-economic status and cultural factors are linked to crowded conditions and thus viral load, then it is a factor but not an absolute determining factor ... for the first wave anyway.

As for comments about red earth, distance and the 'native population' ... the ignorance and unwarranted racism in that statement is quite astonishing. Is this malicious provocation or hopeless stupidity?

Thanks to all the talented and perceptive and tolerant posters here. Finding Nutty's site and all of you was a great pleasure. Perhaps in the new year this place will be safer for me.

Ziggy...glad you got out. It takes a long time to recover. You'll spot narcissism from miles away now.

I think that's what drew many of us to the mm story. We recognized instantly who she was.

There are others like that. Remember Kate Gosselin? The woman with twins and sextuplets that everyone was gaga over a while back? Same thing there. I recognized her story right away. Took forever, and it was ugly, for her husband to escape.

He was in many ways similar to H. A weak man in some ways, let her think she was she smart one, had mm his own issues with narcissism, but wasn't malignant. It's been interesting watching the similarities play out between the two couples.

@Sandie, no, you're wrong again. Although it's true that white people may not get as much sunshine as they should, they are genetically predisposed to make vitamin D more easily. Also, it's more of a cultural thing for whites to sunbathe.

Vitamin D levels in whites in Northern countries has been measured and is on average, much higher than those of people of African heritage.

I understand your wish to have a equal footing for all people, but that's not always possible. Whites evolved to live in more northern climates.

The most southern point of South Africa is still only at about 35 deg South. New York City and Rome are at about 41 deg North and Rome is considered to be Southern Europe.

Today will be the best day ever..I have a day's leave and I going to spend it with my gorgeous, clever wife, and my beautiful baby daughter..
Quick shower, dressed, fix my hair as best I can..think about padding into the kitchen to feed the dogs, fix breakfast, pick up random choking items from the floor..but NOoo baby comes 1st in this house! I tiptoe across the hall & nudge the door..She's already awake and I marvel at her beauty; tight dark curly hair, hugh brown eyes, flat button nose, and those happy chubby cheeks.smiling at me..I pick her up and start our tickle giggle game..she laughs and laughs as I ask..are you ok, tickle..are you ok? Are u ok? The house resounds with our laughter and love & our OKs....

Thomas...are you ok? ARE YOU OK? I'm not ok...my heart feels like it's shattering into a million pieces..the wedding..my suit..the pictures..my M (thats what I call her now)..her husband..I haven't met him....is he kind???

I'm going to be ok..doc has held those shattered pieces in his hand and pieced them into a heartbeat..I stare at the bleached walls knowing that my caring beautiful daughter and her new husband will be moving heaven and earth to get to me..we will hug, hold each other close, and laugh at my foolishness And i will recover in their warm embrace..

And here I sit..abandoned..maligned..alone. My mistakes for given by God, but not my daughter and her husband. The spotlight shone into this corner; judged and found wanting. No forgiveness warranted.
Will I be ok? No. I am a heartbeat away from having my life, my thoughts and my deeds rewritten to suit another's narrative. I am dependent on the kindness of others to stop this..all the while my heart aches as I wait for love to conquer all except the damned.
With apologies to nuttiness who can actually write.

I think all this week has shown is that Harry is officially as character devoid and moral-less as Meghan.

From exploiting Archie, to using titles, to shilling Diana in an incomplete and offensive way his lack of ethics and morals is on full display.

Their shameless grift of the BRF, media conglomerates, Diana, and now the unassuming public through their submission form and legal disclosure shows just how deranged and disturbed these two are.

I suppose there are a lot of mugs out there ready to be taken advantage of and Markled, and I find the whole thing embarrassingly sad and absurd.

This rival court legacy is going to do immense damage to the Monarchy over time.

Someone needs to remind Megs of this statement from The Tig

THE TIG ARCHIVES│BEAUTY│DRAW YOUR OWN BOX

“Draw your own box. White. Black. Hispanic. Asian/Pacific Islander.

Those were the only four options available for me to check as my ethnicity in my 7th grade English class. Choose one. It was some sort of mandatory census that had to be completed before an exam, and there I was (my curly hair, my freckled face, my pale skin, my mixed race) looking down at these boxes, not wanting to mess up, but not knowing what to do. Not knowing which box I fit in to.

I remember going home that night and telling my dad what happened, recounting how my teacher said to just “choose one” - that despite my being biracial, that I should simply choose one box and be done with it. And in one of those parenting moments that no guidebook could ever prep you for, my dad said words that will stay with me forever: “Draw your own box.”

