What happened to Meghan and Harry's Balmoral invitation?

It hit The Sun late Wednesday evening, UK time: Meghan and Harry won't be visiting the Queen at Balmoral this year.

The story was framed as the Sussexes' own decision, because they felt their son Archificial is "too young" to enjoy the experience of salmon fishing and grouse shoting on the vast Scottish estate.

(Archificial is apparently not too young to enjoy the infinity pool at their rented villa on Ibiza, or a private jet flight to visit Elton John's costume collection in the South of France, or an upcoming journey to South Africa. But, you know. Scotland is cold and the wifi is really bad at the castle. All those thick walls!)

Surprising change of plans

This was a surprising change of plans, since as recently as last week well-connected Royal correspondent Richard Eden was reporting that Meghan and Harry had solid plans to visit Balmoral for an end-of-season trip after all the other royal children and grandchildren had returned to England.

And in early August, the Express - one of Meghan's favorite newspapers - reported that the Queen would be staging a special birthday party for Meghan at Balmoral.

The Sun went so far to describe it as a "birthday tea party."

It is testament to Meghan that she has been given this invite. It’s a huge honour.
They will celebrate Meghan’s birthday, and the catering team will bake a cake to mark the occasion.
Meghan may be a Duchess who can have anything she wants but the Queen is giving her a thoughtful present.
It’s no secret Balmoral is Her Majesty’s favourite home and that’s why this invite is so special and heartfelt.

Now Meg's August 4 birthday has come and gone, and she has yet to set foot in the Balmoral estate.

What happened?

What happened? Did Meg's invitation get lost in the Royal Mail?

Did Prince Philip put his foot down about the increasingly shady Sussex Foundation and refuse to open the castle doors to them while he is present, as he has done with Sarah Ferguson for decades?

Did someone tell them they were not allowed to bring their plastic dolly?

Or could it be true that the Sussexes turned down an actual good-faith invitation from the Queen? Perhaps they were worried about receiving a right royal dressing down from Philip or Princess Anne.

If they did turn down an invitation from the Queen, that would be an insult that would be hard to forgive. Even Diana used to drag herself up to Balmoral, although she wasn't keen on the place.

What do you think?

They totally have to be reading this on the sly. Is it too much to hope that someday, HMTQ will send us all an invite to our own private tea with her so we can hear her call Meg a skank since she can't do it on camera? Oh wait, that might make me as delusional as Her Royal Ho-ness. Ah, but it's a dream that will keep me smiling for a long time.

Harry's an idiot. Let him keep pushing his grandmother and she will give him all his heart desires--life as a private citizen, free to be as anonymous and self-supporting as he wishes, cut loose from the RF. No duties, no title, sent to Coventry for good and all. He'll be the Duke of Windsor all over again, a laughingstock among the celebrities he's so thirsty to cultivate to feel like he matters. In throwing away his reputation and the goodwill of the people, tied as those were to his being a working part of the British Royal Family, not a for-profit personal brand--He does not even glean yet what he's thrown away with both hands and taken a huge shat all over.

Meghan will eventually accept a giant pay-out to bugger off, or else they will find a way to prosecute her for all her various frauds and illegal scams.

Harry is not bright. He does not have the capacity or the brains to preserve himself without strong leadership and financial/emotional support. I would like to be wrong about this, but I predict an early demise for Harry. Either through a drug overdose or other misadventure of some kind. Maybe in 10 years, maybe 5 . . I do not believe Harry will survive to grow old. His current path is only to hell.

Oh wait, that would make us just as delusional as our beloved duchess. Still, it's a nice dream to put a smile on our faces. I'll just go adjust my tin hat a little more and practice my curtsey. :)

Longtime lurker here. I think I've finally figured out how to post after multiple failures. Love this blog!

I wonder if Serena sees Meghan's visit to see her play in the US Open final as Meghan trying to steal her thunder? Serena has been very vocal about wanting to win a major as a mother so she can be an inspiration, and now the story line has shifted to Meghan's visit. I can't imagine Serena is pleased about that. She did not seem very happy to be asked about Meghan at Wimbledon. At the very least, it's a distraction and pulls focus from her. I think she must be seething about this.

