A quick change to the blog

Many commenters have noted that they have had trouble posting, and I am sincerely sorry for that.

I know how frustrating it is to write out a thoughtful post and have it eaten by Blogger, because it has happened to me as well.

We're going to do a quick experiment with non-embedded posts, which may make the site more stable.

The negative is that on some platforms, it is not immediately clear which comment you are replying to.

Therefore, you'll have to @ the previous poster - ie "@Mischi, I agree with you on this point."

You can also refer to a specific previous post by putting it into italics: You said: The Royal Family must know what is going on.  To do so, just put a < i > at the front of the italicized area (eliminate spaces) and < / i > at the end.

Let's give it a go.

Always "Select All" on longer comments and hit "Copy" before posting your comments if you're on a platform that has a tendency to eat comments/posts. That way as soon as you realise your post wasn't posted, you can just paste it in and try again instead of having to write the whole thing from scratch again!
Nutty Flavor said…
@Scandi, that's a great idea.

Some browsers also support a form recovery plugin - in other words, it keeps a temporary backup of whatever you've typed into the little field.

Google "Form recovery plugin" to find one that works for your system and browser.

@Nutty,

Embedded or not embedded there lies the question! Lol

I use to do the whole copy and paste thing, yes it saved me retyping the whole thing, but it still wouldn’t post at times! Grrr! This is a strange format to post in, but if it works for more people the better!

Hello nutty, I can still post with ease. Didn't have issues before. In unrelated news, I notice only daily express and sun had pics of Harry's photop in Angola on their cover. Express had a full cover while sun gave him a small ear piece. I'm shocked that establishment papres like telegraph and times didn't put him on their cover. Even daily mail didn't mention it. What do you think is the reason?
Rainy Day said…
Hmm...DM’s Mail on Sunday is featuring the Duchess of Cambridge in a very flattering piece that mentions at least a few times that her priorities are Queen, country and family. I’m sure the magazine piece was planned for ages, but after MeGhan’s recent comments that pretty much indicate she’s her own #1 priority, the timing is wonderful.
Nutty Flavor said…
@Nelo, I don't know about the print version of the Daily Mail, but the Harry story was featured prominently online yesterday. Last time I looked it had nearly 9000 comments.

Since it happened early yesterday, editors may have thought the story was "too old" for today's print edition.

Nutty, this fix might give you comments on a DM scale! LOL. Seems like a lot of folks were having trouble posting. You're so right about the comments on the Telegraph article. They are brutal! I always picture the typical DT reader as being a portly & prosperous Home Counties male who is probably a reflexive monarchist. The comments sound as though they're from rabid Morning Star readers. 'Get rid of the lot of them' is seen more than once. Some might trolls, but usually the comments on DT are anti-Megs, but pro royal family. I have to agree with all who say the RF needs to step in.
CookieShark said…
The Telegraph article comments are very telling indeed. One of them highlighted the issue of MM's telling the women at mothers2mothers to get down on the floor with her. This had been raised in a prior post, but it struck me this morning how culturally offensive that could be. Additionally her choice to give these women Archie's hand me downs is quite offensive. It also seems odd that she wouldn't hold on to them in case she has another child?
NeutralObserver said…
I'm so sorry the UK has to go through this turmoil surrounding the RF, especially during the Brexit debacle. The RF could have been a unifying & reassuring symbol in what is a very worrying situation. Polarization seems to be the norm everywhere, unfortunately, especially as there are so many serious problems to be addressed.
Nelo said…
Nutty, I usually go through British media covers on BBC website and like I said, besides daily express which I don't take seriously and sun which gave Harry and ear piece, his pics didn't make the cover of most. I agree that editors may have thought the story won't be fresh, but pics of George's birthday, Charlotte and Louis were released early and they still made the cover of all the papers expect Guardian. Don't forget that BBC does newspaper review every day on TV. I would have expected that the recreation of such an iconic pic will be used generously by all the media irrespective of when it was released.

