PH and * were planning to be in NYC and attend William's speech to the UNGA? Seriously? Who would let them in??

Well, we know from Harry's disastrous Mandela Day moment that they have some contacts in the UN. And before recent events, I think that they would have been able to elbow their way in. Perhaps the original plan was to do some seat-jumping, like what * pulled during her last Commonwealth Day service, in order to nab another photo with Prince William.

Things have changed since then. Let them call all their contacts and jump all the seats in the world. They will not get near him.

At Enbrethiliel - I pulled my comment as william's visit is in December, not September. My mistake in not checking the dates. I have no idea why 6/5 and * would be in NYC for the UNGA or anything UN in September.

OT - I am surprised at the low profile PW is keeping currently. We have one photo of Catherine on the school run (both directions, lol) and that is it. Meanwhile the photos of H abound - in the car, at the airport, etc.

finally - after listening to the pundits for a few hours, I have come realize that Charles' one sentence to H&M was that he sent love as they live their life overseas. Period. No reference to the monarchy or the future. Looks like C did take lessons from HMTQ. Well played.

So Meghan was going to muscle her way to Balmoral before the Palace got wind and put a stop to it. And it's alleged Harry was late because he fought with her for hours over her insisting that she come with him. Yes, this is the crass utterly self-centered woman he married. Not one ounce of class.

@Karla,

We know People magazine is the duo’s mouthpiece, they don’t bother to check lies against facts!🙄😂 I do hope foreign nationals understand just how much the despicable pair lie and put out paid for PR puff pieces to keep them relevant! 😂

The pair can spin whatever they like…they are a dead loss to the UK. Let’s hope King Charles keeps the bolts on the doors, he’s made it pretty clear Maggot and Mole is on the periphery of the royal family now.🥴

You can bet she won't TOLERATE being left out on the cold on the biggest royal funeral in our life times. She couldn't tolerate being left out of Balmoral but she was, ha ha ha. So really, why would this be any different, except MORE lights! camera! action!! Also, she needs to be associated with them to keep her nasty brand going. She'll be there like a foul odor. Count on it.

Faster winds on the royal family's social media.

For the first time ever, the event will be televised.

I am having a chuckle at the People magazine and the DM - Prince and Princess Mountabtten-Windsor.
The 6/5's are putting Charles on notice with the 1917 letters patent. IF Charles choses to deny/ pull the children's titles, I am hopeful he has direct quotes from the occasions that * rejected titles and said if her son wanted to have a title when he was older, it was (the child's) choice (referring to the Earl of Dumbarton title eligible at birht).

i think ian’s girl was right on the last thread. she will pull a uvalde if she is still in the UK and she will angle for a memorial service. full funeral will include heads of state and will be a nightmare for seating purposes. a smaller gathering. (heard holyrood house will be senior royals only) or any where else she will find a way to stand out. then again if she pulls a uvalde i am most sure that people will tar and feather her so she may not take that risk.

I think that one (of perhaps several reasons) Catherine stayed to pick up the kids was that, as a family, their life will change from that announcement moment on. And so, she was giving the kids one last day. He was handling the future and she was handling the transition for the family. Power couple focused on their kids while everything around them was changing.

(they have a great nanny but this is family needing to be there as a family for the kids)

As much as you can think or plan for what you know will be a huge change, the reality, once you are in the middle of it, may not feel like "the plan" dry runs.

Plus, she could tell them in private. Display grace, dignity for them. Talk about it. Those kids have had a lot of changes in the last couple of months (houses, schools before you get into the talk of HM passing on).

Moving to announcing who and when - it was quite clear when the BBC switched to black on the logo, even though it was not announced yet, what direction things were headed. And, the comments on the live stream kept talking of how she had passed (they had the time right) and that the announcement would be made at that correct time (which they did). So, the word was getting out (no matter what people "planned"). People will spill. Reality. Move on.

As for the titles, who knows what will happen when the dust settles. Maybe they will be pulled as someone took them at the quote about not wanting them (especially if books move forward). No matter, now is bad form to be mentioning at all.

One of the things which might be interesting to follow is: what happens to Frog Cottage? What will happen with the lease with a new landlord? Is it possible it might be offered to someone else and they are offered something else "in kind"? Some place way off the beaten track. Quiet. Restful in what we think of UK countryside. Less reason to visit but could be great landing spot (far away from court life) for someone to lick wounds/less able to rile things up and less appealing to some who want to be at some status place in the middle of the fast lane.

There was always something so weird about that story - beginning with it is being renovated, what they were buying for it, they were living there, Archie was there, they were visited by a lot of famous people who all supposedly saw the baby, then they were not but now Princess Eugenie sublet it but they moved out or they stayed when 5's visited or then they moved out finally. And furniture may or may not have been shipped. IDK but that whole thing, start to now, never made a lot of sense (at least to me). But I've been wrong before.

The most comical thing of the last two days was psycho Megs jamming her way up to Balmoral. Or trying to. As if in a million years she would be welcomed. She figured she should race bait the BRF if they tried to keep her out. My guess is the BRF ultimatum to the Hapless duo was, "Show up with M and the guards will deny you both entry".

Such touching tributes from all over the globe on the queens passing. Heartbreaking that she continued performing her duties in spite of her illness and pain. She is an example of feminine power. True power as a monarch, a spouse and a mother. Quiet and constant. The role of women in the world has changed from when she began her reign. Her example and policies helped bring about that change.

I hope that Charles addressing H&M by their first names foreshadowed a loss if titles.

M is already maneuvering fir titles and mentioning the possibility of " the first Prince of color". Hope it backfires. Tacky move by a tacky ho and her minions.

The roles, if any, A & H have in the funeral will be telling.

The queen diplomatically requested male family members not wear military uniforms during PP funeral. Full pomp are expected for the queens ceremonies.

Just H in a suit ( hopefully not wrinkled paired with shiny shoes) walking far behind the coffin, dae behind his brother the future kung and his father the king in full regalia would show his place.

M would have to curtsey to the impeccably dressed queen consort and princess if wales. She will look like the poor relation in her " designer " duds and tiny little jewelry. And miss her moment on Jimmy Fallon! Wonder what she had to do to "score" that interview.

You are right about the new King Charles taking back Frogmore. The Duo got a grace and favor lease from the Queen that was not in perpetuity. Charles is a different landlord. Take back Frogmore to deny these pests a UK base of operations. And Charles must find a way that the H/M off spring do not get royal titles. Some news outlets claim they are already automatically prince and princess.

Charles should act 20 days from now, when all the mourning is over. He must not dawdle on demoting the Duo.

Do you think the Prince and Princess of Wales (insert large grin emoji here) will be moving out of Adelaide Cottage?

I was wondering about the wee Wales's, and having to start at another school...so many changes of late, and the death of their great-grandmother on top of that. Would it be possible for them to stay at their current school if a move back to KP is on tap?

I feel for William and Catherine; I think they were hoping to have a few more relatively normal years with their little ones.

Catherine is going to make an incredible Queen Consort. She has such good instincts.

If King Charles doesn't strip the Sussexes of their titles, then my opinion is that he should let A&L have their HRH and titles. The disgust we feel about the behavior of their shouldn't be taken out on the children.

I suppose he could truthfully say that there is no place for new titles in his slimmed down monarchy, but we will never, ever hear the end of her claims of racism.(We probably won't anyway, but there is no point giving her ammunition.) If the King doesn't have the cajones to strip H&M of their titles, then he needs to fully capitulate and let * gloat.

I hope he sacks up and tells them that private citizens do not require titles, but I don't think he will. Perhaps he'll surprise me. There was certainly of air of "you've made your beds, now lie in them" in his speech.

I was truly touched when he threw down the gauntlet for Camilla. She is my darling and you will call her Queen.

You go, Majesty; I like your style!

Meghan Markle Concerned Queen’s Death May Yank Her From Spotlight For A Few Days

MONTECITO, CA — In the latest episode of her podcast Narcissists, model, TV star, fashion designer, podcaster, and princess-in-law Meghan Markle took aim at Queen Elizabeth II's "convenient" grave illness as another aristocratic attempt to pull her from the spotlight for a few days.

Queen Elizabeth II has refused to comment on Markle's substantial accusations, using excuses such as being a near-centenarian experiencing a precipitous decline toward the brink of a tragic death.

"It's just like the Queen to pull a stunt like this," said Markle on the fourth episode of her podcast in which she interviews a mirror. "Ever since I married what's-his-name, she has had me in her sights. I bet she kicks the bucket just to pull me from the spotlight this week. I mean, how selfish is that?"