This is the same man who took apart two Barbie boxed sets (because you could only buy a white Barbie or a black one), and made a custom one to bring home to me - his speciality set included a black Barbie mom, a white Ken doll dad, and two kids - one black and one white. I picture him standing there in Toys R Us, moms glaring at him for taking the toys apart, perhaps and employee saying “excuse me sir, you can’t do that” - as my dad carefully separated the boxed sets to make one that echoed my reality. One that showed me that I should (and could) make my own box.

In celebrating Father’s Day, I think of so many moments with my dad. Our club sandwich & fruit smoothie tradition post my tap & ballet class - classes, which by the way, he religiously took me to on Saturday mornings after working 75+ hours a week as a lighting director. The fishing trips along the Kern River and Big Bear Lake to catch catfish or trout and cook it up for dinner, and the commitment he made to lighting my high school musicals so that they felt as grand as a Broadway show. The blood, sweat and tears this man (who came from so little in a small town of Pennsylvania, where Christmas stockings were filled with oranges, and dinners were potatoes and spam) invested in my future so that I could grow up to have so much.

He helped me turn my bathroom into a darkroom when I was twelve because I wanted to be a photographer - shading my windows in red lighting gels and filling my cabinets with extra jugs of fixer. He put gas in my car when I went from audition trying to make it as an actress. He is the person who believed in this grand dream of mine well before I could even see it as a possibility. He taught me to write thank you notes, to always arrive early, to drink Arnold Palmers, to find my light when I’m on camera…and beyond.

And that, right there, is the point: my dad taught me to find my light. And he taught me to always make my own box.

To my dad - my thoughtful, inspiring, hardworking Daddy - Happy Father’s Day. ‘If I had all the water in the world, I’d give all the water to you…’ (You won’t get that quote, but he will. And for Father’s Day, that’s all that matters).”

Amid the Sussex grandstanding and toddler antics—By whom I do not mean Archie—The genuine royals carry on with firm business in a classy and dignified manner. She is choosing for books for the inaugural winter list. She is an avid reader, and is patron of no less than seven literature-based charities alone. It may be coincidental, but one can’t help thinking of Harrys new spiritual mother In Montecito, Oprah the divine, and wonder if this isn’t a royal finger to her book club schtick.

Happy New Year everyone and thank you for such an entertaining read.

re: Doria - wasn't it revealed somewhere (FF?) that she was receiving an allowance from Charles/BRF? Also she flew over to the UK when Meghan launched the The Hub Grenfell Cookery Book, did she pay for this flight out of her allowance or was it charged as expenses to the Charity? How did she fly, coach, business, first class or has she also got the taste for flying private from her daughter? And if it was charged to the charity, why?

The amount of money handed over to the Charity from the HAMS was paltry for the profits of a 'best seller' so I would be very interested to see what was deduced as expenses (and by whom)

@Girl in the Hat: Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi are 'red earth' countries. They are considered the most fertile places on earth. Local culture is subsistence farming and herding. No famine or lack of food despite man-made disasters like civil war.

The joke is that the land is so fertile in those countries that all you need is to drop a seed on the ground and you'll find a tree the next week without tending the seed at all.

They are also covered in forests just like the Amazon. The climate is completely different from the drier desert climate of other red earth countries like Botswana or Sudan due to geographical location.

Also, Sudan, Ethiopia and parts of Kenya practice scotch earth policy warfare which means they lay the land to waste as an act of war during all these decades of civil war. That is the only reason why they are plagued by famine and their red earth lands appear to be infertile or bad for agriculture. The communities are not stable enough plus they deliberately harm the land.

These are countries unknown for mineral wealth due to a lack of exploration though that is changing and in those countries where recent discoveries have been made, you find the chinese because that is all they are interested in.

The more safari heavy countries of southern Africa are similarly good for agriculture otherwise those safari animals would be on a perennial starvation catastrophe list each year. They are drier due to their climate which is desert like unlike their counterparts nearer the equator with their equitorial climate.

Just because a continent hasn't given itself over to heavy industrialised agriculture doesn't mean it's bad for agriculture or that there is something wrong with it's soil. Climate is completely different across the continent such that those countries in drier conditions prefer a more herding / hunting existence than the countries with wet climates.

