Has Meghan's moment passed?

I was out to dinner with an acquaintance this past weekend, a woman in her 20s visiting from the USA.

We spoke about the various events in the news, and when a celebrity name came up in the conversation, she said, "I just don't care about celebrities any more."

Speaking of celebrities - or would-be celebrities - it's a tough time to be Meghan Markle, whom according to a hopeful headline in today's Daily Mail, is the most talked about woman in the world.

A devalued currency

Meg doesn't have much to sell besides fame, but that currency has suddenly been sharply devalued.

Many people are wrapped up in political topics, and many are also struggling with their household budgets or their health during COVID times.

Does anyone care about a woman who doesn't seem to accomplish much, her husband who definitely doesn't accomplish much, and their child who may or may not exist?

Three books on the way

There are apparently three books about Meghan on the way - one by Lady Colin Campbell that will be published very soon, one by Omid Scobie (written with Harry and Meghan's input) due in August and a newly-announced one by Sunday Times writer Sean Smith set for publication in November.

A separate book about the feud between Harry and William, due for release in October, will inevitably touch on the Meghan drama.

But the world is moving on quickly. Will there still be an audience for these books by the time they're published?

The Mulroneys are Markled

Ben Mulroney is "stepping down" (was terminated from?) a job on Canadian television, supposedly due to his wife's feud with a Black influencer.

Based on his short "struggle session" video, Ben seems insufferable, but in general I don't think it's fair for people to be punished for what their spouses get up to.

Perhaps Ben has some other incident in his background that we haven't been privy to, or maybe CTV wanted to make a change for other reasons and this was a good excuse.

Meghan's failure to stand up for either of the Mulroneys won't benefit her in the long run, however.

She appears to be quickly running out of friends.

I am also not sure Meghan has really dropped JM. I think Megs did what she had to do to be on the right (er left?) side of the issue There will probably no public interaction between them for some time. But I think that after awhile, there will be some 'reason' maybe a crisis, perhaps feigned, where Jessica will return to Megs open arms. I think MM will play it by sating JM took a leave, got educated and now is a repentant person who has learned her lesson. Then JM will make some overture to the AA community, maybe even a show with makeovers for mixed race ladies and Megsy can be an on-show consultant ( a success story of beauty) hosted on Ophra's network or cable affiliate. But whatever occurs, MM needs JM for more reasons than JM needs MM.

Hi, Nutties!

Re the lawsuit “by Archie.” Hmmm. It sure seems like Meghan set up those photos. But that was pre official Megxit, so technically, she couldn’t get directly paid, right? What if she has made a back room deal with Splash that they take the photos, she then sues, and then after Megxit, they “settle” for a small sum and a public apology that it was a misunderstanding of Canadian law, as she was on public soil?! Meghan gets paid, Splash doesn’t look that bad, bc it was a public area, and she hardly looked distressed, and they made more distributing the pix than they paid her, THAT might be why that photog On Twitter busted out and said this is bad for the STAFF.

I am also seriously disturbed with the allegation that Meghan may have told Harry there may have been sexual abuse by her father?! Yet this never came up with Trevor before their wedding?! Just the eve of the wedding to Harry? It’s against every fiber in me to distrust an abuse story, but this is really not sitting right. It really feels more part of a narcissist’s smear campaign than a painful disclosure by a survivor of abuse, and that makes me feel so sick.
I'm going to go watch a light-hearted movie to get my mind off of all of the hatred being spewed here and in the world at the moment. I'm not sure if I'll be back.

The internet has brought us so many wonderful things, but it has also brought so much hatred and division with it. Sometimes, backing away from all of it for awhile is good mental therapy.

In the meantime, thanks to all of the wonderful Nutties who have brought so much good info and thoughtful discussion to this blog. I hope we can go back to a civilized and adult discussion of MM and Just Harry.

The more that I ponder this question, the more likely I think it is that the trolling is an attempt to shut us down.

I really missed the blog last weekend. Whenever I pick up on some new Hamshenanigans I want to come here and laugh about it with you all.

The trolling is worse, and it's uglier. And I do believe some of the trolls are impersonating members in order to get a rise and provoke a response. I thought the bickering had blown the blog last week. What a shame that would be.

@abbyh
I like what you said: I don't want to be the weak link that caused the failure of the blog. We really are stronger together, as cliched as that sounds. Remember: she really does have an army out there. What she can't inspire, she buys. And they live to break things.

@D1
A generous offer. Thank you! We need to figure out where to go for instructions if it goes sideways on us. No, not MI6.
Although I sure would like to ask a few questions there, I can tell you. ☺

I was going to say I don't really believe in conspiracy theories, but then I realized that was a complete lie. Of COURSE I do! LOL! (Polishes tin hat lovingly)

Stay safe, Nutties!

FYI for the future if you were interested in British books, I have ordered my copy of lady Colin Campbell’s book through Book Depository UK. I have always received excellent service from them, though I am prepared to wait a little longer than normal this time because of Covid. At the time I place my order, Amazon was sold out for pre-orders, and they have since gotten more in stock. I have become disillusioned with Amazon, and in the last couple of years I search out alternative outlets so I don’t have to order much from them. Book depository offers free shipping internationally And I also used them For sending a book gift to a UK-based friend that would’ve been monstrously expensive to ship from here. This company also stocks American best sellers. It’s like Amazon but they only specialize in books, like Amazon used to do.
Dear All,

How many of you believe members of the Royal Family are reading Lady C’s book? And if so, which members of the RF??

I’d expect Kate and William, and Charlie and Camilla to do so....What do you all think?

Thanks!

@WBBM I like and agree with your posting. I feel Harry wanted away from RF but didnt have the nerve or drive to go it alone. He strikes me as really passive. Like he would probably have lived his days in RF pouty and resentful entire life without a girl to take on the journey, he would not have left. Unfortunately, that girl was Meghan Markle.