We haven't spared a thought for Anne; I'd wager she will feel the loss more than anyone. I'm so glad she already in Scotland, and able to rush over at the end. I think Charles will be leaning on her more than ever. They seem to be close.

And Andrew; his grief is probably quite keen, and his protector is also gone. Does he lease Royal Lodge? Would Charles be petty enough to kick him out? Would Her Majesty have left him a home, and can he afford the death taxes on it? I'm sure he's an arrogant arsehole, but I'd rather seem him back in public life than the 5ths. Doubt his elder brother or eldest nephew will have any part of that, however.

Will Charles really kick his mother's elderly cousins out of their homes in his slimmed-down monarchy?! Do they have other properties to go to?

The dear old Duke of Kent looked 20 years older than the Queen at Trooping the Color, and he's younger than she; he looked so frail (but still rather dashing!) that I wouldn't have been surprised to see him drop dead right then and there. It would be shocking to me if he and Princess Alexandra were made to start house-hunting at this stage of the game; their decades of service should also be respected. Unlike their grandnephew and niece in law, they have more than earned their keep. Can British Nutties offer any thoughts on this? It's been bothering me since Charles started harping on this slimmed down Monarchy stuff.

I frankly don't see how a handful of Royals is going to be able to cover all the tree plantings and hospital openings and charity patronages. Anne's probably got a good 20+ years in her, but she and Charles are no Spring chickens. They'll likely tread gently with Camilla for awhile and get people used to the new title, but even if becomes wildly popular, and I hope she does, she's even older than Charles. I can't see her keeping up a pace like Anne does.

They desperately needed Harry to land a great wife, and look what a mess he turned up with. It could have been so, so good. If Nutmeg (and Harry himself) had had an ounce of class and common human decency, it would have been. BP had been pushing the whole "Fab Four" thing hard. There was a great feeling of hope and joy in a new generation of attractive young (ish) royals. All tossed aside and trampled on by a bitterly jealous younger son and his two-bit, D list narc of a spouse. What a shame.

According to our source the Balmoral fiasco has ruined it for the couple.

"Meghan thought she was going and got ready only to be told she wasn't welcome," said the source, "She then flew into a rage at Harry."

ACCORDING TO SOURCES HYSTERICAL MEGHAN HAD TO BE CALMED DOWN AFTER BEING TOLD SHE COULDN'T GO TO BALMORAL BECAUSE KATE WASN'T GOING.

Blames Princess of Wales for preventing her from going to see the Queen.

Thinks it was orchestrated to make her look as bad as possible.

iSOURCE NEWS REPORTS HARRY AND MEGHAN ARE AT ODDS OVER THE ROLE MEGHAN WILL PLAY IN THE QUEEN'S FUNERAL

According to sources Harry is lowering her expectations while she is pushing for a prominent role.

In her mind she wants maximum visibility to make up for the Balmoral snub.

MEGHAN'S FURY

Our sources say Meghan refused to speak to Harry upon his return from Balmoral and made him spend the night in a separate bedroom.

"It's really bad between them right now," said one of the sources, "It's the lowest ebb in their relationship."

MEGHAN THREATENING TO LEAVE HARRY OVER BALMORAL BLOW-UP

"Meghan is refusing to let go of it. She hit Harry pretty good when he returned saying she would leave if humiliated further at the funeral."

GOING FROM BAD TO WORSE FOR HARRY AS MEGHAN THREATENS TO LEAVE

Sadly, 6 is now no5.

Long ago, I thought that `Number 6' was a truly happy coincidence, given the TV cult series `The Prisoner', first aired in 1967. The central character was referred to as `Number Six'.

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Prisoner - it seemed extraordinarily appropriate.

The only association I can think of for Number 5 is Chanel no 5 - suggesting an expensive air-freshener, given the way * hangs around like a bad smell.
Funeral: Assign all the seats, even if footmen have to be used to fill any gaps, then tell her she'll have to stand. Ensure that everyone else is secretly told to be there 15 minutes ahead of published time they've been given.

If she turns up, let her stand, no gentlemen permitted to offer her seat. Fid a way to keep her out of Choir Stalls and Sanctuary, lest she tries to steal a Choir or Clergy seat.

Rebecca English:

“William will have more time to focus on his new role now he no longer has to nursemaid his younger brother.”

I hope Harry reads this.
In England, we have consecrated our monarchs in a religious service for well over a thousand year. (I don't know what the Scots did). BTW- Two of our Anglo-Saxon kings (both called Edward) were, and are, designated `saints'; this was before Rome formulated the rules.

It's difficult to see how this can be de-lavished - the clergy have gorgeous vestments already; the Regalia is centuries old; and I can't see the King liking a modern language service where `You' replaces `Thee', `Thou' and `Thine', much as the words might stick in the Archbish's throat, as the King favours the Tudor language of the 1662 Prayer Book (yes, it was antiquated even then - other faiths still have special sacred languages for their rites)

It's State Occasion, with visitors expecting a bit of a show, for which we are noted. The one big difference I can see from 1953 is that, inevitably, the Procession cannot be on the same scale. 1953 relied on the Armed Forces of the Commonwealth as well as those of Britain. UK forces at that time were swollen by National Servicemen in addition to the Regulars.

Timing? To have it in winter would be cruel to spectators, many of whom would start arriving before the day and camp out on the pavement. Would costs be cut by reducing the number of Portaloos?
Camilla's brooch is certainly a Staffordshire Knot - I did find a close up but lost it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUWX8kUetz8

Was she presented with it by the Staffordshire regiment, a.k.a `Prince of Wales's'

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/camilla-leaves-floral-tribute-grave-144322826.html

`Greg Hedges, 56, representing the Staffordshire Regiment Association, chatted to Camilla as she stroked the organisation’s mascot Corporal Watchman VI, a three-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier.

The former Warrant Officer 2nd Class, who served with the Staffordshire Regiment, said: “She was having a chat to our mascot, they’ve met before and she’s a fan.'

Nice photos, including one with Major Johnny in background. Camilla's showing her Rifle Brigade connections here (she Hon. C-in-C) - coat in the dark green of the Rifles, plus the brooch with the Rifles' bugle.

Apart from that, I can't find any other Staffordshire connection.

I've never heard of isource_news and don't know how good its sources could possibly be, but dang, does everything in that report line up with what we know of * or what?

It figures that she would make Queen Elizabeth's death about her and her "humiliation."

Someone recently reminded me that narcissists think of other people not just as supporting characters to them, but as specific types of supporting characters. For instance, if the narc has "cast" you as "the funny one" and a different friend as "the smart one," then you'd better not try to step out of line by having good ideas . . . and the other friend had better also keep the peace by never telling jokes. If you do anything "out of character," no matter how excellent or virtuous, it will be belittled by the narc. (To him, it's as if a refrigerator stopped cooling things and started warming them instead. That would be a sign of a broken refrigerator that may need to be thrown out. To narcs, we are all potentially broken appliances.)

As has been obvious to all for the last few years, * has cast the new Princess of Wales as the villain in her princess story. So of course she would believe that Catherine orchestrated all this just "to humiliate" her. That Catherine might have had other reasons (e.g., respect for Elizabeth's children, concern for her own young ones, etc.) is something she will never accept. Anything that makes Catherine less villainous is something she will never accept. She probably believes that Catherine conspired with Prince William to get the Prince and Princess of Wales titles ASAP for the sole purpose of humiliating *.

Thank you, Snarky, OC Girl and Happy Days, for your most helpful suggestions.

Pearls are an excellent idea - in Royal terms they symbolise tears. I have my mother's triple-strand `simulated ones' - by Lotus, if any Nutty recalls that name! I shall wear them with the basic, dark-blue, princess-line dress I trot out every 10 years or so for special occasions (dirt-cheap from BHS when that still existed) and a rather pricey-but-heavily-reduced little bolero/jacket from a smart boutique (silky, with a delicate print of blue irises on a white ground). It has sat in the wardrobe, unworn, for 5+ years, my cousin having talked me into it on the grounds that I'd `have lots of opportunity to wear it'. As if.

I shall feel like a princess - on a budget! Dad's family came from the poorest of the Staffordshire poor, so I'll look into getting a `Knot' brooch of my own.

It was noticeable that there was no invitation for Harry to join the family party that headed north on Thursday, taking off from RAF Northolt bound for Aberdeen.

He made his own way to Balmoral by private jet and faced a lonely drive to the castle, finally arriving at 7.52pm – an hour and a half after the palace's historic statement informing the nation of the death of Her Majesty.

He was seen being driven out at 8.28am yesterday, little more than 12 hours later.