I usually did not have problems with posting ever under the old way (Chrome). I agree with Louise about the following conversations and placement of a comment.

Greetings all: I am a Chome user.
I had no problems with the previous platform. My problem was the length of a blog post (this is a tip of the hat to you Nutty for having such a great blog!).
Perhaps going to a cut off - say 150, and starting a "new" blog with the same name but page two would help.
IMHO - there will be too many @s to attempt to follow a conversation.

Getting back to the fun of Megsy...(and so excited to be able to post!) read about her secret visit to the Post Office where the tragic rape and murder of a young girl took place. Supposedly her ROP would allow no photos and today, 2 days later, there is a post on their Instagram. She probably did not like the attention The Duke (reminds me of what Wallis used to call David except I read she pronounced it The Dook) has been getting.

Hello Nutty,
I love following this blog, and appreciate the time you put in to tweak/maintain! I am happy whichever way you choose to continue, as there are positives and negatives to both options. Either way, I am going to get my Royal Nutty Flavor fix! However, if you do want more options, you might consider moving to another hosting site altogether. One I follow (The Wartburg Watch) uses wordpress I believe. Comments are added chronologically, but you can tag people which makes the continuing conversations easier to find. One thing I specifically wish for your blog is that I could "upvote/agree" with comments. Sometimes I want to support specific things without actually writing a post. My two cents -- but still will thrillingly follow along, whatever you choose!

By the way, what happened to the Smart Work clothes that she promised to wear on this tour?
I use Safari and the only way I can comment (sometimes I can’t) is to go into incognito or private browsing, unsure if it will work for anyone else. I did put this solution on Nutty’s blog a while ago and suggested she disabled the embedded comments. However, I do prefer the embedded comments, as others have said, you can’t create a comment thread this way and it’s hard work to follow...moreso on a phone.
I've never posted here but enjoy reading, so this test is my first post. Thanks for such interesting content!

@CookieShark re: whether press will cover H&M differently after tour & whether Archie unveiling will help - there's a lot of resentment in readers' comments because Archie was unveiled outside the UK. I remember a bit of that with Prince George on the Australian tour, but at least I think we had had a few clear(!) informal photos before that. Feels to me that the press are tip-toeing around this. I read the Times, Guardian, Daily Mail and Telegraph every day, so that's covering a reasonable cross-section. Articles are mild, but the readers' comments, when allowed, are as hostile as ever and it's really apparent there's no way back for Meghan. The press seems to be in a holding patter. Undecided where to go next.

@Mischi - can't wait for Spitting Image but also can't wait for the next series of 'The Windsors'. Meghan was sweet and tremulous but very new age. Loads of fantastic material there, as for Prince Charles. But they'll have to bring in far more negative (and funny) material to show Meghan in a different light. Mind you, that show has continued for a long time with a Kate that was far too idealised. Ironic now that there are signs the real Kate is becoming more like her 'Windsor's' character. She's showing signs of building up to her future role.

Hello All! The only way I am able to post a comment when it’s embedded is to use google chrome, sign into my google account, then open the Nutty blog and comment. It took me awhile to figure it out, but once I did, it works like a charm. That being said, I agree that it’s easier to follow conversations the old way.

On to the talk. It seems Meghan’s new PR objective is to say she does things in “secret,” but then release the info later to make sure everyone knows about it. Such was the case with the Archie pool donation. FYI Megs, it’s not a secret if it’s done in the person’s name. Now the “secret” visit to the memorial that was shared on their Instagram. Her massive need for attention is disturbing. Also, @Mischi, totally agree that she wears butt pads. Does she not realize that if she wears them selectively it makes it much more obvious that she is indeed wearing them? One day she has a booty and one day she doesn’t. Very strange.

I am going to have to strongly resist the impulse to buy a gaudy tiara, a long stringy wig, and giant butt pads to dress up for Halloween.

