@Jdubya,
Everything's a conspiracy theory today It seems to be the fallback way to shut people up without posing an argument or their own facts. "Because Susie and Timmy said it's a conspiracy when we were on the playground, so shut up!" Easier than critical thinking, and so many have smoothly bought into it as a lazy throw-away line.

Lots of stuff isn't true. But once something is proven true? Once news and facts emerge? Mmmm, awkward.
Jdubya said…
AnT - you are making me laugh. H craves attention. Adulation. Applause. Especially now. As much as he (allegedly) hated the media, he loves the "people's" attention. Especially of the female type. and, I think, men in uniform. It makes him feel like he truly is somebody. But he is someone who has not really accomplished anything on his own. He has always had others doing all the work for him and then he takes the glory. Look at Invictus Games.

He wants the glitz and glamor without the actual work. He loves to dress up (and now dress down to be casual CA H).

His accent has changed now. and i'm certain he is taking coaching. He very well may try to get in to some films. Probably playing a soldier (high ranking of course) leading his men in to combat and winning the war. Or maybe a super hero.

the possibilities are endless !!! (who am i trying to kid here?)

Pap spills the juice. Do I think Harry knows? Yes, I do.
I think he didn't at first, but she prevailed, and he is
addicted to the cheap fame of pap partnering as well.

“Every time someone is quoted as a ‘friend’ of Harry or Meghan, post Royal life, make no mistake, that is their publicist,” the insider said.

Parshotam (A PAP) made it clear that when he interacted with Meghan before she married Prince Harry, she was very kind to the paps. The funny thing about that is Meghan has also posed with paparazzi. I have seen images of her standing next to paparazzi,“ he spilled. “The photographer has his arm around her, he’s standing next to her. Meghan also used to organize set-ups. She would ask an agency, ‘I am turning up to a restaurant, event, can you photograph me coming in?’ She herself had a relationship with the press before she got into a relationship with Harry. I felt like she knew how to manipulate and knew how to use the media in her favor previously to her relationship with Harry,” he added.

@Judbya,

Gosh you really think so? (feigns surprise, batting eyes).

Ha! I agree.
@Miggy, we mustn't forget that MM's buddy Brynn Gingras works for CNN.

@Miggy,

re your Dan Wootton post (excellent, thank you) -- I notice this bit in particular near the end of Wootton's article:

CNN would not comment on why the video had been completely hidden from view.

An insider at the broadcaster said the deletion would not have taken place 'due to any outside pressure or request'.

But despite multiple requests, a spokesman for CNN would not tell me if there had been any communication from The Sussexes, Oprah Winfrey or friends of either.

That explanation won't appease royal sources who fear CNN got spooked and decided not to push a narrative that would upset woke favourites Harry and Meghan.

.......again, I think my main question would be "WHY did this happen?" Why is CNN invested, why is Netflix invested, why are people like Oprah and Biden invested in these two unaccomplished idiots?

That, to me, is the real story.

............AND, then Brynn G retweeted Arquette's comment with this remark:

Glad I’m not alone
@pattyarquette
considering their theories are endless and based off a very personal post about my recent miscarriage.

.....This is so unusually close. Why is Brynn, a journalist, in the business of defending and stunting & tweet-defending for MM?
I also note that Brynn's Twitter intro says this:
CNN Correspondent, based in NYC. Send me story ideas- I'd love to hear them. Follow: IG
@BrynnCNN

Finally, I looked into the Tweeter call @yachtgirlmm. She seems to be asking pointed MM questions, as we are, now esp re BGates:

For those who don't want to click on the Amazon link... here's the blurb.

Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex’s first children’s book, The Bench, beautifully captures the special relationship between father and son, as seen through a mother’s eyes. The book’s storytelling and illustration give us snapshots of shared moments that evoke a deep sense of warmth, connection, and compassion.

This is your bench
Where you’ll witness great joy.
From here you will rest
See the growth of our boy.

In The Bench, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, touchingly captures the evolving and expanding relationship between father and son and reminds us of the many ways that love can take shape and be expressed in a modern family.