With any other non-fame seeking girl I believe we could have had entirely different Harry. Living on his dad's farm doing the organic thing, half year in Africa. Started a true family. He is dimwitted and impressionable ,he would have went along with any girl's dream, could have been a good one but She chose him

Blackmail is a good angle but my mind is on her telling him she was pregnant then faking a miscarriage, dastardly I know

As dim as he is I cannot imagine him complying with the fake pregnancy UNLESS she faked pregnancy then tragically "lost" the baby and then somehow convinced him it was "better this way" to carry on with fake baby

Even if they were no longer intimate for whatever reason he had to have known she was wearing fake baby. It also could explain all the bizzaro world surrounding Archie and Harry's obvious lack of interaction with baby. But I do believe it is his biological child. Makes this all so crazy

Blackmail would be vicious but I do not put it past her. Just sad because it never had to be this way ,obviously self medicating, shell of a human. Meghan doesn't care he is just a means to an end

@Unknown ~ Agree with the scenerio. Forced into marriage via pregnancy (fake) then forced into the surrogacy through which Harry's participation provided the blackmail leverage.

For what it is worth I liked the earlier suggestion of Reddit for blog. I cant imagine it is too difficult to setup a subreddit and I bet most are familiar with it. I haven't been there in years for shallow reasons, so no one would ever be able to write "doggo" or "yay reddit we did it!" But I would go back for Nutty blog. This could remain here if after trial we hated it for whatever reason

Maybe it would lead to incessant banning but it probably would be easier for Nutty to have couple moderators, but then I don't know how 500+ comments would look on a post . Not shading Nutty whatsoever. Maybe one day make it to front page haha

Your summation of Harry as a bum idle toad spoilt irrevocably by by his Royal privileges sounds spot on. I also agree wholeheartedly That the thing with Meg started as all Harry’s amours do...An international play boy party prince out for a good time without strings. Meg would have been willing to provide the kind of companionship he was looking for. It’s instructive that around the very same time he “met” her, he was also romantically linked with one of her yachting colleagues, a gorgeous brunette model Significantly younger than Meghan. MeGain set her cap For her prince Who had most likely forgotten all about her during the many months he was off playing polo in Europe and having no contact with her. But she did her Fatal Attraction style stalking capped off with some coercion and the chilling performance at Invictus where HRH was reminded that “I won’t be IGNORED, Harry.” Why else was her pimp Marcus Anderson there except as her Tim Hagen(Mixing my movie metaphor as I realize)...Her and force her to present Harry with evidence of the very bad thing they had on him.

Hazza should never have capitulated. Unless Marcus had a snuff film in his possession starring Harry in his all together, Some footage of the ginger haired prince doing below, or even cavorting with a man would be pretty old news as far as Harry is concerned. He’s been a wild child since he could walk. Whatever leverage was used on him To destroy or his family relationships in his own international reputation have to be worse than anything we have previously seen.

As for what Harry is possibly fit for to make a contribution to the family and to the world, so far it hasn’t been found without a lot of glossy image management a.k.a. lies engineered by Edward Ln., Fox and others. Upon Harry’s marriage, Charles wanted to give him that green self-sustaining estate on the Welsh border. H and M Could’ve had a great life up there as the Lord and Lady of their manor, And with a little bit of humility and willingness to work, could have learned about working the land and set up their own farm shop and social media presence such as Charles has with the Duchy of Cornwall. That would’ve provided both purpose and a retreat to offer the privacy they claimed to crave. Of course the idea of Meg being like Sophie Wessex And cheerfully donning Wellies to dig in the dirt Is ridiculous, but at the time of her marriage she had assured everybody how hard she was planning to work.

It should have been put to both of them prior to the engagement announcement that if they intended to go through with the marriage, This
estate Was going to be the firms one and only offer for free housing. Charles was going to gift them this property outright, But there would be no other accommodation. They would have to pay for housing elsewhere if this offer was rejected. Furthermore there would be caps on their spending, And Meg would have to manage wardrobe and home decorating costs within Harry’s allowance from the Dutchy...A couple million a year would suit most people well enough.

The former Dumbartons Have nothing to show for their 2+ years of marriage except a pile of debts And a huge tax burden to the taxpayers of the UK. Harry could’ve made something of his own on that farm, With the full support of Charles’ resources & staff to help
them. The disastrous duo literally threw all this back in Charles’ face, In favor of being professional squatters & moochers. It really boggles the mind.

I think Zara will read it. I could also see Beatrice and Eugenie reading it. Probably just to see how close to real life it is.

I think there were a few snippets from Lady C's book that mentioned a "young royal source." I am leaning towards that being Zara. I can see no love lost between her and Megsy.

I do not believe the senior members of the RF are reading her book, especially Charles and Camilla. I have read, but can’t confirm it as I didn’t read it, that she wasn’t very sympathetic to Charles in the Diana book. I doubt HM would give her the time of day after she wrote another her and her mother, etc.

I have an image of some clandestine reading of LCC’s opus at Royal Lodge. Andrew hates Meg with the heat of 1000 burning suns, And he would want to be sure he was not mentioned, or that mentions were At least neutral. He has nothing but free time these days to read it, so maybe he and Sarah have cracked open a bottle and are reading passages aloud to one another. If not Andrew I think at least Sarah and her daughters will be discussing it. “Discussing” is likely too polite for the terms used to describe Meg and the various humiliations she has brought to the house of York.

According to Lord Campbell, he offered a personal apology to the Prince of Wales for what he called ‘the rantings of my ex-wife’ and told Charles “I hope you realize it has nothing to do with me.”

The feelings toward LCC are probably very mixed in the RF. Georgia is buttering her own bread after all, and when tea is spilled it tends to spread around. In this situation with Meg, I am on the side of the royal family, however the same family has provided us with overwhelming evidence That whatever their virtues, there are some pretty big dysfunctional flaws within their Firm. The Queen’s failure to address the flaws in her own children and their children Has led directly to Andrew and Harry’s problems. Even if some deserved criticism is included, Lady C. May be viewed by them as providing a service by hearing issues with the whole Sussex drama they themselves cannot comment upon.

