I was sitting here thinking about my problems. I'm waiting on hearing back from the accountant about how much we will owe this year. I want to know but I also know that once I know, it's down hill. The amount we owe. Plus the bill from the accountant. That last one is always the one I hear about in loud complaints. We pay someone else because it is complicated (and others forget how complicated - written through clenched teeth). I also don't want to be seen as being pushy about when will you do this so I can move on? An exercise in trying to rein in controlling tendencies.
So I was killing some time and ran across the updated story of no one is exempt about claims of drug use on visas. Before it was all about people wanting it looked into but now? not so much. More of a talking by a lawyer somewhere is turning up the heat while others are saying it's not that big a deal.
That's a potential problem. If he loses the visa, that's that. She's still a US citizen and can keep walking out the doors of the airport and back to her life.
Without him.
That could be useful in some ways for her. He wouldn't be around to stop her from anything he disagrees with.
That could be difficult in some ways for her. How will that work financially? We aren't privy to how they handle the day to day bills like the koi guy, lawn people, mortgage, utilities or the workers for their family business - that revolving door. That's an expensive lifestyle to maintain.
And, unless they have people who keeps them current on all the paperwork, that - that could be crazy trying to find it all now less than a month away from April 15. One less person who might know where some sheet of paper is or where to describe the location by phone call. It is a really big house after all.
But you know, there are other problems.
Where would he go? Who would accept him? And, where could he stay?
And, then a shoe drops ... what happens if he starts talking? Maybe confirms things which are speculated publicly that now he no longer has this pressing need to keep hidden the longer this separation goes on? She's not around to stop him.
That could be a problem worth thinking through before heading through those airport doors without him.
And the heat is still on about will they, won't they come to the coronation.
Decisions. Decisions.

I wonder if the House of Lords will vote against if it passes the Commons. They are known as being a woke group of people..
as for samantha markle. defamation and libel in the US are difficult to win. not surprised.
Oh my. I’m reading some disturbing posts by the SS squad. Harry & Meghan are not attending the coronation, but will be live streaming a faux coronation in America to anoint themselves K&Q of the USA. It will be live-streamed during the real coronation.

Ditto. Have nothing but mad respect for the people that have had to suffer through adversity like KC and QCC have but they still work quietly and effectively for good causes. H&M are poster children for spoiled brats that never earned their place in life.
Have you seen this petition to KC3 to allow the morally challenged, surgically altered, bewigged twat to become monarch in his place because she would a "source of great joy to the population"
Charles's signature body language gesture is putting his left hand into his suitcoat pocket . . it's a self-comforting gesture I imagine. I noticed at the podium the hand was in pocket more often when speaking German and less when he switched to English. I think it's quite an unconscious gesture by now, and gives him an air of insouciant casualness even when wearing an impeccably cut suit. Commentators by and large were glowing about the King's likeability and willingness to connect with people on the street. He cracked a joke about "Dinner for One" at the state banquet which was well-received. Cracking jokes in a foreign language is upper-level skill.
As Charles had to wait so long to come into his own finally as sovereign I pray that he and Camilla have many years together in their new roles . . and that the Sussex insurrection is put down and doesn't dog the Crown for the next decade-plus. Enough is enough.
Remember to take anything emanating from the Harkles with a pinch of salt.
I'm hoping that will be the first blast at the Harkles from the King's metaphorical shotgun, to be followed by the other barrel and any other form of detonation required.
• Meghan declared persona no grata, deported if she happens to be here at the time, unless arrested and charged with treason for offences committed on British soil.
• Princelings to be deprived of the use of their princely titles; taken into the custody of the King.
• H to be arrested on treason charges/detained indefinitely in secure mental health facility
• Ducal & other titles to be removed
• Scobie arrested and charged with treason.(He was born in Swansea and as far as I am aware has not abandoned his British citizenship.)
I listened to KC3 read the German text and as someone who is fluent in German, I have to say that I was disappointed considering how well his father spoke German. Charles stumbled over words, had to reread certain words because he knew he had pronounced them wrong. Not someone who seems to have a facility with the language.
I never understand how children don't learn all the languages that their parents know, especially with all the resources at Charles' disposal. In our family, it was de rigueur to speak as many, if not more, languages as our parents.
I think that William doesn't speak any foreign language, but is learning Welsh. Harold can barely function in English. So I doubt that they will be speaking French like the Queen did, or German, Greek and Danish like Philip did
I heartily concur with both your posts. God save the King.
@Wild Boar
Good post-Coronation wish list. We live in hope...
To be fair to Charles, he had to come at Deutsch as a foreign language and Philip had essentially a polyglot upbringing with a lot of his formative years spent immersed in German language and culture; seeing as his elder sisters were all married to prominent Nazis. It’s not too surprising that he wanted to downplay his German heritage as he married into the Crown family of Britain. Charles was born shortly after the war so it might have been received poorly if the heir to the British throne was being indoctrinated in German from childhood. Of course fluency in languages is invaluable for a world leader. Why didn’t Charles receive instruction in Welsh from childhood if his future was to be Prince of Wales? Yanking him out of Cambridge where he was happy for the first time in his life and expecting him to learn enough in a couple of months to give a globally televised formal speech in it was cruel and just for optics more than a truly authentic piece of his life.
He did have some stumbles but a formal address at length is a lot more stressful than a conversation. I had to deliver a speech in Japanese just 5 months after my first Japanese lesson so I can empathize. Mine was only a few minutes long and not delivered on TV for government dignitaries. KCIII is only human.
Compared with his father, William is an intellectual lightweight, though I have hopes he will be a good King. A Q factor is more important than esoteric knowledge in a leader. I don’t think the United States has has a leader since FDR who knew anything but English. Barack Obama speaks Some Indonesian from his boyhood years there but that’s hardly a major tongue for global diplomacy. Americans make a very bad showing at languages.
I really hope they tell rachel she can't wear a tiara or borrow BR jewelry for the coronation. Then she may not come.
Scary thought,every day seems to have a celebration of something. I'm surprised * hasn't declared multiple days to celebrate herself and anything else she could come up with.
I think Philip learned German BEFORE his sisters married.
And, a sign of culture is being surrounded by several languages anywhere in the world. Even the USA.
If Charles has spent more time with his father or more time in Cambridge he would probably have better German and other languages. German speaking may have been problematic at the time, especially given the excited king's Nazi sympathies.
The king's tour seemed well received. He appears formal and accessible at the same time.
H's "truth" made the king more sympathetic as a father. Reserved, introverted yet deeply caring. I may be projecting because I believe I am similarly both introverted and overly empathetic.
H must be attending to business or scheming. It would be a perfect opportunity for the RF or "security" to get him to rehab. He is probably on possession of illicit substances and probably won't pass a drug test. If the hag.flies into town, both can be evaluated. Any issues with the children can be addressed at the same time.
