And now what direction to head in?

Well the court case has decided against him.  And are asking for him to pay the court costs.

Ouch on many levels and one of them is in the pocketbook.

Decisions, decisions.

If he doesn't try to take it farther, he may be able to increase the chances he could see his father again.  or not.

As much as KC may have wanted to see his son, he couldn't afford to (with or without observers).  The king needed to appear neutral in the decision.  Full stop.  It was about sending a message to the people making the decision, the public, his other son/wife/kids and ... his own wife about his values, how he needs to respond - which is following the lead of his mother, being neutral in decisions of what is best for the united kingdom.  Kingdom above family as much as you love them.

With the never explain, the king would have quite the problem of how to handle things if somehow there was a release that he was trying to sway the decision (even if he said no such thing).

Optics - something H does not seem to think about for the long term consequences of an action.  An example would be making a big deal about his battle count.  Why would we need to know this unless we routinely got in conversations of feeling a need to be able to best the people around us in something we think they cannot top?

So the visual of H visiting his father would be something when the decision was not yet made and it would lead to a lot (a really lot) of stories about how difficult this is for the king and what should happen, likely to happen and so on.  So why go there? thinks the palace.

But I think it goes deeper on the H side.  What I have been told, is that when kids get involved pretty heavily in the recreationals, they sort of  stay at that emotional age even though they continue to have annual birthdays celebrating chronological age.

So perhaps there is some part of H still hoping his dad would step in and help him the way his dad had in the past - making his life easier.  Like sending over prepared food (making certain his kid got fed).  And, I suspect money when needed.  H had a really good cushy life where he was well managed and helped to look good at being part of the BRF. He was part of a team and wasn't front and center like his dad or brother.

His wife, also had a lot of help from her father when she needed it in a similar fashion.  Meaning both had help from their family as an adult.  This continued from his family when she was in the process of joining the BRF (needing clothes, then pregnancy clothes).

Help (especially financial) does happen a lot (I know).  The problems come when the younger but still an adult doesn't learn how to handle their life without the continued help from the parent generation.  Hearing that it cannot continue is a really difficult conversation for everyone in it.  We know the king tried to have this and it did not go well.  Well, no one wants to hear that the tap is being cut off.

The other thing in play is the HRH.

I don't know but maybe someone was thinking the gag rule was off since the Queen had passed on or something.

I think of it as trying get a response, of some kind of acknowledgement of her.  A response would be positive as it is still a win because you finally got them to respond (as in I'm important enough for them to finally recognize me).  To have it show up now comes off as a little tossing of the kitchen sink though.  The only things left would be the kids or a divorce.  Or filming something at their house for what ever is left of the options to film something.

The other thought about the HRH is that it is a dangerous game.  Not the personal safety aspect but it will limit long term options (open or close or remove a door or window permanently).  Tolerance is already known to be low and this action comes off as ... highly provocative.  William is being schooled in playing the long game for strategic diplomatic moves for when he becomes king.  She may think of herself as a queen, powerful in chess, but I would bet good money that William would still out maneuver her in that match.

6pm News BBC - Henry wants reconciliation- still blaming RF but deserves accolade for his acting - so `sincere'. Also shot of * - Her bust looks like 32A
Henry just doesn't get it , does he? I couldn't watch it Nether could Mr Wild Boar -he switched to ITV. I am sickened by the BBC, I just hope that there are critical voices allowed to comment.
I suppose Henry can be said to be sincere, insofar as he genuinely believes he's been hard done by. Reminds me of a previous PM who escaped charges of lying on the grounds that he believed what he was saying was true.
Hope somebody reminds him that he had plenty of opportunity to bring the kids to the UK previously but there was no solid evidence that they actually exist, let alone came here, despite the claims of a proven liar that they had had clung to the legs of a 96 yr old monarch who was shortly to die of bone cancer.
Ah, I knew Henry was in London but have only just found out, via SMM, that he's lost his case and will have to fork out something like £1.5 million.