Sadly, MM is so far off the radar here that people would just assume that I was doing a homage to reality TV.

So refreshing to be part of a blog where the people on it are clever, witty, humorous, intelligent, respectful and just plain “kind” (sorry, couldn’t resist) to whoever posts. Harry, by his own admission is clearly in a fragile state mentally so the RF will need to tread lightly, for fear of pushing him over the edge, if they have plans to shut down this insanity that the two of them have brought to them. Harry appears to be getting weaker but Meghan seems to be getting stronger and now with Archie out in public she is completely out of control.

The Markle "pregnant" again? Ha.

If she were truly only one month pregnant, then that is far too soon for most women to have even missed a period yet for certain or have any symptoms of early pregnancy. It's too early even for a doctor visit to confirm this, and yet 'she knows'. Is she claiming she went down to Boots before they went to Africa and peed on a stick? Maybe she did it on the plane over while Archie was sleeping on Daddy's chest.

She is just so bleeping predictable. Also the timing of the 'announcement' is suspicious, coming as it does just two days after the Yorks scooped the Sucks It tour with Bea's engagement. Harry cannot stand to even share a car with her these days, so the chances of her being pregnant, now or last year either is as likely as the Cleveland Browns winning the Super Bowl. If you're a Brownies' fan you know that means somewhere between 0% and "You've GOT to be Kidding!"
Hikari said…
@Illona,

The Markle is going to do herself one better in sabotaging Bea's wedding. Last year she upstaged Eugenie's wedding by pregnancy-signalling with a huge unbuttoned coat. If she's 9 months pregnant next spring for Bea's wedding, she can pretend to go into labor!

God help us all. I hope that she will be removed from this family before then. The frayed nerves of the world can't take much more of this. As for Harry, I'm deeply concerned. He is swirling the drain. Without an intervention I fear that he is going to hurt himself, either accidentally-on-purpose or straight up self-harm. I think Harry is a suicide risk or an overdose waiting to happen. I really do. That's what Narcs do--sap their victims of the will to live.
JenS said…
I don't believe any source could know that's she's "one month" preggers. I like what @Hikari said about this: most women aren't even sure at that point unless they're sick (and M doesn't seem to be).
This is either a deliberate plant by M/her PR to keep up the "happy couple" nonsense and counter all the rumours/proof that the two don't even cohabit, or foreshadow an announcement (probs during the Pakistan tour).

She might do it to forestall the divorce. Can you imagine the sympathy she'll get, and how bad the RF will look, if there's a separation/divorce announcement after she announces #2 is on the way? She may be counting on being able to trap them that way and buy herself more time (to merch and set up post-divorce income, of course). Poor Harry, if this happens. I don't think he can take it.

I can't imagine anyone but her fawning US stans will be happy about a baby announcement; she's already alienated too many people, especially the Brits who pay her way. They won't be thrilled.
Mimi said…
Harry brought this creature in and unleashed her on the world and it is my opinion that only he can get rid of her. It seems that he is unable or unwilling to quit her in anyway as I would think he could very easily refuse to have her at his side at personal appearances. When out in public with her he still appears to be besotted with her and it looks to me like he is even more into her now as evidenced by the way he is constantly putting a loving hand or arm around her back, shoulders or waist, reaching for her hand, and looking at her with that pitiful adoring look in his eyes. It is my opinion that she has an extremely strong grip on him and he is terrified of her and of crossing her. Should he ever come to his senses and asks her for a divorce I can just hear what she’d say to him.....”Go ahead! Try it! I will make your life a living hell!”

Summary reaction to multiple posts:

I am guessing Meghan's Mirror is run by Jessica Mulrony. Not related....but definitely connected!

I am hoping the RF will massively intervene once they return to English soil. If the story is true that they were in two separate cars post Italian wedding (one with RPOs and the other without) they could order Harry's car to be driven to an in-patient facilty, and drop Markle off at a hotel (since HMTQ owns Frogmore and any other official residences). Yes, it would be ugly, but they could easily just cut her off and put him in care. Then after treatment, if he refuses to divorce, he is banished.