@Wild Boar,

Vis. the funeral seating for the Twunts, I favor your suggestion—The erstwhile Sixes no longer rate even second tier Royal status. As the new King so succinctly put it, “Hawwy and MeGain” will be private citizens visiting from California, taking time out from their fabulous best lives in the sun. Their dedication to honoring the lady at the center of the proceedings which has been so amply demonstrated since their marriage and their current status should be reflected in their seating. Two folding chairs in the vestibule sounds appropriate. Madam can’t be given any leeway to sashay up the aisle for any length… And that aisle at Westminster Abbey is long. Their place is behind all of the other invited congregation. Preferably they’d be relegated to the pavement outside in the overflow area but ‘reserved seating’ for two near the exit works for me. The duo can be reminded how convenient these seats will be as they can slip out before the recessional and beat that airport traffic. Major Johnny will personally call them an Uber and give them a packet of sandwiches on the way out since they regrettably will have to be on their way back home to Prince Archie Doll and Princess Lilibet Doll before luncheon is served.
I’m glad so many have picked up on King Charles address of Maggot and Mole. The DM are running with a narrative that by saying he expressed his love for them he was extending an olive branch to them. For many it was seen as no such thing, it was little more than a polite courtesy acknowledgment of his other son and his wife, he didn’t even say Mole, Maggot and their children. We were witnessing a way forward for the Monarchy’s future.🥴

I’m watching The Accession live on Sky. So many days this week history has been made. 🤗

@Opus,

You are correct in stating that the BBC presenters changed to wearing black attire, and this was observed by my own Mother and before The Queen had actually died! 🫤😞 Further, Nicholas Witchell then stated to speculate over The Queen’s health, but thankfully he was shut down by Huw Edwards.

I remember shortly before The Queen Mother’s death in March 2002, then Prince Charles, William and Mole had a press call whilst on their annual skiing holiday at Klosters…Prince Charles was caught on mic saying they he can’t bear that man (Nicholas Witchell) 😂I wonder what he thinks of him now! 😖

They must have appropriated from the Order of the Garter, founded by Edward III in 1348 or earlier. It's Middle French - `Shame on him who thinks evil'. thoroughly English and kingly.

The story is that the king was dancing with a lady and her garter fell on the floor. This was in the days long before ladies wore bifurcated garments under their gowns. The king is said to have said it to stop the sniggering and prevent the lady's reputation being besmirched.

There is one thing in the story of the meltdown that bothers me: how would anyone know that she had a meltdown and what she said? Unless there was someone from WC there at the time because such person was trying to co-ordinate with the hapless one to make the journey to Balmoral?
For the first time, the meeting of the Council Of Accession has been televised -fascinating. The process to confirm PC as KC, by the Privy Council, goes back to pre-Christian Anglo=Saxon times, the PC is in effect a modern form of the Witan, the council of `wise men' (that's what `Witan ' means who ascertained whether or not a dead king's eldest son was fit to succeed him.

If he was a weakling or milksop, they looked for a better candidate among his relatives. A king in those days (until 18thC in fact) was expected to lead his army in battle - there could be a great deal of bitter rivalry between brothers for the job. Does that sound familiar?
They just can’t shut up, can they?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to remain in UK 'until after Queen's funeral'
Ryan Merrifield & Kaitlin Easton - 2h ago
|

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not leave the UK until the Queen's funeral has taken place, it has been claimed.
The monarch suddenly passed away on Thursday, while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in the country as part of a mini Euro tour.
Harry, 37, rushed to Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire where Elizabeth II died surrounded by her family. He was due to speak at the WellChild awards in London on the same day but pulled out.
Meghan, 41, remained in the English capital, similarly to Kate who stayed at home while Prince William travelled up north, the Mirror reports.
The Sussexes touched down in Britain last Saturday and have appeared at events in Manchester and in Dusseldorf, Germany, and were thought to be planning to jet back home to California, US, imminently.
But are now understood to be staying until at least Monday, September 19 when the state funeral is expected at Westminster Abbey.

They are also said to have discussed whether their children, Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, will be making the trip over, reports HELLO.

The magazine's royal editor Emily Nash said: "We understand that Harry and Meghan will be staying in the UK until after the funeral.
"It's fair to say that they obviously want to be present for the Queen and pay tribute to her."
They seem determined to bugger things up. Unfortunately, the b****y Independent is on their side so any plans for firm handling will have to take account of `liberal' ie woke, attitudes.

They're certainly going for a war of attrition.
The Prince of Wales along with The Queen Consort was at St.James’ Palace. Both had an institutional role to play, but I wonder whether Mole would’ve been there too, in another era? 🫤
I believe that any love the King has for the Harkles must be very tough love if he and the Realm are to have any peace from them.

What would it take to make charges of High Treason stick? She's in the UK so subject to our law and being American won't help her - her conduct might well be construed as treasonoues.

OPRAH WANTS TO ATTEND QUEEN'S FUNERAL

According to sources she and Meghan are working on it.

What is wrong with these two women?

@GWAH
I have come across more tweets from that source but they are a post within a post so I gave not tried to copy and paste them here.

One of the posts said something about him being delayed so much that he was shut out the room when he got to Balmoral, or something like that. (I guessed initially that the delay was because he had to scramble to find his own transport.)

Maybe I am stretching by trying to make this incredible and improbable tea even vaguely true ... I am guessing that prayers would have been said in the room where the Queen died and it is possible the other family got there in time for that, but the hapless one was not let in to interrupt whatever ceremony was taking place.

The claims about her in crisis talks with SS are credible. They would have got her the Jimmy Fallon gig so they would cancel it on her behalf. I don't know if they would be able to postpone her next podcast, which is due to be released before the funeral. Wouldn't Spotify count on a higher listenership for a podcast series declining in popularity because of the world focus on the BRF at this time?
I have no idea of how I found this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/SaintMeghanMarkle/comments/x8nvuk/this_popped_up_on_my_fyp_and_i_cant_stop_laughing/
Harry can count himself lucky that Gan-gan was on the throne for so long and therefore he could get Duchy money out of his dad way beyond any reasonable time. He should have become a self-supporting adult years ago.

Charles spoke about 'H and M', not 'the Duke and Duchess of Sussex'. To me it's not an olive branch, it's a very subtle way of saying they're family but not members of the BRF.

@Wild Boar and @Girl with a Hat

Please nooooo! Not * at the funeral, faking grief, looking a mess compared to Camilla and Catherine, trying to insert herself front and centre (but hopefully stopped). As for Oprah, words fail me. Is this really possible? (Tell me it isn't).

@Hikari, your musings about where to place the noxious ex-6s during the funeral gave me great joy.

I quote you: the Twunts’ “…dedication to honoring the lady at the center of the proceedings which has been so amply demonstrated since their marriage and their current status should be reflected in their seating. Two folding chairs in the vestibule sounds appropriate.”

I love the way you think, and In my dreams the folding chairs collapse on their sorry a$$e$ while Netfluxx gets it all on camera. Now THAT is a scene I would joyfully watch and applaud.
Does anyone seriously believe Oprah will go to the funeral? 😂😳🙄She won’t be invited! Why even try and give Twitter and MSN credibility! Too many trolls and Maggot bots on Twitter and next to no facts via MSN. 😳

I’m certain neither Maggot or Mole will be allowed to ruin anything, I’m not even sure if either will be invited to the funeral. If Mole goes, I’m doubtful he’ll be seated near family. Mole wasn’t invited or allowed on the flight up to Aberdeen, he left first and he’s been seen nowhere since…!

All the details about the Queen's state funeral

Who will attend?
All royal family members will attend the Queen's funeral, including her children, King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward, along with their own families. The Queen's grandchildren will also be present, including Prince William and his wife Kate, the new Princess of Wales, and Prince Harry. It's expected that Meghan, the duchess of Sussex will also fly over to join him.
Heads of state, prime ministers and presidents, and other important international figures will also be invited to the funeral. The newly appointed prime minister of the UK, Liz Truss, will also attend. The abbey can hold a congregation of around 2,000 people"

https://www.harpersbazaar.com/uk/culture/culture-news/a41133314/queen-elizabeth-funeral/
...

my opinion
1) Oprah Needs To Be Invited To "Supposedly" Show Up
2) This article is Harpers Bazaar (land of Omid Scobie too) So what do they mean by: "It's expected that Meghan, the duchess of Sussex will also fly over to join him"
I didn't understand this quote
Teasmade said…
Unfortunately Dimbulb, as an actual grandchild, will be invited, I'm sure. Common ("common", heh) courtesy would dictate that his spouse would be expected.

