Over the next three days, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are scheduled to appear at what may be their final engagements as senior members of the Royal Family.
Today, Meg and Harry will appear at the at the Mountbatten Festival of Music at Royal Albert Hall, where they will hear the Royal Marines Band play a selection of music to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Tomorrow Meg has some kind of activity for International Women's Day - I don't believe a specific engagement has been announced, please correct me if I'm wrong - and on Monday she and Harry will attend a church service for Commonwealth Day.
Putting on their best face
Duchess Meghan and Duke Harry have been putting on their best face recently. In their appearances so far, they have been well-dressed and apparently sober.
Will they be able to keep it up for three more days worth of appearances? And do they have an ulterior motive? Are they looking good so British citizens will be inclined to pay for their security, because they have a deal in the works, or because they want to come back to the Royal Family?
Meanwhile, media coverage since their return has been almost uniformly flattering. Is this at the behest of the palace?
Finally, Meg's court case against the Mail on Sunday is still out there. Will her next trip to the UK be to testify against her father in court? (Harry's phone hacking suit against the Murdoch empire is also ongoing.)

M goes back to Canada. Her block-busting interview with the ten million dollar paid Doria, plus checks in the future, to tell the sad tale of racism in May life. And racism put Doria, for check fraud, among other things (racists dud not want to give me bank money) in the slammer. Plus all the drugs! Racists made me do it. Also, Harry simply cannot pull off the uniform of the Royal Marines any more. He doesn’t have the dignity.
Forgive me for being indelicate, but he looks like one of those little mechanical monkeys that bang their cymbals together until their batteries run down.

Totally agree Nutty. He looks like he's playing dress up and joined the rest of the boys and girls in a cosplay. He's just lost that glamour to me.
Just like some others, I haven’t had much to add but have been checking in. I’ve only now seen the ovation video. It’s such an eyeful and to be honest, despite my having written off JH as a petulant manchild who deserved his lot, his sadness during that ovation put an actual lump in my throat. And to think he had to tell that pushy bitch to let him stand and experience it. What struck me, besides noticing that JH was nearly overcome by his emotion, was how much he looked like his mother in that moment—the biting of the lip and the sad smile. It was a resemblance to Diana that I hadn’t seen in him before. Mother and son with same foibles, similar angry sadness? I don’t know if I can easily find video of her to compare with that clip, but to me, it was uncanny and poignant.
So I wonder if that could be where the British public is with JH at this moment. It’s nothing to do with the gurning maniac at his side, begging to have all eyes on her. Perhaps everyone’s feeling a little sentimental and Meghan is like a little pest—it was as if JH was saying shoo-fly to her when she tried to steer him into his seat. This little goodbye tour is not about her, and maybe she was told so, and thus no Archie as punishment (although I still cannot square “Archie” so never know if he is a pawn in this tale or not).
I agree with those who’ve said it’s just a moment, and after tomorrow, it’ll be back to usual feelings about them. But I see that Harry has a road back if he wants it, and he’ll be welcomed. Perhaps that’s all HM wanted him to see. Who knows.

Take her out of that photo and imagine any man at her age rubbed up against a teen girl, and then listen to the rightful yowling. How is this appropriate for her? @Mimi, I get CDC emails and federal gov't instructions at work, so I'm doing as directed. Probably the CDC has some solid advice, and that is: wash hands for 20 seconds, don't touch face, be careful how you cough, and think about others. Also, use alcohol and bleach wipes when you don't have soap/water access immediately.

I'm only using hand sanitizers with alcohol, ditto with soaps, no antibacterial stuff. There is a difference.
Antibacterial soaps can do more harm than good: "Triclosan and triclocarban are the most common compounds used as antibacterials in soaps. However, other common antibacterial ingredients in soaps include benzalkonium chloride, benzethonium chloride, and chloroxylenol."
HOWEVER,
Alcohol wipes and bleach wipes are not the same and are excellent for specific uses. If you go out, you may want to use alcohol wipes frequently when you can't wash immediately. Bleach wipes are handy for common surfaces (think gas pump and going into the public restroom, for example).
This is also really important IMO, and something many overlook because we live in a self-centric world, BUT
While the people who died may have also had secondary diseases that made them more vulnerable, dying is not my only concern, nor (IMO) should that be anyone's only concern. Getting really sick also puts a big dent into a life. Not only that, but spreading the disease and infecting others, like my 94 year old neighbor whom I adore, is my bigger concern. So, my thoughts on this and how I'm approaching it.

I have been watching The House of Windsor programs on CNN tonight. Very interesting. Frankly, I am enjoying it more than The Crown. I am not a fan of Olivia Coleman as Her Maj. I loved Claire Foy in the role.
If anybody runs out of toilet paper, oh my,,just use newspapers. Or buy low cost wash cloths and wash then boil them. In the Scottish Highlands, I was stuck without any paper. I laughingly used leaves, as everybody used in humankind. Another good thing is make-up wipes, baby wipes, and whatever. It is too funny now. My golden retriever is looking a bit nervous these days,lol. I think white meat, or dark?
We installed bidets. They are low cost (Amazon) and work great! I was quite cross when SwampMan STILL threw a big old bag of Charmin in mega roll sizes into the cart at the warehouse store that was the equivalent of 108 regular rolls. I had already purchased TP a few weeks ago (I hate to go shopping so I stock up big time when I go to town). "Well, there wasn't any!" he said. "Yes, there is." "Well, I couldn't find it." "It's in the same closet that I've kept it in for years." "Well, I looked, and it wasn't there." (Yes, it was in the exact same place it always is.)
We should be good through at least the middle of next year now EXCEPT four of the grandkids are coming to stay with us over spring break and I swear each of them uses a roll a day. *sigh* If I do not return after mid-March, it is because we'll be dead of child-carried coronavirus before either of us have the opportunity to spend our first social security check.
What we do have a surfeit of (besides toilet paper) is eggs. My hens are laying @ 3 dozen a day and I've been told that town officials are closing the farmer's market. SwampMan is walking away quickly when I suggest eggs in any fashion. If the neighbors didn't all have Ring cameras on their doorbell, I would sneak up and leave eggs but they would know who the culprit is and probably egg the house. I have 21 dozen eggs in one fridge, 8 dozen in another, and I've got another six dozen that need washing.
Things are changing so quickly daily that I wonder where we will be with this virus in two weeks' time.

