What do you think of Meg's dress for Misha Noonoo's wedding?
It has been identified as being from Valentino. Price: 9000 pounds, or $11,200 in US currency.
So far I've heard: "Malificent", "I Dream of Jeannie at a Funeral" "Endora from Bewitched" and "Fredericks of Hollywood Catalogue 1987."
(British readers, I'm sure you have something similar in your entertainment history. Could we say that it looks like something Diana Dors sold off at a jumble sale?)
At any rate, the dress also reminds me of some fancy perfume bottles my mother used to have back in the day.
High-end, bedazzled mosquito net for her trip to South Africa?

I have a theory that he thinks wearing that raggedy thing every fucking day makes him a "man of the people who has to scrimp and save just to get by."
Jeannie may have worn something similar to a funeral, but Barbara Eden would have looked cute in it, not to mention, it'd have been a tiny size.
On account of the ill-advised bling, I'm going to go with 'Sicilian Hooker'. If it were unblinged, slightly more modest and came with a mantilla, I'd go with 'Strenga Nona come to put a hex on the bridal couple'.
Or "Mrs. Roper at a Miami Beach wedding", maybe?
It makes me laugh that Megs considers herself young, hip, and is going after the Millennial and younger market in her own mind. If we go by the disputed 1981 birthdate for her, Megs squeaks (barely) into the Millennial category, at the uppermost, elderly end. Millennials are the former Gen Yers, and the cut-off for Gen X is 1980. The youngest Kardashians, whom wants to emulate so badly are 22 and 23 respectively. *That* is young. As I noted in another topic, I work with some 23-year-olds and, viewing Megs through their eyes, Megs is old. Maybe not quite as old as their moms, but like an aunt. Her 1990s aesthetic was getting dated before they were even born. I did a little informal poll . . they are aware of who she is, but have zero interest in her wedding, her fashion or whatever she's trying to peddle as 'influence'. Megs' age and station puts her firmly into '40-year-old trophy wife' category. I almost said soccer mom, but let's face it, she doesn't have a child she'll be running to soccer any time soon (like, ever. Plastic dolls do not have the necessary animation or flexibility to play soccer.) Their interest is firmly on movie stars of their own age, like Tom Holland (Spiderman). Meghan is not on their radar at all.
In her mind she's the homecoming queen she once was, when she was 18. Her youthful style seems to have evaporated in inverse proportion to how much money she spends on these bedazzled schmattes. Something that godawful ugly shouldn't cost that much money.
If it were a few sizes larger, I'd have to go with 'Ursula' from Little Mermaid. It's truly ghastly, and it's just as well that I couldn't see it from the front. The view would not be improved.
It makes me laugh
BWAHAHAHAHAahahahahahahahaha!
Is Prince Charles really paying retail for all of these gowns (that she will only wear once), is she getting paid to wear them or are they loaned to her like actresses for red-carpet appearances? Would love to know...
Since Misha is a fashion designer, wouldn't Meg have checked with her while deciding on a dress for the wedding? Or did she want her dress to be a "surprise"?
Is it because they need heirs?
A really good stylist would be able to work with the body she has now, maybe do a Christina Hendricks in Mad Man type of voluptuous look.
That said, in many cultures men like a thicker woman. Isn't Rihanna's Saudi billionaire boyfriend supposedly trying to fatten her up?
I agree with the bob cut, preferably with some natural curl. That would get her some good publicity for a change.
Elle, you'll be happy to know TCD is back up, if you didn't see it elsewhere.
Side note: I listen to Adam Sandler's song re: Farley when I need to cry.
Megs and I have no discernible waists and flat butts. As I like to say, I carry my a$$ in the front. I own a couple of belts but generally avoid belts on principle.
I guess the men she used to entertain didn't care that she was short-waisted. I don't think they were in a position to get a really good look at her, if you know what I mean. From what I understand, they were either looking at the pillows or at the top of her head.
She should be wearing empire gowns that skim the body. Nothing tight. Not too much 'float'. V-necklines, nothing fussy. Gem-encrusted netting and taffeta is just wrong, wrong, wrong. It would look slightly less like a Goth Halloween costume in a cheerier color.
Poor Archie must be starving with mummy gone. And aren't they supposed to leave to SA Monday?
snarkysnarkysally asked:
Hi skippy. Took a break and wow. MM anon was right about the wedding. They had to be there especially with who was attending otherwise there would be tons of questions. The vampire negligee looks like she’s advertising for her next job/husband/sugar daddy
Me? I think it is more along the lines of what was talked about some time ago here - where the thought was the reason her colors always were so different than the BRF was that she was being given samples for the next season.
I had forgotten that she had been markled.
As a side note, I work professionally with the 17-30 demographic. I have never directly asked them about Meghan but I know them fairly well. I actually am 37, born in 1982, so really the oldest of the millennials. They don’t look at us for what’s “hot, cool, and new on the scene” or think of us as “young”. It’s more like they aspire to dress and look as sophisticated and settled in their professional lives as the best of us do. Woman in their 30/40s are expected to have achieved that timeless, true-to-self, sense of style that translates well in both personal and professional life, like the perfect scarf, or accessory that makes an outfit. Definitely not wearing too much bronzer, a bad weave/wig, or looking like a sausage stuffed into a dress that’s too small. Even if a woman has gained a little weight in her 30s, it’s expected by now she’s learned how to dress to conceal her worst features and highlight her best. I wouldn’t say Meagain is “hugely fat” but she really needs to wear more flattering clothes that are the proper size. Probably could be summed up by saying “they hope to have their life together by age 38 and a women should dress like her life is together too”
2) Realizing now that all the hype last week for SmartWorks dovetails right into this wedding. On the one hand, it maximizes exposure for both MM and Misha, ok. On the other hand, if I were Misha, I would not want to be trying to coordinate both of these activities within such close proximity to each other. And why didn't MM, as a caring and close friend, arrange for SmartWorks to debut a month before or after or so so Misha could breathe?
I certainly am not a mental health expert, but if MM was truly taken to the Married with Children set after school regularly, instead of pursuing regular childhood activities, she may have adapted to this adult working world by splitting off from her child/teen identity and adopting that of an adult. That doesn't make any of her present behaviors OK. Many of her behaviors make no sense and it seems like she wants to provoke reactions in others.