Part 1, some stuff about Harry's behavior and mild consequences, orig. published around 2004,republished in
The Windsor Knot: Charles, Camilla and the Legacy of Diana in October, 2018

At the time of (Diana's) death, William was fifteen, Harry approaching his thirteenth birthday. Such intimate accounts as exist of the princes’ reaction to their mother’s violent demise tend to suggest they swallowed their grief, rather than talk it through; certainly it would have been difficult, at the beginning, for them to articulate their innermost feelings to a man who had been demonized so comprehensively by their mother.

The vulnerable one turned out to be Harry. He had already started drinking and smoking, before this teens, while on a Greek-island-hopping holiday with friends. During such holidays, it was claimed later, the young people were left to their own devices, and there were reports of wild parties with vodka and tequila. Whatever tendency Harry had toward wayward behavior, it was exacerbated by his mother’s death.

In the tight-knit circle that surrounds the British royal family, there were enough people acquainted with the next peril, drugs, for Harry to have been familiar with their use from the earliest adolescence. Apart from Tom Parker Bowles, caught red-handed in his cocaine use, there was also Tom’s cousin Emma, who had been treated in the United States for addiction to drugs and drink. The grown-up daughter of Charles and Patti Palmer Tomkinson appeared on a British television show quite evidently under the influence of drink and drugs and shortly afterward was hustled onto a plane to take her to Arizona to find a cure for her addictions. Lord Frederick Windsor, son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and near-neighbor of the young princes during their Kensington Palace days, was similarly captured by the media and bound to confess his use of cocaine. One more name to add to the list of shame is that of Nicholas Knatchbull, great-grandson of Lord Mountbatten and Prince Charles’s godson, who preceded Prince William through Eton and acted as his mentor, and who twice found refuge in the United States while he sought a cure for hard addiction. It was hard to deny the existence of such temptations.

Whether William succumbed to the ever-present peril of drugs, we do not know, but it seems highly unlikely: too many of his well-heeled friends were making fools of themselves at Eton and, possessed of that ingrained sense of duty that runs through his father, he steered clear. Certainly there has been nothing erratic in his behavior to suggest that he is anything other than a healthy and intelligent young man who saw the dangers clearly enough to successfully sidestep them.

Part 2
But Harry was a weaker vessel, and by 2001 his errant behavior was starting to break surface. There were allegations that he had on several occasions become so drunk at private parties that he vomited: certainly at a grand affair given by Britain’s richest aristocrat, the Duke of Westminster, he was seen throwing up in the bushes. By the summer, he was in Spain attending the Sotogrande Copa de Plata polo cup on the Costa del Sol, and later witnessed smoking and drinking in the nearby nightclubs of Marbella. He had already torn up the turf of a nearby golf course, turning it into a makeshift polo pitch and using golf buggies for ponies. On vacation in Rock, in the British west coast county of Cornwall, he incurred the wrath of several mothers whose daughters were subjected to a hitherto-unseen arrogance in the young prince, not yet sixteen. “He seemed to think he could do whatever he liked because of who he is,” one complained.

The final unmasking came after an incident at the Rattle-bone Inn, a sixteenth-century pub in the village of Sherston, not far from Highgrove, later in the summer of 2001. It had become a regular meeting-place for young men of rich families in the area and though two years under the legal age limit, Harry soon joined in the thirsty, noisy drinking sessions that occurred most nights. What turned his youthful high spirits into a national talking-point, however, was when he was involved in a brawl during one of the many after-hours bingeing sessions that went on. It later emerged that it was Harry’s habit to return to Highgrove with his friends where, in a basement disco rigged up by the royal brothers some time before, Harry and friends would listen to techno and garage music while smoking marijuana and drinking even more.

When this behavior was exposed by the tabloid newspapers, the talk among the columnists was of a boy cruelly robbed of his mother at a crucial stage in life, and with Harry eating a suitable amount of humble pie, including publicly visiting a drug rehabilitation center with his father, the story seemed to go away.

>>>It's a ridiculous situation but one that Nutty apparently can't do anything about!<<<

NO, on the contrary Nutty is required to follow the Google Terms of Service and ensure that our posts do not violate the extensive list of prohibited activities. Here is a link to Google's list: https://www.blogger.com/content.g?hl=en

Google specifically mentions that there should be a way for bloggers to contact the blog owner (Nutty) for problems. However Nutty does not provide us with any way to do this on her site. Google says you can use their system but it does not allow you to give specifics only report the blog name (as far as I can see).

Hate speech, bullying and violence are three prohibited actions which are come to mind as being a problem. It is harder to define what Google prohibits about impersonation (but that is the least of it I think here). Nutty should Tell Us that we must abide by the Google Rules or get our offending content deleted (and ban repeat violators, although that may be difficult as offenders are going by several names, etc..).

The sad thing is that much annoying types of posts cannot be prohibited due to free speech unless it crosses the line as interpreted by Google. Even so, the Google format as it is used initially to report an abuse has serious limitation in that the whole blog name is reported not per se an individual page or an individual. For going further one is left to their own devices.

I personally think if Nutty would strongly state that Google's ToS have to be followed it would maybe straighten up some of these abusers especially if they face consequences. I once had a Asst. DA tell me that abusers will usually only quit when the consequences become severe enough to them personally.

As an aside, I live near a University which is noted for having a very vibrant Computer Tech dept. with many students coming from overseas because of the dept's reputation.. I am going to try to hire one of these ambitious students find out what they can find out from the source code of this blogspot in order to track down a couple of these perpetrators id info. I will go from there, namely to the Police Dept and District Attorney as this has gotten out of hand.

@Girl with a Hat
If you were able to utilize a Google complaint form that allows naming the specific action (eg. suicide taunt) and details (like poster/day/time) instead of just stating the NuttyBlog is the site of harassment, please let me know. Thank you again for your efforts!