Diana spoiled her baby boy instead of raising a good man. My mother did the same with my late younger brother. I mentioned them before.
My father and aunt spoke Norwegian and English at home. My grandfather ensured they spoke fluent English before starting school. However, he didn't want my grandmother to learn formal English. She said he was afraid she would run off with an Italian. She used the " milk money" to take English classes with her Italian neighbor. Both of their husbands went back to the "old country" to find wives.
Could their `Coronation' be construed as an `unAmerican Activity', that phrase from the McCarthy era, or as undermining the US Constitution?
On the other hand, I think they'd take the other route and attempt to emulated Queen Caroline's antics at George IV's coronation over here.
------------
One of the problems of learning another language here is that there is no obvious language to go for. Once it was French (language of our nearest neighbours and traditionally of diplomacy.
There are competing claims mainly between French, German, Spanish, at one time Russian & Italian - apart from the fact that in some areas the most common second language is, I believe, Urdu. Add to that, in some area local nationalism is insistence that English comes second to Cornish, Welsh, Scots Gaelic (pronounced `gallic') and or Irish Gaelic (Pron. `gaylic') as the case may be.
About 2000 years ago, there was one language spoken from Lands End to far north in Scotland, that is, a form of early Welsh, before Irish Gaelic came into the West Highlands, the Germanic languages to England and Norse made its presence felt. (Even though the film `The Eagle' had the `barbarians' anachronistically speaking Irish Gaelic and a with hair dos taken from Iron Age Irish bog-bodies', - What a disappointment that film was)
A further point about German and the Royals - Victoria & Albert spoke German to each other & Victoria spoke English with a German accent. Moreover, I've read that Geo V & Queen Mary also spoke it in private - but it was well known that David preferred German to English and felt himself to be 100%`German. Given his political views, the RF was anxious to shake off what could be seen as a taint.
Anyway, the King's German was a darn sight better the PM Edward Heath's French was'.

Strangely, the sketch `Dinner for One' is very popular in Germany, shown every New Year's Eve I believe, but is hardly known to Brits:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n7VI0rC8ZA
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinner_for_One
It's good for a giggle, especially the denouement.
I never thought about it, but I suppose that the security must be a nightmare for such an event. And that's not taking the mercenary daughter-in-law and her morally bankrupt handbag of a husband into account
That was over 55 years ago and the pressure for a higher profile for the language was less intense, although there already was some extremism. Thus an explosion heard during the Investiture was terrorists attempting to detonate a bomb but inadvertently blowing themselves up.
For Charles, having to leave Cambridge for Aberystwyth was, sadly, one of those sacrifices that Royals sometimes have to make.
I find this part of your comment intriguing: "he didn't want my grandmother to learn formal English. She said he was afraid she would run off with an Italian"
What is the rapport between an Italian and English?
I was always impressed that the Queen of England spoke French rather well. I remember reading that she could have conversations with Valery Giscard d'Estaing, the French president, entirely in French. Since she didn't have any French relatives or close family, and with the eternal animosity between the countries, I found that her effort in learning the language of her country's neighbour deserved to be applauded.
French was spoken widely across Europe by educated people, much as Latin had once been. It's only very recently that the English language has become the lingua franca across so much of the world, probably because of mass communication and American influence.
Under these circumstances, it's hardly surprising that the speakers of the minority languages of the British Isles (that's a geographical term, not a political one) are keen to assert themselves.

The Queen didn't have any French relatives or close family. She and her sister didn't go to school - the last generation of royals to be home schooled - but were taught by governesses and tutors. She learnt her French from them from a young age.
Another famous woman who was home schooled too and spoke fluent French, which she learnt from French governesses and from travelling was Agatha Christie.
`If Charles has spent more time with his father or more time in Cambridge he would probably have better German and other languages. German speaking may have been problematic at the time, especially given the excited king's Nazi sympathies.'
??? !!!
Who are you talking about? I was talking about Edward VIII, who lost his throne mainly because of his Nazi sympathies. Wallis did present real difficulties regarding Church and State so that was where the focus was put as far as the general public were concerned.
Charles read Archaeology and Anthropology at Cambridge, not Modern Languages. Had he been sent to a more appropriate school for him, there might have been more room in his timetable for languages. At that time, every prospective university candidate had to have an `O' level pass in a modern language, with one in a Classical language (ie Latin or Classical Greek) if they wished to apply to Oxford or Cambridge.

Another April's Fool article that is quite hilarious.
On a more serious note, my prediction is that she will nut let him go unless she can replace him with a billionaire, which she can't; he is too damaged to ever leave her ... but I could see him totally unravelling and hooking up with a completely trashy and inappropriate woman ... splashed all over the tabloids ... but she will claw him back and send him to rehab.
The parody Spare sounds like it is well-written and a good read.
"Showing off his very expensive Dior shirt ... Looks like he has quite a paunch, but perhaps it is the angle of the photograph."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"...quite a paunch"! Looks more like Harry is ready to announce his pregnancy, lol. Clearly the spiked 'edibles' he can freelwhole loaves of TBW's banana bread. The attempt to make Harry "sexy" has clearly FAILED.
Now William definitely has a better physique and cuts a more attractive figure in any kind of clothes including suits. Harry needs more than a carefully tailored Dior shirt. Its much like the Mrs...he will do a disservice to any brand he wears. Clothes don't make the man as the old saying goes. The 'unduke' in my IMO is as ugly as his wifey. And hair transpolants won't change that either.
a few highlights of the parody book "Spare Us"
They lived in the Norwegian neighborhood in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn ( which is now an Asian neighborhood). They were near the Italian section of town. My grandmother shopped there and made friends. They were very devoted to each other, but my grandfather worried unnecessarily about losing her. They were a cross between I Remember Mamma and I Love Lucy.
I made a typo pecking on my phone. I meant EXILED aka Edward and Wallis.
Showing off his very expensive Dior shirt ... Looks like he has quite a paunch, but perhaps it is the angle of the photograph.
$988 for a white shirt with an embroidered bee. No need to say more.
Lady C has talked about Harold’s habit of wearing closely fitted trousers, and walking in a way that brings attention to his formerly frostbitten member. This photo would confirm it.
Foreign Languages are indeed a problem if ones first and perhaps only language is English for there is no obvious second language to learn and most British people work on the assumption that if one speaks slowly and enunciate clearly the foreigner will understand (which is how Basil Fawlty treats his Catalan waiter).
Girls tend to be naturally good at acquiring a second language, more so than boys.
Have they hired a new PR firm, in London (has a 'branch' in LA)? The poster in the link has done a deep dive.