My heart goes out to His Majesty King `IamnotaBank', and the rest of the immediate family, especially as those who haven't been following this forensically are likely to be sympathetic to Henry. Bloody BBC.

The BBC interview now published in the DM did not do the lad any favors. He talks out of both sides of his mouth. Paints himself a victim still. But the most d*mning: "My father will not speak to me because of this security stuff". Really? Is that what you think Harry? The duo have financial problems of 1.5M in legal fees, and he carps on about his children cannot see his homeland and wanting a reconcilation. This just boggles the mind. A truly repentant son would load the children up, security or not, and fly over on his own dime, and ask to see his father, without cameras. The clock is ticking.

The baron has found the Truth (BBC). And now he has started to dictate what he expects of his family. He knows his father can organize his full security as he wants it to be. That man is arrogant entitled weakling!

He had that fine word he told the world he expected of his family - ACCOUNTABILITY. Yes everybody else never himself.

The real problem is the money of course or the lack of it to be precise.

It seems to me that one way forward might be for arrest warrants to be issued for both Henry and his controller and charge them with treason , then get them extradited if necessary and then subject them to the due process of the criminal law.

As it is, anything issued by the Palace is likely to be greeted with `They would say that, wouldn't they?' regardless . It should be for the Court to make the the evidence public, examine it closely and then decide. For instance, the Court, I imagine, could order DNA tests of the alleged kid's DNA, without His Majesty being involved.

I am incandescent over the sheer effrontery of the Duke of Windsor.2 and hesitate to check my own blood pressure ...

God Save the King and perdition to faithless princes.

Is Harry accusing his family The Royal Family of murder plans? In the Guardian article: Harry "had "discovered that some people want history to repeat itself, which is pretty dark". Asked who he meant, Harry declined to answer".

That is not entitlement it is psychiatric illness!

Harry says that he has disagreements with "some of his family". I would like to know who are the members of the Royal Family who want to have contact with that moron at the moment? Who are those members who can trust him?

@GWAH
Very entertaining?

Baron Harry is The Most Important Briton Alive and you are going to give him Everything, that is EVERYTHING, he demands and the first man who will start this giving is his father.

(And NEVER mind that his father is old and fighting cancer. He is not important. Harry is.)

Harry truly seems to do his best to make his father's last years as miserable as possible. Such a charming character.

So Prince Harry finally agrees that it was NEVER only about the UK, it was about his IPP status - that would entitle him to free security around the world.

In his two page "manifesto" Harry insinuates that his mother was murdered and that the same people who murdered her (whom he refuses to name but he probably means his father) also want him and his wife dead.

Someone, somewhere posted a comment which talked about how H talked about leaving the UK which made it sound as if it was more of a push/shove than a gentle consideration in his latest outburst towards the end of it.

Kind of funny in that I was reading a SMM questioning if they were pushed out or not.

Maneki Neko said…
I am sick and tired, as must be the entire UK, of Harry's moaning. He has never specified what the threats to his life or his family's were. Is he genuinely more at risk than other members of the family who do not get 24/7 protection? He doesn't realise that all this whingeing and constant carping is extremely unbecoming and tedious. He is an embarrassment to the UK.

Just to show how unaware and delusional he is, Harry said 'I would love reconciliation with my family there's no point in continuing to fight anymore, as I said life is precious.'. But who is fighting constantly? And since he seems to be at war with the BRF, one has to ask why he wants reconciliation unless, of course, it's for financial ends. In the past, Harry has managed to slip into the UK unnoticed and he the missus like to fly private so what's the problem? He's hardly likely to pop into a McDonald's or KFC down the road for lunch/dinner, the threats to his life are imaginary, I'd say. I see *'s hand in this, she's been playing the Diana tape from the start.
Maneki Neko said…
'Prince Harry has called on the Home Secretary to step in and review the body which authorises protection for senior royals - as he issued a fresh statement on his failed bid for security in the UK.'
Stop digging.

I'd say she was pushed, he jumped.