That red earth is spectacularly fertile no matter which climate it is in. The people and animals living on it are remarkably robust. Any starvation is due to man-made catastrophes rather than natural disasters. Exception is desert dwellers eg in Namibia and even there the land provides animals for hunting which indicates good agricultural conditions to sustain the hunted animals.

Please don't assume that the disaster PR that comes out of Africa is an indication of what the continent is like. Often it's deliberate manipulation and misinformation designed for a specific purpose to make money for the corrupt NGOs and leaders that goes to the most remote, poorest communities and pretends that is a representation of entire continent.

And yet for past decade, the richest city in the world is in Africa - Luanda, Angola.

It's infuriating for us Africans to read such gross misrepresentation all the time.

I do have access to the Telegraph online with PressReader but couldn't find the article in the DT dated 14 June 2019. However, I googled it and when you click on the link, the article appears for a second so I took a few screenshots (you need to refresh every time). The article says:

... 'it has emerged, after the royal charity invested £232,551 to help them.

The cookbook has sold 130,000 copies worldwide, with the income raised for the Al Manaar mosque made public by coincidence on the second anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire.

The annual financial report for the Royal Foundation, the first complete version since the Duchess of Sussex joined her husband and in-laws as a patron, details the money dedicated to the project, unveiled by Meghan in September 2018.

The royal charity spent £204,031 on refurbishing the kitchen of Al Mannar, the Muslim Cultural Heritage Trust, and a further £58,520 on training and development schemes.'

Happy New Year, Everyone.

May we keep enough food in our cupboards, the right medicine on the shelf, health in our bodies - and love in our hearts.

The richest cities in the world are (based upon GDP):

Based upon the number of billionaires living in the city, New York again comes in first with Hong Kong, Moscow, Beijing, and

@Acquitaine - I don't know when and how this Africa convo started, but I read your comment with interest and I mostly agree, but would also like to add

The reason that many African countries still have famine and starvation, and a 3rd world rating is political corruption.

Since the 60s, TRILLIONS have been poured into African countries. And there's still famine?
There are countries in the world that have deserts growing fruit and vegetables, thanks to irrigation technology, and there are countries that are dry, which border the sea, and have water, thanks to desalination systems.

Political corruption is a money maker.
Poverty and starvation porn being shown in western living rooms makes people feel bad. Families sit at their dinner tables and watch skeletal African children with flies buzzing around them, with sad music playing, and they pick up the phones and donate. It's disgusting, manipulative, obscene and sordid, dehumanising and undignified and should not be happening, because the money never gets to the right places. Instead it ends up on the wrists of African leaders, who wear $2 million watches and sit on golden toilets.

Botswana and Zimbabwe prove it:

1. Zimbabwe - used to be called 'the breadbasket of Africa' because of huge agricultural success. Now? They have farking famine! White farmers were the problem. Why where they the problem? Because they're white.

They owned most farms, had for generations. They also employed Black people, because these were huge farms, some had thousands of employees. Everybody did well, because the production was so huge, and they needed to export crops because of how much they produced. Black businessmen arose, exporting, etc. A Black middle class emerged thanks to all this wealth, because Black families needed schools, shops, restaurants, houses. So they had to bring in Black builders, restauranteurs, teachers, doctors, etc.... Money generates money.
But still, these bloody farmers were white. So let's kill half of them, drive the other half of them away, fleeing in the middle of the night, leaving their land and homes behind, and let's take these farms for ourselves, said Mugabe and every African dictator like him. But we don't know how to run a farm, we also don't want to run a farm - or work. We rather sit on our arses and have foreign governments send us money through starvation porn. Much easier. Who cares if our Black brothers and their families starve? Whitey is gone! Middle class Black families can go fark themselves, and we get sent tens of billions a year without lifting a finger. Mission accomplished.

part II

2. Botswana - was one of the poorest countries in the entire world in the 70s . Sick famine and poverty. A horror show. Today it is not only the fastest growing economy on the African continent, but one of the fastest growing economies in the world. How did this happen? 2 things: diamonds and no corruption.

