It's been a while since I've written about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but it's not because they've been idle.
They've launched their new Archewell website, released their first podcast on Spotify, and announced that they would not be re-establishing a social media presence - supposedly to protect their valuable content.
Regular articles are placed in the Daily Mail and the New York Post about the Sussexes' doings, in particular about their relationship with the portions of the Royal Family that have remained in Britain.
There's only one problem: nobody cares. The coverage is driven by supply, not demand.
Selling people something they don't want to buy
You can see it in the number of comments on Daily Mail stories about the Sussexes, which are way below the numbers attracted at the time of Megxit, which took place almost precisely one year ago.
Yet the bots play on, delivering new puff pieces about the Sussexes almost every day.
Presumably approved by the Sussexes themselves or their PR minions, they to sell the public on their own importance, while offering little that the people might really be interested in.
Photos of Archie? Rare, and usually obviously manipulated.
Tour of their current California residence? "You can see a wall or cabinet in the background of our umpteenth diatribe about social problems."
A view into their relationship? That's a staple of any reality program featuring a couple. But there's none of that, and the Sussexes could have collected a lot of sympathy with about the inevitable tensions between a culture from different countries and economic backgrounds.
But the PR people will continue writing something, anything, as long as they are paid to do so.

Coming in 2021 is Meghan's court case against the Daily Mail, a book from sister Samantha and a movie from her father Thomas, and the first episodes of the Sussexes' Netflix series.
Will any of them be enough to create more public interest in the Sussexes?

Yes, Harry was just playing games while he was in the service and was fully protected. My guess is that all of the photos of him "in action" during those days were set-up PR stunts.
Remember when he said going to war was fun because it was like playing video games? What adult man would say such a thing about war and the actual killing of human beings? That comment shows his personal growth and intelligence was stunted at a very early age. War was one, big video game to him. How did he cope in his beloved Army days when bombs and missiles were nearby? That didn't seem to bother his precious, damaged psyche.
How does that jibe with his comments about how he says feels when the photogs camera flashes going off? It takes him right back to Diana's death. Wouldn't that keep him out of the Army, too, if he can't handle loud noises?
Harry seems to pick and choose when camera flashes and loud sounds bother him, so he is, again, not consistent in his statements.
None of that makes sense yet again.
The only thing we could do is to write to Biden and Harris en masse and tell them what we think of Harry and MM being invited to "help".
No, I don't think Charles would approve of this. He knows enough about the separation of his country and another. But who knows? Nobody in this farce is acting the way they should be.

I am not able to watch it at the moment; however, I would like to know whether anybody that does watch it thinks that "caddy" may be a snarky code word for sexual activity.

Haha, glad I gave you a laugh today. But, you know what I mean? It is like Harry married the exact prescription for a nervous breakdown. Therefore I am convinced he is in on it all, a lazy fame seeker hoping his Z-list spouse can drag them up the hill on the strength of her lies and ruthless, shameless hustle. He puts on the pout and sickly gravitas to make Pa feel worried/bad for cash, as he probably has done since post-Diana childhood. The woman was being interviewed by an Australian (along with other local celebrities) just after Archie was born.
The woman keeps saying 'good for her' for marrying into the royal family despite being American, divorced, biracial, Catholic and already having a daughter! The woman comes across as not knowing much outside her little bubble.
She refers to Meghan as one of her 'girls' on Deal Or No Deal, so that is the connection. Meghan only did one season and I doubt that her and Meghan were so close that Meghan confided in her.
She does not really remember Meghan and she is just babbling a lot of confused nonsense (e.g. went to a Catholic school but not Catholic).
When did Meghan have this secret child, how was such a big secret kept (but revealed to this woman), and when could Meghan have had this daughter? She went from school to college (with a stint in Buenos Aires and Madrid, neither for long enough to hide a pregnancy and childbirth) to dating Trevor, then living with him and marrying him.
Interesting ... I just checked Wikipedia. I thought Meghan 'curated' the information on there and one would think she would definitely want to. Her entry claims that she ended her relationship with Cory July 2016 and that she started a relationship with Harry in June 2016 (not met him, but started a relationship with him).