It was * who(m) the late Queen had pulled out of a meeting at the National Theatre, following her refusing to see the Queen because she was off to the NT . We weren't told why HM wanted to see her, was it to give her a dressing-down? Had she already gone too far.
By going to the NT despite HM's or `request', she must have sealed her own fate. In effect, she defied a Royal Command.

Now for Henry. There was a report that * gave him the choice of going with her or staying here - but she made it clear that if he didn't go with her, the marriage was over and he could say goodbye to Archie as well.
It was reported that she did this by some sort of dumb show with her wedding ring. I've no idea if this was true but I got the impression that Henry did hesitate and I hoped he would stay, if only to put an end to their pantomine.
It is a fact that stress is a very bad thing and high stress extremely bad thing for a person who is fighting cancer or any serious disease. If any person inside the Royal Family is planning to kill some member of the same family one thing is clear. King Charles is not planning anybody's death.

But I believe his beady-eyed weasel of a son is destroying The King's health with alarming efficiency and is quite clearly going to go on destroying it till he gets everything he wants. And I don't believe the security is the only thing he wants. After he gets it he is going to start with all the financial demands he has. Every time he gets something there will be the next thing that is his RIGHT. It is so he and his wife function.

Destroying the Monarchy if his demands are not accepted full is baron Harry's modus operandi. I wonder if anyone has ever tested his IQ in the school or the army. The results are of course quite clear: His grandfather, his father, his uncle Andrew and his brother William are all competent pilots and there are lots of pictures of all of them flying different sort of machines. In spite of the best tuition there is in Britain's air forces baron Harry that living legend of aviation NEVER learned to fly. That tells his life's story better than anything. And that maybe the reason to all his anger management issues: raging inferiority complex?

Some headlines are screaming that the King has `reacted' to Henry with the statement from BP. I would have said he `responded'.
A wise counsellor once encouraged me to `respond' and not `react'. It took me time to appreciate the difference.
Newton's 3rd Law says that `to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction'- he was certainly thinking of the physical world but in the present context the key is `equal and opposite' ie giving back what you got, to te same degree or possibly more, in fierce opposition.
I believe the King has responded in a considered way, stating undeniable facts and not offering anything to precipitate a fuller outburst.

Am sure I've said before that doing nothing is not necessarily a sign of weakness - it takes determination not to rise to the bait and be caught on a fatal `hook'. Sooner or later, something will happen to change the state of affairs and cut through the knots. Perhaps it will at last dawn on * that they are up against an immoveable object but their force is not irresistible. She might suddenly walk out on him, who knows?
Harry said that this is a family dispute and only the MINORITY of people especially those who read tabloids think that he has no right to top tax paid security. And he speaks of the disagreement between him and SOME of his family. I believe he means his father and brother.

And all will be fine and all the repugnant feelings vanish immediately when he gets everything he demands.

Well I do not believe that The Princess Royal or her family, The Edinburghs, The Gloucesters, The Kents, The Princess Alexandra, The York Princesses or any of The Princess Margarets children not to mention all the more distant cousins are ready to accept the baron of boo-hoo-hoo back to their family happenings and to the knowledge of their private affairs. Today they all know they are just juicy potential for filthy tabloid cash. If Harry believes they are ready to welcome him back with open arms he does not know his family or ANY normal family.

I'm not saying anything about the Spencers. They are a different issue.

But his idea that the majority of his father's subjects love and adore him and want him back with full security?

Yes, he can believe whatever he wants if it comforts and pacifies him in that tiny restricted area that exists between his ears.

He said : "I thought that the one thing I could rely on is my family keeping me safe".

But he ALSO thought (still is thinking, no apology there) that he had the RIGHT to accuse The Princess of Wales of racism and risk HER security and safety in the hands of some violent race baiter who would want to attack and punish her because of his filthy insinuations?

Out of interest, I looked up both * and HM King Charles and `measured' them by checking how many pages would be needed to print off the entries.
HM's went to 43 pages in all, 55 in ILBW's case; given their respective ages and achievements, it tells you quite a lot, before you even read them.
Blimey! Mr Wildboar has just suggested another `mad or bad' individual who died soon after his 56th birthday and who's getting mentioned in the media quite a bit right now for being a cause of `Victory in Europe' Day (to use its full name) ,
Even he runs to only 48 pages...