The discovery of diamond mines in Botswana gave this country a chance, but other African countries have diamond mines too and are still shit holes, so how to do this? How about by pouring money into your people instead of into your pockets?
A group of western (yes, white, sorry, not sorry) diamond mining companies made a deal with the Botswana government to not only open diamond cutting and polishing factories, but to train locals to do this job, instead of exporting the stones or importing their own cutters and polishers. The condition was that the money was going to be used for infrastructure. Both sides kept their word.
The factory workers were Black, and slowly rose into managerial and owning positions, opening their own factories. Now almost all polishing and cutting factories are Black owned. A solid middle class emerged around the Botswana diamond mines, and middle classes need shit. Like schools, restaurants, shops, houses, cars, etc etc. All this shit needs to be imported, built and opened. People need to do that. Black people. So the Black guy who builds kitchens and the Black guy who imports cars, also need clothes for their families. And so on and so forth. Money generates money.

I think I made my point. There is absolutely no farking reason anyone, anywhere in the world today, no matter is black, white, purple or green with yellow spots should starve. We do not live in the middle ages. The reason people starve is because their leaders want them to starve!!!

None of it has anything to do with wars that happened 100 years ago, or even 50 years ago, or even 25 years ago!
None of it has to do with race or ability.
None of it has to do with lack of natural resources since there are plenty of countries that have zero natural resources that are immensely rich (Japan, South Korea, Israel, Taiwan, etc) because they just invest in something else, like brains for example.

It all boils down to political corruption, greed and mass manipulation.

The end.

oh and I forgot one last thing:

unlimited handouts are the racism of low expectations. And those who love to give unlimited handouts are those who keep people in need, instead of giving them a dignified and proud way out or poverty. They want to keep these people enslaved and in debt to them. It's an absolute obscene vicious circle and unfortunately a lot of people can't see it. They think that giving is a good thing. Stop being so simple minded, it's not!
Governments that give African dictators billions upon billions to keep their own people enslaved in misery and famine, have almost as much blood on their hands as the dictators themselves. Western countries should stop giving handouts unless these handouts are used to better the lives of those who need it. I personally know British 'charities' that have sent their funds to islamic terrorist organisations. I have not given a penny to 'charity' in over a decade and will continue not to.

First: Happy New Year to one and all. May this be a year different than the last one.

On to Africa and economics, countries and politics. Thank you. As interesting as the topic is, let's stop now with this and return to something more on the topic of this blog. Thank you.

And Happy New Year.

wait why?

Whenever I read one hundreds posts about Meghan Markle's feet size, I just scroll on. Or what some psychic said about something. Or cat stories.
Wha'ts wrong with actually speaking about something a little more substantial once in a while?

Happy New Year.

@superfly. I agree. I read your posts with great interest, and learned from them. I suspect because the despised ones weren’t mentioned, that you were “off topic”, which isn’t allowed. I’m ignorant about blogging rules. For whatever reson(s), a couple of my posts were t allowed. I don’t know why.
While reading your posts, I almost raised my arm in agreement, while chanting, “yes”. It’s not only African leaders that withhold money from citizens, usurp wealth from the taxpayers, and conduct themselves shamelessly while the serfs fall on the sidelines. It happens here in Canada.
Meghan and Harry certainly can be brought into the converse here. They are users, pure and simple. They sing for their very grandiose supper by using, abusing platforms. To paraphrase “the bard”, they’re actors on a stage whose words signify nothing.

I find it very interesting that in northern Canada where the diamond industry has taken off recently, you will find mining engineers and managers coming from Africa to teach the white and native people how to do the job.

There are lots of intelligent and qualified people in every country of the world and they can teach others valuable information. Knowledge and intelligence is not limited to one skin colour.

Superfly, I agree with you. And your comments ARE on topic because Megs is allll about being little miss philanthropist to PROFIT from her facade of bogus giving.
Examining how NGO's operate shines a lot of exposure to what she and her backers are really doing. You are showing us what really is moving her greedy fingers. Thank you.

One last comment if you will indulge me, Abbyh.

I work in a very, very technical field and some of the most intelligent people I have had the pleasure of working with were African, Chinese, Iranian and Russian.

I was also very impressed by the work of Frenchmen, Germans, Italians, Americans and Indians.

As I haven't had the opportunity to meet people from every country yet, I am leaving out a lot of nationalities.

People are making some good points.

Basically, it is an interesting topic. I agree.

If we were discussing Africa and problems in an Africa blog, it would be a no brainer. If we were discussing where in Africa JHAM would move to, it would make sense. If we were discussing the Diana minefields and why/how that came to be, it would make sense. When we were discussing how they were behaving on the trip to SA and the contrast of being there, the poverty, the death of the young woman, making people sit on the floor, this would make sense. History of how the BRF handled the independence of the various African countries, could make some sense as to how they handle topics of independence perhaps? (and is a background many do not know). That's not the where we have the problem part of the equation.