It occurred to me this morning that the duo are not bright at all, but are dangerous, simply because they do have a global platform because of the media interest in them ... and, for now, they are flush with money (Spotify, Netflix, memoir). Here is my thinking: when William realized the media were somehow hacking his phone, he went to Scotland Yard to get an investigation. This culminated in the Leveson inquiry and the media responsible being held accountable. In contrast, what is hapless trying to achieve, and how? Essentially, he is just trying to get a huge payout from the tabloids in the UK (not America). Did his wife bankrupt DM in her privacy case? Nope, and neither has DM stopped publishing critical articles about her. They are going to spend the rest of their lives suing the UK tabloids and will change nothing, because they have no real power ... but they cause a lot if trouble and stir up fanatics and the stupid people.
The following article is an interesting in-depth analysis of paparazzi in the UK ... social media has forever changed that industry.
(DM)
This should be interesting, although the Harkles are not known for telling the truth. He can't blame an aide this time, maybe he can blame that ILBW of his? More wait and see.
Diana might have had 10 affairs before Charles returned to Camilla
I have been on so many wonderful trips with this virtual platform, and I am sad to say that it closing on April 11th
So, thank you whoever it was who recommended it.
And, if you've never used it, give it a try before it shuts down. It's completely free and no downloads are necessary to use it.
I also saw an advert for DB with the slogan "Our customers are king" ( in German, of course). Very witty
Archtypes is now listed on IMDB and is reviewable.
I have found both the pro- and anti- posters asking people to go and post a review.
Last I checked, it was 2.7/ 10.
I am not making this up.
Re : 10 affairs of Diana you rference.
The article you cited was completely devoid of any facts to substantiate this claim!
In fact the only statement alleges such was...
"Howard Hodgson, royal biographer and an acquaintance of the Prince of Wales, told Express.co.uk that this particular storyline was completely inaccurate."
First and foremost, no fats, no names, no nothing to substantiate such a scurilous claim.
Second, the allegation is by someone who was in Charles social circle. How interesting; the possible men involved has not said 'a peep' (US lingo for even a scintilla of a word.)
Third, why is being brought out now? Besides the Crown's depiction, perhaps it is to help boost the image of Camilla and Charles. How pitiful. How sad for Diana's children, even Harry.
That was me that recommended Heygo here; I’m glad you got to join before the devastating news of late last week that the platform will close at noon UK time on April 11th after nearly 3 years of operation. I’m just shy of my 2nd anniversary which would have been April 24th. I’ve just purchased a portable backup drive to download the more than 42,000 postcards I have taken on 900 tours in those 2 years. I’m on a time crunch as I’ve only got 5 days to do it… The timing of this closure is very poor coming as it does immediately after the Easter holiday, and I will be away at my mother’s where there is no Internet and no computer. I’m not able to download postcards from my phone. All the voyagers and guides have been quite shellshocked but already plants are in the works to carry-on and a number of guides are organizing themselves into a collective to get the word out about their virtual tours on other platforms like YouTube and Facebook. If you sign up for the email list you will get routine notifications of new development and where you can find your favorite guides online.
thank you for all the info and for the tip to use heygo. I really enjoyed it and hope to take a few more trips in the next few days.
I've already downloaded all of my postcard. It's not too bad as they are all zipped into one file for each one of the trips.
`No one is obligated to extend the hand of reconciliation to their abuser. This author needs to fuck right off with that toxic victim blaming bullshit.'
Never forget that, Nutties.
The root if her problem, IMO, is that she has simply revealed her authentic self ... very materialistic, grandiose, attention seeking, mean and nasty to others, manipulative, without true compassion or ability to truly care for others, no respect, incapable of tolerating criticsm or seeing any fault in herself, of low intelligence but fools many with her confident word salad ... What have I left out?
She has bought herself another award.
IMO, there are award ceremonies every second day ... a modern phenomenon where the wealthy give themselves an opportunity to wear another eyewatering expensive designer gown (just once), get attention, and pat themselves on the back ... with an occasional award tossed to someone who has actually achieved something noteworthy and exceptional.
Even if she does not actually run the foundation but hires people to do so, as William and Catherine do, surely a weekly update would take at least an hour, if not more? And then where is the time to meet with donors (the royal family is very good at hosting dinner parties or weekends at a royal estate for private donors), and the time doing research, and the time for public engagements to promote and keep in touch with organizations they donate to, and raise their profile? Do they not read annual reports of the organizations they donate to, as a minimum?
Was the one hour a week a lazy way of simply filling in the minimum requirements? If so, how sloppy are they in running their affairs?
The root if her problem, IMO, is that she has simply revealed her authentic self ... very materialistic, grandiose, attention seeking, mean and nasty to others, manipulative, without true compassion etc.
I think most people sussed that out a long time ago. To your list, I'd add that she has a very inflated opinion of herself and her abilities.
Camilla Tominey is scathing about the duo and their work ethic ... opinion piece in The Telegraph.
They were not the only organization that donated and they did no actual work. Why aren't the organization to whom they donated, who actually did some work, and the other donors getting awards?
Tea from Neil Sean ... the reason hapless was in London was to meet with the King and get an apology to his wife. I guess that did not go well!
The best lines of Camilla Tominey’s piece come at the end:
Yet what we have actually seen from the Sussexes is an uplifting and uniting of their own community of two – online and offline.
To be a royal is to be duty-bound in pursuit of the service of others, but Harry and Meghan’s approach has been rather more self-serving than that.
For when it comes to self promotion, no one can doubt that the couple have put the hours in.
Sip with a few heaped teaspoons of scepticism, but as always with the duo, often the most absurd rumours swirling on social media turn out to be true and end up before ng reported in the tabloids in the UK.
It is long, so I have copied and posted in chunks, trying to keep subject matter together:
"Notice that until the past couple of months, the awards she bought were recognizing her and Harry together and now they are all just recognizing Meghan alone This is allegedly the ILBW's intentional strategy to begin marketing herself as a solo act, i.e. it's one more preparatory move towards unloading Prince Harry. We've gone into overtime on my March 2023 prediction, but I'm still on a DivorceWatch for the near future and you can see how she may be laying the foundation now. She's got Todge admitting addiction, and anger problems in his book as well as to Oprah. She's had People Magazine name her kids as Prince and Princess. She's going overboard trying to get the only bit of work that she did last year, the podcast, recognized and rewarded."
"These two are reportedly not living together nor have they been together in many weeks. But as usual, Meghan is over-egging the pudding as the evidence the Royal Family holds against her is vast and goes back decades. In my opinion, Big Daddy Chuck will help Harry when it comes to divorce and separation procedings, but only in a private capacity and only through lawyers. Harry will never be trusted again, nor will he be welcomed back and restored as a working Royal. If he does go back to the UK sans-Meghan, and I think he will once she has fully discarded him, he will interact with his family only in a private capacity and will probably be tucked in a cottage somewhere in the country where he will always be closely monitored and kept out of the public eye. That's just my prediction."