True, I thought Archie looked rather tall for a 6 year old (nearly), so did Lili. And, as ever, the dreary, boring, silly b&s pix taken from the back. * may as well not bother.
Baron Harry's problem is that he has totally lost his status and he can't understand why. It is obvious that he thought that he would be as important and influential in the USA as he was as a prince at home. His status was never because of his stunning personality and 100 % because of his place in the HIERARCHY of The Royal House of Britain. If you do not understand that when you are a member of that House it is a pity but it is so.

The Duke of Windsor had that same problem and his life was very tragic because of it.

So it goes.
Is it possible that the deep and tragic unhappiness of Harry in his marriage is the reason why he shouts to his father to give him security. Like a little boy who expects daddy to come and blow the pain away? If that is behind all this at least it would make it somehow understandable. Not acceptable but understandable.

What caught my eye is that the DM had something about it could have been taken at their house but I don't think so. I didn't think the water was that close to them. @abbyh: The Grauniad's piece is quite a turn-up for the book - truly astonishing. I don't think I've ever whole-heartedly agreed with then before. That's at least worth opening a bottle of my latest country wine for!
There's a report/rumour? on SMM today, in response to speculation about Henery never being around for `Archie's' birthday. To whit, that he fathered a child /son? on a staff member at BP.
Sounds reasonable to me, after all, there was an enigmatic post, supposedly from legit Royal sources, that there was no need to worry about Archie because he was with a/his family who love him. Does anyone else remember this?
Also, he's not eligible for the LoS as his father is not lawfully married to his mother.

The photo of Archie standing in front of the sunset - with his head encircled by the sun, creating a halo - was apparently taken on an estate in Mexico. Today’s anniversary reminds me of being on a cruise with a lecturer from BBC History magazine. What transpired seems to link with the Beeb’s attitude to Henry M-W. One sea day, said lecturer asked us all to nominate ` memorable’ historical events of our lives for discussion later.
Most other passenger were older than I and every one said `VE Day’ but in generalities without any convincing detail of their own experience. I’d hoped for specifics like `We had the day off school and ran riot’ or `Mum opened the tin of salmon she’d saved in September ‘39’. It was as if they’d constructed their `memories’ from what they’d read. Not like my history teacher who was so excited because it was her 15th birthday that she forgot that there was no school and arrived to find everything locked up!
I, on the other hand, was too young for VE day and offered watching the spectacular Coronation procession from a stand in Whitehall in 1953. So I had to defend my choice in front of an audience as to why this was not only memorable but `historically significant’. I felt waves of disapproval and mockery from the lecturer for being an unreconstructed imperialist.
Had I said something more p.c, like hearing announcements about the death of Jan Masaryk (1948), that British troops had gone into action in Korea (1950) or that the Rosenberg’s had gone to the electric chair (1953), I’d have been safe, even though I had no personal involvement. I felt humiliated and too taken back to challenge him. Hell’s teeth, I was only a little girl in ‘53.
There was one consolation. One kind lady came up to me afterwards and congratulated me for being was the only one who had actually answered the question – as it was about personal memory and experience.

Nothing changes about the Beeb’s attitude, does it?

Maybe she was new to diabetes or something where it might not be known exactly mentioned as such.

I haven't been able to find the carton of Kamikaze-Harry-kiri but did find a nasty image from South Park's new Harkle bashing. I didn't click on it so can't provide a link. Just be ready for it when watching the film.
`Open caskets' are not used in British funerals; family members visit the Chapel of Rest before the funeral if they wish to see their loved ones for a final time, before the solid coffin lid is screwed down. We are not a nation which needs to see our our dead leaders displayed just to prove that they are really dead.
My opinion of South Park is now very low.