Such a shame that someone will have to be assigned to monitor their actions since neither one can be trusted to behave.

No reason for O to be there. I can imagine that her steady girlfriend Gayle might be involved as a narrator for a US TV station. I have never seen her but I understand she has a role in daytime TV?

i’m not crying are you crying? just saw the coverage of princess anne and her husband and children the yorks (no fergie). and the edinburgh (ok wessexes i’ve jumped the gun). seeing the despair on sophie’s face. so sad. but a good time for the family to be together before the more formal ceremonies. a reminder the country lost a queen but the family lost a most beloved family member.

on another note. charles did appear to get a big snippy with the ink wells this morning. live tv not a good look. he was doing so well up until then. by major johnny came to there rescue. put him out in front and the world will swoon.
@Sandie, Sky reported at the time (Thursday) that Maggot had to find and finance his own transport to and from Balmoral. 🥴

I read somewhere, not sure where, but that the twit wasn't even allowed in the Queen's bedchamber after his arrival. Apparently, there was a religious ceremony occurring, the doors were closed, and they didn't want to interrupt it by allowing him in.

He should have got the message loud and clear that he is no longer welcome, if that was the case.

@Embrethiliel, you really nailed it for me with your entire post in reference to The Twuntess’ alleged meltdown due to being blocked from rushing to Balmoral, much of which I hereby cut-and-paste, while thinking yes! Yes. You’re so right.

I’m so sad for good, loving, honorable Katherine unfairly being the target of ex-666, who I continue to maintain is actually dangerous, and I hate that the unhinged $u$$ucks squad members believe the Twuntess’ lies and unfounded accusations:

“As has been obvious to all for the last few years, * has cast the new Princess of Wales as the villain in her princess story. She probably believes that Catherine conspired with Prince William to get the Prince and Princess of Wales titles ASAP for the sole purpose of humiliating *.”

Brava!

Also agree with your statement that G-G”s long life kept the purse strings open longer. I hope that purse is permanently closed to them. I have hope: KC wished them well in their life overseas. “You have made your choice—go for it.”
I honestly cannot believe how they could think that alienating the Family and Firm was a good strategy.

1) Update delay
2) KCIII has to name them.
3) Or indicative that KCIII will issue new LP and mop up the monarchy with new senior workers.

ok i have a bone to pick with her majesty (no not the montecito one. i have other issues with her). it was very rude of her to die when she did and then have a funeral 10 days later. we will be on vacation. i am a news junky. this is killing me. i wanted to watch it online via the bbc. they did a fab job for Philips funeral. the hushed tones of golf commentators at the british open and they introduced a song or segment and just let us all take it in. US stations the anchors yapped their way through. i don’t care about your last trip to london or sipping tea at Fortum and Mason thinking the queen mum was going to stop in. shut up and let us take it all in. ok that’s my rant. gonna see if youtube still has the bbc prince philip funeral so i will know i can watch when i get home. or download at the end of the trip and watch on my flight. ok. enough about me but i am so bummed about this.

@GWAH: I totally believe that Mrs. Dum Dum exploded for several hours over not going to Balmoral. That's why he was late. And, she'll keep exploding for days, weeks, months. It's never ending ammunition to throw at Mr. Dum Dum and the RF.

Those in charge of seating at the funeral, cars, transport, etc., already know what the Dum Dums will attempt. Late to the funeral so they can walk in alone while everyone else is seated, smile at the cameras, etc. They just might be restricted, and not allowed in if they try to pull that stunt again.

With KC calling them Megan and Harry, he's letting them know that they'll be seated somewhere in the balcony, or back row, in the middle. If they come late, they'll be refused entrance. They are nobodies.

I don't believe that KC or anyone in the RF spoke to Mr. Dum Dum about the Mrs. not coming; I think they have courtiers do that kind of thing.

This is supposed rumors Secondhandcoke is hearing out of LA. Part 1 of 3 in order of appearance/oldest to earliest today:

Yes. Not only do the Markles have social/familial factors pushing hard against the publication of this book, but when it comes to content, Meghan thinks she's Cat St. Laurent-level, but she can't even come close to that level of thought or achievement. Everything Meg proposes is on par with writing on bananas and Meghan isn't smart enough to understand the proposals of truly effective initiatives of the ilk St Laurent would be making. Meghan thinks, though, that she's not only on par with her, but that she's better than her, so she doesn't listen and/or stamps those misshapen feet and cries off with their heads like with the Sussex Survivors. Meghan is a very stupid woman. She's not even a little bit smart. That's just the truth. So when she bumps up against smarter people, they see how stupid she is and can't even find a way to get on the same page with her. Self-aware people respond to this by surrendering control and redirecting their personal resources into support for the better ideas. Narcissists like Meghan, on the other hand, cannot see their own limitations and think they are better and brighter than all involved. More importantly, rather than ever support, all they can do is control. Part of this control involves harassing, denigrating, and running away more capable people. So I agree that even the content of this book is unlikely to be publishable at this point.

BUT more than professional battles are impeding the publication of this book. I hear more and more that Harry is getting together the wherewithall to leave. The tour was full of arguments and fights according to those I know, and the queen's death has made their already floundering marriage even more on the rocks. Harry is allegedly beginning to see all that he has lost to be with her how little he has gained. He does not want to piss off his famiky with a tell-all.

I also was told that her Cut interview saying she hasn't signed any kind of NDA and she found journals and the other rumors that she is going to publish her own memoir is a threat to HARRY more than Royal family. This threat is because not only does she see Harry not likely to publish any time soon, but she allegedly also sees one of his feet heading towards the door. The family worry about the impact of her lies, but they also know they will largely be proveable lies. She's not threatening them. She's threatening him, trying to get him to stay through blackmail based on what he knows her memoir could reveal about the family, but also about him. That's the latest I am hearing. I hope this is corroborated in the MSM soon because I'm hearing it more and more to the point that people (including me) are hopeful for Harry. I want these rumors to be true and I want them to be reported showing that they ARE true. Maybe the death of Granny will/is showing Harry that life is too short to allegedly get physically attacked, shit thrown at you, and screamed at all the time. Everything I hear is that she is physically violent with him and I don't think he reciprocates in kind. Also remember that Thomas Markle told him never to lay a hand on her? Well I'm told that that is because when Meghan divorced Trevor, she told Doria he was physically abusive (when really it was the other way around), and Doria told TM Sr that that was the reaaon for the divorce. Anyway. Harry is a prick, and he will never repair the trust he has lost with his family. But no one deserves what he is putting up with. I hope, above all, that he gets out.
Este said…
Secondhandcoke reddit tea 2 and 3:

The rumors I hear are that Harry is starting to process the alleged abuse in this marriage, and he is starting to miss and retroactively evaluate and see the rightness in his family's advice. Maybe this was a psychic representation of that. Or maybe you're starting to subconsciously pick up the cues that the relationship between Harry and Meghan is changing. Or it could be nothing. I think we all wish that dream would come true though.

The rumor is that Harry doesn't want to hurt his family first because he's allegedly quite homesick. Their cold shoulder at the Jubilee Thanksgiving service really stunned him. It made him see the enotional impact his behavior has had on them. More than that, though, are the rumors that he fears he may need them in the rumored likelihood of the marriage ending. I also recently heard that Meghan wants that book out and is mad that Harry is hesitating. That is why there are now rumors if HER publishing a memoir. It's also why she's leaked that she found her lame ass journal at Frogmore, and said that she hasn't signed any kind of NDA. I heard that was a threat to HARRY more than to the Royal Family. Anyway, long story short, their marriage is rumored to be hanging on by a thread and Harry doesn't want to burn is bridge back home. I believe, and this is just me, that the Queen's death will hasten the divorce, but we will see.

@Karla,

Yes, The Queen issued Letters Patent for William’s children (I did mention it up thread 🤗). She did so because he was the direct heir after Charles. Otherwise his children would have been Lady and Earl’s etc. She also made changes to equal rights to the line of succession. So that regardless of gender the first born would be the next heir. 🤗

Princess Charlotte was born before Louis, with the changes to the rules of succession, she held her place (in the line of succession) above Louis after he was born.

I do not acknowledge Twitter as a reliable source of information. This “Isource” is fraudulent. It would not take a crystal ball, pack of tarot cards or even a reporter on the ground with recording devices to ascertain that there was drama behind the scenes when
Mrs. Twunt learned she’d been barred from Balmoral. To this I had to laugh, because she never wanted to go to the queen Scottish castle when she was a working royal, and made an ostentatious show of being too busy partying in Ibiza and at Elton John’s house instead… Even though “Archie“was too young to fly to Scotland— He wasn’t too young to fly to Spain, the south of France or South Africa in the same time period. Allegedly. Now she want to go to Balmoral all of a sudden? Of course.