When we drift off the general topic of the blog, current events for them, things can have a tendency to spin into some sort of disagreement where various people start claiming greater knowledge than the other(s). And then the moderators have to step in, delete, sometimes have to put the blog on moderate. And that is disruptive to the flow of conversing.

The tricky part is does the conversation turn away from the spinning out of control on its own or when/if should something be said before it goes south or oh, bother - did we wait too long?

So, it is about trying to gently guide the discussion back to the topic we are here for.

So, for example, there are some interesting stories about Mandela but they don't link to
JH or MM. So as interesting or way more uplifting than that spotify was comparatively, it's not part of the saga here.

thank you for asking We can't always explain some of the thought but ...

@Superfly,
I found your posts very interesting and enjoyed reading them.

In my mind, they were related to Meghan and Harry because the two went on their famous and costly trip to Africa for press, only to use the trip simply to whine and bitch about all the imagined grievances they endure in their treetop position of living luxurious pampered spoiled brat lives.

By doing this, they showed utter disdain for and disrespect for African issues and African people. They used the roadside shrine of a young murdered girl to merch some shite top worn by Meghan.

Then a year later, they are positioning themselves as a global leaders of compassion and asking for more handouts from their luxury mansion. They, the most selfish uncaring pair of grifters on the world scene —-lining their pockets and offending everyone, hawking costly celebrity oat milk lattes for more coins —these self absorbed fakes want people to send THEM more for their foundation $ pile. Pretending they want to help others, like those living on a continent they simply used as a film location for their personal self-fattening schemes.

So, your posts addressing Africa and this kind of shadiness seemed appropriate and timely to me as an M&H topic. Something to crunch before handing donations to Archewell. But, it is up to the moderators to direct this blog as they were told to do. Anyway, just my two cents.

So did anyone read that story in the DM about how Meghan wore $60k worth of clothing in 2020?

I don't recall her wearing anything that expensive. (besides the ton of fake hair she has on her head).

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-9027075/Meghan-Markle-slashed-value-wardrobe-wearing-just-44-188-new-items.html

Just imagine how much all of the surgical procedures she has had cost.

A good nose job is at least 10K in Beverley Hills. Veneers are also expensive. Real ceramic veneers are at least 10k as well. Fillers can easily be 3k for the lot, and have to be redone every 3-6 months. Then there's laser resurfacing and perhaps Ulthera, another 3k. So at least 30k in esthetic work.

That works out to about 100k just to appear on Zoom calls.

Apologies if this has already been posted from CDAN:

Blind Items Revealed #7
July 20, 2020

Usually it is in the shadows when it comes to this celebrity couple. The finances are always going to be opaque, just because of what is behind them. Less so for her, because she has always maintained a separate financial profile, profiting off her position whenever possible and making sure she is the only one who can access it while blocking her husband from viewing any of it. Although she filed an extension on her taxes, it appears she did so as married but filing separately. Meanwhile, she wants to know about every penny on the other side of the aisle so to speak.

A complaint has been filed alleging the wife and husband of taking nearly $500K of the public's money that was supposedly heading to a charity, and instead converting it for their own personal gain. Did they split the money 50/50? Is that going to be declared as income? The husband doesn't have to do taxes this year. Next year he will though, and there is going to be a big lid pulled off the cover of the finances of the family from across the pond.

Re the CDAN report from Henrietta

After their engagement was announced (I think) I remember reading in a comment from a “palace spokesman” type that the marriage would not be happening quickly because there would be lots to sort out. MM was from the US and there would be lots of tax issues as a result that palace people would have to get their heads around. I think other things might have been mentioned in addition but Henrietta’s post just jogged my memory on that bit.
Anyone else remember seeing this.

Happy New Year everyone. May it be better than the last

Did you read the blurb about The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister, Part 1?:

Overview
Amidst a firestorm of fake news and media mayhem, Samantha Markle shares the truth about her life and family against all odds and ultimatums, as a royal fairy tale plummets from the tea towels. Sometimes the truth really is stranger than fiction.

Wow, there really is a Samantha Markle book! Thanks for telling us which book vendor is offering a pre-order. I wonder how revealing or how vetted it might be? The use of “part I” makes me wonder if the goods are that weighty, or? @Rebecca, the “royal fairy falling from the tea towel” part made me go “hmmmm” as well.