@Lizzie: Just saw this earlier in this thread. Meghan isn’t that tall. She used to list herself as 5 feet 7 inches tall on her acting CV but a friend of mine who actually saw her as she was going into an event not long after they got married says she’s about 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm) tall. She was wearing her trademark 4-or 5-inch stiletto heels and she said Meghan was still much shorter than Harry, who is 6 feet 1inch (185.4 cm) tall. She might be 5-7 in heels, but not in bare feet.

That was a Givenchy number too, Abby. Probably bespoke.

Of course, she deliberately wore it open to encourage rumours.

I wonder how Eugenie feels to have her side of the story stated so plainly by Lady CC. She must feel a little vindicated. Not that anything she did was even remotely wrong, but that Meghan really was such a bitch to her on her wedding day.

Just underscores how low Megs really is.

Good pt.

At the time, while I thought it was awful she tried to upstage the bride by announcing at the wedding, I also thought it was possible when she ordered the outfit she thought she'd be showing more than she was by then. Since it was Givenchy and she had such a cozy relationship with Keller, I'd think she could've gotten something whipped up fairly quickly (say 4 weeks?) Now that I know Archie didn't arrive until May though, the outfit is definitely suspicious.

I love this blog even though I never comment. I would hate to see it go away, and I know a lot of posters with brilliant/witty/intelligent things to say are gone now.
Self-policing should work but it doesn't. A few bad apples spoil the whole bunch.
Perhaps the solution is to move to another hosting system, one that will allow the admin to ban certain users and the users to block those they don't want to hear from.

I have been reading this blog since its inception, and I think I know what went wrong. But I hesitate to say anything since the last thing I need is a load of vitriol.

I go back and forth and only lately thought maybe these people are trying to doxx the blog. But I am definitely being targeted and I would be the last person to want this blog to disappear as it provides my day-in day-out enjoyment/relaxation I need so much.

Was doxxing the reason behind the vicious infighting over at the Virus Blog (what little I saw it was personalities and politics which is not an offense according to Google's ToS). I didn't keep up and never heard why it became inoperable. Did Google shut it down or Nutty? I am asking you since you were a regular contributor and could speak to how it went down (maybe to prevent it happening here). Did a poster(s) complain to Google you think? Did Nutty ever intervene on the Virus blog to warn people to stop the fighting? Did Nutty ever delete some of the nasty name calling and fake psych Dx being thrown around (which is very similar to what 'xxxxx' does here? All I remember is that one day I decided to check in and see what new info (on COVID-19) might be on the Virus blog and it was frozen in time but still appeared to have the nasty infighting comments posted.

I understand if you don't want to answer as I am sure it was a bad experience/memory. But perhaps you could offer some insights that would help here.

OK, I really hate that I had to give Sussex Royal a visit, but this is a quote taken from the page regarding the transition:

“As the grandson of Her Majesty and second son of The Prince of Wales, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex remains sixth in line to the throne of The British Monarchy and the Order of Precedence is unchanged.”

Shouldn’t there also be a blurb in there about Archie being seventh and the order being unchanged? I originally thought there was, which is why I went to check.

That screams something to me. If it was there, maybe they were forced to change it. Of course, in the official succession list, Archie is still there. But with the way Megsy throws the titles and such around as much as possible, that is VERY telling to me.

Yes I thought there was too!
It is also so strange that there was no greeting from Meghan about Harry being a wonderful Dad on Father's Day. No touching B.W photo of Archie and Harry which makes me think they were unavailable to Megsy. Or even a greeting to Prince Charles unless I missed it. Could be trouble in Sussex Paradise (which is actually probably like 'hell' for most of us).
Rats. I haven't seen the blog for a few hours and was excited to see how many new posts there were. But alas they are troll posts so , rats.

Very interesting if Harry really is in UK and the wife is just now releasing pictures of "charity" event. Is it charity if your profit from the pictures taken?

After reading excerpts of LCC's book, Harry really is coming across s as a twat and totally emasculated. Totally emasculated.
ShadeeRrrowz said…
I think the lack of a greeting to Prince Charles from the Disastrous Duo was on purpose. They’re mad. They had toys taken away. They’re being treated unfairly. The PoW didn’t protect Meghan from racists. (End sarcasm)

I’m sure if asked, they’ll bleat on about it being a private family moment. I won’t buy that because when the family was specifically told NOT to talk to the press about Her Majesty’s birthday, these two did just that.

Nope, no Father’s Day wishes to Charles was a dig.

@KCM1212: You’re right, this IS a bit odd that this falls out of the sky. I wonder if it in response to a) Lady C’s book, b) a sign that either Kate (unlikely) or Meghan are pregnant, or c) it’s going to be revealed that the reason why there apparently were no qualified witnesses at Archie’s birth is that he was carried by a surrogate.

If the answer is “c,” it could be a pre-emptive strike in the form of a very broad hint by the RF that they aren’t going to take any more crap from Harry and Meghan. It’s a nice, fluffy threat of a nuclear strike. The RF can always claim that Meghan and Harry hid the fact it was a surrogate and they only recently discovered this information. It would be their word against Harry and Meghan’s word. Because so many people know of her incessant lying, most people would believe the RF unless H&M have concrete proof the RF knew all along.

Also: I too think it was odd that H&M did not wish The First National Bank of Charles a Happy Fathers Day. But then, H&M are tremendous ingrates. It was also odd that Meghan did not spew forth a gushy public greeting for Harry on his second Fathers Day.

I'd bet every single member of the family, and the Firm staff has already seen the book. I include the Q and PP in that, even if it's her dresser Angela reading her snippets. At some point in time, the BRF as an institution will respond to Finding Fecklessness and Lady C has all sorts of juicy leads on how the Harkles will be presenting their tragic tale of woe.