Evoking a deep sense of warmth, connection, and compassion, The Duchess’s debut children’s book gives us a window into shared and enduring moments between a diverse group of fathers and sons—moments of peace and reflection, trust and belief, discovery and learning, and comfort and nurture.

Working in watercolor for the first time, Caldecott-winning, bestselling illustrator Christian Robinson expands on his signature style to bring joy and softness to the pages, reflecting the beauty of a father’s love through a mother’s eyes.

With a universal message, this thoughtful and heartwarming read-aloud is destined to be treasured by families for generations to come.

• who encouraged her husband to attack his own brother
• who attacks her brother-in-law's daughter

All of this is completely true. What is also completely true is that people such as she tend to erupt in physical violence when thwarted.

I have read here that the *only* worry that the people have about those two is that they *may* have a helpless child in their clutches. I hope that their "nanny" (or nannies), if they have any, is being *very* wary because if *anything* happens to that child, the household help will be accused.

Catherine has a book, Hold Still: A Portrait of our Nation in 2020, for which she wrote the foreword. The book documents the lives of people in the UK during lockdown. It shows 100 photos taken by ordinary members of the public, taken from 'the National Portrait Gallery exhibition that the Duchess of Cambridge spearheaded in 2020.' ... 'Money raised from sales will benefit a number of different charitable programs, with 50% of net proceeds going towards helping the National Portrait Gallery continue to deliver educational and community programs across Britain. The other half will go towards supporting leading mental health charity Mind, including support initiatives being run in local communities across the country.' (Harper's Bazaar)

The book is due out on 7 May. Meanwhile, the unmentionable wife 'writes' a children's book. All profits to herself, I presume?

so Harry's wife writes a book. How much was the advance? Like Hunter Biden getting $2MM and selling 11,000 copies. Me thinks the publishing world is kinda like netflix how to push money to people for something and content is just the bonus? will oprah feature it on her book club? will she have zoom interviews to promote it? will she send an autographed copy to charles? Did bonus material feature new pics of "Archie"

its bold to keep the father son relationship and reference to harry and archie, especially if archie doesnt live with them.

Hi Nutties!

I read on the MM Unpopular Opinions thread on LSA that H's wife (aka Mrs. 6) will also be narrating that book she "wrote". OMG! Who narrates a children's book? Don't their parents usually read it to them? If anything saves that book, it'll be the artwork.

I can't even.

Also, two Novembers ago I went to an event and met the Princess Royal. The protocol of the event required all of us to be standing prior to her entrance and only seated after she had taken her seat.

I know Harry has gotten some press saying he received a standing ovation but I am seriously not buying it given my experience. I realize he's not a working royal so that protocol wouldn't apply to him but I think it's important to note there's a difference between standing for someone because they deserve respect and/or because of protocol and because some crowd warmer cued the audience.

Well, she's certainly hanging on to the titles, book is by M, Duchess of Sussex, still trading the titles, doubt she would have got much of an advance from publishers if she used her own name. TBF others have done it, but I wonder how much time she spent on this project, about 5 minutes I reckon, total insult to proper writers out there.
Teasmade said…
@Pantsface, Honestly, 95% of children's books seem to be in the illustrations--which she is NOT doing. So I do think that, given 32 pages (usual length) of pretty pictures, and told to come up with words (just one sentence, usually) for half of them (no words on facing pages) it just might take 5 minutes for most of us.

After the book, will we have the cartoon and the merchandising? The bench looks very quintessentially English to me. Will we have little bench and soldier toys etc? Then, of course, the audio book, narrated by the wife. She does voiceovers, you know, so this would be a cinch. She is well practised with Rabbit, Duck!
@Rebecca:

Without the dukedom, H would be `Prince H of Wales' and the wife would be `Princess H of Wales', just as Prince Michael of Kent's wife is `Princess Michael of Kent'.

This would not be a good idea-

We know that `Princess' is lower rank than `Duchess' - but the wife would see it that she is a Princess at last, ie she's won.

Moreover, she won't understand about having to use husband's name, not hers -

She call herself `M, Princess of Wales' and then `M, The Princess of Wales'.

Success!!! She's on a par with Diana!!!!!

That really wouldn't do.

Thinking about the book and how historically some of the terms used can have other meanings.