Finally, if she is truly a Narc and he has been used as her "supply" he has been truly suffering abuse. Yes, he is still an adult and is responsible...but he is truly not mentally healthy. It is a perverse state of affairs where we should sympathize but cannot ignore.

@Louise, I believe Charlatan Duchess & Skippy have done exhaustive blogging on Meg's ties to the Meghan's Mirror crew. The thinking is she's getting a cut of everything they sell. Everyone comments on her inconsistency in the way she presents herself. I think we're all shocked because we're used to highly professional marketing. & presentation. I feel her stuff is DIY. She does stay on brand, though. She's getting pics out there of her being 'a caring humanitarian & loving mom.' I think her professional team of pr advisors are very good a placing her stuff in outlets where they think it will do most good, i.e. American women's mags. A lot of politicians in the US make a concerted effort to go after the 'low information' voter. I think Megs is going after the low information consumer, whom she can sell the dreck she merches to. Soon after the engagement was announced, the Telegraph did a story on a good-looking British designed and made, ( I believe), handbag which sold out almost immediately. It was a nice bag, & British. I don't know why she didn't stick to products like that. Not enough global reach, I guess. Perhaps the mass producers can afford bigger kick backs? This is all pure speculation, of course.

I'm not sure she's merching the Madewell top in the obvious way, i.e. receiving a cut of each item sold. I'm beginning to wonder if she has received a large lump-sum donation from JCrew (parent company of Madewell too) to the Sussex Foundation for wearing their items. She's been wearing JCrew or Madewell in almost every public appearance involving casual clothes since the US Open in NYC. Maybe her whole trip to NYC was to arrange this?

@annie31 Yes - now that you mention it. I mean Meghan wearing JCrew/Madewell might just be her choice, but getting Harry to wear JCrew suits when he's got Savile Row and they were using money from Charles anyway for their clothing budget...really starting to wonder. And this would start to make her New York trip "just to support Serena" to seem a bit less weird and might explain the ambiguous remark/possible shade made by Serena about the whole visit. I mean, Serena's been winning lots of matches before she ever met Meghan and had her support...maybe Meghan's main purpose was to be in town securing foundation monies for clothing merching and used Serena as an excuse? Like Ralph Lauren (parent company of Club Monaco) gets the dress in Archbishop Tutu photo-op for x-million dollar donation to my foundation, JCrew gets x-number of photo-ops on the SA tour in exchange for x-million dollar donation to my foundation...and so on. H&M has a corporate office in Park Avenue, which would be way more subtle than flying to Stockholm. It was strange she went completely off-radar in NYC. My tinhat is probably on too tight though lol.

Royal Fan, you are not wrong. I have commented before that in addition to glowing PR about MM, there are far more negative stories than ever about other members of the RF.
This negative press correlates with her joining the RF, although it could be a coincidence.
Just yesterday there was an article about MM fans questioning Beatrice's engagement announcement timing.
Seriously? She couldn't have 48 hours to just enjoy her announcement before the mudslinging started?
What about questioning why on earth she supposedly had to announce her pregnancy at Eugenie's wedding? Especially since, according to their own timeline, she would have been very early along?
The way the others have been torn down in the press, especially Kate, it's a miracle they can keep their composure.

OMG. Now Meghan's Mirror is merching a J Crew skirt that Smarkle wore to a private breakfast where she was not seen in public.

Royal Fan said…
@Louise Of course, so MM can get her cut. I wonder how JM set it up? They’ve no shame anymore! It’s blatant merching now!! She marched her baby in front of the world so she’s not going to be subtle anymore. Especially since there have been no consequences thus far!