Harry made an unannounced visit to Sandhurt to speak about mental health. I believe they will both be making unannounced visits because they are afraid of protests and of being booed.

I was thinking the same thing. Soon, all her celeb "friends" will realise this. The only ones who benefit from her are those lower on the food chain like Jessica Mulroney and Lainey Lee, the gossip.

And 'Unannounced" in the sense that we are just going to show up because no one will commit to inviting us anywhere officially. It's the equivalent of gate-crashing.

I don't think they are going to be able to get away with it much longer. They will be turned away at the door pretty soon . . .unless they are counting on buying their way into places to hawk their faux charities.

Haz hasn't cottoned on yet . . he is NOTHING without his family. Nothing. On his own, he's not savvy, charismatic, good-lookin', intelligent or talented. He's not an orator, certainly. He doesn't even understand the words his wife's got him spouting. His cachet was in being Harry of England, part of that venerable firm. Murkle has filled his head with nonsense that they are a charismatic, desirable stand-alone 'brand'. They are a couple of self-absorbed idiots, nothing more.

Now we're really hearing in detail about how Meghan treats people (on the Australian tour in particular but it's pretty much take your pick) it's more likely than not that a surrogate mother would refuse to give her the baby. How could you live with yourself? You just couldn't do it.

I wish I could get into a time-machine and see how historians deal with this weirder-than-weird chapter of royal history. I keep thinking I'm crazy to entertain the doubts I have about this baby, then I look at our government and think anything's possible!

Thinking of Balmoral and royal obtuseness, I've been reading about when Edward VIII said he couldn't open a new hospital in Aberdeen as he was in mourning for his father and got the then Duke and Duchess of York to do it for him instead(!) Edward was then caught meeting Wallis off the train nearby at the same time, as she'd come to stay at Balmoral. The public were outraged. The Yorks were outraged. Someone apparently wrote 'Down with the American harlot' on a local wall. Apparently Edward thought wearing driving goggles was an adequate disguise.
Preferably nothing that involves her putting on a fake British accent.
Do we really believe she
went commercial?
I definitely think the press want to out them. Once the gloves are off with the British press you really have nowhere to hide a lie or more.

Haz is the new Edward and Meg's his Wallis.

I don't know as much as I'd like to about the murky past of Mrs. Simpson and her motivations for joining the royal family. Certainly she had her eye on the title, the deference, the money, the elevated status of the court and of being a world-wide celebrity royal. Like Meg, she parlayed a skill set in the erotic arts into making connections with a number of influential men. Like Meg, she was celebrated as a style icon (in Wallis's case, with some justification.) It's a pretty sure bet that she had her besotted prince wrapped around her finger and that she was more calculated in the relationship than he. So far, so similar. Add in that Wallis and Ed were Nazi sympathizers (Hitler attended their wedding and made a speech) and it is said that she used to pass British state secrets from the Red Boxes, which Edward would let her rifle though because he couldn't be arsed to her other lover, the German Ambassador . . well, I have little use for the Duchess of Windsor. However, I do think she was an intelligent person, and a sparkling hostess, neither of which Meg can claim. There was a certain amount of 'merching' that went on with the Windsors . . giving interviews and 'style tips' in mags in exchange for payment . . only after their allowance was cut off after the death of George VI. Would Wallis have roamed the globe merching tacky clothes and agitating to get a show biz career kindled? I think she just wanted respect and a place in the Royal family and acceptance in that world, much as the Duchess of Cornwall must feel, I imagine. Wallis would have been better at the Duchess thing, had she been allowed. Meg's been given the opportunity and she's fluffed it up.
A really bad one, that is. 🥴

How kind of you to be concerned about us, Bootsy, bless your heart! I like to read the rampant speculation about what might be going on behind the scenes with Meghan and the Carbon Foot Prince. It is a very amusing and delightful interlude to check in here for the latest Nutty Flavor post and the comments! (I am extremely fond of the comments. Please speculate away, ladies and gentlemen.)