Benched - meaning you don't get to play (on the team)

or

aka bread-crumbing where someone is still in contact with you but no longer meeting up in person so that they are keeping you around (in case) while they check out other options.

A few others but ... but there is something funny about the idea of the book news, benching, the whole Bill Gates divorce and the jokes about there being an opening and then this.

@Judbya RE: Harry's soldier casting

I think... much like MM's failure to deliver in the thesbian realm, unless Harry is capable of understanding & re-delivering emotions (performative empathy aka "acting"), he will be unable to anchor any such production and would only be a side character for vanity or show.

Harry Styles recently took a war-boy role, he is new to acting, I don't know how his role was received (okay?) but he was not the main character to my understanding. Some known British battle film, more power to him.

PRINCE Harry does not seem quite as flexible or emotionally intelligent as Harry Styles (who I cannot quantify as an actor as I haven't seen him) so I highly doubt he would make a significant splash on our screens, especially if HIS WIFE is castrating his overall expression of self at the roots.

Can't wait to watch this whole trainwreck play out. Good lord what was the last public trainwreck we could see coming? Hmmm. Johnny Depp & Amber Turd?

Gargh!! Somehow I am aware of so many but can think of so few.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-9543049/Karl-Stefanovic-LAUGHS-Meghan-Markle-writing-poetry-husband.html
(This is the Australian Today show)
Snip: "Today host Karl Stefanovic LAUGHS at Meghan Markle for writing poetry for her husband Prince Harry - as she releases her first children's book about father-son relationships

Today host Karl Stefanovic scoffed at Meghan Markle on Wednesday while discussing her new children's book about father-son relationships.

The Channel Nine presenter, 46, couldn't believe the book, titled The Bench, had started out as a poem the Duchess of Sussex had written for her husband Prince Harry on Father's Day...
The loose segment began with Karl's co-host Allison Langdon questioning the words on her own autocue, which compared Meghan to famous children's authors.
'Meghan Markle is joining the ranks of Roald Dahl and J.K. Rowling - oh, a stretch - by writing her first children's book about the bond between fathers and sons,' she said.
When Allison said there would be an audiobook coming out too, LA-based reporter Amelia couldn't hide her sarcasm.

'Yeah, can you imagine anything better? I mean, pop it on in the car, pop it on at home when you're cooking dinner. Meghan's dulcet tones...' she said.

Back in Today's Sydney studio, Karl slammed his desk and burst into laughter, then said: 'They actually write poetry together!'

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is to publish a children's book next month titled The Bench about the relationship between a father and son based on her husband Prince Harry and the couple's child Archie, the publisher said on Tuesday."

He's pretty overweight and has a few health issues so I am surprised that he's doing so well.

OMG, that is scary indeed and rather strange considering their presumed good health. Statistically it boggles my mind. Oh I fell for you. Personallky I have talked to 3 RN's and none of them will get the shots (including my sister before what happened to our brother). They all say that it has not been tested enough to feel it is safe enough for them.

Maybe there is more of this we aren't hearing about these Covid vaccines. Like many people, I knew about the possible blood clots with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine but I had not heard anything bad about Pfizer. But upon reading their website (and confirmed by Pfizer rep) I learned in fact, rapid heart rate and blood clot has been reported. I had an inkling to tell my brother not to get the shot but he was eager and I was ambivalent. Now I hate myself for not telling him he maybe shouldn't have gotten it (since he used to listen to my medical advice). So I have to live with guilt over this.

AnT, do you know which vaccines? I think I recall that they weren't going to recommend AstraZeneca vaccines for women under 50 any longer? Also, Pfizer has been implicated in myocarditis (heart muscle inflammation) for a small number of males under 30.

The second Pfizer vaccine kicked my 16-year-old grandson's butt. He was quite tired and nauseated for several days after taking it. I would've been hesitant about him getting it, but he's had an offer from a well-known hospital to shadow the medical people this summer and a vaccine was required. (I suspect that the offer was tendered due to his college status and GPA; they may not have noted his age.) Had his mom known about the myocarditis that some small amount of males under age 30 have reportedly suffered, maybe she would not have signed the consent and accompanied him.