I also think they've read the galleys of FF, and know what's coming. Catherine's birthday/Father's Day portrait of William was the perfect retort to those Sunshine rumors about William's cruel and horrible behavior driving the Harkles away. Titanium indeed.
CatEyes said…
@ShadeeRrrowz

Yes I was thinking it might be an indirect 'dig' at Prince Charles but I don't understand because they still depend on his money....unless of course, the HAMS unfortunately have some viable lucrative offers that we don't know about, but I highly doubt.

I am sickened how they have treated PC, HM, William and frankly all of the BRF. It just boggles my mind how Harry did this to his family who has given him untold privileges, a life of untold luxuries, and could have the most wonderful life even if he didn't want to do royal duties. He is surely as dumb as is reported. I just can't imagine him coming out of this mess and them smelling like a rose. If big things were going to happen for the benefit of the HAMS I thought we would have seen at least a little success here and there but it has been a big fat zero. No hints of anything on the horizon, except rumors always rumors and nothing concrete.

I bet they are a bit like ageing stars who may have had some modicum of fame but have hit a time where even their name in print doesn't bring any interest anymore. Titles or no titles, 'Just Harry' couldn't have called himself a more accurate label if he tried. Meghan's nickname of 'H' was prescient, foretelling how little Harry was going to shrink in importance. Their fame is fading faster than the hair on Harry's head. It couldn't have happened to a more deserving pair of losers.

I will be shocked to see any endeavor that they try bring anything of note. They are more successful at failure than anything else. What happened to their humanitarian goals, all talk and no effort. The Travalyst concept was a bust right from the beginning as the website couldn't even articulate the idea in words much less capture interest among companies that translated into consumer change in travel habits. COVID-19 is not the wet blanket on their plans; they are the deal breakers to any viable means of commercial activity. Not to mention they come across as crass human beings, freeloaders, do-nothings and the worst black sheep a family could have. I feel for the Queen to have to spend her twilight years enduring the nastiness they created. I am thankful that William will be King one day and be rewarded for his goodness. loyalty and commitment to the Monarchy.

You can totally hear her unique voice as you read. Prepare to expand your vocabulary!

Great insights on the subtle and nuanced differences between American and British culture, and of course the class system.

As has been mentioned on the blog here already, Lady C has a particular talent for weaving a phrase that imparts the truth without spelling it out.

Meghan and Harry have truly been exposed in this book. And it seems, if Lady C is to be believed, with support and information from the BRF itself. Is she their secret weapon?

She quotes "princes", "princesses", and "cousins" quite a lot...

@Scandi Sanskrit: Thanks for mentioning Google Books as a source for Lady C’s book. I too pretty much limit my physical book purchases to cookbooks. My only other weakness is history and biographies. Am in the midst of reading the autobiography of the musician Prince. It is only partially written by him because he died before he finished it.

He was writing it with a collaborator, who finished it after Prince’s untimely passing. The more I read about him, the more I shake my head in dismay. It was such a needless death, but he was surrounded by short-sighted, ignorant people who put their own interests ahead of helping Prince with his pain killer addiction.

If Harry’s not careful, he could easily leave this world in a similar manner.

Hi Nutties! I've been sitting up in the rafters for a bit, and as Happy Days et al, I scroll on when I see trolls.
I've been on this blog since the beginning or thereabouts, and in spite of the crazy things it's a very successful one as blogs go.
IIRC, the problems began when Nutty changed us to the new comment format that allowed other commenters to come on here that had trouble getting on before. As a result, it opened a Pandora's Box. The old format was far easier to reply to other commenters, too.

I do not agree that changing to another blog would help anything. Over the past 20 years I've seen what happens when a blog gets trolled, trashed and destroyed when they go private over monitored too much. There's just too much loss of the regulars along the way. For example, I used to be on Websleuths for a long time until I hadn't commented on it for awhile. They went private and threw me and many others out that didn't deserve to be simply because some monitor wanted to clean out or choose who was "in" or "out". The best blogs are those that simply ignore the trolls, remain open like this one and isn't moderated by more than just the blog owner like Nutty. Keeping it Simple is best.

I am a wayfaring stranger to this blog, popping in to 'read only" on occasion since Christmas, 2019. Currently, I am in CDT in the US, and just decided to take a peak onto Twitter/TorontoPapers1 and their 'adjunct', DripDrop (DD). As I recall, many of you do not think much about TP1/DD. I am mixed, but I check in from time to time. TP1 has been mum since May 6th, with virtually nothing about the nit-wits from DD either. But BINGO, tonight we have some news! Is it accurate? Was it posted now owing to LCC's publication? In summary, and I paraphrase: Harry is not in LA with Megs and the bakery shoot was most likely a Canadian double. Megs was not invited, but barged her way in, and when not on camera was not terribly engaging or interested in the charity.

More importantly, DD reports again that we, the public, have never seen Archie. All hired kid actors, but probably no longer available. Surrogate yes and biological father = SOHO House or Markus Anderson. Someone else suggests that the surrogate was in the US. Megs might have placed the order shortly after the wedding, which if successful could mean a late February, 2019 birth. Was that the real reason for the fabulous baby shower in NYC, MA grinning ear to ear strutting Megs around NYC and the private jet courtesy of Clooney back to the UK? This is what I have been wondering for sometime now, owing to a more certain legal outcome with respect to custody. A US surrogate and a US birth? Lastly, MA is with Megs in LA. Where? No confirmation of housing. The two are inseparable. MA is "DaDa" from the video? Harry lives a "separate" life, but shares "interests" with Megs. DD did not provide details. And, finally, prior to Meg's last departure from the UK, the BRF confirmed the "no royal blood." I will be back later with some additional thoughts. Best to all.

Many of you suggested I 'DO NOT ENGAGE" with the disruptive posters targetting me with crazy. slanderous posts (you know the details). You said it would work! I gave it a wonderful effort even though my past attempt did not work and told you so. But I was glad to try and gave it a wonderful effort, not engaging once for over 18 hours now.

Howvever, the 'Troll/Disruptors' posted even more heinous statements and you saw it. One Nuttie was so horrified at 'Unknown's' suicide taunt she complained to Google. Another fellow Nuttie told 'xxxxx' to be a man and stop his obscene posts.