This assertion that Mrs. Twunt is working with Oprah to get her to the funeral” oozes Twunt’s grandiose PR And plumbs new depths of absurdity. The state funeral of HMTQ is not a “celebrity plus-one” networking opportunity. The RF allowed her to treat her wedding thusly. Oprah was Twunt’s guest on that occasion despite never having met her. The new King will dictate the guest list and he sure as hell will not include any of Twunt’s “friends”. Things are looking dicey that Twunt herself will be permitted into Westminster Abbey. Based on Harry’s extraordinarily brief layover in Scotland, things really aren’t looking favorable for his invitation either. There’s a new CEO in charge. Has Twunt considered that she would be compelled to curtsy to new Princess of Wales? Though if she is invited, I hope they take my suggestion and seat her in the vestibule. If she is not allowed within 100 yards of the royal family, they won’t have to see her not curtsying from there.

If she hurries, she can announce that she’s heavily pregnant again in the next week, necessitating that she sit out the funeral. The further assertion that Granny Doria has packed her bags and rushed to the airport to London is if possible even more ludicrous then the Oprah story. Isn’t Granny Doria needed to stay behind in Montecito to watch the two dolls if they are “parents” are going to be in London for almost two more weeks, Or will they just leave prince Archie in charge of his little sister with the Xbox and a credit card for pizza?

Now that Charles has ascended And with the Sussex behavior only poised to get even worse as if that’s even possible, it is long past time for open conversations about the glaring fact too Long denied: Harry and his wife are both dangerously unstable, not just politically but mentally. Mad as hatters, both of them. Really in dire need of commitment on mental health grounds. How much longer are these two’s delusional world view going to be catered to… Even if they’re paying for it? Hawwy should have been in a conservator ship long ago like Britney Spears, and not been permitted to squander his life and fortune on this toxic woman. M was only a localized dumpster fire until her Royal marriage and its attendant status and wealth gave full poisonous flower to her insanity.

I'm not sure if 'snippy' is the word. I this it was slight annoyance on his part, to be fair the ink stand was in the middle, so in the way, and the table was a bit small. I think we should cut Charles some slack, it was the day of his accession, he'd just made a speech or was about to (I can't remember) and he's grieving deeply and he has a full day's work today so I think he can be forgiven for being a bit irritated.

I'm happy that you appreciated my comment!

Sadly, any great insights I may have into narcs these days comes from having uncovered a new one in my own life. Happily, we're not in a relationship and I can distance myself from his machinations very easily. What's difficult is explaining to those who have to deal with him the exact nature of what they're dealing with. If you haven't had firsthand experience with a narcissist, the stories about them are simply unbelievable. Everyone likes to think that all we need to do is to speak reasonably with them, to show them we genuinely care, or even to let them hit rock bottom at last. The idea that narcs never will learn empathy seems outrageous to a normal person.

This is partly why a lot of regular people are willing to hear * out on the BRF. For them, the drama and fallout of Megxit is actually evidence against the BRF -- because no normal human being would do all that over something that isn't true. And they're right that no normal human being would. But if they've never dealt with a narc, they don't understand what * is.

Karla. i think you are right. do all of the title changes working royal stuff all at the same time. and sneak what happens to the sussexes in the middle of it buried among the details. he will wait. the next 10 days in mostly about the queen and continuation of the monarchy. they won’t like what will happen but if it’s a broader stroke of the pen it’s a stretch to say they are singled out.

did anyone notices how devastated camila looked the last two days. is it mourning for the queen. sorrow and sympathy for her husband or just overwhelmed about what is about to happen in their lives. true emotion on her face. very sad for her.

the uk will be undergoing some real stresses on the energy front. KC and the Wales(love saying that) have a great opportunity to be like the queen. hunker down. close up palaces temporarily. keep thermostats down. provide event or funding for people to help small business and families who are face if astronomical energy costs. show we are in it together. then in spring getting through the challenges. celebrate with coronation and investiture and street parties.

I believe the Queen's coffin will pass by my house tomorrow morning. I will watch the sad, historical event on behalf of all the Nutties who can't be there.

Good gracious. The Wales' probably HAD to walk with them to keep them from being booed and egged. They certainly don't look as though they wish to be adjacent to them.

I'm so glad that William is capable of ambulating by himself without getting lost. Poor Harry. Likely to wander off without that restraining claw.
* may be on her best behaviour but experience tells me it won't last. Perhaps she's there on sufferance, just until H cuts and runs back to the family. The Oprah report is extraordinary - didn't she learn the lesson of not being able to choose her own seat at the wedding? She's someone else who needs cutting down to size.

Or as my in-laws would say, she needs to have `her gas put to a peep'.

ugh. but gotta say. magnanimous of william. kate’s not having it. but i wonder if the curtsied/bowed when the first saw the wales. so i guess the mrs did stay. a few clips has her demanding things of a pa. perhaps they are putting up a good front to kick them in the pants later. now is a time for mourning. the wife looks uncomfortable around the wales. didn’t her acting classes show how to do the empathetic grieving face

perhaps if the screaming match were true william is extending an olive branch to his brother. if there is trouble in paradise perhaps a door is open to let him come home.

Oh I don't doubt the whiny ginger wants to bolt home; note that his reasons are down to himself alone; his marriage is not happy, and he will need his family if he divorces. No mention of being sorry, just making sure he doesn't 'hurt' them so that he has a place to land.

A pox on him. He's as bad as *; worse, really. She may have piled on and encouraged his ugly traits, but all the nastiness had to be there before he met her.

I don't care if he comes back, but he'd better be given the Andrew treatment, and they'd best not ever trust him.

I'm watching the walkabout, and I think we can forget any loss of titles. The crowd seems fine with them and my fear is now that they're going to move back under the guise of "starting over again", and we'll never be rid of them.

Enbrethiliel: Of course! She was sabotaging H's effort to get there, making sure he'll miss the plane.

Narcs'll do their damnedest to sabotage anything that is really significant/important to their victims. Mine attacked at my wedding to her brother (now deceased) and years later, when I had assumed she's been successfully treated for whatever `mental illness' she had, at my painting-degree show where I was desperate not to be marked down a class.

That's when my eyes were opened.

Other than a show of solidarity I’m unsure what to make of the foursome show. I just hope and pray it absolutely does not give the despicable pair fodder to sell. 😔

I'm guessing we're seeing more of Catherine's kind heart in the invitation to join the walkabout. Or maybe the ginger was given such short shrift at Balmoral that William is feeling a bit guilty. Who knows? It's mighty annoying to see, that's for darn sure.

@Este: Thanks for posting the seconhandcoke. I, myself, do not believe the marriage is rocky. Massively unhappy and dysfunctional, but no divorce in sight. Maggot gets to be on a world-wide stage for the time being.

The Wales and Sukkits together? William did not make eye contact with Hairy or Maggot; Kate certainly didn't make eye contact. However, Hairy was looking at William, hoping to get his attention. Unsuccessful. They rode in the same car, separate rows of seats, I'm sure. There wouldn't be anything except for very very small talk.

What was that bulge on Maggot's dress on her arse? Did she have a recording device up her arse? Or, was she wearing cheap polyester? I'm going with cheap polyester. She could barely walk in those heels, and had to hang onto Hairy.

This show of solidarity is for Charles. No need for public displays of family troubles.
It gives the Sukkits a false sense of belonging, and more importantly, what kind of $$$ are they going to get?
That's uppermost in Maggot's mind, of course.
According to Lady C’s latest video there was chaos going on behind the scenes l, inasmuch individuals were trying to spin stories of them being there before and when the Queen died etc. This was the reason (and after consultation with others) why she broke the news when The Queen had died. We have conclude that Maggot (Mole?)along with her mouthpiece friends were ready to spin stories if Lady C and the palace hadn’t put paid to Maggot and Moles plan to arrive together. 😟

Was that Wedding at Windsor a Fairy Tale one, - yes, but it was the Bride who was the Bad Fairy.

But while the bad fairy in the ill-fitting dress thought she would get to lay the final curse on the legacy of the Queen, she didn't count on the two good fairies standing in the breach. As in the original fairytale, the good fairies couldn't completely undo the bad fairy's curse, but they had the power to change it. The good fairy Camilla had the gift of erasing smears and winning hearts through humility, sincerity and steadfastness; she would bring that to the reign of the next King. And the good fairy Catherine had the gifts of class, glamor and a motherly heart with room for all the children of the realm; she would bring these to the next Crown Prince.