Do I *really* think that the Queen told them to GTFO? No. Do I truly believe that she is thinking that? Yes, I do. I certainly would be. Do I think that anyone in the royal family would ever refer to MM as THOT out loud? No I do not, but I bet everybody thinks it. Yes, I do, too.

I do feel somewhat guilty that the good people of the UK have to listen to the vocal (and written) meanderings of this extremely avaricious faux feminist that would rather live off of a male's income than do any of the hard work on her own. I believe that she needs to move to California ASAP and rejoin the other people in the left half of the bell curve that are ready to purchase what she is selling. She can probably make a fair living being paid for showing up at the openings of grocery stores and the like and signing autographs, but only if she remains married to PH.

@Bootsy,

You are fixating on our suit commentary . . .it's not just the suit alone. None of us are that shallow--we are not ragging on Harry because he doesn't turn up in French cuffs with ironed pocket squares like his father.

Say what you want about Charles . . his clothes can't be faulted. He dresses the part of the Prince of Wales and presents the image which is expected of him. And that is our point about Harry's personal presentation--it's not just about him having a favorite, more casual outfit than Charles or William favor. It's that he turns up at events looking like he doesn't give a damn. He looked no worse in Amsterdam than he has at any other time lately, I suppose . . but that visit to Amesterdam wasn't even an official Crown visit. Haz was hawking one of his faux charities under the imprimateur of the 'Sussex Brand'. As such he can dress however he wants. If Haz wants his personal branding statement to be 'I'm reducing my carbon footprint by not washing or ironing my clothes as I hog thousands of gallons of fossil fuels a year on my private jet jaunts', that's his call. I'm thinkin' he won't be a member of the Royal family much longer if things continue on as they are and he can turn up barefoot and unkempt at as many global summits of hypocrites as he likes, having been chauffeured there by private plane. I guess Disney's paying for the private planes so he might as well spend up.

For the record the ubiquity of Haz's tired gray suit can be backed up by actual facts in the form of thousands of time-stamped images of him wearing it at hundreds of events going back to 2016 or before. Or perhaps he's got 6 identical ones . . unlikely.

If there's one thing which the Harkle show has taught us here, it's to not believe everything that comes out in print, online or elsewhere. If we present alternative pieces from varied sources, including from other avid hobbists of this unprecedented period of royal-watching, we're just aiming to present a fuller picture of the inglorious whole, with all its contradictions. If something is presented here for consideration . . or as our vlogger friends say 'For entertainment purposes only' that categorically does not mean that it's believed as truth. We are just kicking around theories and suppositions and personal opinions, and trying to get to the bottom of what is in fact, truth, where the Sussex duo is concerned.

This is a recreational community and we are not under the same restrictions of journalistic ethos as a newspaper--though the Harkle Debacle and Epstein et. al, has proven that journalistic ethos is pretty well dead and buried in the 21st century. Even once-venerable papers will print anything for click bait and SM followers, even if it means a hasty retraction the next day. But we are not journalists here. We are an online sorority with a common interest. This is an online cocktail party (Crack Babies and Contemptinis are the house drinks) where an often irreverent trading of opinions and gossip should not be confused with spreading fake news. Save that accusation for the outlets that claim to be actual papers and magazines because they have a lot to answer for.

This is not a Congressional inquiry, an impeachment proceeding or a session before the House of Commons . . this little exercise of ours is for fun and also to help us preserve our sanity in the onslaught of the inexplicable. Please just allow us to enjoy our rights of free expression without sanctimony. For someone who claims to not like the Royals (and who identify as a man furthermore) it's a wonder that coming here and reading through so many pages of 'bitchy trains of thought' as posted by the 'catty and unhinged' for the sole purpose of scolding us afterwards for journalistic laziness would be something you'd deem a productive use of your time. If you've got no use for Harry or Meghan or the royals . . why would this community even catch your eye or be worth even a cursory glance? If I may observe, your mode of expressing yourself does not sound particularly disinterested or particularly male, if it comes to that. A male perspective on Harry's thought processes would be welcome, but surely you can do better than 'He looks fine'. If you'd been following this saga for as long as we all have here, you'd know just how many times that suit's been trotted out--we are thoroughly sick of looking at it.