That being said, for those that are not taking the vaccine, the COVID-19 virus will cause extreme blood clotting. I'm still taking an 81 mg aspirin tablet daily. I was taking NAC (N-acetylcysteine) because it interferes with coagulation. I stopped taking NAC about a month ago because (a) vaccine and (b) I ran out (grin). Next time I'm near a vitamin shop, I shall go ahead and buy another bottle. It dissolves the bonds that make thick mucus, too, make it easier to cough out.

For the non-vaxxers, I would recommend that everybody ups their game when it comes to COVID masks due to the higher viral load of the variants, as well as OTC measures that can really increase your chances such as making sure your blood levels of vitamin D are adequate. Making sure that your blood sugar is well controlled, your diet is good, and your weight is within normal limits is also helpful (this is one of those do as I say and not as I do recommendations, just so y'all know).

I do not recommend taking the vaccine. I do not recommend not taking the vaccine.That is an individual decision based on your particular circumstances. I wasn't going to take it because of my allergies but I did the mental shrug and did it anyway with no ill results (aside from arm pain and tiredness), but this may not be true for you.

Sorry to hear abt your brother. Hope for a speedy and full recovery for him and you too.

My family and some of my colleagues have already received 2 doses of Pfizer. None of us had any severe reaction. In fact, apart from the sore arm the day after the vaccination, there was nothing else.

It is really up to the indiv whether to take the vaccine. Fyi in Singapore (we are using Pfizer and Modena), we are having a second wave, this time from the highly infectious indian mutant 3 cirus. Data released by the ministry of health yesterday showed that those who had received 2 doses of the vaccine either had mild symptons or are asymptomatic. None of those infected needed oxygen support. Results were not the same for those not vaccinated or only received one dose.
Hence, the govt is stepping up on the vaccination program.

Piers Morgan just penned an acid truth bomb on hubris of Meghan extolling the virtues of the bond between a father and his children when she's ghosted her own father and torched the bond between her husband and his father. The levels of delusion here are astounding, really.

Hmmm, I don't wish to rain on the comically sycophantic parade - but I suspect this book will become an instant historical classic for all the wrong reasons.

The whole notion of Meghan Markle dishing out advice to anyone about the relationship between fathers and children is absolutely ridiculous given the appalling relationships she and her husband have with their own fathers.

Yet her brazen decision to do it anyway is so sadly typical of a woman whose tendency for staggering hypocrisy is only matched by her extraordinary tone-deafness.

I'd honestly rather hear parenting tips from Britney Spears's god-awful father because at least they still talk to each other.

In the press release, Ms Markle is described as 'a mother, wife, feminist, and activist' who 'currently resides in her home state of California with her family, two dogs, and a growing flock of rescue chickens.'

What it didn't clarify is that she resides with a lot more animals than family members.

O/T

I’m reposting this from a previous thread/post

Re COVID vaccination.

I was asked by my GP (before both vaccinations) whether I’d ever suffered any severe allergic reaction to any vaccination, whether I was on any blood thinning drugs (I can’t remember all the questions asked unfortunately (they were listed on the documentation handed to me) I was also told if I developed a headache that lasted longer than 72 hours and/or developed any chest pains I had to contact my GP.

I’ve had my 1st and 2nd (AstraZeneca) vaccinations and I was unwell for around 4 days with flu like symptoms and the first night I suffered from insomnia. The 2nd dose, I suffered a little fatigue but that’s all. I drank lots of water prior to the vaccination (a nurse told a friend to do so when she had the Pfizer one) so I did the same. I took paracetamol and most of the side effects abated. My Mum in her late 70s had the same one as me and only suffered from slight fatigue on the 2nd dose.

My GP said, if you suffer side effects quickly (within hours) it’s a sign of a faster reactive immune system, but side effects also indicate you’d be unwell if you caught actual COVID. He added that most people who’ve have the Pfizer one, are more unwell (with side effects) with the 2nd dose. Personally I know people who suffered side effects with both AstraZeneca and Pfizer and some with none at all.
Miggy said…
@Raspberry Ruffle,

Thanks. I've taken a screenshot of that info to remind me what to look out for.