Some of the same Nutties and even Nutties who have not previously spoken have now changed their tune. They are stating the 'Disruptors/Trolls' are doing it because they are trying to shut the blog down over sympathy to the HAMS. They want moderation of the blog or even create a new format so people will be banned. The difficulty I see is that these posters are already using different screen names and will continue to do so and thereby continue to disrupt.

Maya Angelou said "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time." I believe the Trolls when they said months ago (and continue to cite her) they were doing it for 'Elle'. They aren't saying they are doing it for the HAMS or because of Lady C's book.

I will still keep my promise but I would appreciate that I not be included as 'They" or referenced as a troll as I am doing exactly what you wanted me to do and I am taking it on the chin. I am also getting tired of people questioning why I like the blog; I like it for the same reasons as you!

Please ask Nutty to stop these malcontents as they are the ones jeopardizing this blog.

I can see your valid points and tend to agree. However what I have seen as a criticism of a moderated blog where posters can be banned is that IP addresses are available to the blog moderators/administrator and it is a security risk, not to mention it seems here, very definitely people play favorites and if you're not with the 'in group' your contributions may be valuable but the clique gets you removed. As we are seeing with the 'Not-to-be-named' posters running roughshod for months now.

I will go from there, namely to the Police Dept. and District Attorney as this has gotten out of hand.' I and others know the screen names of these 2 perpetrators. Besides why would you want me and my brother to suffer at the hands of the perpetrators without doing things legally? Hmmmmmmm

If you read my post the other day to 'Unknown' it is a felony to appropriate another's 'persona' online and I cited the criminal statute. I have a duty to provide accurate information about a suspect if I deem to file a report. Besides, Google will have the identifying info on posters who they investigate. Thirdly, Nutties are clamoring for a format change whereby the IP addresses of posters will readily be available so if necessary they can be banned. Lol

I have the same rights of any US citizen who is the victim of a crime or is having Google violations committed against me. If you aren't guilty don't worry about it.

Golden Retriever said... How many of you believe members of the Royal Family are reading Lady C’s book? And if so, which members of the RF??

I’d expect Kate and William, and Charlie and Camilla to do so....What do you all think?

@Golden Retriever: An unequivocal YES, all of the principals in the RF plus the courtiers and other staff who are involved at various depths in the Sussex Saga are reading this book. The former staffers such as Edward Lane Fox, Melissa T., and Samantha the Panther are reading it too. If I stand on my front steps, I believe I can hear faint cheers coming all the way across the Atlantic from the direction of the UK.

I think it has been discussed here in the past that if the royal family wants to get information out into the public arena without directly making the comment or releasing it through traditional palace channels, they pass it to a close friend or trusted courtier or staff member to get it out to the public. Here in the US, the White House has done this for as far back as I can remember.

It is a system to communicate with the public without getting their hands dirty. Heck, Meghan herself does it all the time with the “a close friend of Meghan said” leaks that always appear in the press.

My guess is the people quoted in Lady C’s book had approval from the palace to speak with her for this book. It is a hand grenade for Harry and Meghan tucked into a book.

@HappyDays: love Prince.

Pantone actually did him a special colour 💜💜

@Scandi Sanskrit: Of the dozens of musicians and groups I’ve seen since I was a kid, Prince was by far the best show in terms of performance, musical catalogue, and musicianship I’ve ever seen.

I’m originally from Minneapolis, and my grandmother lived in the same neighborhood where Prince lived as a child and through high school, I used to go over to her house to help in her garden. She’d cook great lunches for me and sometimes send me to a small grocery store nearby, so perhaps he was one of the neighborhood kids I would see on the way to and from the store for her. It was a neighborhood of modest but well-kept single family homes. During a visit there a couple years ago to see family and friends, I stopped at her former home, and was pleased to see it has been nicely maintained since it was sold after she passed away.

If you ever get to Minneapolis, (however, I would probably not recommend a trip there right now) go out to the suburb named Chanhassen on the west side of Minneapolis and tour Paisley Park. It is the live-work facility where he he lived in a very spacious apartment on the second floor off and on since it was built in the late 1980s. He had been living there by himself for a number of years prior to his overdose death there in an elevator.

The tour is interesting and worth the admission price.

I recently learned I have a tiny link to Prince. He and I were born in the same hospital in Minneapolis about two years apart. LOL.

And now, back to the train wreck formerly known as Harry and Meghan.

@Aquagirl and Scandi: He was fine in every sense of the word! Nice to know there are some Prince people on this blog.

Dying at his relatively young age was so senseless and such a waste. I wonder if any of the people who were around him who knew he had a problem but waited until the last minute to try to help him have any feelings of guilt. He should never have been left alone for even ten minutes once it was discovered he had a serious problem, and someone dropped him off alone at PP and he was dead the next morning.

If the RF isn’t careful, this could be Harry. Meghan doesn’t give a rip about him. At this point, he’s served about 80% of his purpose to her.

I do not believe that Harry was forced or coerced into the marriage. He is absolutely besotted with her. He had always resented being in William's shadow and wanted to be the star. Meghan led him to believe that together, they were unstoppable and he swallowed it whole. As for Farchie, Harry was complicit in it. For that con job alone, these two con artists have no place in the royal family and Harry and Farchie no place in the line of succession. I am just appalled that the Queen and Charles are letting them drag the monarchy down. If they cannot see this, then I hope a republic comes soon so that William can be free to live out his life as he wants, finally.
Harry's mental state on the wedding day?

He didn't look particularly joyful to me.

There was a report that he'd been lipread as saying he was `sh*tting' himself.

Harry Markle reckoned they were both high.

Meghan looked triumphant as she swept down the aisle.

What did you think?