The suit is not the point, after all. It's just one visible symptom of a larger festering problem. Seeking to understand that festering problem is what unites us all. If you think that makes us just a collective of bitches, you are entitled to your opinion but I'd think you'd want more congenial company if that's what you really think we are up to. I don't think this narrative would have caught the rather horrified interest of so many of us here if it were not for the residual affection/concern that we feel for the lost man in the crumpled gray suit. We wanted him to be that hero prince, the delight of England. To find out that that image was so much publicity whitewash and that he's a far less admirable figure being swayed by a stronger malevolent personality hurts. We want this to ultimately be a redemption story for Harry, but first, like any addict, he's got to hit bottom. This is why it's so hard to look away. We just want Haz to be all right and come out of this experience a better, wiser, sadder, more grown-up man. We would root for that. The clothes are important; it's what's on his inside that matters, but that's looking very shabby these days too.

I absolutely respect everyone's gut feelings, instincts, opinions, research, etc regarding "the Christening". Something is definitely fishy, but what gives me pause is that Charles, Camilla, & William all went along with it, even if they were not aware of what was going to happen until after the fact. But that makes no sense since the date & guest list were announced beforehand; Cornwalls/Cambridges could have warned H+M that they do not want to be any more involved than they already are, and issued press statements that as saddened as they are they will not be able to attend this joyous event blah blah blah. But that would make them all look pretty shitty that a grandson's/first nephew's christening would not take priority, especially for 2 presumed future heads of the church. But no way would I expect them to sit by & allow photo shopped photos of the event be published all over the place, especially since I am sure H+M made bank off of them. Same with the welcoming photo with QEII, PP, & Doria, after they just 'happened' to 'run into' Phillip at Windsor. GMADB. I can only hope that there is work going on behind the scenes to expose everything in a glorious BP bomb, and QEII & Charles are waiting until they can do so with the least amount of damage to what goodwill Harry has left. Unfortunately he may be a lost cause, but no grandparent, parent, or sibling wants to believe that of a loved one.

IOW, I got nothin' lol

@AvaC, re the "how Sparkly Skank treats people" bit: I did read some of that. At least one of those "quotes" is lifted from a similar story re Hillary Clinton ("See what I have to put up with!"). In HRC's case the alleged quote revolved around a pair of earrings, IIRC. Those kinds of urban legends morph with time and space, so I don't hold those stories (including the "do you know who I am?" and "fuck off" stuff) too close to heart nor do I repeat them because I know that there are self-seeking people on all sides of this equation (some of the eyerolling youtubers come to mind, and ditto for some of the blantantly faux/exaggerated things I've read from commenters). I'm on the side of adding more truth to this charade rather than more surreal wanderings.

@Elle point taken, although the account from one of those on the receiving end at the recent Smart Works event sounded pretty authentic. @Hikari, history can cast Wallis in two different lights, but the truth is somewhere in between. She was raised in a more elite setting than MM's, (though, as someome from the southern US, I don't think MM grew up "trailer trash," more upper middle-class.) I think Wallis felt comfortable around the royals because she was raised/friends with other daughters of very wealthy Americans (Du Ponts, etc). She was also very funny and quit witted, as you mentioned, a fabulous hostess. One could look at her relationship with Edward as a wonderful love story. A man so in love he willingly gave up the crown of England for her!

However, Wallis, like MM, was very, VERY ambitious and really thought Edward would ascend to the throne and they would rule together. She had not counted on the BRF, public, or press turning their relationship into a constitutional crisis. Instead of a life of royalty, they were shipped off and quickly got bored of each other. Sound familiar?? LOL!!
@Kaye, you’re right about two different versions presented about Wallis. I have the newish book about her and her life and she wasn’t nearly as bad as was made out to be. The establishment was out to oust her, mainly because of Edward, it was really him they wanted to get rid of.