Cont. in next post ...
"Some people have asked me what I know about the Gettys, and this is why I've heard: the Getty family got wind of something about Meghan that was allegedly manipulative and creepy enough that when they told Getty, he was like, "Yeah that's fucked up," and so he ended their transactional relationship. So there's that."
"Again, Meghan's recent deluge of awards have all been centered around her podcast. I heard that this is because Spotify is or was also allegedly not buying a second season of Archetypes. They did comment on social media about her Gracie Award, but there is still no commitment to Archetypes 2: Stereotypes Rebranded. She's drawing attention to it to try to force Spotify's hand into another season. Will this work on Spotify? Well on one hand, we saw that they posted a grammatically incorrect comment on the Twitter announcement... but we also know that they know the real stats, that she is AWFUL to work with, and so I doubt she's been worth the trouble. We'll have to see . There is no financial reward to be gained from it... Gracie award or no, there's no reason for them to subject themselves and their staff, who reportedly called the show "Stereotypes" in-house because they know the real definition of Archetypes, to another season of that shite. But still Meghan needs money coming in for the future. Ill-fitting clothes, bronzer, and and another new face just aren't gonna buy themselves. This is ansituatjkn though of Meghan needing Spotify more than Spotify needs Meghan. It'll be interesting to watch how this pans out."
The King was too busy to see him.
It would be interesting to see:
* The costs of running the foundation.
* The figures for 2021 and 2022.
... to make comparisons with the duo.
One difference I see immediately is that it is not major news when they receive a donation nor if they donated money. And, of course, the Prince and Princess of Wales are not in the 'grab awards' race.
I cannot understand how anyone believes that KC3 will apologize for anything wrt the Sucksits.
I believe that this firm evidence of her level of delusion. Why Todger went along with it is probably due to the harassment and abuse he will face if he didn't at least try. He will probably be subjected to it now that he has failed.
Scroll down this post ...
The whole case against Daily Mail is based on unsubstantiated accusations and a statement from the guy who did hacking, phone tapping, and so on for the tabloids. Turns out that the guy never made such a statement about Daily Mail, and the 'evidence' presented to court is a fraud.
Harold and his celebrity friends should pray that this does not go to trial, because it will cost them a lot of money and DM will spend weeks publishing all the details.
Were they hoodwinked by a con artist or are they trying to hoodwink the court by faking evidence?
I believe that the guy did hack for the Daily Mail and said so during the Levenson Inquiry.
Problem is, that evidence cannot be used elsewhere. So, the guy can lie about it, and there's no way anyway can prove that he is lying.
Harold and the greedy drama queens who jumped on this litigation party boat all thought they could make some easy money but the judge has to throw it out because otherwise, no one will believe the government's promises of immunity from prosecution in the future.
Meghan Markle is set to be given 2023 Women of Vision award by Gloria Steinem at NYC gala next month
If you scroll through the above post, you will find a reference to an article in The Telegraph.
The case against the DM is built around evidence from Gavin Burrows (a signed statement). He claims:
* That he did not make the statement being presented to the court.
* The 'false statement' was taken by a paralegal, who he says is a conman and convicted criminal and whom he has not had any dealings with for a year.
* That he has not received any letters from lawyers.
* Such a document (statement) would require him signing in the presence of a lawyer, which he did not do.
* The document/statement presented to court has a digital signature.
* The document presented to court is a cut and paste of evidence he did give on two other media outlets (NOW and Sunday People/The Mirror).
* On the day that he supposedly signed this document, he was unable to and that can be verified by a doctor.
The Leveson Inquiry was a public inquiry, live streamed online. I can find no reference to any evidence being sealed. Part 2 of the inquiry never went ahead:
"Prime Minister David Cameron, under whose direction the inquiry had been established, said that he welcomed many of the findings, but declined to enact the requisite legislation. Part 2 of the inquiry was to be delayed until after criminal prosecutions regarding events at the News of the World, but the Conservative Party's 2017 manifesto stated that the second part of the inquiry would be dropped entirely, and this was confirmed by Culture Secretary Matt Hancock in a statement to the House of Commons on 1 March 2018."
If the judge does give the go-ahead for a trial, it is going to get very messy, and very expensive.
so mrs has another award. yep no less than two in the month of may alone. what’s a gal to do. does she even have time for the coronation (wishful thinking). another Meg does it alone moment this time with Bestie gloria steinem (and last night on twitter a bunch of people asking gee is Gloria Steinem still alive? guess mutually beneficial alliance) . She added that Meghan, as well as the other award winners — including Black Lives Matter co-founder LaTosha Brown — 'are incredible leaders, and we are grateful to be able to shine a light on their many accomplishments and tireless work on behalf of gender and racial equity across the country and the world.'
Will Harold be the Dior spokesperson?
Boy, Dior can't read the room.
It is speculation.
She flaunts her wealth in her attire and accessories, so it does not surprise me if he is copying her to try and get a pat on the head and be told he is a 'good boy'. But maybe the shirt was a gift from Oprah or Ellen or Tyler (are they friends with any other very wealthy folk?).
Dior mostly caters for the young and trendy with a huge nod to 'gender fluidity' (that is the image projected on their website and in their collections), and he does not fit their profile, so I do not believe this speculation at all. Mind you, they do have a 'safari collection'. If he turned up in the African bush wearing those outfits he would be laughed at!
The following is from The Mirror. (Mayah Riaz: Celeb Manager / PR-to-the-Stars Media Commentator Publicity Coach Founder of Social Media Kindness Day.)
"The speculation that Meghan and Harry won't receive invites to the Met Gala because of the drama surrounding them is quite frankly hilarious," PR expert Mayah Riaz told us. "When you think of the Met Gala, you think of drama. It's synonymous with epic drama.
That’s not what I think of. I think of outrageous outfits on the red carpet.
"The Met Gala will be held few days from the King's coronation. So it could be that Harry and Meghan may well be in London in preparation for the historic event," Mayah said.
"Which could be the real reason as to why they may not be getting the invite to the Met Gala." She suggested: "With the couple refusing the invite, it'll be the Met Gala getting the snub rather than the other way around."
`Harry and Meghan: Major clue the couple have responded to coronation invite'
What's hilarious is ILBW's implication, through her latest rent-a-shill here, this "PR Expert" that she and her Handbag expect to be invited to the Met Gala. Rinse and repeat endlessly. ILBW really takes that 'manifesting mantra' to the next level. She has NEVER received an invite to the Met Gala. Not as a mediocre starlet. Not as a Royal bride. Not as a repatriated whatever she is now. Rachel lives in hope in defiance of reality.