Evil always thinks it has had the last word when it gets to make a show and steal all the attention. But goodness moves quickly behind the scenes -- like a duck's legs paddling underwater -- and saves the day as quietly but as surely as winter turns into spring.

I'm hoping this is to make the Suckits feel secure and think that they have won, only to find out that a letters patent was created and their test tube babies are are no longer allowed to be prince or princess, and that Meghan is banned from the coronation.

I would love it if they are knocked out of the line of succession as well, so here's hoping.

If, (and I truly hope it is not the case) if, Harry and money hungry Meghan are given their desired half in and half out, then I will truly loose all affection for the monarchy.

Camilla does look sad and almost upset, like she's dreading something, but it's Sophie who's looking completely and utterly heartbroken. It hurts to look at her. Eugenie and Zara also looked very emotional. Anne carrying her self magnificently, as always! She is Phillip's daughter, through and through. I'm probably the only person on the planet who was glad to see Andrew.

Lady Louise has grown to be an utterly lovely young lady. She has a very sweet aura around her. Bea and Eug were born to it, and Catherine has the glamour of it, but Louise is the most "princessy" looking one of them all, ironically. She has that fairy tale princess innocence and sweetness. I hope KC brings her into the fold when she's old enough, but she might not care to do it.

Wow, William & Catherine, being royal is all about self-control, baby, & they've got it. You just know that they can barely stand the sight of Twit & Twat, but other than absolutely no eye contact with Twat, & barely acknowledging Twit, there is nothing in their demeanor to show that W & C are fussed by anything. They are unfailingly gracious to the members of the public they greet. They seem relaxed & calm. That's thoroughbred behavior.

Twit & Twat look as though they've been read the riot act, & look ill at ease. They should be grateful they were given the protection of the Prince & Princess of Wales to spare them from the boos they would have gotten otherwise. The English are so polite, Twat is nervously offering her hand to the members of the public, & the public is too polite to rebuff her, but they don't offer their hands first, as they do to the P & P of W. It was amusing to watch Twat struggle stay in the place that she was obviously told to stay, behind the Prince & Princess of Wales. Twit & Twat don't look happy. I would love to know what they've been told behind the scenes. The 'real royals' look like the bigger, better & more 'royal' persons. That's how to be royal. Twat has no clue. It would be a disaster if the two chancers, Twit & Twat ever ascended to the throne.

Everyone here has described their feelings and insights about the Queen’s passing so eloquently. Thank you all. Your comments have very much helped me with my sadness. It does feel as if a beloved relative has passed on. I almost expect the Queen to skydive in and say, “Only joking. I’m still with you.”

The photos of the Prince and Princess of Wales with the dastardly pair are actually making me nauseous. And, seeing on Twitter that * is merching the earrings she wore on the walkabout is infuriating — and completely unacceptable. When William graciously asked the pair to join the walkabout, I don’t think he expected immediate merching on Meghan’s Mirror to be how the pair thanked him.

I wonder what obnoxious thing * said to Catherine as they all exited the vehicles that Catherine had to walk to one side, as far away from * as possible.

In conclusion - I would love to know what was said/ implied for this walkabout. I have no clue who instigated the scene, only that William "made an 11th hour offer."

It appeared to make people happy. I do not believe for one minute that the breach is over and all is well with the world. This was to appease their father; it has to be.
This is so sad. Even FNC present made the comment that the problems stemmed from *. I do not understand how 6/5 can stand in front of the public, let only his brother, after those statement to the press about W: drawing a line and expecting (demanding) certain actions must happen, days before the death of HM. The queen passing away is extremely sad,
I appreciate the queen was Harry's grandmother, but megan isn't really part of the family, she's just the wife, she's not welcome in the UK,
Got to give it to her though, she's not here to mourn the queen, she's making sure she's part of this historic time,
I give up on the royal family, our support throughout megans rampages, keeps getting smacked back in our faces that she always welcomed back! Enough is enough for me! 🤬
This is very perturbing and puzzling. It makes no sense at all. That Cut interview... the threats, then trotting around looking like they are representing the Royals (which maybe they are). I am wondering if something was agreed upon for after the Queen's passing. Something not told IF they get to do or be (whatever). I speculate on this because of that story that H was waiting until after the Queen's passing to release one of his tell-all books. Something rotten in the state of Denmark for this to be allowed.

Also, hard to know what to believe right after Lady C says the brothers are not talking and that * wasn't allowed up in Scotland, temper tantrum etc. Yesterday I was high on King Charles, today not so much.
I predict that if the Queen has left Harry a generous inheritance the Sussexes will end their war against the Royal Family. * would still end up divorcing him and getting half of everything he possesses but no more “truth bombs” from either of them would rain from the sky.

At first disgusted. But after thinking about it more....

This was the Prince of Wales taking the dogs for a walk on their leashes.
They were only with there because he said they could be.

He didn't invite them until only an hour before, eliminating opportunity for their pr to get in there and spin a story. Also forced her to go without bronzer. She had to go as a white person this time. How humiliating.

It was clear that they had been told no wrong moves.

It also took away the opportunity for them to do a solo walk about later. This way they had to go with the Wales's, and be the lesser people. No celebrity walk later.

The Princess of Wales was not having it today. She was not gonna even breathe the same air as the Harkles.
When smugszy did glance at her with a smirk, the Princess of Wales looked right back at her and shut her down a la Sophie.

This was a smart move. Short leash.

Now smugsy has been caught on camera bullying a staff member. Then caught herself and tried to be all sweet when she saw the camera.

You'd think in light of everything she might try to constrain herself. But it's so much her 1st instinct that she can't help herself

I watched a video of the walkabout, and this is what I noticed:

William was in charge. He interacted with the duo when telling them what to do (we look at the flowers here; now we cross the road and look at the flowers on the other side; now you go there and talk to those people ...). They meekly obeyed him. William even took charge in driving the car when they left.

Catherine had no interaction with the duo that I saw.

The Prince and Princess of Wales interacted genuinely with the crowd. Catherine shared a story of telling her children that great grannie had died. The crowd were really appreciating the interactions, especially the children. Aides stepping in to take flowers or gifts from the couple was a smooth operation as if they do it every day.

The crowds interacting with TBW were polite but not enthusiastic. (Some looked downright disgruntled and looked longingly across the way to the Prince and Princess of Wales.) She mostly behaved herself but she never does well with any interactions that are not centred around talking about herself. Why the heck did she refuse to hand over the bunch of flowers she took to the aide? Why does she always have to be so contrary?

I did not watch all of the footage so could not gauge how the crowds reacted to the hapless Prince, but he was brought up on this stuff so I did notice he was actually talking to the people, like the Prince and Princess of Wales were doing.

The tabloids are all over the place with 'the fab four back together', 'reconciliation' and similar nonsense. Nope, that is not what I saw. Consider that the duo would not have been there at all of they had not been invited by the Prince of Wales. How very far the mighty big egos have fallen.

For those who are still feeling despondent ... have a look at the short clip above.

I'm still looking for a clip of him interacting with the crowd. He used to be a natural and popular, and it his grandmother who died so I would expect the crowd's response to him to be somewhat warmer. (The crowd interacting with the Wales's is very different, all wanting to shake hands, handing over bunches of flowers and a teddy bear, lovely interactions between Catherine and children.)
@Martha & D1:
I look at it like this - to have clamped down on the now, with everyone's eyes on them, especially the eyes of those who cannot comprehend what narcs do, (and who trot out the cliches - `it `takes 2 to tango'- `you're over-reacting'- `you're paranoid - you're imagining it ') it looks bad, petty and seems to provides a valid reason for the narcs claiming victimisation. That's the bind we're in and which narcs exploit.

Those of us who have been on the receiving end of narcissistic abuse and have been disbelieved, accused of making it it up, recognise it instantly for what it is though. We are in the minority - a great pity in this situation.

IMO William was just acting in a professional capacity when he invited them to walkabout and greet the crowds. I do not believe for a second he is forgetting their disloyalty.
Sandie said…
My opinion: Should she have been there on that walkabout? No. At Balmoral, Mike, Edo, Jack did not join the family to have a look at the tributes and talk to the crowd. The duo are not working Royals (as Sophie is; Tim sometimes accompanies and supports his wife, who is the daughter of the late Queen). But, the hapless Prince would not have done it without his wife and the two were not at Balmoral with the rest of the family (he could have stayed and TBW could have joined him), so this was the only opportunity for the hapless Prince to follow the tradition of viewing the tributes and greeting the crowds, this time after the death of his grandmother. That he did so under the supervision of William turned out to be a good decision as William was firmly in control.