@Henrietta,
Fascinating CDAN post find. I hasn’t seen it before. Now with all their supposed deals, I wonder how taxes will work. I have to believe the BRF aren’t pleased about ties to Harry’s finances, in light of any reviews, and will surely cut them off in 2021 for safety?

@abbyh,
Thank you for your consideration on those posts about Africa.

an aspect about Harry's involving Diana in his charity is that he is infantilising himself.

Firstly, he posts a picture of himself as a very young child with his mother as opposed to one where is a more of a boy.

Then, of course, he drags her into his money scamming schemes.

The fact is that normal adults want to disassociate themselves from their famous or very accomplished parents (except in politics and show business where the real sociopaths in society tend to gather). We see a lot of athletes with their young kids, but do the kids later try to make a living off of their parents' accomplishments?

"I wonder if it's referring to the charity/foundation funds the Republican group filed a complaint about several months ago."

IIRC, that had to do with the money PH was given when they closed the Diana Foundation. PH put the money into 'Travelyst' and the complaint alleged, essentially, that it was a self-serving transaction between two entities too closely related.

Good point -- pushing 40 and still all “my mommmmmmmmmy” — so embarrassing.

Did you notice that in that website photo they used (easiest to see this in the full color original), even right there with his laughing wonder-mum, as a child, he has his unhappy petulant expression firmly in place? So, apparently, even when she was alive and his life was perfect, he was a little misery guts. There will never ever be a way to make Harry happy. He must have been exhausting for ELF and the BRF, Chelsey and Cressida.

Well, I guess it's all relative. And the DM article did include in that total all the designer wear worn when H&M were in the UK in March including the green Fright Suit. Also a number of her Zoom outfits were supposedly pricey.

The leather trousers and grease-spotted blouse outfit worn to call in to Got Talent was supposedly £1407 or $1923 USD. And her outfit for the cemetery walk was supposedly £4105 or $5613 USD. While she's worn some cheap stuff like the wrinkled linen "pap walk" shift, we actually saw quite a bit of her in 2020 and most of what she wore was not priced like the clothes an ordinary American wears on a daily basis in my experience. In fact her some of the "cheaper for Meghan" outfits (say, $1500) represent what many people in the US spend in an entire year for clothes. In fact, according to The Knot, in 2019 the average price of a wedding dress was $1600. But for "private citizen Meg that amount buys an outfit for sitting on a couch and making one video call.

"misery guts"--- I am learning more British usage here. Thanks. ELF was paid to do a job, to buff Harry's image. So exhausting does not count for him. For the others mentioned, yes exhausting dealing with a flakey person who is high half the time. Put the Cambridges on this list. Now the tables are turned, with Meghan depleting Hapless in her vampire ways. What can you say, but this idiot subconsciously wanted to be under the lash, now he is.

Is This the REAL THING THIS TIME? or is this just stringing people along?

Recently there was (yet another) post somewhere out in the world about how they will soon divorce.  And my first thought was: Haven't I heard this before?  which moved quickly to: how many times have I heard this (through the years)? There were a number of questions raised which ... I don't know.  I'm not a lawyer.  One of the points which has been raised is that KC would somehow be shelling out beaucoup money to get her to go "away".  That he has all this money stashed away and can pull it out at a moment's notice.  But does he? He inherited a lot of "stuff" from his mother but ... isn't it a lot of tangible stuff like properties? and with that staff to maintain it and insurance.  Inside said properties is art, antique furniture and other "old stuff" which may be valuable" but ... that kind of thing is subject to the whims and bank accounts of the rarified people who may be interested in it (which is not most of us in terms of bei

A Quiet Interlude

Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

Christmas is Coming

The recent post which does mention that the information is speculative and the response got me thinking. It was the one about having them be present at Christmas but must produce the kids. Interesting thought, isn't it? Would they show?  What would we see?  Would there now be photos from the rota?   We often hear of just some rando meeting of rando strangers.  It's odd, isn't it that random strangers just happen to recognize her/them and they have a whole conversation.  Most recently it was from some stranger who raved in some video (link not supplied in the article) that they met and talked and listened to HW talk about her daughter.  There was the requisite comment about HW of how she is/was so kind).  If people are kind, does the world need strangers to tell us (are we that kind of stupid?) or can we come to that conclusion by seeing their kindness in action?  Service. They seem to always be talking about their kids, parenthood and yet, they never seem to have the kids
