Are these Meghan's anonymous messages?

Anyone who follows the non-establishment media about Meghan Markle is probably familiar with Skippy, a Tumbler blogger who was one of the first to write about Meghan.

Skippy, the pen name of a Canadian woman who claims to be in late middle age, pours out dozens of items about Meghan every day.

Her blog is definitely an acquired taste: she mixes cuddly animal photos, inspirational pictures of waterfalls, and Catholic prayers with some vicious invective against the Duchess of Sussex. I'm no Markle fan, but I don't like any human being called "IT" or "Maggot" or "Meg-IT" or the like.

At any rate, Skippy is only relevant here because someone who appears to be Meghan, and whom Skippy believes to be Meghan, regularly sends anonymous messages to Skippy.

Skippy then responds with something juvenile about how wonderful Kate is. It's all a bit silly, but the anon keeps coming back for more.

Here's an example:

Could this be from Duchess Meghan? The anon does refer to "Meg", which is the name Meghan uses for herself and suggests to friends, according to her interview on the Craig Ferguson show when she was just a struggling starlet. (They also call her "Nutmeg", she said at the time.)

And the tone of the message is airy, pretentious, and condescending, which fits Meg's known speaking and writing style to a T.

Here, for example, is her "goodbye" note from her blog The Tig:

Sentence length and structure are similar in both writing samples. And like Meg - "inspiration, support, fun and frivolity" - the anonymous poster to Skippy likes to use thesaurus-length words.

The writer is going for "sounds educated" but ends up somewhere north of "sounds pompous and insecure about her education."

The anon is also prone to California-type expressions about negativity and reality.

Here's one more, where the anon starts out with the expression "Oh, honey."

Either she's been watching old episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 3 (shout out to Trixie Mattel) or she's been hanging out with the fabulous types at Soho House in London, or both.

The writing styles match up pretty well, in my opinion. If you'd like to do more research (and have a strong stomach) check out the piece written by Meghan that ran in Elle about the time she was promoting her relationship with Prince Harry.

It's all about her deep commitment to charity (since abandoned) and although it's undoubtedly been through Elle's editing process, the tone still sounds like Meg.

Just included that last paragraph for the shout-out to (since abandoned) Dad. But yeah, the grandiosity, the pomposity, the tone and rhythm sound a lot like Skippy's anon.

My personal opinion: The anon is Meghan Markle.

Edit February 4

The anon sent Skippy a new note yesterday, February 3.

February 3 was also the day when several other middle-aged lady bloggers, including Skippy's frenemy Jersey Deanne, were "outed" in the Daily Mail, complete with real names and photos.

The anon, whom I assume is Meghan, is on the warpath against working-class Tumblr bloggers.

It ain't fittin', it just ain't fittin', as the great Hattie McDaniel once said.

Anon has too much free time on her hands, and she should be more concerned with what will happen to her when the royals finally tire of her geriatric ass.

Well, all of her success so far has been based on ceaselessly promoting herself.

It's how she raised herself up from one of 24 bimbos on a game show to international fame.

Now that she's there, however, she doesn't know how to STOP promoting herself.

She can't understand why it doesn't work on the British people, but it doesn't, because it's a culture that values restraint and a sense of wry humor about oneself and one's surroundings.

Pushy celebrities in Britain, the Katie Price types, are seen as buffoons, not someone to respect or emulate.

the fact that anon keep calling Meghan "Meg" - just like we heard Harry call her (meaning this is the name she like being used), never saw anyone call her "Meg"

You're right about that. The anon also repeatedly uses the word "kindness" both in the first message here and in another message sent today. "Kindness" is a Meghan word; you'll notice it frequently in her speeches, and she launched the #hellotokindness campaign recently in co-ordination with Hello Magazine.

I think you are right about Anon. And 'international fame'? Only because she married Harry. I'd never heard of her and I have followed the BRF for years. Loved Diana, my boys are just a bit younger than PW & PH, and it just broke my heart (like the rest of the world) to see him walking behind his mother. I always thought that was a cruel thing to do to a child at that age.

And yeah, word is out Downstairs that she is behind the rampage. She went against US bloggers because the laws are looser here regarding libel. However, since this whole thing was published in a UK periodical, there might be grounds for suit in the UK, which would mean a big money payout because Meg would have to actually PROVE that the things she says have happened did really happen. She doesn't want to see a royal OB, and she would need a doctor's help to prove any of it.

That last comment to Skippy about her brother is absolutely vile. MM showing her true, nasty colours.

On ig @sparklemarkle has images of the shape-shifting baby bump. But why though? Why are these levels of lies necessary? She is looking quite unhinged.

I liked her. But her shenanaigans are starting to become quite obvious. The fake baby bump? Really??? I would have thought she was better than that.

I tend to agree the anon is Meghan. Definitely the writer has a modicum of intelligence and knows enough about British etiquette to write Duchess when referring to Meg, yet interestingly doesn't give the same respect to the sovereign when they refer repeatedly to the queen rather than Queen. If it is Meghan then it provides a curious insight into the family dynamics and where she feels she ought to sit in the hierarchy.

Is This the REAL THING THIS TIME? or is this just stringing people along?

Recently there was (yet another) post somewhere out in the world about how they will soon divorce.  And my first thought was: Haven't I heard this before?  which moved quickly to: how many times have I heard this (through the years)? There were a number of questions raised which ... I don't know.  I'm not a lawyer.  One of the points which has been raised is that KC would somehow be shelling out beaucoup money to get her to go "away".  That he has all this money stashed away and can pull it out at a moment's notice.  But does he? He inherited a lot of "stuff" from his mother but ... isn't it a lot of tangible stuff like properties? and with that staff to maintain it and insurance.  Inside said properties is art, antique furniture and other "old stuff" which may be valuable" but ... that kind of thing is subject to the whims and bank accounts of the rarified people who may be interested in it (which is not most of us in terms of bei

A Quiet Interlude

Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

Christmas is Coming

The recent post which does mention that the information is speculative and the response got me thinking. It was the one about having them be present at Christmas but must produce the kids. Interesting thought, isn't it? Would they show?  What would we see?  Would there now be photos from the rota?   We often hear of just some rando meeting of rando strangers.  It's odd, isn't it that random strangers just happen to recognize her/them and they have a whole conversation.  Most recently it was from some stranger who raved in some video (link not supplied in the article) that they met and talked and listened to HW talk about her daughter.  There was the requisite comment about HW of how she is/was so kind).  If people are kind, does the world need strangers to tell us (are we that kind of stupid?) or can we come to that conclusion by seeing their kindness in action?  Service. They seem to always be talking about their kids, parenthood and yet, they never seem to have the kids