And again, just to be clear, no issue If Megs had a child early on. The issue is not that. The issue is how it may fit into her whole creepy program of falsehoods, and possible weirdness around kids as exemplified by the peculiar twists of the hidden Archie saga, the way Archie seems to regard her as a stranger, and the family warning about leaving her alone with children.

Meghan, along with others, was a caddy for a celebrity golf tournament. I am still not sure if this woman was involved with Deal Or No Deal or simply used the 'girls' from the show as caddies for that celebrity golf day (one of those events where no one outside the bubble knows who the heck the celebrities actually are).
The only sexual connection is that the Deal Or No Deal 'girls' were on the show for eye candy ... long hair, ample bosom, show maximum flesh, have a wide-open mouth look of delight, and so on. It is all so 60s and I am astonished that this was still thought of as appropriate at the time.
The problem with that was that he was an OFFICER, not a lower enlisted service member. I speculate that they had him in some sort of paper shuffler role where he couldn't do a lot of damage. An enlisted person probably did the actual work. He was a Captain; that rank in the US Army and the US Air Force would be commanding at the company level. I can't see Harry being capable of being responsible for himself, let alone a hundred something other people.

I was romantically linked for an afternoon with a certain woman. This day-time wife of mine and I fell into conversation and she began to tell me about her father whom she explained was an illegitimate child in the Bowes Lyons household. She produced various press cuttings in support of the assertion as to his true paternity and I thus learned of her surname - which I have long forgotten.
Talking of real names, in one of her videos and surely inadvertently, Yankee Wally revealed her real name. I am not even sure she now realises that she did this. I, naturally, googled expecting to meet a blank, but oh what a naughty girl she was. I was put in mind of a certain play by Shaw - and I suppose also a famous Ethel Merman musical.
No insult to an American president, but Biden seems a bit old and decrepit for the job, and loves all the hugging touchy feely stuff Meghan used to have as her trademark. But Harris is sharp and ambitious (we would not criticise a man for that so no need to see that as a negative), and I just cannot see her and Meghan getting along.

Hotels used to catering to VIPs have got measures in place to secure privacy, from underground garages to private elevators and staff vetted for their discretion.

The version I've read alleged that Lady Glamis/Strathmore was entirely in agreement with the arrangement. Her previous little daughter had died and she was inconsolable. Sadly, it had been a difficult birth and, much as she longed for another child, she was told that another pregnancy could kill her. An `irregular' birth could be a neat solution, as long as the parties involved were in agreement and didn't breathe a word about it,.
I don't know if this version of events comes from Lady C's account or not; I find it a very poignant story but I've no idea how much truth there is in it.

The reason we never saw or heard more about his visits was due to legal threat Harry made to IPSO which is the UK media's governing body. The threat was along the lines of Harry using royal privilege to back the move against the press by political parties in parliament to remove freedom of the press permanently that was being debated by parliament during the dating years.
The threat was specific to UK media's ability to create a tabloid frenzy around any given subject and he threatened to hold entire UK media responsible for any such frenzy even if article or photos were taken by foreign press.
It's the only reason you didn't get much except during the dating years except for Harry and Meghan authorised pap photos and articles.
The contents of that particular threat were leaked by one of the online news outlets that received a missive from IPSO to that effect.
The press got around the restraint by giving space to Markle family members, but overall they didn't break they kept it until the parliamentary issue was resolved in April 2018.