The headache and chest pain worries me slightly as I suffer from both in various degrees quite regularly.

How will I know if it's my 'usual' pain or caused by the vaccine? Aaarghhhhhh! 😓

@ Miggy,

I asked my GP about any concerns just before I had my 1st and 2nd vaccination. So I’d suggest the same to you, though my GP’s did ask a number of questions prior and they pretty much covered all I needed to know.

I was glad I got the AstraZeneca one, because I was more worried about any possible Anaphylactic shock with the Pfizer one.

Good Luck! :o)

My body: my choice, is I know what you usually say and thus I am puzzled why so many of you put yourself through the miserable aftermath of the jab - as if it be a case of the more I suffer the better it is for me.

Frankly, I think this covid thing is like Pascal's wager. It may be that the masking, distancing, lockdowning and jabbing has some benefit - or perhaps not, but are you prepared to take the risk that should you not perform these rituals bad things will happen to you. Having been brought up in faith schools the similarities are for me glaring.

@Raspberry Ruffle,

Unfortunately, I doubt there's enough time left for me to discuss my concerns with my GP.

Oh well - will just have to keep my fingers crossed that all goes well.

Thanks anyway. :)

O/T: For those deciding on vaccine vs. no vaccine, the nursing homes in my county have had *no* COVID-related deaths for those fully vaccinated since the State of Florida vaccination strike force vaccinated all of the nursing home residents that wanted the vaccine (some people refused the vaccines). I will say that the nursing homes were *very* proactive about handling the virus and protecting the residents.

The COVID deaths came mostly from elders that live independently in their own homes. I won't say they were all in good health, but they were in *good enough* health to care for themselves. What do I define as mostly? Seventy nine percent of our county deaths were from people aged 65 and above (79.2%). An additional 14.4% of the deaths were from people aged 55 to 64. When you throw the 45 to 54 age groups into the equation, that brings up an additional 4% of deaths. For people aged 30 and below in our county, there were *no* deaths.

Our schools have been open the entire year and teachers, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, janitors, and other assorted aides have not all died or even gotten ill. We had one bus driver death (from COVID) in the county.

Our (local) hospitals have gotten very good at treating people with COVID and keeping them from progressing.

People should probably also be looking at the number of people with long-haul COVID with long-term disabilities from the virus when they make their decisions. Sadly, we don't really know at this point, just like we do not know if there are long-term consequences of the vaccines.

As my ex is a GP and I know how he has made major errors in the past based on drug representative's info, I would suggest that people educate themselves rather than getting the pharmaceutical company's spiel from their GP.

Secondly, since I react badly to everything, I will not be getting any vaccine and will depend on prevention and treatment of Covid for my health. Like I said previously, my 72 year old neighbour caught Covid and took tonic water and zinc and his symptoms have subsided almost completely after 3 days. After 1 week, he no longer feels sick and will stop his quarantine in 2 more days.

This is the future of covid issues - treatment - since we cannot get vaccinated every 4 months for the rest of our lives. The vaccines are only good for 4-6 months.

MEGHAN MARKLE has won her copyright claim against a British publisher over the publication of a "personal and private" letter to her estranged father.

I'd like to know why it took so long for the MOS court to find out J Knauf didn't help draft her letter. It seems like that would be an issue discovered early on.

It's obvious to me that TM's daughter wanted her handwritten!! letter published since she shared it with the 5 "friends." Her lawsuit only caused the Streisand Effect of drawing more attention to it.

I can't bring myself to read the article, so sick and tired of her & him.

How can they keep coming up smelling of roses after all the stuff they do and say... speechless.
@ Miggy,

O/T

I asked on the day of my vaccination, I didn’t get any opportunity beforehand either. If they think whatever one isn’t right for you, they will discuss options with you. ;o)

Author Corinne Averiss has tweeted about this 3 hours ago:

“Reading the description and published excerpt of the Duchess’s new book, this is nor the same story or the same theme as The Boy on the Bench. I don’t see any similarities.”

And then she turned off commenting.
@Miggy asked about the gap between shot 1 & 2-

We were expecting 12 weeks but it turned out to be 11.

@Girl with a Hat,

O/T Re COVID.