And as I type that, I think how quickly Rach went from being a desperate, grasphing Wanna-Be to a ridiculous punchline* Has-Been with barely a stop in the middle where she never going to be A-List, but she was at least married to someone who was a lot closer than she'd ever been before. Does she have any clue what she's done? From the look on Harry FKAP's face at times, reality is sinking in now.

Totally agree not only are the s]world stock exchanges suffering big loses which are continuing, so are oil prices which also threatens the world economy. Between the coronavirus and the economic chaos it is causing, the Harkles and their foundation/nonprofit or whatever they are calling it these days are a low priority. Soon their presence in the tabloids even the DM will decrease substantially.
The thin white blouse was also out of season, like the blue dress. It boggles my mind that she didn't think about the weather and season. I feel sorry for her, because she's so pitiful, and her personality disorder could be caused by something outside of her control. Yet, my disgust at her cruelty outweighs the pity I feel for her.
1. When i saw the blue dress my 1st thought was that her stylist is definitely Jessica! The style of dresses, esp the back zip on the blue dress is very JM. If anyone follows Jm's work, esp her personal style, you wpuld notice that she favours block colours, monotone, bodycon, and straight-line drapes. The ted dress reminds me very much of MindyKalings yellow dress at the oscars, the hair n all. JM likes to create long lines, she prefers sleeker hair, not updos. Mms back profile in all the dresse could easily be replaced by Jess and we would not know the difference. JM dresses her clients in a way that she herself would dress, no experiments. Its definitly JM.
2. Harry is giving off such passive agressive vibes. If she clips of their interaction, esp the 'war of the thumbs' you can almost feel like he is about to crush her hand in jis grip. Whats with that?? Its not just her controlling him. Its like she wluld drown if she werent holding his hand, he knows it and is super angry. His cadid shots are mserable.
3. Her body language is way off in all the videos. The only time she looked her own wa too cocky in control self was at the school where she is interacting with younger crowd, and the are fawing over her. In all the other egagements, she seems to be more than aware that the poeple do not like her and she is bumbling through it, no matter how good she looks. And harry knows it. He is scowling through it all.
4. The BRF rubbing the happy families act in the publics faces is getting irritating. This time, this is what will rile the public up. Not the harkles themselves but the family pretending like nothing ever happened, and they will have to take a stand. (Just My opinion)
5. This seems to be Mms (and Harry's) version ofo their half in-half out royals strategy. They are showing us that their original bright idea actually worked and they are still liked by all ( blah blah). I feel as if thet whole BRF and they themsleves are actually about to do a u-turn and say they always intended to this 50-50 arrangements, and everyone is happy with it, and see it actually works, and that NO we never said they would stop working. Somethings is way way off.
1. Rach leaving The Goring will fade quickly from memory. Rach is always leaving one hotel or another, hamming in phony fashion for the camera, and after the divorce, she will fade from everything but the QVC network and the tabloid fodder. Kate's stay before the wedding will be the memory associated with The Goring because Kate will be Queen.
2. and 3. The Top Shop blouse and the Blue Dress. No one will remember who wore what (except for the most petty of us (I count myself lol)), but there's no doubt as to who wears everything better. Kate is always classic and elegant. Rach is a hot mess with bumps, rolls, unflattering lines, tugging at herself, and possibly feminine protection pad on display (anyone see that photo?). I see Kate and think "damn, I wish I could put that off!"; I see Rach and I think "damn, I hope that thing doesn't split!"
4. The backlit photo will soon be the one everyone remembers as the copycat photo taken right before the divorce.
Kate is the work of art. Rach is the tramp-stamp. Kate's life and work will be a legacy. Rach's great contribution will be to serve as a reminder of what not to do if you're a prince who gets drunk and frisky. Kate is who our Southern Mothers wanted us to be. Rach is the woman our Southern Mothers threatened we'd become if we ____________ (<<name your poison).
I love watching the David Spade segments where they openly discuss that Rach just wanted to be famous and is coming back to LA now that she did her smash-and-grab with Harry's jewels. She'll never be a success. Hollywood sees her for who she is and what she's done. She's not a threat to Kate and doesn't diminish Kate in any way. And the only way Rach will ever be a superhero is if, as Davide Spade said, "there's a superhero who inherits her powers from someone she marries".

It's not that it may not have happened, but I think just one source is just not enough, especially as there hasn't been any rumours of hints of that in the past.

Stunning that the Sussexes now seem to be setting up a charity that will help injured and homeless veterans.
First of all, that's a terrible charity to steal from, and you have to assume they are going to steal from it, or at least filter money away from it for "appearance expenses" like first-class air fare, Meg's dresses, etc.
As awful as it is to steal from the Opera Fund or Art in Schools Fund or Build a Memorial to Diana fund, it's much worse to steal from a charity whose intended beneficiaries gave up so much and have fallen so low.
Secondly, they have no credibility with the military, as stated above.
Harry turned tail and ran on his comrades to live in a mansion abroad. He no longer merits the uniform, and he knows it.
Meanwhile Meg knows so little about the Military that she chooses an outfit that clashes with their scarlet mess dress.
It's a terrible idea. The Queen should never have signed off on it.