As jarring and distasteful as it is to see the traitors with William and Kate, I believe the new PW made the correct decision in including them in their walkabout. Imagine the multitude of screaming headlines in the tabloids, the endless, gossipy chatter of talking heads on TV and radio, if twit and twat had been excluded and remained penned up in Frogmore Cottage just yards from where W and C greeted well-wishers outside Windsor Castle.

William may have taken one for the Queen and for his father, but that does not mean that the Sussexes will be welcomed back into the bosom of the Royal Family. In the first photo of the couples I noticed that * is casting a sheepish glance at Catherine. It is the first time I have ever seen such an expression on her face. I’m sure it will stand as a fleeting rarity, but to me it is telling. * knows she slandered her sister-in-law on Oprah and bullied her young niece during her dress fitting prior to the wedding. I admit I was gob smacked to see the Twunts prancing around the posies after the tears and drama of Mr Twunt’s half assed flight to Scotland and his 12-hour stay.

I look forward to the BLG’s analysis. Here’s what I saw:

1. The 2 couples filed in line in order of precedence: The Prince of Wales, Princess of Wales, Mr Twunt of California, with his wife bringing up the rear. But no one puts Baby Got Back at the end of the line. William and Catherine move to head to put as big as possible between them and the Twunts. Immediately, Harry’s wife snuck past him into third position while pawing his back as per usual. As the Twunts closed the gap, William fell back to act as a human barrier between Sméagol and Catherine. There was some gesturing and a couple of near passes, but two couples did not speak other than possibly a few words from W to C. I do not think the thing shall be allowed to address Catherine or stand near her, ever. Media speculation about olive branches and rifts healing have been greatly exaggerated.

2. Beelzebub looked appropriate for once in her life. Since Black is her favorite color, we can assume that she had that dress with her anyway. It’s highly doubtful that she would have packed a funeral dress ‘just in case’ as Royals are taught to do, because the only thing she would’ve been thinking about was herself and all of the attention she would be getting. My bed is on that being the dress she had planned to wear to the Well Child awards. She may have sent a flunky out for tights however. She wore her jersey today for the first time in my recollection since May 2019 and her first engagement post marriage. For the very first time since we’ve known her, she was dressed in keeping with what everyone else was wearing, i.e., appropriate.

Charles has been the Prince of Wales since I was three years old, so this title shuffle will take some getting used to.

Although I’m surprised to see them so soon after the new kings message about them pursuing their lives overseas… Charles and William probably felt, in consultation, that. H&M would derive more press attention for being excluded than if they were matter-of-factly included. Had the Sussexes not already been in London, they would have had to view the floral tributes separately. This gesture does not mean reconciliation, restoration, or even forgiveness. It means tolerance for the space of this short to be trying week. Despite all the hurt and the treachery, King Charles has decided to allow the renegades inclusion as ‘family’ as the world mourns. I suppose this means that Harry will stand vigil with the other princes and they both will be at the service. Had they not already been in London, this might’ve been a different conversation, and Harry might have been told to stay away until the night before his grandmother’s funeral.

It is what it is… The RF is taking the high road. But once Harry buggers back off to the States, I think the drawbridge will be up for good. In the meantime, they look magnanimous in contrast to the Sussex pettiness. They probably asked of themselves: what would Mama/Granny have wanted and done that.

God save the King and the new Prince of Wales. The Crown always wins.

Whether or not this will stop some of the PR puff pieces coming from the despicable pairs camp I have no idea. We’ll see. 🥴

I also hope that anyone who is entitled to wear military/royal regalia at the funeral does so. IDK whether H can wear any uniform now; even though he gave up his leadership roles he is still a veteran....but he will look far less magnificent.
Apparently, it was the Waleses who made the approach.

Let's see how their magnanimous gesture is repaid. Anything other than this would have seemed petty & a worse move.

This should make the Suckexes look even worse if they continue to trash his family. Can't be pleasant for the Wales, but it might work.

This foursome walk-about is a tad worrisome, but not totally. On an up note, I think I saw William, the PoW, effectively "scarf" *, AGAIN today (sans scarf, ha ha). She kept trying to insert herself between Wm. & Haz (as the ladies were obviously placed on the outside to prevent any conflict, but * kept jumping into the middle to try to speak to William, who pointedly kept ignoring her. And then Wm conveniently turned each time and walked away. AND the crowd looked on, and gave * the cold shoulder numerous times when she attempted to shake hands (of course, a few people didn't, but that's to be expected). IMO, they'd have been roundly booed at any other occasion. *'s behavior was such, today, that I expect she will be disinvited to any further ceremonies, as she should be. APPALLING is the only word for it. I'm giving KC he benefit of the doubt here, I think he has their number, and is playing it down the middle, as his mother would want him to. If nothing else, KC is giving them all the rope they need to hang themselves, and the best outcome is she goes, and he stays and gets some help.

Once again, the lovely Princess of Wales (how cool is that to type?) never put an eyelash wrong, she was fantastic, and the crowd loved her, and she has such a natural affinity for people, especially children, that it was a thing of beauty to see the * fail at copying her, live and in person. Total Smackdown, today. No PR in the world can clean up this mess for */5. None.

Today Big Willie showed us what a future monarch looks like. Whatever we think about it, Harry is his family and the optics of both brothers uniting for the Queen was great. It's how royalty are supposed to do mourning of a sovereign monarch. Meghan was always gonna be there given who she's married to but Big Willie just upstage them all with this move. Very well played.

It broke here in the US on the DM site that the joint walkabout was at the request of Charles. William extended the other, but someone from the harkle camp (OS?) said the invite came at the 11th hour.
Charles/ then William was correct that politeness and manners supercede snark. This was a pre-emptive move to get ahead of the harkle PR. I do look forward to reading the spin. IMHO - Harry was not acting. * was, except when she was glaring at C in a few photos, and telling off an aide who requested the flowers she was holding.

I do not for one minute believe the brothers are 'together again.' There is too much that has been said, accused, and lied about.

I agree that the images of the two couples walking together are not what we wanted, but the latest headline states that Charles called William to ask him to do this. Charles is sentimental and experiencing deep grief and a newfound fulfillment - a mix of emotions that must be tumultuous. He wants to do things the way his Mama would have, so I can understand that he feels it’s important to make the first step toward reconciliation, especially over the next 10 days. If Harry wants out of his marriage, he is being shown that it is possible to start over and now is the time.

We know that * will not have the wherewithal to behave for 10 days. The alleged truce will not last long. One look at the published photos will have her raging. There is a powerful message (probably unintended) in seeing the couples side by side, with their obvious and striking differences in full view. The Princess of Wales looks approachable, stunning and natural, while the Prince of Wales (I love typing this) looks handsome, impeccable and statesmanlike. Harry doesn’t resemble any of those adjectives. He is always uncomfortable, fidgety and distracted. * looks sloppy, fake and angry. She was caught off guard by William’s invitation, so she is suspicious of the motives. In addition, she may have actually received a dressing down for her atrocious behavior on Thursday - let’s hope so. They might all play nice right now, but if the Deep Sixes go back to California and resume their childish behavior, they will be seen as spectacular failures, and rightfully so.

I don't know.

If KC was behind the idea of the walkabout, then it says something about his views of how real royalty behave in difficult circumstances.

He has had years of watching his mother respond. He learned from the best.

As for the idea of not packing a funeral dress, why not go shopping for one? What else do they have to do while they wait for the funeral?

I guess Charles hit the ground running, ordering his sons to do this. I'm going to break ranks here and re-affirm I think this was a brilliant move and probably one that honors the wishes of HMTQ. I think this is one of those times where the monarchy is rising to the occasion of putting on the funeral of the century. This is way bigger than Meghan and she looked cowed, subdued and yes completely out of her depth. You know it had to be tough as nails for Meghan to be out with Kate, who was just given the title she always coveted. But Meghan was always going to be part of this, like it or not, but King Charles is deciding how it will be done. See this is the perfect way to contain her, at least for the funeral of the century. Well played, Charles and really the only good move he had at his disposal here.

I predict that if the Queen has left Harry a generous inheritance the Sussexes will end their war against the Royal Family. * would still end up divorcing him and getting half of everything he possesses but no more “truth bombs” from either of them would rain from the sky.
.............
The Queen was very smart. Who knows how she left her money to H? Maybe there are conditions attached or the money is left in trusts and can't be accessed for 10 years or something like that. I'm sure she and her financial advisors must have taken every possible precaution to make sure * couldn't get her claws on the inheritance.