I’ve known people who’ve died from COVID and survived. All countries are dealing with this differently, including what vaccinations are being used. I’m in the U.K. and I’ve done a lot of beforehand research, plus I’ve been been unwell with all other vaccinations to date. I still got my vaccinations done regardless. No vaccination is 100% safe; I make my own choices and take chances as I see fit.

Ant great V sum up we finally fell to the pressure but partly because hubby's boss kept asking every week. a little pressure! I got JNJ hubby got Pfizer - one kid pfizer, one kid moderna - we are our very own petri dish! Kids required by college. Me, I want to get back traveling and attending in person concerts more worried about long-term effects on the kids (how it may alter cells ways of fighten other infections/viruses; could it impact fertility) but their colleges require it to be in person. We gave them the info and let them make their decision. I am ok that people are getting it and ok for those that dont. I will say one thing, and it may be coincidence but two days after i had my bad vaccine reaction, my dog had uncontrollable shakes lethargy (and high white blood cell count). My sister's cat same thing two days after she had her vaccine reaction (different vaccine) same issues. (different city too) and since facebook took down the vaccine reaction page and google is downplaying searches i cant do decent searches on if this is a thing or not. Thankfully both pets are back to normal

On a harkles note, now we know why news of the book was released to take attention off of the appeal. The palace appears to be backing away. I am guessing they just want it all to go away.

Also, please note the Vs do not necessarily stop you getting it, or spreading it. They simply give you a chance (66% to 94%, depending on V brand) of having a less terrible reaction or illness from the virus. Which may be absolutely enough for most people, yes!!!! but I am not sure people are aware of the limitations. I assume as they test and develop. effectiveness might improve.

My concern is, the gamble. I am willingly taking a V that might seriously harm me, that I might not even need if I have the ability to fight it and develop antibodies naturally as I did before, and as others may have as well since many people experience nothing to little if they catch the virus.

So, to me, in my case, I have to ask: is it like layering a risk on top of a risk. For those who have had bad reactions to a flu V, or PEG, for example, or who have other allergies or conditions, it's a serious consideration. Not a blithe "oh well give it a whirl, join the club, take a selfie with your cute bandage, woo hoo, I'm a hero!" thing. Because once this particular kind of V jab is in you, and its delivery system embeds. So okay you are covered and that sounds great -- but you cannot wait it out, or remove it if you are one of those who have some bad response to some part of its composition. THere's nothing they can do, and that worries me, yes. If you had no major reactions that is wonderful! But, the push to drive others with allergies to "take a chance" is bizarre to me. It's like forcing a peanut butter sandwich on a kid with nut allergies because every other kid is eating one. No caring person would do that.

Everyone needs to make a personal choice and for the oldest among us it is probably the wise thing to do per the doctors and scientists I know. For others, it is not so clear cut. In fact, is so confusing people are asking each other about it on sites like this one, because the info requires a bit of work to acquire and contemplate and continuing study as information emerges daily. My antennae go up when someone doesn't want to keep me easily informed about what they are injecting me with. Even your GP will explain a surgery to you.

@Snarkyatherbest,

Re your pets -- that sounds similar what one of my EU science friends mentioned they were monitoring, but with people -- something called shedding. I am totally paraphrasing this but basically, they noticed that as vaccinated people's bodies apparently get rid of virus cells or slough off virus or vac cell somehow (the word used was "shedding"), the shedded cells can then sicken those around them in near vicinity like a workplace or home, so those unvac'd people might get a clot, or fever normally associated with vac side effects.

-- I obviously don't know if it is the same with animals, but, that's interesting. since you are noting two cases. I will have to watch our two cats next week after Mr AnT gets his second P jab.

Prince William Launches YouTube Channel
As 'Ambushed' Prince Harry Teams
Back Up With Oprah Winfrey Amid Family Feud

https://radaronline.com/p/prince-william-kate-youtube-harry-oprah-tv-show-royal-family-feud/

The eldest son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana has launched a YouTube channel with his wife, Kate Middleton, and the timing couldn't be more interesting.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted their very first video to YouTube on Wednesday, the same day Radar exclusively reported that Harry is gearing up for round two with Oprah Winfrey!