@GoldenRetriever, I don't think the principles would read Lady C's book but I am sure their aides and courtiers and other staffers have. The Principles had to endure the unroyal behaviour and ridiculous demands first hand since the Sussex's engagement so I doubt they would want to read about it again from Lady C. I could see Zara, Mike and Fergie having a giggle reading it. But I am sure the person who has read it more than once would be the subject herself.
Rock-a-bye baby,
on the tree top.
When the wind blows,
the cradle will rock...
When the bough breaks
The cradle will fall.
Down will come Baby,
cradle and all.

To be sung to tine of `Lillabulero' - from 1685.

It refers to the alleged `warming pan baby', the infant son of James II &VII. Or, `How we got the House of Hanover on the throne, instead of the Stuarts' - and the Jacobite rebellions.

And why the birth of heirs to the throne had, for centuries, had to be reliably witnessed. For HM, the Home Secretary was not actually at the delivery, probably out in the corridor, but could presumably verify that no babies nor warming pans were smuggled into the delivery room.

After that, it was deemed unnecessary - a medical signing-off was more than adequate. Imagine, the silly people of the 17th Century thinking that there was an impostor baby! How ridiculous!

Wrong! I firmly believe that if there is a `baby', he, or possibly, she is a potential pretender to the throne, an impostor, supplanter, bred by traitors.

God save the Queen and her rightful successors!

Re royals reading or not: they don't have to. They have private secretaries to do it for them and provide summaries and juiciest bits. I also think it is possible for the RF to obtain a copy earlier than the official release date.

Royal secretaries also surf blogs for them, so rest assured this blog is on their radar.

@WBBM I think Harry saying he is sh*tting himself could have been spoke out of nerves but in looking back at footage you are correct in saying wedding did not look joyous whatsoever. I didn't realize at the time how miserable guests looked, aside from that epic glare HM delivered to MM

Reminiscent of Prince to me. Never in million years did I peg him as dope fiend but now looking back at some of his performances he looks so stoned. Count me in as Prince fan. My mom took me and my girlfriend to Purple Rain concert and it was AWESOME. She passed as well so it is bittersweet but wow what a memory

I really hope Harry gets his demons sorted out but I fear that is never going to happen with MM in picture. She is far too selfish and probably prefers H weak

So, another interesting point popped up on the TP Twitter thread. To present a baby as royal that isn't royal is treason. All good for thought.

So the much maligned 'Skippy' might have been right before anybody when she called Meghan treasonous. I love it!
Excerpts from Lady Colin Campbell's book have been posted on various sites and I've been reading as many as I can, because even though I pre-ordered a copy of the book, here in Canada it won't be released until late July. I've read enough to draw three conclusions:

1. As I was reading, it occurred to me that I had already read most of it before, but then I realized that much of what I thought I knew came from blind items on gossip sites, rumors and speculation, and I wondered how much of it was reliable. Well, now I know - most of it was reliable, since the book confirms the blind items, rumors and even the speculation. Yes, MM really is as awful as we thought she was.

2. I used to feel sorry for JH, but no more. Yes, he is weak and stupid, and has a lot of issues, and MM is very manipulative, but the bottom line is - even without MM's influence, Jh on his own is not a nice person.

3. After this book, any book which attempts to paint her in a sympathetic light will just be seen as damage control and sycophantic groveling. One book coming out in November is titled "Meghan Misunderstood", a hagiography by UK author Sean Smith. Oh Sean, we understand her all too well. Interestingly enough, the people at Celebitchy are strangely silent about Lady Colin Campbell's book. I expected long foaming-at-the-mouth diatribes about a racist smear campaign.

I agree re two points:
RF doesn't come out of it shining because it is very clear they tried to sell a useless piece of manure as hero and they went after people speaking about Markle's dirt. If they approved this book -i doubt it- they chose the lesser of two evils.

Certainly everything after this book will be viewed as damage control. That is why Megsy was livid when Omid's shot in sugar was delayed and CC's book went ahead. Which makes me believe somebody pressed a button to achieve this

I hadn't really thought specifically about the personal money angle before.

Lady C. suggests that part of what Megan and Harry gave up includes 3-4 million a year in income. (not including expenses, housing, clothing etc.)

If it's 3 million, this gives them 250K/ month discretionary income.

Put yourselves in that position - thinking that 250k/month is not enough and wanting more.

The GREED is shocking.

The greed is shocking. I don't understand why $250K wouldn't be enough except 1) They didn't want to be told what to do--- ever. And 2) They initially thought they were giving up only 5% of their funding and keeping free taxpayer-provided security and all other funding from the RF forever.

Definition of 'confront' I was using;
"(of a problem, difficulty, etc.) present itself to (someone) so that dealing with it cannot be avoided

You asked and I had felt compelled to respond to be polite. Sorry, but that wasn't me....as I have always thought Meghan used a surrogate! I am sorry you mixed me up with someone else you disagreed with. Anyone with eyes can see Meghan had weird changing bumps and I said so at the time!

She had a million dollar wardrobe and if she behaved herself, the ability to wear millions of dollars of jewels.

She threw it all away because she could not adapt to a lifestyle where she was surrounded by wealth, but had obligations. Which billionaire can afford a home as large as Buckingham Palace in the middle of London? Or an estate as large as Windsor?

Pardon my bluntness, but she is stupid because she equates success with her experience of it,and cannot entertain another version of it in her mind. She thinks Hollywood and the rich producers are the epitome of success, but she doesn't realize that the details of Queen Elizabeth II's reign will be taught in the history books 400 years from now.

After that, I like his music, but what a jerk. He never compensated the musician for his beloved guitar and the man said after that, he hated Prince with every part of his being.

The RF using Lady C to get news out. Truly, as if.

So all the RF has to say about MM is that she is an awful person with all the things we have already heard, some of which Lady C states she doesn’t believe?

Why would the RF collaborate with a woman who had written unauthorized books about all of them when there are legitimate royalty reporters they could use? It beggars belief, and I don’t buy it.

IF and I say IF (although I am coming more around to the idea) IF Archie was carried by a surrogate, he is SO VERY CLEARLY Harry’s child. He looks like Harry, Meghan and Thomas. For those who can’t see that, I don’t know what to say other than respectfully you don’t wish to see it.