@Mischi: Thank you for posting the palace web address. I plan to write snd mark it to the attention of Lord Geidt. I want to note that Meghan likely has a profound case of Narcissistic Personality Disorder and that no amount of public relations spin will help this toxic personality type in the long run. I plan to suggest they consult a psychiatrist or psychologist who specializes in NPD, particularly in cases when someone is married to a person with NPD. They might be so insulated that nobody has told them that Meghan has a personality disorder. They most likely know something is wrong, but nobody has either had the spine to tell them they have a woman who could
threatens the very existence of the monarchy in their midst.

And the DM has a "nice" article on how this tour is undoing the problems. NOT according to the posters.

One specifically mentions that no British firms are promoted.

From what was posted earlier about J Crew and the appearances on this trip, I am adding one and one.

I really hope this posts. I’m still in Safari and I usually have to switch to Chrome if I want to post.

Harry and Meghan asked to be invited into someone's home. That family spent time and money on making food for them. They only took a bite out of the food that was offered to them.

@annie31 and @Marie. That was me who posted about Harry’s grey J Crew suit! It retails for US 650, and it’s from their Ludlow line. Definitely not high end.

Also, I’d be interested to hear from any other mothers or observant folks. Does it look strange that Meghan always carries Archie in front? I definitely remember my baby-lugging days, and I always carried my little one on my hip and switched sides so my back wouldn’t ache, and that way I always had an arm and hand free for purse, tote, bags or car keys.

@jdubya ... thanks for the laugh! I have to say that one thing I like about this new linear format is that I no longer have to worry about missing comments upthread ... now it's just scroll to the end and catch up!

Ok, it worked. I like the idea of sending a letter to LG but I wonder if it would work if we had one very facile writer write it and all of us sign it rather than many sending separate complaints? My writing skills aren’t what they used to be especially since I’m limited to an IPad lately and I find it difficult to scroll back and forth to reread what I’ve written and edit.

I’m not sure I’m crazy about this new format as we can’t keep a thread running as easily but I won’t complain. Have any of you seen the MM anon puzzle on Skippy’s blog that says that the salad tossing tapes have been sold-ostensibly to HM? As shameless as M seems to be I’m not sure that is any deterrent to her grifting. Not sure she cares who knows what she’s selling as long as someone is still buying. It’s been intimated that she’s smuggling blood diamonds! I don’t put anything past her in her quest to line her pockets.

As far as Harry hoes, I’ve stated before that he needs to be deprogrammed and kept away from her while he gets the psychiatric help he needs. If he’s been documented as staying completely away from M then she would have a hard time claiming she is pregnant by H. In the event that he does file for divorce and she claims to be expecting, I think HM would be fully justified in making her submit to a medical exam. Especially since she already knows the truth about the last “pregnancy”.

Maybe we should expect the shit to hit the fan when they return from this tour and HM returns from Balmoral. She has already said she doesn’t want to hear about them but that’s probably so she can enjoy what’s left of her summer in Scotland. This whole situation has reached crisis proportions and hopefully we can expect it to end soon.

It’s unbearable:

“Speaking to a group of prominent anti-apartheid activists and politicians, the Duchess of Sussex said : 'We can learn a certain amount from the outside, by tracking it through the news, but it's not the same as being able to truly understand what it's like on the ground.

'Much of my life I have been advocating for women and girls' rights, so this has been an incredibly powerful moment to hear first-hand from all of you.”

@JL INSUFFERABLE.

Did Harvey Weinstein's PR firm provide her with a list of buzzwords to spew?

I swear it's like a buzzwords checklist of words to say to appear "woke". If that' what woke looks like, I'm going back to sleep.

Welp hopefully this shows up as previous haven’t.
I think she is pregnant. Her hands want to keep fluttering onto her belly, but she controls them. Harry is on a high, he finally “matters”....except his solo stuff barely makes the news. I work with addicts, and the rumpled appearance, the searching for the next high, etc is such a telltale sign. I can spot him a mile away. And Meghan has her own agenda, so she plays nice.
I am so over the word salad.
On another note, the twitter ThisLittlePetal isn’t her. Too much simplified speech, vague photos, spelling errors. A true narc such as MM only publishes the “best”.