While the royal family is "bracing themselves" after his last sit-down with the talk show queen ended with him and his bride Meghan Markle accusing someone in the palace of racism, William put on a happy face for the camera and warned Kate "to be careful what you say."

Sitting next to his wife, 38-year-old William wore his signature navy crew neck and joked, “By the way, you have to be careful what you say now because these guys, they’re filming everything."

The 25-second clip shows the duo's loving companionship and ends with Kate teasing William. “You didn’t need to roll your r’s," she told him, to which he cheekily responded, "Do I not?”

Fans immediately applauded the couple for normalizing themselves despite being part of the royal family. William and Kate's PR team were working overtime to outshine his little brother.

They also personalized the couple's Instagram handle, changing it from @KensingtonRoyal to @DukeandDuchessofCambridge.

As for Harry, the family are "terrified" over what he'll reveal next.
“The assumption is he will blame them and the institution for his own mental health struggles as well as blaming the UK press. They do know that Harry will be talking with Oprah about his life before he met Meghan and how the death of his mother shaped him. What the royal family don’t know is how much Harry is going to blame them," our insider told us.

The joint mental health series has been in the works for years and will be released this month. with Harry is the “co-creator and executive producer” of the series, despite having no former TV experience.

As Radar exclusively reported, Harry felt "ambushed" by William and Charles during an unscheduled two-hour meeting following Philip's service. Despite their attempts, the conversation between the three royal family members was “unproductive.”

We're told Harry refused to negotiate with his brother and father without Meghan present.

The Duchess of Sussex stayed behind in Los Angeles. She is currently pregnant with the couple's second child and it's a girl!

Hey:

So, copycat MM has put out a book to step on the publication of the photo coffee table book Catherine helped with.

Does this mean the Harkles are quickly having a "Diana holding Archie sitting on a bench" cement bust created for their garden by July 1? Will Megs be having it whittled or carved out of soap as Harry's "Father's Day" prezzie?

And if so --- will Harry choose to attend the unveiling of THAT, instead of the other Diana statue unveiling in the U.K.?
@AnT

Even the annual flu jab doesn’t stop you getting flu, you just get a milder version of it and less likely to die. We can only make life choices for ourselves, but not for others. ;o/

The royal family being "terrified" what the Dastardly Duo reveal next sounds like a fever dream. Exasperated, maybe, but terrified, not so much. All they have to do is say "Poor Harry; yes, he's suffered from mental problems for YEARS. Sadly, he would refuse help."

Show of hands, everybody! Does anybody anywhere actually believe that Harry is the "co-creator and executive producer"? Well, *somebody* is good at creative writing.

A Quiet Interlude

 Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

As Time Passes and We Get Older

 I started thinking about how time passes when reading some of the articles about the birthday.  It was interesting to think about it from the different points of view.  Besides, it kind of fits as a follow up the last post (the whole saga of can the two brothers reunite). So there is the requisite article about how he will be getting all kinds of money willed to him from his great-grandmother.  There were stories about Princess Anne as trustee (and not allowing earliest access to it all).  Whether or not any or all of this is true (there was money for him and/or other kids) has been debated with claims she actually died owing money with the Queen paying the debts to avoid scandal.  Don't know but I seem to remember that royal estates are shrouded from the public so we may not (ever) know. However, strange things like assisting in a book after repeated denials have popped up in legal papers so nothing is ever really predicable.   We are also seein...

The Opening Act of New Adventures in Retail

 I keep thinking things will settle down to the lazy days of spring where the weather is gorgeous and there is a certain sense of peacefulness.  New flowers are coming out. increasing daylight so people can be outside/play and thinking gardening thoughts.  And life is quiet.  Calm. And then something happens like a comet shooting across the sky.  (Out of nowhere it arrives and then leaves almost as quickly.)   An update to a law suit.  Video of the website is released (but doesn't actually promote any specific product which can be purchased from the website).  A delay and then jam is given out (but to whom and possible more importantly - who did not make the list?).  Trophies almost fall (oops).  Information slips out like when the official date of beginning USA residency.  (now, isn't that interesting?) With them, it's always something in play or simmering just below the surface.  The diversity of the endeavors is really ...