I had not been aware until this election that he'd ever interacted with the Bidens before, but evidently they are super-tight buds. Maybe Joe and Jill will adopt Harry to be new American parents!!! I don't want to make a lengthy political comment in this space, but suffice it to say that some in the GOP are already formulating articles of impeachment against our new President after his first week in office. I suppose the charges probably stem from Joe's collusion in some dirty corporate business deals with China, overseen by his crackhead son, Hunter.
Joe has weathered the loss of his wife and young daughter in a car accident, right before he was sworn into the Congress . . .then he lost his son Beau, the only surviving child to be worth anything from the looks of it, to brain cancer. The griefs must be crushing. But there are a lot of questions surrounding Biden's business practices and a disturbing tendency to be overly tactile with children and women. If he is somehow embroiled with Meg through some shadowy mutual acquaintance (now deceased?--your guess is as good as mine--and she winds up with any sort of role during his Presidency, youth advocacy or other--we can assume this is some shady hand-in-glove payback scheme. Because she is utterly unqualified to do anything for anybody, and the highest public office holder in the land least of all.
I have such a feeling of disquiet about all of these people that Meg gets involved with. It's a dark and sinister web of collusion and back-scratching, like SPECTRE with its cancerous tentacles reaching everywhere. I get the yips thinking about it.

Joe had two aneurysm operations in 1988 for aneurysms on both sides of his brain. One had burst, one had not. His prognosis for full recovery was less than 50%. After his surgeries, his friends thought he exhibited reduced judgment and a tendency to be more talkative. He also has atrial fibrillation (which can cause strokes from blood clots) and hyperlipidemia (which has been linked to dementia). He has been rumored to have had strokes in the past.
You can see plenty of pictures of him groping little girls and adult women. He, uh, also had a habit of swimming without a suit when female secret service agents were guarding him and they have complained. He called a female student asking him a question at one of his events a "lying dog-faced pony soldier" on national TV. His campaign events were severely limited and kept *very* short, so much so that physicians were speculating about "sundowner's syndrome". Even Obama said, according to Politico, "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f**k things up". There were several events where he appeared very confused. I personally don't think Joe is making any decisions except maybe which pudding cup he wants for a snack. His personal physician of many years instead of the White House physician will be looking after him. That is his prerogative; however, I tend to think that he doesn't want an outside physician observing him.
With his first week of executive orders, he has eliminated additional tens to hundreds of thousands of jobs and billions from the US economy which was already hurt from the blue state shutdowns which bankrupted a lot of businesses. You might think he might be worried about the economy. Not so much. An executive order today prohibited using "China Virus" by the Federal government. Sounds like Xi might be butthurt.
Oh, he just announced that he's going to reform the Supreme Court, too.
If he isn't in charge, he's being set up to be assassinated IMO.

Thanks for digging and joining some dots. I really do not understand the Stanford connection. I thought Stanford was known for academic excellence and do not see how the Sussexes could possibly fit in there, other than being used as a Trojan horse.
To become president, you need more than powerful backers (someone has to fund it all). You need the American people to actually vote for you, and survive the scandals that would be dug up during the campaign (hence the censorship drive?).

The judge and jury take less than a minute to agree.

It is being widely speculated that Biden will very likely either voluntarily stuff down before his term expires, or else suffer a medical emergency that necessitates his removal from office. Then of course there is the specter which all presidents must face—Dying in office either from natural causes or violence. In remarks prior to the election, but I didn’t called himself “a placeholder President.” I’m not sure, given his rather obvious mental confusion at times, whether he meant to say exactly those words, but they do suggest to me that he is aware that his tenure an office is likely to be brief. He would be 81 years old at the end of his first term. There is no upper age limit for the Presidency; our founding fathers only stipulated that candidates for the office must be American born citizens who are at least 35 years of age. When they drafted the constitution in the 18th century, not many people survived to Mr. Biden‘s present age, And neither did the founders envision “government Appointment for life” Whereby by individuals Would still be in Congress or high government office at Mr. Biden’s age after 4+ decades. The idea was that citizens would get elected, serve for a time and then return to the family farm or business, and give other citizens the chance to serve. One individual having a lock on a congressional or Senate seat for 40 years or more was not their original intent. But they did not institute term limits for members of Congress Or the executive branch; our current term limits for the President were only devised After the second world war, when president Roosevelt won a fifth term, Dying shortly there after.
Harris is 55 years old, a prime age, and to be honest, unless Joe really surprises me, I fully expect that she will be taking over for Joe at some point. Frankly, that is not the way I want to see a woman Ascend to that office... it would be very backhanded, and would be tantamount to admitting that a woman can’t get elected by the will of the people, so we have to slide her in through other means. But the vice presidents chief duty is to be on call if something should happen to the president to ensure continuity of government. What interesting times we are living in.

