I am astonished that she is now saying, through Kennedy, that the entire monarchy is racist and that she was driven away by that racism ... and he is going along with that. The pain that he is causing his family for a trashy grifter (in my opinion) is inexplicable.

Their Kennedy event is after the Earthshot Prize and visit by the Prince and Princess of Wales. But I am of the opinion that she will ramp up these evil accusations to spoil that event and visit.

Racism had nothing to do with Megxit. She was an American, who complained about learning the national anthem and the diffuculty of the citizenship test, who behaved badly, refused to fit in, and stole millions before she ran off to California.

There is much chatter on social media about the marriage being in trouble and him heading back to the UK. Nope, he is completely committed to her and the awful things she says and does.

Surely someone can stop them?

Both Harry and * are total ungrateful , deceitful b*.tches. When Prince Phillip died, they wrote via Archewell a “Thank you for your service” message. That was it!

Harry's hatred for his family has been the saddest revelation in this whole mess. I've reviewed hundreds of photos of the Ginger Tw*t from his infancy to 2015 and, with a few notable exceptions where he was visibly throwing a strop in the picture, it's noteworthy how much happier and healthier he looked in the bosom of his family. Lots and lots of pictures of him with Dad, laughing, embracing, doing father-son stuff like riding bikes together (which incidentally he told Oprah with a straight face that he never did). Charles tried really hard once he was a single parent to be there for his boys, as much as his position would allow.

Harry's mind is diseased . . damaged from years of substance abuse (allegedly) and whatever congenital deficiencies he's got. Maybe one of these deficiencies is memory loss. * was able to reprogram him in the space of a couple of years with the false memories to support her narrative, and wiped out more than 30 years' worth of positive memories that he'd made before her. She cannot allow any Before Her memories to exist untainted because that threatens her ultimate control.

Charles seems to be moving swiftly to excise the treacherous Sussex branch from the Royal tree, declaring that their lives were overseas now and making Edward and Sophie counsellors. Harry's book is going to hurt, but on some level his family has to regard it as the ramblings of a severely mentally compromised man. Hazza is really Not There any more, an empty stoned vessel to be filled up with all his wife's vitriol. Though the chip on his shoulder about his relative place in the Firm he brought into the marriage.

House of Lords has just voted overwhelming in favour of removing Dookie and Andrew as Counsellors of State. There are three proposals; the King gave support for adding Anne and Edward as CoS.

I'll post references as it is reported in the media. This info comes from the live debate in Parliament.

Hapless Dookie is not ever returning to the UK. He will take this is an attack and become a sworn enemy of the UK. The duo do not respond well to stuff like this.

I will always remember that there is a family hurting at the centre of this drama - two families actually.

In that video of them gushing over Elton John and claiming Diana as theirs, is it my imagination or does she 'switch off' when she is not talking or posing as 'so in love'?

That door behind them has Archwell on it. I suspect that it is a part of the house that they have sectioned off as their shared office space. I will see if I can find photos of the house when it was for sale and make a match. The doors just do not ring a bell for me, but the colour of the walls does.

My apologies. This is an accurate summing up of the debate in the House if Lords:

'overall comments were positive about the change and very positive about adding the Princess Royal and the Earl of Wessex to the Counsellors of State. Some lords brought up removing Harry and Andrew, one lord brought up adding Catherine and others asked questions about the power and functions of the counsellors of state as well as when they should be delegated. It seems though that removing Harry and Andrew would complicate the bill and they seemed keen on just doing what the King asked and not adding anything else to the bill. It now goes to committee on Wednesday.

Re. the counsellors of State . .

I think Charles's course is the best one. His intent in adding Edward and Anne is clear, but it gracefully skirts anything so tawdry as 'removal' for the errant two who cannot be used by the Crown in any capacity. I'm sure Andrew was used in the past (such as when he was dispatched to Australia to apologize for the Sussex debacle) . .but to my knowledge, Hazmat has never been called upon to stand in for the Queen these last 17 years. He was in the Army, and now he's in America. How can he possibly deputize for Charles from California and what would he possibly be good for?