One of the awards she is getting published a bio of her. It has been updated. I don't know if I should laugh at her or cringe in embarrassment for her.
@KnitWit,
I find this part of your comment intriguing: "he didn't want my grandmother to learn formal English. She said he was afraid she would run off with an Italian"
What is the rapport between an Italian and English?
I would suppose that any Italian man he had encountered was possibly a very handsome and attractive man...irresistible in a husband's mind. "Lead her not into temptation!"
I was always impressed that the Queen of England spoke French rather well. I remember reading that she could have conversations with Valery Giscard d'Estaing, the French president, entirely in French. Since she didn't have any French relatives or close family, and with the eternal animosity between the countries, I found that her effort in learning the language of her country's neighbour deserved to be applauded
That fluency is at least partly due to the "French lunches" with her parents where all conversation had to be conducted in French. The late Queen followed the same practice with her children. Immersion is good but actually speaking the language yourself is apparently the true key to learning it.
"Future king Prince George will play an important role in the coronation of his grandfather alongside seven schoolboys and girls, with all been named as Pages of Honour who will 'attend their majesties during the coronation service'.
The group are either family friends or close relatives of Charles and Camilla, including three of the Queen's grandchildren, and will be expected to carry the robes of prominent figures during the day."
My limited experience of narcs is that yes, they will stamp their feet and make fists like a toddler if you do not do what they tell you to, without question (or throw a tantrum in some way). Is she feeling insecure because she is not getting what she demands? Perhaps from the royal family? Is this her throwing a tantrum ... look how great I am; you WILL bow down to ME!
Or has she simply 'gone over the edge' into la la land?
It was I think The Royal Grift or maybe Ibble Dibble on YouTube who said the Met Gala may go on without Sussexes because Anna Wintour, who controls the invites, likes the RF enough not to include the backstabbers. And as celebrities they don't rate high enough in fame terms these days. No couture house will want to dress her because everything she wears nearly already looks a bit weird due to size issues or being a close copy of something worn by a more famous royal/ nonroyal. They would likely divert attention to themselves or at least try! They are not the world's most popular couple anymore.
I may need to change my handle, I've been away.
"The King and Queen Consort will be attended by four Pages each, who will form part of the procession through the Nave of the Abbey during the service.
The King’s Pages of Honour will be His Royal Highness Prince George of Wales, Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, Master Nicholas Barclay and Master Ralph Tollemache.
The Queen Consort’s Pages of Honour will be Her Majesty’s grandsons, Master Gus and Master Louis Lopes and Master Freddy Parker Bowles, and Her Majesty’s great-nephew, Master Arthur Elliot."
The alliterate one is being given an award because the organization presenting the award needs a high profile name to sell tickets. No one had been buying any.
https://www.crazydaysandnights.net/
I was thinking today that she probably does not have to buy every award, because of the very reason given above. In addition, giving her an award gets the organization free publicity through the media.
I rather think that Parliament would have something to say about him arrogating absolute power unto himself. It just shows how little he understands our Constitution.
I read somewhere on twitter that Diana didn't like Sophie Wessex and called her "Goody Two shoes". Diana was probably jealous of Sophie and considered her a rival. Has anyone heard anything about their relationship?
Diana seemed to have problems getting along with *any* women. I think she perceived them as rivals, not potential friends.
According to Wikipedia, Sophie first met Edward in '87 and they began dating c1993, engaged
`Sophie, who was reportedly close to the Queen from the beginning of her relationship with Edward, was allowed to use the royal apartments at Buckingham Palace prior to her engagement'.
They became engaged in 1998 and so it certainly sounds as if Diana was bring catty about her.
What could go wrong with this ... 8 children each having a sword ...
"Pages of Honour traditionally wear a knee-length scarlet coat with gold trimmings over a white satin waistcoat and lace jabot - a decorative ruffle or frill falling from the collar - white breeches, white stockings and black shoes with buckles. They also carry a small ceremonial sword."
-----
And, I found a long article about The Prince's Trust that is a good read. The grandiosity of the duo is ridiculous, and what do you think his family really think of her and her antics? Personally, I think this at least part of her reason for unravelling: a narc cannot bear to be in a context where they are inadequate.
It focuses on how impressive her linguistic abilities were when they went to Morocco...
Did we come to a settled opinion as the whether they were here for the Jubilee or not?
In Tom Bower’s book he wrote that the Reitman’s crew spoke French so that she wouldn't understand what they were saying about her. I don’t buy for a second that she speaks any foreign language proficiently (forget fluency).
As far as Todger being a model/spokesperson for Dior, he is a singularly unattractive man, outside and inside. It does t reflect well on the brand.
Since the silence is deafening about the phantom tots, my money's on 'not'.
Remember the Queen declined photo ops citing 'a bloodshot eye'. I think if she was satisfied that there were genuine great-grands come to see her all the way from America, she might have consented to a photo, like she and Philip posed for with all their other great-grandchildren.
The presentation photo of 'Archie' to his Royal great-grandparents has been utterly debunked as a fraud, with the actual photo of the Royal couple attending the Royal Windsor horse show in the identical outfits with the *identical* poses whilst being presented to a newborn foal. We always suspected . . the little tableau was so very very very very odd, with the Queen dressed far too casually in country tweeds for an official portrait with her new great-grandson. Yet the 'official' line is still that the 'shawl/Reborn/foal' is now a Prince of the United Kingdom . .and his even more Invisibet sister is now a Princess.
I don't believe they've got custody of any kids but just borrow some for photo ops and Netflix documentaries. The constant agitating for Royal attention for these phantom kids is just to keep their names in the press and trot out the RF's unwillingness to pose for photos with dolls or hired actor-babies as more proof of their institutional racism. If KCIII called ILBW's bluff and said, "Sure, let's have 'em on the balcony . . We insist on holding our grandbabies." . . what would she do then? S*** and die? That'd be too much to hope for.
And our physicians will be standing by to take DNA samples from both of you as well as the children...
I thought as much. I should have clearer about my view of the children `being in danger'. I do wonder if H believes in their existence? Could he still be taken in by her trickery?
I don't for one minute think she was ever pregnant but still wonder sometimes if they have surrogate children under their control, although the ease with which she remembers the dogs but forgets to mention the kids is yet another indicator that they don't.
Thinking about what may or may not be revealed after the Coronation, would announcing that the children don't exist be a breach of medical confidentiality?
Old news indeed aboitt *'s linguistic abilities were when they went to Morocco. I was going to repeat what she said but her words are quoted in the article, complete with translation:
"The royal met students at the school and asked them questions such as, “Qu’est ce que tu veux être quand tu quittes l’école?” (What do you want to do when you leave school?) and “Vous voulez aller à l’université?” (Do you want to go to university?)".