", but it's not the same as being able to truly understand what it's like on the ground." 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

What does this even MEAN?

Even foreign aid workers don't talk like this.

Even the IVY LEAGUE-EDUCATED aid workers don't talk like this.

Meghan. Honey. Darling. You used to be a pleb too.

You were from "the ground" just like the rest of us.

Only the Queen of England who learns what the plebs are up to from her advisors and the paper clippings can honestly say that.

I feel kind of bad for her now...

She has no girlfriends to give her a little nudge when she's making an ass of herself does she?

@louise500, yes, I do have the more comments option, so not a problem. I can read with Safari. but when I try to comment with Safari, it disappears into the ether. So I just use Firefox. Easier. Safari has documented wonkiness.
Scandi Sanskrit said…
Eh nevermind what I said about Ivy League aid workers. That was a stupid thing to say on my part.

A well-educated aid worker would *ESPECIALLY* NOT talk like that.

Speaking of buzzwords, Theranos employees used to use buzzwords out of context just to see whether Elizabeth Holmes' boyfriend (who was known to throw these Silicon Valley buzzwords around even if they didn't know what they meant) would start using them. So they'd use these really techy/bizzy words and he did start using them out of context too. Hilarious.

Her magniloquent speeches make me sick. Where does she get off preaching to people wherever she goes? She has been making her stupid, hypocritical, ignorant, inappropriate, offensive speeches from day one...beginning with her own wedding! I am exhausted! I am taking a break....again! I really mean it this time!!!!!! I hope.

Or is it just like, robotic?
Ellen totally nailed it. What WAS he thinking? And Meowww, I've been watching Harry closely, and yes, I agree with you, his appearance and demeanor certainly indicates he is struggle w substance abuse issues.

Elle, o.k. shhhhhhh, I won’t say a word. I have always liked your posts, the things you say, the way you express yourself, always so intelligent, sharp, clever, witty, so I was a little surprised when you used such strong language in your post to Rach. It made me so happy to hear you say what you did. It needed to be said .... ...straight up, no holds barred. She doesn’t deserve any kind of respect as she just barged her way in and has ridden rough shod over everybody from the day that unfortunate “ice cube-for-brains” Harry brought her to the doors of the RF and the world. I am going to try to take a break because seriously, this entire shit-show, that NOBODY is doing anything about, and that is getting worse and worse with no end in sight is truly wearing me down and making me SICK! But you continue to put it out there, say what NEEDS to be said.....the TRUTH!!!!! Oh, darn....I think somebody heard me.

@mimi: re "ridden rough shod"

over everybody and probably over anyone who paid her for it, too. I guess that's fashionable w/the Christian Grey set.

As for the strong language, I did leave the "f" out lol, does that count?
Mimi said…
yes you did Elle, I noticed that! (leaving the “f” off) and it does count, so you’re still good to go!

Irritating and insufferable as that was, though, it is quite the insight into her psyche.

If she thinks people can that easily forget that she was from "the ground" like the rest of us, no wonder she thought she could get away with saying she "didn't know much about Harry."

Hmn. Fascinating.

@Elle Thank you for the laugh with your perfect posts. I do go in and out of Markle Derangement Syndrome and laughing is the remedy.
And like you I abhore women who sex their way up. BTW re all the flack Harry is getting about dressing badly (@The OnlYRealHeidi, you are right he is using/heavily self medicating) in Angola, I have no doubt MeGain hid the nice navy suit and black shoes he wore for Archbishop Tutu when he was packing. She loves to push him around and make him look bad. Her contempt for him is quite transparent. Meanwhile I think he tolerates her because she is a criminal mastermind and is raking the in the dough via merching, big donations, appearance fees, and God knows what else.