He has not been officially removed, and he's lucky that he retains his place in the LoS or still gets to be styled Prince Harry. He needs to STFU. Not that he will.

Counsellors of State Bill [HL]
Debated on Monday 21 November 2022

Some points I found funny.

16h16
Baronesa Jones de Moulsecoomb
rebel baroness (somehow anti-monarchist), mistakenly mentioned Harry as “the Duke of Suffolk. Serious!

4.34pm
Baroness Smith of Basildon

Also called Harry the Duke of Suffolk.
....

Lord True respond to Baroness Jones of Moulsecoomb...

"I accept, of course, that the noble Baroness, Lady Jones of Moulsecoomb, is entitled to her view. I am sure that, as and when the Green Party forms a Government, it will not only abolish the monarchy but join with the view of Sir Keir Starmer on abolishing your Lordships’ House.
...
Quoting the PsoW and act of regency 1937-1953

"A strong candidate for the role of Counsellor of State must be the present Princess of Wales. She will be a Counsellor of State when her husband eventually succeeds to the throne. Presumably, if the throne is vacated before Prince George is 18, the Princess of Wales will be designated as the regent-in-waiting. Therefore, it would be very sensible, and give her some practice in the job, if the Princess of Wales was added to this list. I dare say that someone at the Palace will be reading this debate"
...
That was what really interested me.

"the Royal Household has confirmed that, in practice, working members of the Royal Family will be called on to act as Counsellors of State. As he acknowledged, the legislation already contains provisions whereby Counsellors of State are excepted from duties if they are *overseas* I hope that addresses his concern"

a) They are considering excluding Harry as a Councilor of State based on the Act (subsection (2A) of this section) which addresses the possibility
exclude a person absent from the UK and
disqualify her from being a State Counsellor? I'd like to

b)When KCIII in his first speech as King quote the word "overseas" to H&M, was he referring to the laws governing the act of regency for royals living overseas?

From the Telegraph:

Harry and Meghan’s so-called ‘moral courage’ is an affront to true heroism
The Sussexes are egotists who merely swapped a life of dreary duty for a uniquely self-serving existence – that doesn’t make them ‘brave’

By Celia Walden

When you think of great British heroes, who springs to mind? There are the big names: the leaders who defended the nation over the centuries and shaped our nation, the crusaders for social justice and equal rights who fought to make the country fairer, and the innovators and scientists who have helped improve, prolong and save the lives of millions. Queen Elizabeth II, Winston Churchill, Emmeline Pankhurst, Admiral Nelson, Charles Darwin, Alan Turing, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole. The list goes on.

Then there are the quiet men and women of honour. The ones whose acts of bravery astound us daily. Take 24-year-old Jordan Gatley from Sandbach in Cheshire, who was killed fighting for Ukrainian armed forces along with 36-year-old father-of-three, Scott Sibley, from Lincolnshire. Or what about 25-year-old Benny Reeves from Clacton, who ran into a neighbour’s burning home last month to save a woman asleep inside.

Or do you think of Meghan and Harry, who, according to Robert F Kennedy’s daughter, were so “heroic” in their stance against the “structural racism” at the heart of our Royal family – and, make no mistake, this country – that they deserve to be honoured at the NYC Ripple of Hope Gala on December 6, alongside President Volodymyr Zelensky?

“They went to the oldest institution in UK history and told them what they were doing wrong,” Kerry Kennedy said at the weekend, “that they couldn’t have structural racism within the institution; that they could not maintain a misunderstanding about mental health.” Referencing her late father’s visit to apartheid South Africa in 1966, she went on to explain how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex showed a rare “moral courage” by challenging the Royal family’s “power structure”.

Perhaps Kerry would benefit from revisiting the dictionary definition of “heroism”: “putting others first, even at your own peril”. And then explain to the US luminaries who have paid up to $1 million (£850,000) to attend the event precisely what it was that these two “imperilled” by abdicating royal responsibilities and hot footing it to California.