She said 'what do you want to be' but in this context the French equivalent is 'qu'est-ce que tu veux faire?' (what do you want to do) and 'quand tu quittes l'école' is a literal translation, usually it is 'plus tard' (afterwards) in this context. Also the present tense is wrong here. Then in the second question she uses the vous form, unless she was asking a group of girls.
Sorry for sounding pedantic but she's not fluent. Another vastly exaggerated claim...
* Both attend, and children brought with them for a last stay at FC.
* He attends but leaves her and children in California.
* Neither attend, and they release a statement or set up some stunt to get attention.
* Neither attend, and he gets paid a huge amount of money to be a commentator for some American network.
I have firmly supported option 1 but now am thinking that a mix of options 3 and 4 are more likely.
Note that he is due to testify for a trial in early June. I think it is the case against the Mirror, but he has so many court cases going at the moment that I am rather confused. Him in the witness box is going to be a disaster. Lawyers don't fall for pontificating smug word salad like the public.
Talking about court cases ... if you were Archie or Lilli, children of litigious trouble-makers, what is the likelihood that you would be in court suing your parents, probably before you even reach adulthood?
https://pagesix.com/2023/04/05/prince-harry-has-a-lot-of-questions-about-charles-coronation/
My interpretation is that he wants to be there. Charles is still his father. She is behaving like a typical narc, and control and domination are driving forces in her, so she must dictate terms and nake it all about her and what she wants and needs.
Here are excerpts from the article:
“Harry has a lot of questions about how the event will work.”
“But the way I see it is, I’m willing to forgive you for everything you’ve done, and I wish you’d actually sat down with me, properly, and instead of saying I’m delusional and paranoid, actually sit down and have a proper conversation about this, because what I’d really like is some accountability. And an apology to my wife.”
And this is very interesting:
Conversations are ongoing about whether the Princess of Wales will wear a tiara to the coronation — she has previously worn Princess Diana’s favorite headpiece, the Lover’s Knot tiara. However, Markle, 41, is unlikely to have access to the family jewels, aside from what Harry has gifted her already, royal sources said.
That's probably how the Green Man comes to be on the invitation. There is May blossom around his head ( and elsewhere) - flowers of the Hawthorn, aka May Tree - single, white 5-petalled flowers, like strawberry flowers but with conspicuous deep-pink stamens.
I'd like to think CR III will include Morris Dancers in his procession, as happened in much earlier Coronations I believe - for insance, Westminster Morris have a rather splendid `Unicorn' for their `Hobby Horse'.
did everyone see the crowds in York today for Maundy Thursday. i think the duo (if invited) will be at the coronation. they can’t not be part of that even if they will re relegated to ticket takers. can’t imagine what pr they could do to take the focus away.
I saw this yesterday ... quite amusing. It is George helping TBW get a pram up the stairs inside the Palace
Yes, pathetic. Her-much vaunted French is about the standard of my `Emergency French'- 60 yrs since I last used it at school. At best, she's `getting by'- like my last emergency (at Tunis, where we were stuck at baggage check-in. The machinery wasn't working properly and the clerk wasn't bothered, although take-off time was fast approaching. I searched my memory and the the best I could do was,
`Nous allons à Londres - In sha'Allah!'
The Arabic seemed to do the trick, that and our courier insisting our charter plane wasn't taking off until every on was aboard. Our luggage was accepted manually.
We had a good laugh about *'s `fluency before; she must be desperate to trot that out again.
----------
I note that the cries about Charles's `weakness' are still echoing around the DM comments. no, he isn't. Weakness would be giving in to their demands because he wants H there at any cost. He is sticking to his guns, it's his way or the highway.
It's vital that he holds out so the Harkles are seem to be cutting their noses to spite their own faces. To cancel their invitation, as so many seem to want, would just give them more verbal ordure to chuck at the King.
Yep, so much alike - both almost completely bald.
Prince Harry's US visa row is 'lose-lose' for Duke if he received special treatment
When asked about the situation, Spectator writer Kara Kennedy told the host: "I can't see this being a win-win for Harry either way.
"It's pretty lose-lose, because if he did lie it gives America the grounds to deport him back, or reject his visa application that he'll have to put through this year for lying, they're pretty strict about it.
"If he did tell the truth, then this is just Harry who famously doesn't want to be treated any differently to you or I, who doesn't want to be a Prince or part of the Royal Family, receiving special treatment for something that you or me would not be able to enter America for.
"So it's a lose-lose. He looks idiotic either way."
Hapless has claimed Diana, and her legacy, as his alone, but how has she actually inspired him and to do what? With William, it is clear, and he is on his way to achieving great things that change an entire society. With hapless, I just see damage, even if the idiot was initially well intentioned. I think it is clear which son Diana would be proud of and which would give her sleepless nights.
And WRT Todger being the "face of Dior," I'm afraid I must again insist that we look at the wording. Words like "may be," "might," "looks like" and "expects to be" are all huge red flags indicating an entirely made-up article
She is still trying to get her prince and princess on the balcony. This narc attenpt to control and make everything all about her is not going well and is looking rather pathetic.
Yep, he just does not fit the image for Dior at all. If you look at their website it is quite obvious. Dior does have a 'safari' range, so at a stretch he could have a slot there. But Dior, like all big brands, has gone the route of 'gender' political correctness, and he just does not have that androgynous quality.
They don't ever RSVP, but show up unannounced, and cause a scene when denied admittance.
Probably with kids, to make the scene extra tear-jerky.
Dr Brooke Newman also questioned Her Majesty's legacy after she passed away - including as head of the Commonwealth - and accused the monarch of having failed Meghan Markle after she married Prince Harry.
Dr Newman, who claims 'everyone in Britain' has benefitted from the slave trade, said that criticism of the Duchess of Sussex had been 'next level' compared to 'farting, snoring, pooping, peeing, sinning, and fornicating' caricatures of other royals.
She also said: 'The image of the monarchy, in some ways, is more important than anything, and by all respects, they have failed, especially recently with the treatment of Meghan Markle, the royal tours (of former British colonies), the backlash against the Crown.'
Why on earth does she need to bring * into it? Or is she comparing *'s treatment with that of slaves? What a thoroughly unpleasant woman.
Haz is perpetually high, but surely even he cannot believe that the ILBW gave birth to two tots that live in their house . .just because TBW said so. He's complicit up to his dilated, bloodshot eyes in this scam. Remember the impromptu presser in front of the horse stables at Windsor where H told the media (one guy + one photographer) that he was 'in awe' of his wife, apparently having watched her give birth that very morning? What a furtive spot to tell a bunch of porkies, with the smell of equine excrement on the wind and Royal steeds Sir John and George acting as chorus. They couldn't believe the sh*te they were hearing and neither could we. Then 2 days later, Haz was digging his thumb into 'Archie's' arm hard enough that surely would have left a bruise on a real baby and made him cry.