"Nearly as bad" is relative. Hitler was a guest of honor at their wedding. Bad? While posted to the Bahamas, David advised Hitler to just keep bombing London and eventually the British would fold. Thousands of Britons were dying and his brother and nieces were hunkered down in BP. Bad? I believe God averted Britan falling to the Nazis by getting Edward removed from the throne. Those two could have done a lot of damage. Haz and Mez are amateurs by comparison.

Wearing clip on never made sense to me. With all that money going into PR over the years, investing in good veneers so you don't have to mess in the middle of an important greeting/speech/everyday life and fix them would be a relatively cheap long term fix. Compared to the PR money, this would be a drop in the bucket.

I think the invitation to Balmoral was not a formal one. Some families do the same holiday trip every year; it's a tradition, and family members understand they are invited whether they attend or not. The Queen and her fam have done this every year for the past however-many decades. It's not like Harry needed a special invitation issued to him and the missus.

Despite the fake PR, I think there's no way in hell she'd have ever gone to Scotland. If the rumours and tarot readers are right, H&M haven't lived together for quite some time. They're a couple in name only (and when cameras are flashing). If they both went to Balmoral, this state of affairs would be obvious to all. Plus, there's no baby to bring along -- awkward! Oh, and Mugs just can't miss the chance to jet across the ocean again and watch her patron saint BFF Serena lose again.
Haz will probably enjoy the hell out of the two days she's in the US, knowing she can't pop up and stage a scene. I hope he relaxes and has some fun.

The trip to watch Serena may even be a cover or diversion for her real purposes: she could be acquiring a child, a stateside bolthole, and/or possibly some legal docs relating to a separation or divorce.

OR.... it could be seen thru a different lens lol. Let's shine a light on how much HRC is loathed by some people, and see that this may not actually help Sparkle.

And TBC: this is not a political comment at all, this is an American perspective from how much HRC is both loved and loathed. There is no middle ground about how people feel about Hillary (she's a Scorpio, after all). She was most admired woman how many years running (17? maybe), but she is also loathed, esp by the extreme right. So, there we go.

But again, to reiterate, I will not discuss my personal feelings about it either way because

1) this is not a political blog and I've been quite involved in politics and am avoiding the discussion intentionally;

2) Nutty has asked that Brexit not be discussed, so I'm assuming she doesn't want an American political throw-down on her blog either;

3) I find it disrespectful and passive-aggressive when people throw out political opinions here because there are only two choices: address it or stifle one's own opinions. That's uncomfortable, icky, and not fair and that's not why we're here;

4) I'm an American (sigh) and I don't discuss Brexit or Justin, etc., because I know that I don't live it and I think that non-Americans here probably don't have their "finger on the pulse" quite so much either. I've read some very offensive (IMO only) political commentary on here, and I've backed out of those posts.

No big loss, I know, and I'm not beginning to suggest that my intermittent absences bring Nutty's blog to its figurative knees a la Sparkle Skank in BH90210, but what I am saying is that this is a nice community and when politics gets involved in a non-political forum it's negative, destructive, and offensive for a number of reasons.

So said the QoB, this day in 2019.

hahaha. She's like a curse on everything she touches. Let's hope that Archie isn't one of those "things".

It's late (early) here, I've had a testing day, and my usual thorough read is certainly not on point. My exhausted self has not been able to pick out the best of your usual comments, dear fellow Nuttees. I collapsed and opened the bloody DM, and the sub headline read something about this twerp going from Hollywood Royalty to British Royalty?
I'm hoping it's been picked up on above and I can read about it in the morning when I'm more compos mentis but since when was she even noted in Hollywood?

Let me be the first to say, @Trudy2, that Sparkle Skank was never, ever, ever Hollywood anything, much less royalty. She was an unknown, talentless bit part in a mediocre (I'm being nice here) pablumesque series about attorneys (some real, same faux) and Sparkle S. dressed like a hooker. She had sex against the docs (not that I oppose that, just sayin'.) Also, she gave a BJ on 90210. Again, not opposed, just sayin. But to call Sparkle Skank Hollywood Royalty is more absurd than referrent to me, QoB, as plain old royalty (and that's a real stretch to do the latter, but it should not deter Prince Charles from grace and favoring me into that Welsh estate, nor should it deter my favorite of all, Duchess Catherine, from calling me for Crack Babies and hanging with the Cambridge children!)