Rebecca said…
Let’s consider the Sussexes’ “brave” sacrifices. They swapped a life of dreary duty for a uniquely self-serving existence in an £11 million Montecito mansion, hobnobbing with the kind of A-list celebrities they chose to fill the St George’s Chapel with on their wedding day. An existence that was only possible thanks to the royal titles they have so valiantly fought to keep for themselves and their children. Never mind that those titles are now tainted with “institutional racism.” We’ll set that aside for now, in the box marked “flagrant Sussex hypocrisies”. It’s getting awfully full.

They “courageously” gave up unglamorous work of the kind the Prince and Princess of Wales undertake tirelessly – such as visiting a children’s centre in Hillingdon earlier this month, or, last week, an RAF base in Coningsby – in order to do an £88 million deal with Netflix and a £16 million deal with Penguin Random House. Deals that involve a Keeping Up With The Kardashians-style documentary about their “love story” (rumoured to be released this December) and a reportedly “tell-all” memoir that will cement their victim status, all while making a mockery of their vocal yearnings for privacy.

But wait: we’re forgetting the registered charity, the Archewell Foundation, that was launched by Meghan and Harry in a blaze of self-publicity in 2020. The “impact-driven non-profit” “compassion project” raised less in its first year than a fundraising campaign launched by the-then 11-year-old Max Woosey for his local North Devon hospice. Give them a gong, sure: for services to self-publicity and narcissism.

Inflation is one of the biggest problems of our times, but it doesn’t just affect currencies. When we call these two pathological egotists “courageous” “heroes” we are promoting a form of linguistic inflation that devalues those words to the point that they are rendered meaningless. That is an affront to true heroism.

Certainly any “compassion” for the brother and sister-in-law who are due to fly out to the US just days before Meghan and Harry receive their award – and deliver an acceptance speech to be viewed through parted fingers – is nowhere to be seen. After all, this won’t just be the future king and queen consort’s first official trip to the country since 2014, but the first since the 2021 prime-time royal annihilation which effectively branded the then Duchess of Cambridge a bully and left the monarchy’s reputation in tatters.

Imagine trying to hold your head up high as you undertake your many engagements – showcasing issues that include climate change, vulnerable young people, and green tech – when your own family and everything it stands for has been so publicly shamed? That will demand real courage.

Very interesting post! I never joined the dots, but the King seems to be playing a very clever game. In his speech without saying so directly he was making his position very clear - they gave a new life overseas! I have always understood the rules to be clear - he is no longer living in the UK and is thus not eligible. Leasing a house does not equal 'domicile'.

noun
FORMAL•LAW
the country that a person treats as their permanent home, or lives in and has a substantial connection with.
"his wife has a domicile of origin in Germany"

verb
FORMAL•LAW
treat a specified country as a permanent home.
"the tenant is domiciled in the United Kingdom"

The Duke of Suffolk - and there the duo go around thinking they are so important!

I have had a bad start to a day in a week that has been bad, but your post cheered me up immensely. Nothing like some toffs in the House of Lords to put the silly couple in their place!

I've just come across an article about * in the Express dated 21 October. Here is just a pertinent excerpt.

American columnist Kat Timpf has told the royal to "get a grip" after "constantly complaining" about her life.

She said: "All of her millions and millions of dollars and all the prestige that she has and yet all this person can do is constantly complain.

"I don't think I've ever heard her say something positive.

"It's always a sob story, it's very intense. She's never just a little sad.

"Everything is the worst thing, the worst life. She has to get a grip."

Former Tory MP Louise Mensch added: "I'll tell you the way that Meghan and Harry could win over the British public.

"Give up your titles, all of your titles and become Mr and Mrs Mountbatten-Windsor and we will respect you."

I think we all concur.

HILARY ROSE

Another Archetypes podcast. I stay positive. Then Meghan says this . . .

This week, are you a human, being? The Duchess of Sussex sits in her authenticity as she interviews Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell

oday, I am all about positivity. You could power a small garden shed with the positive vibes bouncing off me, even though I don’t own any healing crystals, haven’t added spirulina to anything and haven’t meditated or said “om”. I don’t even write a gratitude list, and if I did it would read “crumpets exist”, and I don’t think that’s what we’re supposed to be grateful for. But here I am, Little Miss Positive, for a new Meghan podcast, which I heard tell would be the last, but say it ain’t so. Who could tire of the Sage of Montecito? I prepare to be uplifted. Om.