I'm uncertain how far medical confidentiality goes . . the RF wouldn't have been able to publicly denounce her weirdly gymnastic pregnancies or get too nosy about her birthing arrangements/doctors etc. under medical privacy laws. But there's got to be a legal out for them to make it public knowledge somehow, if it is in fact TRUE that the Sussex children, both in the succession to the Crown of the United Kingdom are fictitious? If ILBW didn't actually birth any kids and has been telling treasonous porkers for the last 4 years . . surely her right to medical privacy is moot? Are fictional people entitled to privacy and is it permissible to invent medical conditions out of whole cloth in order to scam the Crown, while still able to claim privacy in perpetuity? People have been prosecuted for accepting cash and gifts in the thousands of dollars under the guise of 'undergoing treatment for cancer' when they were not sick and were just bilking people for material gain and sympathy. The right to confidentiality ends when a crime is committed. I'm not a lawyer so I will leave this for Opus to pick up. It's nonsensical but it might actually be true that if Rachel has foisted two figments of her imagination upon an unwitting public, she's forced the Crown to be complicit in a fraud which they will be compelled to go along with for life, if these children aren't actually real.
People are mocking the Australian Simon Durante-Day for his apparently steadfast belief that he's the illegitimate, unacknowledged son of teenage lovers Charles and Camilla. Sure, on the face of it, he's loony since his dates don't match and genetically there appears to be zero resemblance to either of his alleged parents. But his claim is no more loopy than Rachel's if the burden of proof to admit children to the line of succession and pass out titles like candy is so slight.
I'm confident that Mr. Durante-Day has as much right to be called a Royal descendant as Archie and Lili have, let's put it that way. If Rach's kids get titles and will show up on the balcony, by all means let's give Mr. Durante-Day a first class ticket to the Coronation and a front row seat because according to his truth, he's the rightful Prince of Wales, not William, and individual truths are all that matters any more.
A 5th option....
They don't ever RSVP, but show up unannounced, and cause a scene when denied admittance.
Probably with kids, to make the scene extra tear-jerky.
Actually as time drags on with no response from Montecito, even though Hawwy had the time and funds to ostentatiously make the private jet flight from SoCal to London just weeks before his father's coronation . . and to leave the country with no reply to the invitation . . I think that's exactly what they are planning to do. They will say nothing and just show up on the day, expecting to swan into their prime seats. She's gonna do all she can to 'miss the bus' again and make her own processional. Or . . should the King instruct Col Johnny to bar the door to the Abbey, she's gonna stand outside with a Netflix crew to document every frame of her being denied admittance for being black. Her and her two Black children . . see??
A Narc like her absolutely cannot abide any event where she's not the star attraction, with control over every detail. Not having learnt any sort of lesson at HMTQ's funeral, she is going to do her utmost to create a spectacle on Chas's Coronation day. If I were Charles, I'd be having the security services monitoring all incoming air traffic and have the perfidious pair's private jet met on the tarmac. Not forgetting that al-Queda would love to make some hay over Haz's remarks about the number of Afgani soldiers he's killed. They are too big a security risk to be allowed anywhere near the Abbey. Let us hope that behind the scenes they have been neutralized and the reason they've not publicized their attendance is because they've been banned from coming. She'll still try to push the envelope. I'd love to have the Netflix cameras capturing her being taken into 'protective custody' at the airport. "It's for your own protection, Ma'am--free of charge!"
I was reading an article in the DM about narcissists and these are the signs of narcissism in women. Was this written with * in mind? That's her to a T.
1. A narcissistic lady may spend hours of each day perfecting her physical appearance with the help of cosmetics, hairstyling, and the latest fashions. It's possible that she's fixated with looking her best at all times, which means she's constantly thinking about how to improve her appearance.
2. A narcissistic woman's need for approval and praise from others may drive her to extremes. She may have a tendency to speak over others, interrupt them, and ignore their opinions.
3. A narcissistic female may utilise her attractiveness and charisma to get her way. She might lie, manipulate, exaggerate, or otherwise deceive others to acquire what she wants.
4. Narcissistic women are prone to envy and jealousy, especially when they see other women as more beautiful, successful, or well-liked than themselves. She could develop feelings of envy and resentment towards them as a result of their success.
5. They play the martyr or victim and everything they have experienced is more painful, harder and they have suffered more.
Perhaps Dr Newman should listen to facts…..
Negotiations include them being paid to attend, allegedly. Found this comment to an article in The Mirror:
La Stampa, an important Italian daily newspaper is currently reporting (source the magazine In Touch) that they have asked for £11 million to attend. Such a lot of misinformation swirling around these two, I wonder who is behind it all... MM?'
The latest from Harry & Meghan: “We come to the coronation but give us 11 million euros”
The Sussexes also try this: ask Buckingham Palace for a substantial attendance fee to participate in the event on 6 May
EMANUELA MINUCCI
06 April 2023 Updated at 14:34
2 minute read
Better than the screenwriters of «The Crown» Harry and Meghan think one a day. This time, however, the idea would have come to her, who according to many is the real head of the family: to ask King Charles III for 11 million pounds to participate (and probably also to keep quiet and quiet) in the great event of 6 May: the coronation of Charles and the "evil stepmother" or Camilla.
You are not satisfied with having received the invitation, which is not even a given after the poisons spread over the monarchy by "The Spare" the spare son, now the Sussexes are trying to up the ante. Knowing full well that they will never get that amount and above all that they are already out of time for the famous royal RSVP (the deadline was yesterday, April 5th).
To reveal this last detail, which detail is not, is the newspaper "In Touch", which writes that it had received the information from a source close to the couple. The magazine specifies that the idea would have been Markle's. Harry at the beginning would have raised many doubts and would have explained to his wife that even after that request relations with the royal family were not at the top: "It's already been a long time since they invited us". However, Meghan proved adamant. And so the prince telephoned his father Carlo's assistants to begin the negotiations. Buckingham Palace, however, would have answered - as it was intended - spades.
The reason for the economic request
But why did the Sussex come to ask for an attendance fee? Simple, to maintain their luxurious American standard of living, since they said goodbye to the royal family, they are forced to work, despite «The Spare» has guaranteed a good income. And therefore any type of extra income is welcome – especially today that their popularity is at an all-time low even in the United States – especially if we are talking about millions.