I've never heard this before .
I'm thinking she's hoping that the RF will pay her to just go away. It looks like Epstein's estate is going to go *poof* because of the Ponzi scheme and illegal trade allegations.
and they just put a story on DM about Meghan talking about gender violence while she in South Africa. This is a country where people are being dragged out of cars and set on fire because they are Nigerian, and she's going to lecture them? It also has one of the highest infant rape rates in the world. Can't she learn to keep her mouth shut and stop lecturing people who are dealing with a crisis?
My problem is that I could see PA being told one thing and she told a different about what was about to happen or motives about it. Those are people who, after all, are into head games. And PA is the one nearest to take a swing at who is still around.
Sad, sad, sad for everyone.
perception it’s pretty piss poor in my not so humble opinion
I'm pretty sure she understands it's a faux pas; and if she honestly doesn't, she's obviously surrounded by traditionalists who would've advised her to be on the safe(r) side of human decency: https://www.vogue.com/article/wedding-dress-code-etiquette-wearing-black
At best she might have a complex about other people's weddings where she consciously/subconsciously feels a need to sabotage all the attention from the couple, and needs to seek professional help to resolve the issue.
I can't believe the amount of time I spend commenting on this jerk because deep down I know she'd be absolutely CRUSHED if people stopped talking about her entirely...
I'd normally spend what free time I have developing my side-hustle, but Etsy's been screwing sellers over since July to impress investors.
Which has left me (and other sellers) feeling unmotivated to put time, energy, effort, watching tutorials, not to mention the listing fees (only to get de-indexed and never appearing in the search results while I still get billed) into Etsy because of it. Not to mention feeling coerced into buying ad space.
I need to get back on track! And cut back on reacting.
But I will keep following the story until the very end... I want to see how she copes with losing all the perks after she's become accustomed to the lifestyle (because I know what that's like). Meghan reminds me of too many of the worst people I've had the misfortune of meeting in my life rolled into one. (And I want to see some justice in this world.)
But I'm not going to comment on every single attention-seeking antic she pulls and give her what she craves.
2. Meghan is a selfish beeyotch.
After seeing the other dresses, I don’t think black is such a faux pas as it might be in North America. I do think Ivanka won the glam and style stakes, and Katy Perry possibly tied with MeAgain for worst-dressed.
They do take more money.
And they've managed to twist sellers' arms into giving free shipping to American addresses which is killing sellers who sell heavier/larger items (like furniture, woodwork, and... goddess sculptures).
Hope the therapist thing works wonderfully for you, though!
It's like now she is asking Archie to select clothes for her.
If not the next best friend then at least somewhere down the line she could.
My guess would be that we'd hear a quite a bit of MN in the next few months. It's probably aimed to generate maximum publicity for nunu's new store in London.
Why now, you may ask? My theory - earlier Noono was married to something Gilkes, moved in the aristo circles lived a plush life, gave no fucks. Around d their separation, and then divorce she was very much out of her exs social circle so she had to make a few ripples and make a name for herself. She has always been rich, but not celebrity famous. Hence all the PR now.

The Sussex’s tour is in 10 days, and most of the articles I’ve seen has been about how it needs to go well, due to all the negative media they’ve received.

RE: Your Fashion Sense
Enclosed please find five bucks. Buy a clue.
't bought anything there recently, but it's been a sort of go-to place for me to get hard to find gifts, especially for the younger people in my life. The sellers I've dealt with have been lovely. A friend's daughter who dealt with Amazon several years ago said that Amazon bullies it's sellers as well. I think Amazon needs to clean up it's act. It no longer has the best prices, & there have been WSJ stories about safety issues in some of the stuff they flog.
Thanks. Etsy's trying to compete with Amazon. Which is all sorts of crazy because Amazon sells mass-produced stuff.
It would be interesting to watch how this particular royal family would cope with being "demonetised" (LOL, you know, like a YouTube channel).
Would they start selling land to the government? The government bought off some of the land my mother inherited (but she didn't really have a choice, they were going to build a road over it).