First, some background. It has been an exciting week in Montecito. Kerry Kennedy called the Sussexes “heroic” and praised them for their “courage”. The old me, pre-vibes, would have snorted and said: “Who she?” Now I consider the things Harry and Meghan have said, the hurt they have caused, the bullying allegations that she denies, and the life of entitled luxury into which he was born and she married, and I am humbled. Such heroism. Such courage.

Once, I would have doubled over at the news that last week’s podcast, which lest we forget was “thought-provoking and energising”, is less popular than a podcast of lullabies for getting babies to sleep. Who could have guessed that vacuous twaddle isn’t very interesting, not even when it’s enlivened with platitudes? And what an opportunity for Meghan to meet the lullaby competition head-on, and market her podcast in the way it so richly deserves, as a sleep aid.

And so to this week’s, which is called Beyond the Archetype: Human, Being. I channel my positive vibes. It hurts. Meghan begins. She has a piece of art in her sitting room, she says, bearing four words, “human kind: be both”, and I will remember those words, and take heart, on the days I wake up to find that I am not, in fact, human, but a sub-species of fish. Meghan continues. “You’re not just a human being, you’re a human — just being.” Quite so.

Look, I tried. But before you know it she’s saying “I wanted to revisit a large piece of my origin story”, and I mean COME ON. Really? Out loud? Do you mean “I went back to my old school”, or is that just not pompous enough? “Ohmygosh my locker was over there!” she says, pointing to something we can’t see, because this is a podcast. “Which one?” says an obedient minion, breathless with excitement. Someone says, “We believe them to be who it is we are,” and far away in London, I close my eyes and say “om”.

We learn that Candace Bushnell has a pink plaid blanket, which instantly made Meghan light up, and that’s the main thing. We also learn from Meghan that the Nineties were “a pivotal moment in terms of the news”, which is true, because it was 1996 when Take That split up, and very little has happened before or since. Bushnell is allowed to say interesting things about her inspirations for writing Sex and the City, but adds: “I did not make a ton of money from Sex and the City.” The obvious next question, one which might elicit an interesting answer, would be: “How come?”

“How did that make you feel?’ Meghan asks.

We end the podcast, as always, with Meghan sticking two fingers up to everyone who doesn’t think she’s wonderful.

“I find it so inspiring to listen to women who are clear on who they are, unwavering, not waffling, confident in spite of whatever barriers they might have seen,” she says. She wishes she could “bottle up that inspiring feeling of liberation, when you shed all your fears of judgment” and get on a private jet out of England, for example, and when — wait for it — “you sit in your authenticity”. Of course.

This was billed as the penultimate episode, but you know what worries me? Does Meghan know what penultimate means? See you next week. And the week after that.

raspberry ruffle. sadly they will sell. CEO of Bank of America is being honored. that’s at least 2-3 tables from BofA stocked with employees cheering things on. then major clients will buy a table to honor Moynihan so he alone will be responsible for prob half the attendees. except for the dinner portion the tickets will be tax deductible in time for year end charitable giving and it’s a Christmas time event in New York. if someone gave me a ticket for free i would go. orange spray tan in person and of course watching them when others are up speaking would be awesome for fodder. do they stay past their award. how do they interact with each other when the spotlight is not on them how does she treat staff. does she sneak off to the ladies room for a quickie with an investment banker. will marcus be at her table. i would totally go up to them and ask about the kids. oh it would be like a christmas present

The DM has an article about the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation. Charity begins at home, it would seem, as 'its president, Kerry Kennedy, 63, was paid $555,000 [£467,000], almost twice what it handed out in grants.' . . . 'In the years that followed, the amount of income to the charity fell, but Kennedy's wages remained consistent.'

This post is interesting .. supposedly conversation in the House of Lords about how the duo are deliberately stoking the fires of racism. I don't know what the original source is but it is an indication to me that the duo have crossed a line and the hapless one especially will suffer the consequences for the rest of his life.
----

I came across a comment that says the Elton John video was taped a while back. The poster claims June but that does not make sense to me. They certainly are not dressed in winter clothes but California does not have a very cold winter?