There is one thing in the story of the meltdown that bothers me: how would anyone know that she had a meltdown and what she said?

They made it up. But it sounds plausible.

I wondered that myself. I asked myself how in the world was it possible for somebody to know about a private conversation *unless* they were ready to go, people were there to carry luggage, etc., and full-volume vituperative screeching commenced. Future Housewives cast member doesn't strike me as the kind of person to calmly say "Deep Sixed, my dearest love, we need to speak in private!" and then get into a whispered hissing match. I don't think she has sufficient volume or self control for that. Maybe the person that called with the news that she was not invited had the bad fortune to hear her lambasting Deep Sixed on the other end of the phone conversation. Maybe Deep Sixed was called from the plane wondering why he wasn't there yet, and they heard her calling him ugly names at full volume.

But, yeah, probably made up.

Honestly, the dastardly duo must have informed them that they would make their appearance outside. Who could stop them? After all, as the media reported, PoW would do that to Kate. So H&M thought they could do it too.
So PoW went over there and put them on the line.
MM did not take a mourning dress on this trip. However, she is wearing a dark, sober dress and socks! ( Socks)
And all the media said: Prince and Princess of Wales with Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Oh! Kate, Princess and MM Duchess. How beautiful! Who's on top now MM (Must have thought PoW)
To be fair the difference in the power dynamic between the Prince & Princess of Wales and little 'ol private citizens Harry and Meghan who they are being kind to is profound.

She couldn't even behave for 40 minutes. All over Twitter are pictures of her mooning at Prince William. Along with the video of her snapping at an aid.

I did love how she smirked at Catherine, and Catherine just give it right back to her.

So exceedingly disappointing to see the papers for tomorrow are pictures of the 2 grandsons and their wives. Instead of this historical transition transition to a new sovereign. This should have been pictures of King Charles.

IMO William was just acting in a professional capacity when he invited them to walkabout and greet the crowds. I do not believe for a second he is forgetting their disloyalty.

Spot on Doctor! The P&P of Wales were both utterly cool, collected, full of grace, and professional, and as someone else said above, "took one for the team". A beautiful gesture in support of both Dad, personally, and as THE KING. The official RF are all to be congratulated for the ultimate display of class and decorum, under such sad (and sordid, as it were, with the *'s involved) circumstances.

Some stray observations. I think #5 was wearing his lifts again, as he did at the Diana Statue unveiling. How juvenile! * is incapable of proper behavior, I think this may have been a "test"....in order to attend the funeral or any further official events. IMO, total failure. We'll likely not see them together again at any "official functions". I also believe Haz knows all of this, he was overly figit-ey today. He's seen the brick wall at the end of this tunnel, and although there's some light there, he knows it's for him and him alone. I expect she'll decamp all by herself. We shall see. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.

I've tried to read through the comments, but couldn't find a mention of what was reported on another blog. Twit & Twat were going to do a walkabout on their own, so the Prince of Wales had to step in & take charge. This sounds so presumptuous on the part of T & T that it could be true! Incredible.

She did look unusually cowed, although as some have pointed out, she did try a few of her usual tricks. Other blogs & twitter feeds have shown Twat hissing at a royal aide when he tried to remove some flowers that someone had given her, as he had for the Princess of Wales. I guess she wanted to keep them to show someone didn't hate her. LOL!

There is also some video of her trying desperately to make goo-goo eyes at the Prince of Wales. He was avoiding her as if she were one of the Gorgons. She really is nuts.

@Hikari, today's posts are some of your best.

@WBBM, your 60th anniversary outfit sounds lovely. I always love wearing something that I've always enjoyed & have had a long time. The other day I got a compliment on a 40 year old blouse!

Ladies, & any gentlemen, it's been fun to be here today. Things are looking pretty interesting re: T & T. They did not look best pleased today, something is happening behind the scenes, & it might not be what T & T want.

not sure what reading are for Church of England this weekend but the Catholic Church has the prodigal son reading. so perhaps PW was the better person although courtiers spilled the beans that it wasn’t just yes we will come. it was 45 minutes of negotiations. the new prince of wales i suspect is ok with leaking some od this and i am ok with that. gives us a glimpse of what the BRF is dealing with.

I doubt that The Queen left any large bequests to anyone but Charles, because it would be heavily taxed. Some personally significant personal items would be all I would think she'd leave; maybe small bequests for staff like Angela Kelley, who must also being feeling very upset.

Totally OT, but I hope Charles will take a leaf out of other European Royal houses, and pool the jewelry. The Windsors have so many pieces that are seldom seen, and it's a shame they stay hidden away. There should certainly be things that are only for the Queens and Consorts, but I would certainly like to see Sophie in something other than that godforsaken aquamarine one she has.

Thank you all for soothing my fears about the grifters. What little I could stand watching made it seem like they got a very warm welcome from the crowd, and that's what really startled me. I'll have to watch all the footage. Catherine did absolutely look like she was trying to avoid *.

Rebecca said…
I only just watched the video footage. *’s refusal to hand over the one bouquet she was handed to the aide was so obviously phony theatrics on her part. She appeared to be pointing to the hapless soul who gifted the flowers and saying something like “that peasant over there shoved these into my hands, and in order to play the role of a decent, caring human being for the cameras I am determined to cling to them until I am out of sight of the crowd and can fling them into a trash receptacle.”
@GWAH

sorry, I mangled that post. My sister that lives in Oregon paid half her inheritance to her ex husband in their divorce.

I read on twitter that there were 45 minutes of negotiation before the deep 6's agreed to the walkabout, so I think it's improbable that the twat wasn't invited. Otherwise, the twit wouldn't be able to leave the house, as happened with the trip to Balmoral.

I just read quotes from an interview Lady Colin Campbell gave to Dan Wootton. She says the four were meant to do the walkabout together but Meghan did something that is upsetting members of the family—do you think she is referring to hanging on for dear life to that single bouquet someone gave her?:

It was supposed to be the four of them together, not the dog and pony show of Meghan and Harry, the focus is on the Queen.

"It is only a matter of time before people realise the stunt that she has pulled, there is genuine outrage behind the scenes that she would have done this.

"This is about our beloved Queen, this is about King Charles III who is going to be a wonderful monarch.

"About the Prince of Wales, it is outrageous that Meghan has done what she has done but hopefully nobody else has noticed it but the few people in certain circles have noticed it."

I do not trust * for anything.
* must be seen as a victim - poor me, the family I never had, I had to work my way through college, and ....the R card.
Her behavior today was a shell of the persona she has displayed when the four of them have been together in past times. She was demure, quiet, almost dignified (the glares caught on film, + the diatribe with the aide offering to take the proferred flowers). She has her own truth of situations, and I fully expect a victim story from her fortnight in the UK.

I really want to believe that someone - Harry, William, Anne, or a high placed courtier, has issued an ultimatum based on what happened as to the demands made by H to his brother, and then the left behind moment on Thursday. When it comes out in the press that KC told them she could not accompany H, and that is was not a Scoobie-Doo jumping the gun, and issuing an errata statement, then you know there was a scene at Windsor.

A Quiet Interlude

Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

As Time Passes and We Get Older

I started thinking about how time passes when reading some of the articles about the birthday.  It was interesting to think about it from the different points of view.  Besides, it kind of fits as a follow up the last post (the whole saga of can the two brothers reunite). So there is the requisite article about how he will be getting all kinds of money willed to him from his great-grandmother.  There were stories about Princess Anne as trustee (and not allowing earliest access to it all).  Whether or not any or all of this is true (there was money for him and/or other kids) has been debated with claims she actually died owing money with the Queen paying the debts to avoid scandal.  Don't know but I seem to remember that royal estates are shrouded from the public so we may not (ever) know. However, strange things like assisting in a book after repeated denials have popped up in legal papers so nothing is ever really predicable.   We are also seein...

The Opening Act of New Adventures in Retail

I keep thinking things will settle down to the lazy days of spring where the weather is gorgeous and there is a certain sense of peacefulness.  New flowers are coming out. increasing daylight so people can be outside/play and thinking gardening thoughts.  And life is quiet.  Calm. And then something happens like a comet shooting across the sky.  (Out of nowhere it arrives and then leaves almost as quickly.)   An update to a law suit.  Video of the website is released (but doesn't actually promote any specific product which can be purchased from the website).  A delay and then jam is given out (but to whom and possible more importantly - who did not make the list?).  Trophies almost fall (oops).  Information slips out like when the official date of beginning USA residency.  (now, isn't that interesting?) With them, it's always something in play or simmering just below the surface.  The diversity of the endeavors is really ...