I do think the ruling on the summary judgment, whether or not an actual court trial takes place in the fall, and whether or not these two prime narcissistic fakes get named to a White House post of honor will tell us everything. Joe Biden has clear cognitive difficulty, and seemed unsure of what he was signing in all those folders. He did sign an order to reverse the last admin’s price reduction on insulin, which had helped impoverished people and those of limited means afford that life or death medication. This reversal benefits the big pharma lobby, but leaves citizens without top prescription insurance plans to die. Does he know what he signed? If so, ruthless Megs will fit right in.

I agree with many points others have made about the Run Meghan Run op-ed.
It's largely tongue in cheek. While jumping on the interest caused by Megexit (the column is from Jan 2020), he's pointing out how unqualified candidates for various offices or potential leaders of movements/causes can come out of nowhere, grab media attention, and sometimes become very influential and/or win elections. Real-life Chauncey Gardiners or Valentine Michael Smiths, in a sense. While his lens may be partisan, this can happen regardless of ideology.
He's using Megexit to take a liberal's poke at QEII and the notion of royalty and the UK's PM. He doesn't waste the opportunity to call BoJo, J McCain and T Cruz "foreign born" in their respective nations as payback for the Obama "birther" stuff.
While I think it's a joke (big hint is he feels the need to write at the beginning of the op-ed "This is not a joke") he comes across as kind of patronizing and sexist to me. No way would he write about a man who did a one-semester long (if that) foreign service internship during college, spent 15 years playing minor sex roles on TV and in commercials, and then married into the BRF after a long distance whirlwind courtship 20 months prior, "you’ve got real, hands-on experience in foreign affairs, not only from your time working in a U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires, but in your recent job representing Britain’s national interests abroad." That would be like calling John Kerry a "business tycoon" for marrying Teresa Heinz. (While Kerry has his own wealth, it was inherited, not built by him.)
In fact, I noticed in June 2019 Kounalakis wrote about "Mayor Pete's" run for president. (Kounalakis's wife endorsed Pete's candidacy although K Harris endorsed his wife for Lieutenant Gov. His wife did lobby for Harris to be the VP choice.)
First he called Pete a "breath of fresh air," usually a kiss of death IMO, then said some nice things about him, then wrote:
"Unfortunately, while his fluid rhetoric is inclusive, expansive, and forward-leaning, his policy ideas are mostly back to the future."
"Buttigieg’s future-orientation is undermined by overly focusing on present foreign policy failures, as well as a need to restore previous U.S. policies, rather than presenting new ways and ideas for America to engage and lead the world."
And it goes on.
"On other foreign policy topics, Buttigieg did no harm, showed fluency and competence, but disappointingly added neither more heat to the debate nor shed new light on the challenges."

But Kounalakis seriously believes word salad Meg is qualified? Yeah, right.
Thanks for posting the article, or relevant parts of it. Yes, I think the writer is bing sacastic/making fun of Meghan and those who support her, with an underlying hint of pessimism about the political system.
The tabloids who created headlines from the article did not get it. They took it seriously and are spreading the word that Meghan has high level support to run for president.
Surely Meghan picked up the sarcasm, or is she too in love with herself in her bubble to tolerate any negativity that cannot be turned into serving her agenda?
The Markles have not shown themselves to have staying power for anything. On their own, well managed in a structured environment, they both had some success before they met, but together they so far have shown themselves to be toxic failures. Without powerful backers to promote a false picture of them and clean up after them, the presidency is an absurd fantasy.