@WBBM
I did not see the incident you observed. Ramsphosa gave a low bow rather than just bowing the head when shaking the hands of the king and queen because that is the South African custom for greeting royalty (well one of them, because there are a number of royal houses in Southern Africa). Ramaphosa is very charming, very wealthy, and is married to a woman who comes from immense wealth, but she is low key rather than glamorous (a bit like the British PM). But, he made a remark way back in the past that indicates that under that charm he hates white people. However, he is a pragmatist, so he will never go full-blown crazy murderous dictator. Ironically he does better with engaging with wealthy classy people than the poor (he has never experienced abject poverty himself, and during apartheid was a lawyer so was comfortably middle class), and I see that as one of his biggest problems of being president - he doesn't really connect with the poor, but he tries!
-----

King Charles showed his impeccable taste with that State banquet, in everything, and the Queen looked splendid. I think his speech was masterful and avoided the over-the-top hand wringing about colonialism that he has expressed in the past. His trashy daughter-in-law in California could learn a lot from him about speaking clearly and powerfully, but in the most classy and honest way.

If anyone wants to follow the 'separation and divorce looming' conversatiins, you can find some at the above.

What do you think? I think it is a toxic relationship that should end in divorce and that he would have a huge support system for him and his children if he chose that. But, he is completely 'captured' in the relationship, and the craziness and toxicity has become his normal.

Beginning this week and next, the latest editions of H memoir bound galley are being mailed out to their chosen critics!

They are being selective about who these bound galleys are going to. I put in a request with PRH team coordinating the publicity effort and didn't hear back.

I doubt this. It is too early to send out promotional copies, and I doubt that final proofs are sent to reviewers for trade books, but Penguin may use a different system than what I am used to. No one has used galleys in book publishing for decades, but perhaps in Italy the term used is directly translated into 'galleys'? Advance copies get sent to the publisher to distribute, but this is not a huge number and does not precede the delivery of the entire print run by too long a time. And publishers send promotional copies to those who are likely to write a favourable review - this is standard practice. No one gives a free copy to someone who is likely to trash the book! The majority of the interest in the book and what is driving pre sales is interest in gossip in my opinion, so reviews are unlikely to greatly affect sales. But maybe I am wrong and it is just people like me who are interested in the gossip aspect rather than the story of his life and love story!
I came across this critique of a * podcast from Leilani of Barbados - it's pretty damning.

Wow! The duo sure do pick them, don't they? I suppose like attracts like! I am astonished at how little is used for funding and how richly Kennedy rewards herself, but it sounds like the model the duo are following, but with funding not close to even a million and seemingly soley from the Sussex Squad. Maybe they are trying to learn how to do better?

Yes, we know ... she is much, much worse!

Actually she still gets over-the-top coverage in the tabloids, on social media and even some mainstream media channels. She just cannot tolerate anything that is not over-the-top adoration.

Prince Harry has reportedly decided to ‘pack his bags’ and leave due to ongoing fights against Meghan Markle.

These claims have been made by an inside source close to Woman’s Day New Zealand.

According to the source, the couple is currently battling “several disagreements over their upcoming projects,” from their Netflix docuseries to the naming decision for Spare.

“Word is, he blames Meghan for going off the plan and saying too much of her own truth in the docuseries – and as he learned from how their Oprah interview was picked apart, her truth isn't always the truth.”

Before concluding the insider also went onto say that Prince Harry “has every right to be annoyed. They've been working on this rollout of their projects for years and now there's a real risk of the Netflix series falling apart, just like her children's series 'Pearl' did earlier this year. And given their California house is mortgaged to the hilt, they need the money.”

Thank you, Sandie, for clarifying the point about SA protocol. That's a relief - must have been the particular camera angle that was used.

Just one highly significant comment from the 2ndhand Coke thread that was linked:

`...just wanted to add that that is a powerful moment for the victim of a narcissist: when other people validate that what you have been seeing and hearing is actually true, and that the narcissist is truly the one in the relationship who is disturbed.'