Since the Palazzo has already answered no to the request, what will happen to their participation in the great event on May 6? According to Buckingham Palace expert Richard Fitzwilliams, the two will not dare to snub the ceremony. And they are well aware that the million-dollar contracts they have signed in the States - with Netflix, with Spotify, with the Penguin Random House publishing house - have only arrived by virtue of the fact that they are members of the royal family. If they did not participate in a historic event such as the coronation, the two would risk appearing "irrelevant", "cut off forever from the royal world".
If they participate, however, they will have to settle for a very marginal role: in fact, it seems that there will be no place for them in the procession that will precede the official ceremony at Westminster Abbey. And not even on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, when the royal family will look out to greet the crowd: King Charles III specified today that to be present on the balcony of Buckingham Palace you have to "work for the company".
One thing is certain, however, as understood at the beginning of this long controversy: presence or absence, Harry and Meghan will still manage to obscure the coronation of Carlo. And he, the King, knows it very well.
BTW One Euro is worth about 88p.
That report in La Stampa is a corker. As ever, I wouldn't put it past her - it's all too believable.
What had been making me outraged was today's headline that the King is setting up an enquiry as to whether the RF had ever been complicit in the trade in slaves. I am not going to (though I could) set out an apology for slavery but I would just observe that when one pays the Danegeld one never rids oneself of the Dane and the grifters seeking payout will if this goes on soon be back for more. The facts are that there is no one alive today who has ever been enslaved nor anyone who has so enslaved furthermore there were far more barbary-slaves than north-atlantic and more south-atlantic than north-atlantic likewise. It strikes me as a case (the abolition of the trade and later in America of the slave-owning itself) as being a case of no good deed going unpunished. I do not believe either that the end of slavery was done out of charity or sentimentality whatever the Wilberforce's of this world may have wished; slavery is both expensive for the slave-owner and hardly persuades the slave to break into a sweat in the execution of his work. De Tocqueville in the 1830s observed as much noting how much harder working were those piece-work free-men who lived in the northern American states so don't blame me should that notion offend your sensibilities. De Toqueville if I recall correctly then predicted the ultimate dominance of the North and he was right. He also (I will mention this) predicted that America would end up producing weak men and testicle-busting women. He was of French aristocratic stock his parents having both been sent to Mme Guillotine and I can thus only recommend his two volume Democracy in America should you not be familiar with it.
I deprecate those yesterday shouting 'not my King' as KCIII entered the Cathedral. One does not have to approve of the king's eco-lunacy to see that such a display of rudeness is quite unacceptable. This never happened to his mother and should not happen now.
I have been picturing them being forced to set up 2000 folding chairs as a condition of their attendance
I know that the article is conjecture, and not proven fact, but it has the ring of truth for me, so yes I absolutely believe it to be true that the Duke & Douchass of Monte$hit$how are demanding big money in order to attend the coronation.
I've found it odd that I, for days, have been reading that Prince Blue Todger has been "in negotiations" with the Palace about their coronation attendance. Negotiations? FOR WHAT? I kept idly thinking. Well, it is suddenly clear in my mind thanks to the article:
The loathsome twosome's attendance at the coronation is predicated on getting a huge payday out of it.
In my mind, if they attend the coronation, I will foreverafter be convinced that they were paid handsomely to attend.
Thanks again for bringing this article to my attention.
Ha! Apparently, according to the DM, the Harkles are'on the brink of confirming' whether they will go to King's Coronation'. How long does it take to make a decision and then confirm or otherwise? Maybe they're not sure because H 'has a lot of questions about how the event will work'. I'm sure a lot of guests are also wondering but that hasn't stopped them replying to the invitation. Perhaps H'still think he has a role in the Coronation?
Incidentally, I bought two stamps yesterday and they had the profile of King Charles. It seemed strange not to see the Queen.
From this side of the Atlantic, it looks very one-sided. What gives any American academic the right to be `anti-monarchist' and to make such vile comments about us and our Constitution?
There will be no end to *'s blackmailing habits unless the King holds fast and yields not an inch. Opus is right, paying off aggressors only encourages them to continue.
* Kate found her Windsor walkabout with Harry and Meghan after the Queen's death 'one of the hardest things she'd ever had to do' ... The Princess of Wales told a senior royal it was so difficult for her because of the 'ill-feeling' between the couples.
* Charles was frustrated at Harry's 'bad manners' for overshadowing his 2016 Gulf tour by releasing the statement confirming his relationship with Meghan but demanding they be left alone.
* The Queen was mystified by Harry and Meghan's public criticisms of the monarchy and members of the royal family - and described their behaviour as 'quite mad'.
* Charles and William decided they could not risk being alone with Harry again after the Sussexes' bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 and would no longer treat him as a trusted member of the family.
* There were fears that if Meghan was allowed to join by video link from Canada the so-called Sandringham Summit to thrash out details of the Sussexes' future in January 2020 it would not be 'secure'.
Prince William is “baffled” by his brother’s reluctance to so far publicly accept his invitation to King Charles’ coronation, a friend of the prince has told The Daily Beast, and thinks Prince Harry is trying to “be difficult” by not announcing his and his wife’s intentions.
...
Our royal family has nothing to do with countries outside of Blighty and the Commonwealth, but this unfortunately isn’t the first time Dr Newman has decided to insert herself in our country’s royal family and us yet again. 😩
@Opus, thank you for the recommendation of Democracy In America: Alexis De Tocqueville, it’s gone on my Audio book list. 🤗
The countdown continues: T minus 30.
How will the Montecito duo try to grab the spotlight? Keeping in mind that there is a time difference so they will have to hustle all day Friday and Saturday, their time, to dominate the tabloids in the UK Sunday morning. My guesses:
* Christening photos of Princess Lilli.
* Any video of the children, and then the duo hiding Easter eggs for them while they are asleep.
* Another pap walk at a restaurant for the rich and famous (the most boring option).
* Or, one of her favourites, a shopping trip in Montecito.
Of course, the biggest scoop would be a statement about their attendance at the coronation ... the most sensational would be a grandiose statement about why they will not be attending the coronation, with lots of mention of Diana. That would be guaranteed to hurt Charles, and the rest of the family, as they attend a service in the chapel where the late Queen is entombed, beside her beloved Phillip.
Maybe they will surprise me and show some decency.
What struck me is a key date ... December 2019 was when they got hold of the money. February 2018 was when the households split; March 2018 they start negotiating contracts with media outlets; May 2018 Archie is born and she gets the royal presentation at and the royal christening at Windsor Castle; June 2018 legal process of splitting from The Royal Foundation starts ... but they only actually get the money in December (also the month that he gets access to money in the Diana Fund), by which time she had extracted him from the UK. As for why they went to Canada and not directly to LA ... that happened to be where they could get a freebie mansion at the time ... it would take a few more months to work the Oprah/Tyler grift for a free house in LA. As for buying their own house ... they got the payout from Charles for that.
