Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event? Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th? Oscar's - March 10th? In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US. The IRS just never goes away. Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on). There's always another one. Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California. That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales. Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere. But. The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

I assume that the duo will cancel their engagement for the evening. No need for them to go to Scotland, and I do wish everyone would stop saying that he should go to Scotland. The Queen has 8 grandchildren; only one is a direct heir: William. No one is saying that any of the other grandchildren must go to Balmoral immediately.

Charles was already close by at Dumfries House…the fact that William has been summoned to Granny’s bedside is troubling.
Not to be flippant because HM’s frailty has been all too apparent since she lost her husband but HM’s incipient demise seems impeccably timed to coincide exactly with Harry’s last whistle stop in London today. Tomorrow he flies back across the ocean, and who knows when the next visit would be? Could this medical scare with the Queen actually have been orchestrated to lure Harry to Balmoral? Emergency has reached the point where her doctors will be in attendance for daily checks no doubt. The press statement really couldn’t be more vague. What if The sense of urgency was being embroidered in order to get Harry up there with all the people he so far has refused to meet?
Either he goes to his grandmother now at this prime opportunity—or he blows her off. If the latter, that’s the final nail in his own coffin and he won’t dare show his face at the eventual funeral. Well Child can get by without his word salad, but he’s only got this one opportunity to see Granny.

But then, like the vultures they are, the Sussexes have been feeding off the corpse of Diana for years, so nothing they do will surprise me. Beautifully expressed - thank you Swamp Woman. Our rector once said that `healing' doesn't necessarily mean `recovery'. It can be the other outcome - I felt that when my mother died after more than a decade of dementia which caused her great distress.
Ian’s gir she prob stayed behind for the kids. i know with my parents and my husbands parents our kids were about the ages of the Cambridge kids. one of us stayed behind so the other could be with the dying parents tough time for any family to go through the only thought to the harkles is likely one of how to avoid them.