Also, I checked the stats v Twitter & Instagram. Interesting that politics & twitter are more aligned and marking & IG are more aligned. HRC didn't risk the twitter comment -- I checked, and that matters. For those not involved in US politics, it's a complicated thing, but it matters.
I'm kinda skeptical, but also I'm not. Lol
This is probably going to be a rehash of the baby-shower. Only she will.be making 'surprize visits' for the paps.

It looks like a last ditch attempt to again be 'likeable in the US market' (whatever that means). I just don't get what that means. Are we to believe that the Americans would lap up this shit show just because it's comes wrapped up in black Givenchy, with huge bumbboe bee sunglasses?! That Everytime a shutterbug clicks a picture of her on American soil, a tiny white rose blooms in the heart of an American?! Is she solar powered that she can't function in the dank damp England and HAS to go to America to recharge??!!!!

Sorry! Didn't know it was recycled, and do not know about Plant. (I've been a bit busy.) Is CDAN notoriously unreliable? (I'm just glad that this means that she will not have an OD that the BRF will be blamed for.)
@Elle ... Right on point. The wedding semmed to be designed for display purposes.
I rolled eyes when Harry and Will walked in, Will looked much polished than Harry. And he seemed nervous.

The bride just seemed overconfident, and the moment she stepped out of the car and turned back to give the perfect wedding picture shot, I cringed and promptly changed channels.

Then I switched back on and she was walking down the aisle with Charles by her side, and I was like Huhhh....so now the Thomas Markle nonsense makes sense.

And she didn't blink! At all! But that's probably because she didn't want to ruin a picture with a squinty eyed look. Imagine the horror. (Most of my wedding pictures are like that)

And somewhere in there, there are shots of the royal family sharing the side eyed eyeroll. There's Cam and Kate. Bea and Eugenie just look like they are about to burst out laughing.

And most importantly, throughout the wedding Kate had the same expression she had in the Christening picture.

And then the song and dance in the Church..! In my lifetime I've attended a few of the standard christmas, Easter, weddings at here and there in England/Scotland and my jaw very much dropped to the floor. I was once politely asked to leave a certain central London cathedral because I had a cold and I was sneezing a lot during an Easter service. And I'd paid to be there!

Can't imagine what the Royal family must have thought of the whole 'modernising English weddings' approach.

The whole NYC thing makes a LOT of sense when you think about it... MM has been SUPER passive aggressive with her behavior toward the RF and her marriage. I’m surprised nobody else is talking about how on Valentine’s Day 2019 H was sent to Norway for military duty for the Royal Marines. That was MM’s first married Valentine’s Day (to THIS husband) and they were “pregnant” and apart which certainly would have made her bitter - so instead of celebrating when he got home she took off for NYC for the baby shower. I doubt that baby shower was planned ahead of H’s trip to Norway.

So now she’s made her life in England uncomfortable - probably beyond what we even are aware of - and she “supposedly” takes off for NYC again for another girls weekend. Which makes NO sense ofor any mother of a new born baby. It would crush most mothers to have to leave their baby for any reason - let alone to fly abroad for a tennis match you could see on TV at home while holding your baby. But now she is trying to make headlines for flying commercial and for sitting among spectators at tennis - where there certainly won’t be a royal box she can demand to herself. Or she is just spreading more fake headlines. Either way, she isn’t enjoying her privileged life at Frogmore with her husband and possibly real newborn baby when she’s focused on girls trips and/or planting headlines.

If that baby is real, it’s in for a life time of this nonsense.

Wallis openly courted other men in front of her husband, including one who was bi or homosexual. This man once pulled out his penis onto a dinner plate while the servants were slicing meat and asked them if they wanted to slice that as well. Wallis thought it hilarious.