BTW On a darkly humorous note, as a Brit, I find the American usage of `Funeral Home', for what we call a Chapel of Rest, rather disturbing. It conjures up an image of a circle of corpses sitting in the mandatory high-back chairs, staring at emptily at a TV on permanent Channel 3, just as many of them would have done in a `Care Home'.
This being Sunday, my thoughts turned in an ecclesiastical direction and I began to consider Henry’s endless repetition of his grievances, a form of complaining commonly regarded as a `litany’. You may have watched a broadcast of the funeral of the late Pope Francis, with the Litany of the Saints at te end. That is, they were asking individual saints by name to pray for the soul of the Pope with the refrain such as `… St Francis of Assisi, pray for us..’ in Latin of course. There are very many saints and the chant can last a considerable time.

Anyway, this set me wondering who might be the best candidate as a patron Saint for Henry?
St Lucy/Lucia perhaps? She’s the patron of those with sight impairment, on the grounds that there’s none as blind as them as won’t see. Then I realised – St Jude, patron saint of Lost Causes…
PS I forgot to state the obvious - the problem is that he's a total devotee to the Blessed Virgin Meghan Markle.

I was thinking about this - how many of you believe that if the press held them to account, they would have been toast long ago?

For example, when there is mention of reconciliation with the BRF, if the journalists slipped in a mention of Thomas Markle and ask why he is being forgotten.... or when she keeps changing her story, if the journalists recall that there was a previous version to her story.

Or would this kind of behaviour on the part of the media be futile?

@GWAH - the press has attempted to hold them accountable to their words and actions! The duo's response is to play the victim card and race card. I gree that truth wins out in the end - however the problem is a woman who thinks any press ...is good press, because her name is out there. If the press would quit reporting on them - good grief, look at all the rerun aritcles that are popping up - they would be toast. The incident of a 4 car motorcade to attend an evening event where there was no one waiting for their arrival is the case in point. They are special in their own eyes - no one elses. The Press is still feeding that monster.
And O/T - I have to laugh, Harry wants reconciliation with his family but he cannot return unless he is given IPP security. If Harry really wanted a reconcilation with his family, he would bring them over, pay for his own security, let the family know where he is staying and await a response with no press leaks. Note the no press leaks. That...is the catch that neither of them will given up.

Secret Epstein Video Allegedly Showing Prince Andrew with Virginia Giuffre Expected to Be Released: Report

I agree with what you said but the BRF are not at Harry's beck and call. Their diaries are set up to a year in advance and I think it's up to Harry, who in any case doesn't really have much to do - apart from following wifey - to make the effort to visit his family since *he* is the one who wants a reconciliation. He would have to be invited and could fly over but there's the rub, it's too dangerous for him...

Re: secret video.

This is one of those really rare moments when I am grateful the Queen has not had to live through the uproar. She had some really tough years.
Thanks , Magatha. I wasn't aware of St Dymphna - she's exactly who Henry needs!
BTW I found a neat observation about hypocrisy by Diarmaid MacCulloch in his `Silence : a Christian History', p 202, when he talking about the hitherto
respected theologian Paul Tillich:
`One can without too many ethical problems rely on the professional expertise of a hypocritical car mechanic, but the stock in trade of theologians is honesty , and the same rules do not apply', a sentence that is easily amended to cover members of the Royal Family, whether renegade or loyal.

`
At one point this morning, Yahoo News had these 2 stories right next to each other:

Looking at the photos, I wonder, Is ILBW morphing into Katie Price, or is it the other way round? Not a pretty look which ever it is.

I can't imagine any Epstein videos would be released to the general public, particularly anything featuring 'little kids'. In any case, Virginia Giuffre was certainly not a child and not a minor, I believe, at the time of her alleged encounter with Andrew. Unsavoury he may be but he is not a paedophile.

SMM has something abut Henry's father paying for his security in the early years of his defection. Perhaps His Maj felt that he'd never forgive himself if anything happened to H which security could have prevented?
I doubt if Wm feels the same.

Yes, one might wonder 'ILBW is morphing into Katie Price, or is it the other way round?' Katie Price now looks like a caricature of *.