How true, how very true.

This isn’t exactly a surprise, but Tom Bower is reporting that Twit and Twat will be doing a number of interviews in advance of their Netflix romcom. Bower also says to expect leaks from Twat’s book to begin appearing in the press in December. Even though most rational people understand what frauds the couple are, I worry that they will inflict real damage on the Royal Family. And what are the chances their titles will eventually be taken away? Parliament must take the lead in that, correct? If only their British passports could be revoked so at least they couldn’t step foot on British soil again.

Unfortunately, that can happen as H would be stateless and * doesn't have a British passport, or at least I hope she wasn't given one as it would be tainted.

Thanks for the link to the Express. We all know * would turn up at the opening of an envelope, especially of there is some prestige attached to it.
While I was looking at the Express article, I saw at the side a couple off lines about should the Harkles accept the human rights award. You can vote, which I did to see what people thought, and 94% voted no - not that it will make any difference.

Re. the bound galleys for Spare

I think they must be referring to Advance Reader copies (ARCs), Which used to be known as galley proofs. I’m a public librarian and we get boxfuls Of these sent to us monthly, unsolicited. We’ve got a bookcase in our break room they are put on and staff are free to help themselves. For anyone who’s never seen an ARC, they are paperback versions Of upcoming books that are sent out to libraries, bookstores, reviewers… In order to generate buzz and pre-sales. These are not the final edited versions which will be available for purchase. They come out sometimes 6 to 8 months in advance of the publication date And are marked with the caveat that they are for review purposes only and should not be directly quoted from in published material because they are not final manuscripts. It’s a form of advertising but these are not “promotional copies” of the official finished hardcovers.
@Sandie,

It’s Princess Stephenie’s son’s wife who’s pregnant, pretty much no-one to write home about; she’s unheard of. 🫤

Thanks for// the info. This is a practice that is completely new to me, other than for educational and academic publishing (but even then, you don't want to put out copies that could be pirated/photocopied, and that may have errors).

There is a lot of chatter around about this Ripples of Hope award. Views are mixed. My prediction is that if they turn up to accept the award or not, the message they put out will be word salad and not a straightforward 'the BRF is not racist and we did not leave because we had to fight racism; the Prince and Princess of Wales have championed mental health for years and at no time was the duchass refused mental health treatment in any way'. Do you think she would go and fetch the award and make a speech on her own? I doubt it. Do you think they will go full nuclear and make a speech about racism and mental health and other abuse of the duchess? Surely they would not get that crazy?

A Quiet Interlude

Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

As Time Passes and We Get Older

I started thinking about how time passes when reading some of the articles about the birthday.  It was interesting to think about it from the different points of view.  Besides, it kind of fits as a follow up the last post (the whole saga of can the two brothers reunite). So there is the requisite article about how he will be getting all kinds of money willed to him from his great-grandmother.  There were stories about Princess Anne as trustee (and not allowing earliest access to it all).  Whether or not any or all of this is true (there was money for him and/or other kids) has been debated with claims she actually died owing money with the Queen paying the debts to avoid scandal.  Don't know but I seem to remember that royal estates are shrouded from the public so we may not (ever) know. However, strange things like assisting in a book after repeated denials have popped up in legal papers so nothing is ever really predicable.   We are also seein...

The Opening Act of New Adventures in Retail

I keep thinking things will settle down to the lazy days of spring where the weather is gorgeous and there is a certain sense of peacefulness.  New flowers are coming out. increasing daylight so people can be outside/play and thinking gardening thoughts.  And life is quiet.  Calm. And then something happens like a comet shooting across the sky.  (Out of nowhere it arrives and then leaves almost as quickly.)   An update to a law suit.  Video of the website is released (but doesn't actually promote any specific product which can be purchased from the website).  A delay and then jam is given out (but to whom and possible more importantly - who did not make the list?).  Trophies almost fall (oops).  Information slips out like when the official date of beginning USA residency.  (now, isn't that interesting?) With them, it's always something in play or simmering just below the surface.  The diversity of the endeavors is really ...