The rumour was that her husband was impotent because his mother was such a severe and nasty woman, that would be Queen Mary. Wallis was the only woman he could overcome this problem with. That is why he so adamant on marrying her.

I suppose if one overlooks stories like that, history looks completely different. It's really amazing how a few words here and there can completely change things.

I wonder how Meghan will be remembered. If historians go by the newspaper stories, she could come out looking like Mother Theresa (who wasn't such an angel herself)

Botsy, I find it quite ironic that you insist upon fact in a gossip blog. Oh, and did I get the name right?

Beats me, SwampWoman, but Plant seems legit and fair-minded, and Nutty has said that she really enjoys Plant, and I always err on the side of caution when it comes to *any* rumor like that. I like what I see with my own eyes (and intuition counts there) and/or what I can prove, reasonably speaking. I try to throw out anything else out with an LOL or an IMO or both. I really throw out anything that is rumor based on rumor on the websites/youtubes when there is $$$ to be made, and that's on any side of this argument. So, I wasn't using a bullhorn to Speak The Truth Re PHs Blow because I really don't know and ditto for Sparkle Skank. I do know this is wonky as all get out, and I only have my own theories, based on past professional experience, about how I interpret this spectacle de merde.

Also, because I live on the much-maligned-but-actually-wonderful-WC, I just want to say that my besties on both sides of the political fence thing markle is a ho-bag, so maybe don't lump her in with us.

Per DM MeAgain wants to pull a Kim K and ‘break the internet’:

As a American living in NY who has worked in both media & entertainment, she thoroughly disgusts and embarrasses me. How can she continue to get away with being so disrespectful to the RF?? And though she may have plans to move H and her doll collection back here (US), we don’t want her either!

@Nutty, I’ve been a big fan of your wit and commentary since CDAN. Congrats on the success of your blog!

Ditto and agreed re disgust and embarrassment.

So my question for Nutty et al: will synchronistic virtual projectile vomiting re Sparkly Skank break the internet, because if so, count me in. I commit, and that is one thing I very rarely do.

More than a distraction perhaps, given sports people are often superstitious (like actors) and Serena lost last time Meghan graced her with her support. Much more of this and she'll be getting her people to have a quiet word with Meghan's people. Good luck with that one.

"...Archificial sitting stiff-as-a-board in a heather moor..."

Although how amusing it would be, @Trudy.

Totally, OT, but not at all: for anyone who's not seen Lars and The Real Girl, go fast and watch it. Excellent example of manners and love rolled into a charming movie with Ryan Gosling. (I love the sweetness of I Am Reed Fish, too, but nothing related directly to Fauxrchie.)

I think that PH will be blindsided when Sparkle Skank dumps him violently and publicly. I do not think he sees this coming. But when it does happen (and it will), his best move is to spill guts on the Faurxchie. @Nutty, do you agree from a media standpoint?

And yet she said she never reads it ...

After reading this article I feel as if we should all stop right now. Say nothing. Write nothing. Maybe that would get rid of her. But then the BRF would be off the hook as they don't mind indifference. It's probably seen as their safest diet in the long-term, as long as enough people come out onto the streets for major anniversaries to avoid embarrassment.

How much worse can this get?

And whether Harry literally has a choice. He must have burned all his bridges here in the UK by now. Letting the country in for all this unnecessary anger and upheaval at such a time won't be forgotten, either by his family or 'the people'. Reminds me of a typical Victorian novel when one brother establishes himself and the other goes to the bad and eventually disappears. Final chapter, William finds Harry in a dark alley one night, wrapped in sacking, and brings him home for a final sentimental passage about forgiveness and repentance, before he expires on the hearthrug.