Watching what has transpired since then has been like...I can't even find something to compare it to. 1) banana bread - this one is true - she made the chefs go out late at night to get the ingredients for the bread, she made them bake seven different batches as she had tasted them and said “these are horrible, they don’t tast good make another one” so after 7 were done the next morning she took them and told the family that she made them and swiftly after her pr began to talk about how Harry loves her banana bread and how it’s the best�� To say the chefs were annoyed would be an understatement.
2) the market mishap - so with this the reason that was given to the public was said because of security - that’s a lie. What happened was that she really wanted to go out with Jessica, yep she got her BFF to accompany her�� the rumour was true, nothing to do with security, she just took the opportunity of the big crowds to her advantage - many of the people at the market were upset as they felt she could’ve stayed longer as it was planned she would visit all of them she just met like 2/3 people. If you look at pictures you can tell that her security is PISSED. Meghan saw this trip as a luxurious tour aka a vacation where she can enjoy the sun and not do that much. To Meghan it was a star studded trip, basically she was fulfilling her dream of going on tour as this mega star. Both her and Jessica constantly called the work “crap tour stuff”

Also like a repeat of his history and a bit of sweet revenge (ngl one of the reason why I low-key still sorta tolerate him) on the day meghan have the banana cream and it was raining his comment about his wife will share the umbrella was because of his own feelings and also revenge in that she hates when she has to do things like that for him especially since he was the center of attention and she was umbrella lady - so that angered her but she couldn’t do anything about it since cameras - the chefs and everyone else loved him for this because they knew she hated it - I will also say like how Charles/Diana would make do certain things to embarrass each other - Harry would do similar tactics- this was one of them and another was when a man was going to put a pin on his blazer and Harry told him “it’s fine my wife would do it” she did not like that😏. The staff were thrilled when he did that, it was a taste of her own medicine.
Additionally whenever she acted out he was so SHOCKED and DISGUSTED by her behaviour like it was apparent he didn’t know she would behave like this to OTHER people. I guess he thought her acting out was due to stress or him doing something wrong etc but when she acted out during the early stage to other people when press was POSITIVE he was very confused. And CONSTANTLY apologised like all of the time hence why he would sometimes do small tactics to kind of seek revenge on behalf of them😏."

5) Hot tea - this one is TRUE - big bold truth, she got paid off but Jesus how sugars think Meghan is this nice and kind queen is beyond me. She was an absolute MONSTER. So what was the reason as to why she threw hot tea? Well it was because it “didn’t tast right!” Yep she threw hot tea because of the taste - didn’t know she was Gordon Ramsay also if she was to ever read in here maybe stop giving head to EVERY rich man you encounter semen, drugs and alcohol has an effect on tastebuds, you were in Australia not soho - social climbers are always found out about.
6) Now to the changing bellies -she was most definitely pregnant, during the AU tour she would just stick her tummy out further or eat before coming out to make her stomach protrude. Later on aka when she was in the uk she would have enhancers to make her belly bigger than what it was, the reason why her stomach was big at the photo all was just simply because she gains weight later than most women - she was her biggest when at the end of her pregnancy. However I will say this what was weird was that she did drink whilst at Australia - everyone was confused and the queen was worried when she heard this. I think she stopped after tho, but there most definitely was an occasion where she drank. BUT SHE WAS PREGNANT. I understand why people think she wasn’t but let’s be honest this is Meghan she thinks she’s this super women. Also one of her things was that she wanted to do the bridge climb with Harry and put up a big fuss which was weir considering she was pregnant and pregnant women don’t do that - now I know many of you will look at this and will be like I think she wasn’t pregnant but I can assure she was. I will say this her sugars say that she is oh so mature and kind but my source says that whenever people talk about her behaviour it’s like they were talking about a spoilt toddler constant tantrums and fuss, her immaturity speaks volumes in relation to this scenario because she REALLY wanted to do like a toddler having a tantrum because they want to do why adults do but it’s too dangerous for them."
