Well, the good vibes of Meg and Harry's first day in South Africa were apparently too good to last. Day 2 became yet another of their patented car-crashes.
The most photographed moment, of course, was Meg's very bad imitation of Islamic modesty while visiting a local mosque.
In Meg's hands, the usual dress code - long sleeves and high neckline, long dress or trousers, and covered hair - was tossed aside for a short-sleeved, open-neck dress beneath which Meg appeared to be wearing Kardashian-style butt pads.
She did wear a scarf over her head, but very loosely draped, with hair bursting out all over. As commenter Elle said yesterday, she looked like she was playing Mary Madgalene in a low-budget production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Perhaps since the hair isn't Meg's real hair - it seems to be some extentions or a wig - she thought it didn't count.
At any rate, a party at the British High Commissioner yesterday got a re-used beach dress, and one of Monday's outfits appeared to be a rewear as well. (Although it might have been a re-buy - Meg is a larger size now. No shade, it happens to almost all of us.)
It's hard to make an argument that one is now a very, very frugal person when one purchased a $14,000 Valentino negilgee-type garment for a party just last weekend, but perhaps Meg is trying anyway.
Archie, at least, appears to be the same size he was at his baptism in July. No doubt Meg is encouraging him to avoid growing in order to save money on childrens' clothes.
Harry has looked awful on this trip, crumpled and rumpled and lost. It seems likely he needs some kind of intervention, if he hasn't had one already.
It seems like it would be a good idea for him to be under the care of a mental health professional, and perhaps he is.
Mental health professionals often prescribe pharmaceuticals to help their patients cope with depression and other psychological difficulties.
However, these pharmacetuicals are less effective if the patient is self-medicating with alcohol, cocaine, Molly, or anything else he can get his hands on.
First, however, a visit with Bishop Desmond Tutu is scheduled.
Could Archificial possibly be brought along for a blessing by the 87-year-old anti-apartheid campaigner?
If he was, that would answer the prayers of many people in the media, who are still using five-month-old images of Archificial's first presentation to the world to illustrate articles about the Sussex family.

Rewear and Rewear and Rewear
Meg's doing a lot of rewearing of previous fashions on this trip, supposedly to make a point about being frugal and accessible in a country facing economic challenges. (Or isn't Africa good enough for her fanciest dresses? some commenters have asked.)At any rate, a party at the British High Commissioner yesterday got a re-used beach dress, and one of Monday's outfits appeared to be a rewear as well. Prince Harry needs an intervention
Meanwhile, Prince Harry continued to disintegrate before our eyes. The sixth-in-line to the British throne told an 18-year-old African schoolboy that "he often woke up and felt overwhelmed by too many problems in the world. That sometimes it's hard to get out of bed in the mornings because of all the issues."Harry has looked awful on this trip, crumpled and rumpled and lost. Day 3 of the trip
For Day 3 of the trip, the Sussexes will go in different directions, as Harry heads out to visit other African countries and Meg stays behind in South Africa.First, however, a visit with Bishop Desmond Tutu is scheduled.

Comments
You can see in the photo that the back of her hair on the right is full, while the left side is flat, mot likely from the extension falling down.
She should have worn this to the reception last night and used last night's sundress for today.
I am not adverse to praising the Dumbartons for something they do correctly. Until the debut of the Moonbump Tour last fall, I was rooting for them. But it's safe to say I don't trust a single thing she does or says any more. Her entire being is devoted to facade management, 24/7.
Meghan is 38 according to her most recent birthday. She may be into her 40s if you subscribe to that theory. The typical Instagram influencer is in her early- mid 20s. Meg is pathetically stuck in a post-adolescent mindset. It's kind of hilarious, since the target demographic she emulates and wants to 'influence' are 20 years younger than she and consider her an old slapper, if they consider her at all. She may as well be a hologram. There's no actual substance of a person in there . .just a stewpot of negative emotions and poses.
Just a thought.