Hello all....this is the best blog, so many wonderful, witty comments.
It shows that people that don't like the Sussex's are not all illiterate racists as they claim from DM comments. Many comment sections are now saying they think they will kill off Archie. They will think it a stroke of genius because they will get world wide sympathy and turn around their image.
Many are saying this is how they will get out of it.
Commentors here are the only ones who don't think they will dare. I agree that the monarchy will not go along with a fake funeral. If it came out, can you imagine.? I also wonder if EJ knows the truth. If they really stayed there he would have to know it's not a baby. Would they really let someone like EJ know the truth? I just can't make up my mind if Archie is a doll, it seems true more and more.
Maybe Meghan has had a breakdown after the surrogate took off and the family is letting her have that doll. The family has to know, she could not hide it at the polo from Kate who has 3 children and would see immediately it is not a real baby.
On the other hand I can't see the Queen allowing the meeting the baby photo to be released if faked.
It is so, so confusing. I hope we know the truth soon but I am leaning toward Archie getting killed in Africa.
What a weird thing to type, I can't believe I am even discussing a baby's death but everything is so weird about this baby. If Archie is real then she is not allowing photos out of spite. She hates the British people now and knows they want to see more of Archie so it is a big Fyou, like their backs in photos.
What a mystery.

It seems to me they have about 3 years to find an Archie. They could adopt any child privately before that child has memories of their infancy. BUT the cost goes higher with public scrutiny of the situation AND finding a babe that fits their particular genetic profile is a rarity. It seems their better bet would be to find another surrogate and keep the delayed offspring “private” until it’s seen going to it’s first day of school (a year earlier than ordinary but on schedule for their phony birth announcement). “He’s just on the small side for his age because his mother is so petite.” For any surrogate to hand her a child is a sad proposition for the child.
Anonymous said…
Bacon, you might want to read up on child development. Children have memories of their infancy, just not ones they can articulate in words, but the brain is making connections. If, by that statement, you meant that the child would not have memories to share prior to about three, well, maybe true, although I can still describe my first trip to Disneyland and the undersea adventure which happened prior to 3 yo.

I don't believe Sparkle Skank cares what anyone thinks now, she's not even pretending. This recent week has proven that. The dams are starting to burst like the seams on that Lion King sausage wrap she wore. So, once she starts playing nastier, the BRF is going to have to let loose some more of what has been tamped down. The biggest variable is PH and what he'll do. If he's smart, he'll choose his fam because SS will feed him to the wolves.

KJ Yossman seems to overlook the fact that the "young" couple have their own royal reporter for leaks - Omid Scobie. He's the ex-bf or current casual hook-up partner of Markus Anderson, who acted as the social lubricant for their whirlwind SoHo house romancing. Find the hypocrisy of playing all coy with the actual press vs leaking details directly to Omid rather vulgar.

Is This the REAL THING THIS TIME? or is this just stringing people along?

Recently there was (yet another) post somewhere out in the world about how they will soon divorce.  And my first thought was: Haven't I heard this before?  which moved quickly to: how many times have I heard this (through the years)? There were a number of questions raised which ... I don't know.  I'm not a lawyer.  One of the points which has been raised is that KC would somehow be shelling out beaucoup money to get her to go "away".  That he has all this money stashed away and can pull it out at a moment's notice.  But does he? He inherited a lot of "stuff" from his mother but ... isn't it a lot of tangible stuff like properties? and with that staff to maintain it and insurance.  Inside said properties is art, antique furniture and other "old stuff" which may be valuable" but ... that kind of thing is subject to the whims and bank accounts of the rarified people who may be interested in it (which is not most of us in terms of bei

A Quiet Interlude

Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

Christmas is Coming

The recent post which does mention that the information is speculative and the response got me thinking. It was the one about having them be present at Christmas but must produce the kids. Interesting thought, isn't it? Would they show?  What would we see?  Would there now be photos from the rota?   We often hear of just some rando meeting of rando strangers.  It's odd, isn't it that random strangers just happen to recognize her/them and they have a whole conversation.  Most recently it was from some stranger who raved in some video (link not supplied in the article) that they met and talked and listened to HW talk about her daughter.  There was the requisite comment about HW of how she is/was so kind).  If people are kind, does the world need strangers to tell us (are we that kind of stupid?) or can we come to that conclusion by seeing their kindness in action?  Service. They seem to always be talking about their kids, parenthood and yet, they never seem to have the kids