PS Re the New York Post Page Six piece on Markle’s PR, my delighted read on this am is that it is extremely snarky to the point of sarcastic. Using the word “sneaky” in the headline is not flattering nor are the quotes about her visit to the memorial. The Post can be like that. It’s been marvelously snotty about NY’s horrid mayor and failed presidential candidate Bill de Blasio, who it turns out is very good buddies with Ken Sunshine of Sunshine Sachs. This factoid encouraged me because it means Sunshine backed a real phoney and loser in Bill just like he has backed Markle so the firm isn’t great. I also have no doubt that, ultimately, SS’s reputation will be damaged more by the Markle Effect than it will ever manage to help that of the Sussexes.

I just Googled "average cost of solving murder".

£6.6 could solve so many unsolved crimes: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/every-murder-costs-3m-amid-emotional-and-physical-fallout-xqlrd3c90

It says 3million but that's including societal damages I think (like if if the economy lost someone of productive age) not just the burden on law enforcement/the legal system.

In the US, 17m but also the overall cost on society: http://homicidecenter.org/one-murder-costs-17-25-million/

No idea how much per case just on law enforcement.

Sorry to be morbid. I was curious.

@JL:

That PR firm sounds terribly arrogant. It's like the people who run it are so sure of themselves they can handle the most difficult clients nobody else will touch (Weinstein, Michael Jackson). They don't do a very good job, I don't think.

Probably run by raging narcissists with an inflated sense of their own abilities.

@ Hikari I agree with you that PH is in danger of hurting himself. I unfortunately have experience of how a narcissistic mother pushed her son over the edge with her awful behaviour. He was a fine young man who fought to make it on his own but had mental problems (as has his sister) and the mother totally ignored him. No matter what the rest of us did to show him love and appreciation it was not enough. I then tried to help his sister who being a narcissist, too (I did not realise it at the time) used me for a while and then "threw me away" when I was no longer needed. Thankfully I am surrounded by strong family members and friends and I put the whole experience down as a very important lesson.
I like PH and I would like him to get away from her clutches. It doesn't matter if he is privileged and 35. He is a vulnerable human being (I work with the vulnerable and I see how difficult it is to overcome one's problems). As for making mistakes, we all do.

@ Rainy Day. Of course, it's unnatural. All that shielding with the blanket (in hot weather?!) is abnormal. The whole world has seen the baby by now. Why the secrecy? Not to mention that she doesn't even know (or have any natural instinct) of how to hold a real baby.

A Quiet Interlude

Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

As Time Passes and We Get Older

I started thinking about how time passes when reading some of the articles about the birthday.  It was interesting to think about it from the different points of view.  Besides, it kind of fits as a follow up the last post (the whole saga of can the two brothers reunite). So there is the requisite article about how he will be getting all kinds of money willed to him from his great-grandmother.  There were stories about Princess Anne as trustee (and not allowing earliest access to it all).  Whether or not any or all of this is true (there was money for him and/or other kids) has been debated with claims she actually died owing money with the Queen paying the debts to avoid scandal.  Don't know but I seem to remember that royal estates are shrouded from the public so we may not (ever) know. However, strange things like assisting in a book after repeated denials have popped up in legal papers so nothing is ever really predicable.   We are also seein...

The Opening Act of New Adventures in Retail

I keep thinking things will settle down to the lazy days of spring where the weather is gorgeous and there is a certain sense of peacefulness.  New flowers are coming out. increasing daylight so people can be outside/play and thinking gardening thoughts.  And life is quiet.  Calm. And then something happens like a comet shooting across the sky.  (Out of nowhere it arrives and then leaves almost as quickly.)   An update to a law suit.  Video of the website is released (but doesn't actually promote any specific product which can be purchased from the website).  A delay and then jam is given out (but to whom and possible more importantly - who did not make the list?).  Trophies almost fall (oops).  Information slips out like when the official date of beginning USA residency.  (now, isn't that interesting?) With them, it's always something in play or simmering just below the surface.  The diversity of the endeavors is really ...