There is something amusing as thinking of her targets described as an old slapper (and if at all).
Meg needs to wear colors other than black and white. She looked great in the bright blue dress, maybe a shirt in that color.
Although to be fair, I do think that Megs is a pretty woman & was adorable as a baby & child. When the engagement was announced, pre-disillusionment, I thought there a good possibility Megs & Harry would have beautiful kids.
I can't explain the sway from side to side in the bump video with her walking towards the camera. Baby bumps just don't do that.
With the implanting, the doctors want to follow you closely (you don't get the eggs dropped in and then you won't see anyone until the delivery - especially at her age). We do not really have doctors who have acknowledged working with her and the pregnancy. The whole announcement did not follow protocol. AND how the press was given the information after the fact. There was no need for them to lie (or was there?).
Delivery date: She was all over the map about when the baby was due and that was really odd. People know when they are do and even private people will give a rough timeline (months versus days and hours). And, due dates impact when doctors will or will not allow you to fly.
Boy versus Girl: At that far along, you know which (or someone does). It's not that easy to mistake a boy for a girl for the right colors at your baby shower.
Bouncing on heels: She never waddled but she was able to move about (quite quickly I might add) in an up and down position for a very long time - as if there was no hard mass of baby there or altering her center of gravity. If there were no other factors, I would write it off as quite in shape even when other in shape bodies don't do quite the same but ... the center of gravity shifts and there are too many other questionable things going on which remain unanswered.
The white dress right after birth? You are still drippy and leaky. White is not a safe color. Walking normal stride in heels is up there too but dress color was a jaw drop of why risk it? (and there was something off about her belly in those photos too).
I am sure others have comments but I don't think she carried this baby. I can admit when I am wrong (so I'm looking for an explanation then for the bump left right dance if I am (wrong) and the why lie to people questions).

So, the surrogate did use their DNA after all... crikey!!
She even said that Sammy believes that Archie is a doll.

And for those who think she looked great at Mother2Mother, I say "yeah, whatevs". This is not because I don't like her outfit. It is because that outfit is wholly inappropriate for the event. So, sue me, but I'll win lol.
@NeutralObserver, please do not talk about what happened to Quinn. I'm still getting over my broken heart. The same is true for Downton Abbey. Once they killed Matthew, I just could not / would not/ will not.
There's another slang term in Boston for the moms who have kids and are still squeezing into the FMPs and tight jeans, smelling of wine, cigarettes and perfume. Wish I could remember.
And @Hikari, it's hyenas, not alligators. Hyenas eat their own siblings. These are not happy families.
I can’t think of a better place for this world-changing rule breaker to flip the feminist finger at male domination than at the mosque by showing up in one of her sausage casing mini dresses similar to maternity wear.
Oh, so that would be disrespectful to their protocols and traditions? Well, she has no problem doing it to a thousand-year old monarchy, HM and the citizens of the UK. I guess playing the the Me Too card or the r card wouldn’t work for her at the mosque, would they?
Also a lot of people are calling Ellen a liar for telling porky pies about feeding Archie during her visit and the biggest porky of all, the "tufts of red hair" comments she made.
I feel for the Brits who are deeply hurt that their Harry and his wife would reveal Archie to the people of SA before showing him off first in Great Britain. That is a huge slap in the face, and most all of the commenters in DM and other sites are furious at these ingrates for making such a deliberate insult to them. That act alone was highly offensive.
Adding to this, there is a lot of empathy for Thomas Markle about this as well. His little grandson gets seen by Archbishop Tutu, but can't be allowed to see him. This is a shameful disaster all around. I expect the folks back home in Britain will turn their backs literally on the Sussexs when they return.
I predict that eventually the hard working taxpayers' reckoning is coming. They will be fed up enough to go where the buck stops and demand the queen put an end to the Sussex Royal "brand" at the very least if she hasn't begun to quietly already. If the queen and Charles don't act soon, the people will lay the blame at their feet. It does appear to be leaning in that direction as BP has removed Harry and Meghan's names from their site according to Celt News on YouTube today. It's also suggested that Charles has cut the Sussex's funding.
Poor Archie.
It's bad enough when a child is exploited, but it's heinous when its own parents are the ones responsible for the exploitation. Shame on you both, Harry and Rachel, shame on you.
Now that Archie is fully out, the big reveal done, no internet was broken, IG numbers remaining flat, and much of the British public is PO and many of the rest nonplussed, where does it go from here? Her JC Superstar audition bombed, and though she's a better escort than actress, those days are over, too, so what's next?
Plus her as a mother. Better to be raised by someone chosen by the Queen.
I do think Harry needs some help. I know people laughed at the idea that he is too depressed from thinking about the problems of the world, but I have a friend who deals with that and he said it is transference of the root issues to external things like the problems of the world.
He washed my sins away (oh happy day)
Oh happy day (oh happy day)
Seriously, Archie's coming out song, and they played this?
I'm sorry, I don't know how anyone thinks this is anything other than offensive, ostentatious, absurd, revolting. This whole thing is an abomination and it's a fine example of how far standards have fallen that any of this is acceptable much less "inspirational" or "a change" or WTF else craziness is being said.
Just crazy.
"What I see when I look at William and Kate is a strong team. William is always supportive of his wife in public and furthermore they seem to truly enjoy one another's company after nearly 18 years as a couple. I don't think it's for show, either. The Sussexes couldn't even sustain the charade of their love match happy happy life for even 5 months, so what Kate and William have together is quite special."
I will also add that Kate is an inspiration with her quiet, calm dignity. IDK how she does it, but I so look forward to their tour after this spectacle/debacle.