Harry was very clearly besotted with Megan at the wedding. I was so nervous on my wedding day I couldn’t eat for fear of throwing up. Still married 20 someth years later. It makes complete sense in this context for Harry to say he was shifting himself (with nerves). Rewatched the wedding video yesterday and there are many instances where he looked at her with pure love, especially when she was saying her vows to him.

I’ll be in a car for 3 hours soon and as long as I’m not the driver, I will provide a link and hour and minute marks for everyone to comment on once they see it,

There is zero blackmail she could have on Harry to get him to willingly participate in a 10 million dollar wedding in front of god and the queen aside from him having anal sex with a child and then strangling it in camera. Harry gay, so TF what. Harry had a 3 some? So TF what. Harry has a major cocaine habit? So what? Etc. Hint: see Andrew.

apart from a haircut which I desperately need, I've found that my hair looks much better since lockdown. I have discovered all kinds of new hair styling tools, colouring and shampoo/conditioner products which I never was really interested in previously.

Apart from a quick trim, I don't think I will be using a hairdresser very much anymore.

Same with the pedicure and manicure. I've found products which cost as much as one pedicure but which can be used for many months when used at home.

I've also started new regimes with supplements since I don't have to worry about my co-workers seeing the results of bad reactions.

I've worked 21 straight days and this is my first day off for a while.

I know the lockdown hasn't been as kind to Meghan and Harry. I have to laugh at this because hubris is a horrible thing, isn't it?

I agree with you Markle is stupid. Just one example. As R.M Markle, actress, she can campaign for what she wants, including BLM. As The Duchess of Sussex and Countess Dumbarton, member of the BRF she should be aware of the fact that not only black skinned people were enslaved in the past.

One of the world's biggest empires, Russian Empire, had people called krepostnoy. They were considered property, had no rights, were sold, won in card games, worked and tortured to death. Wealth was measured in how many of them an individual had. One woman tortured young slaves to death in a manner so horrible that even Cathrine the Great, not Russian by birth, was totally appalled. These slaves were white. The slavery in the Russian Empire was not abolished until 1861.

If Markle had any brains she would behave more carefully. All that whip smart things are rubbish.

Why a surrogate? Let me count the ways...

1. Time was of the essence (as a poster suggested).
2. She knew she couldn't get pregnant.
3. Harry wanted to wait but she didn't.
4. She wanted to order a child to her specifications (does happen)
5. She had a timeline to follow

I'm sure you sharp Nutties could think of more....

not only were there serfs in Russia until 1861, much of Europe wasn't involved in the black slave trade.

There were certain minority groups which benefited from the slave trade more than others. We won't go into any details, but suffice it to say, it wasn't only Christian white people

There was also a very big slave trade of white people kidnapped from places like Italy, Spain, Croatia which bordered the Mediterranean, who were then sold in the North African and Middle Eastern countries. There were even slave raids from the Barbary pirates as they were called in Iceland where entire villages disappeared and were sold into servitude in Africa.

Today's slavery is somewhat different. It involves people working for little pay, sometimes in captivity. But there are more slaves today than there has been for a long time and many of these slaves make your clothes, your smart phone, and many other things you consider to be mundane and non-controversial.

In terms of sheer numbers there are vastly far more slaves than there ever were in the world in the 1800's. The huge n=numbers are due to human traffickting.

"According to The International Labour Organization, there are approximately 40.3 million victims of human trafficking globally....of these millions of victims, 25 percent are children, 75 percent are female, and 81 percent are trapped in some form of forced labor.
The 24.9 million people exploited for forced labor includes those caught in one of the most common forms of trafficking: sex trafficking. Women and girls are overwhelmingly affected by exploitation of this sort, making up 99 percent of victims in the commercial sex industry. Other victims of forced labor work in construction, agriculture, or domestic work. While human trafficking affects victims of all ages, children are especially vulnerable. About one out of seven endangered runaways reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in 2017 were likely child sex trafficking victims. Of the 15.4 million victims forced into marriage worldwide, 37 percent are children."

KCM1212 - I knew it was something special but ... that is yet another Givenchy link. (how odd the timing NOT)

Ziggy's vision of M & JM reuniting with a special presentation from Oprah. Hey, what happened with that super special by her recently about recent events? How did that do in numbers? We cut the cord and I was thinking that it was only on cable.

Father's Day - MIA. How strange. How very strange. She/they don't seem to ever miss a chance to release some photos or something about themselves in case anyone needed to know. (JH reading to the baby would have been a really good idea since she had already done so). Or, maybe they were shut down?

Longview - in agreement. Especially about the uncensored reflecting real opinions discussed back and forth here. And that the being able to shut down any sites which criticize them would be a win for that group.

LCC and the comment that Harry must accept that M lied about her father either about how wonderful he had been for all those years or that he was unspeakable/only now mentioning this before the wedding as to why he should not attend. When you catch a person in a lie, you will always wonder if they are lying to you this time or not. Broken trust is not easily regained (if ever).

—Clearly Smirkles is in league with Splash and has been. Agree a lawsuit is a tax evasion scheme. Which brings up the Harkles case against Splash for images of Cotswald bolthold. Was that to dodge taxes too? I remember someone claimed it was a way for Harry to hide the real reason for the court appearance, which was to file Archie’s adoption papers.
—Archie is a dead ringer for the children of Meghan’s half brother, ie her nephews the Dooleys. In particular Tyler. I think Archie is an unknown child of one of those boys that Meghan borrows. Not Harry’s obviously because Archie is a bruiser with none of Harry’s, William’s or Diana’s fine bone structure. Totally 100% Dooley.
—Just noticed that David Furnish writes for Tatler as an Contributing Editor. Are he and Sir Elton still quietly supporting the Harkles and anti William and Kate? I would not be surprised. I believe Hapless to be gay or at least bi.
Best to Nutty and all.