Re the second Yahoo article, I don't know if the duo 'are enjoying “a honeymoon period” at home in Montecito' - that's debatable - but this is absolutely spot on: “One of Meghan’s biggest issues was that she never fully understood the gravitas of what it means to be marrying into the Firm,” the source told us. “She didn’t necessarily understand the rules and how it operates. The royal family isn’t a normal family, so a family argument or, even worse, an estrangement, isn’t the same for the royals as it is for everyone else, including her.“ I would say * didn't understand the rules at all, didn't care and wasn't interested. Her loss.

If they are going to release any video/stills, it will be of Andrew, not Bill Gates or Bill Clinton. He seems to be everyone's favourite whipping boy in this context because his connection, Epstein is dead, while the Americans have connections all over government, law enforcement and the American media.

abbyh said…

abbyh said…
Nah, you did not screw something up. It was a different question someone else asked me about.

Things ... get quiet here. And I think more so over time.

I call it fatigue (maybe). People maybe reading us but may not be commenting.

And, it seems like the more time passes, the more it feels like we've seen this same kind of thing before - a deja vu repeat. (that gets boring in a world where people only want new, exciting and repeats are on the boring me attention span).

Also, IF you think that the kraken will be released "soon", that you might begin to lose some faith that it will happen at all when it shows not sign of suddenly appearing like deus ex machina, then other things begin to take a higher priority than staying in touch with what just happened and then a post doesn't happen. And another day passes, the desire to post lessens and people drift off. Their life is happening on a different stage than here.

This blog has been around for over 6 years. That's a long time. Especially if you thought this would be wrapped up after a couple of years.

I might have offended someone (and I'm sorry when I do). They might have become upset about something someone else posted (that I allowed to post). Most people don't tell me why they are ending posting.

So this is still here. And with *, she's still active and doing things we can find to talk about.

VE Day brought it home - Second World War, for Britain at least, lasted a few weeks short of six years (3rd September '39 to 15th August '45, when Japan surrendered, VJ Day
It's small wonder we're feeling war weary - from the announcement of the engagement in November 2017 , when so many of us thought `Oh deear...', it's been nigh on 7 and a 1/2 years, still with no definite end in sight, if there ever is one...
"Someone" was hysterically ringing the doorbells and not that person's bodyguards. Was the reason that no one can force one's bodyguards to buy illegal drugs? They simply must do transactions themselves? And when no drugs is to be found one becomes hysterical?

It seems that the kraken is going to be baron Harry's health. He is losing it rapidly.

And there is no money in the world you can earn by selling non existent "spreads". That is the baroness's kraken.

She is so past her youth and she was very ugly in that podcast with that woman with red ugly face and sick ugly "smile". No one is buying the story of baroness's happiness. She is happy only when she has money, money, money and when every one in the world envies her. Well, she has no money and nobody envies her.

This is a very good blog. With intelligent and sophisticated people who have ideas worth reading. That's all I have to say about that. But I understand the fatigue, I do.

So true! I gave them 2 years max, and yet 7 very long years later, we're still here. And we've been waiting for the kraken to be released but it looks like it won't be. As @abbyh said, we keep having these feelings of déja vu and are suffering from * fatigue. They're boring and predictable, yet do manage to surprise us. I don't think now anything major is going to happen so it'll be same old, same old for some time.

I just read the article in the DM about her markling of the Vogue editor, Erinfel. She wanted to be on the cover of Vogue magazine to coincide with one of her PR stunts - the one in NYC where she wore that short white dress atrocity on stage. He could only give her the front page of the digital edition, so she terminated the friendship. Do we need further proof that she only befriends people for the things she can get from them?
abbyh said…
That is a really good example of not thinking strategically GwaH.

An unwillingness to consider partial goals a stepping stone to get the final goal. Or the sense that this is cutting off your nose to spite your face when you don't get what you want, when you want it and exactly how you want it down to the hair curl.

It's like being offered the already working and in good shape farm of his father - where they could create the fruit, veg products she's now trying to pull off as well as being part of a larger (and increasingly the more important part of the BRF with the plan of slimming the monarchy) had they stayed on. Making money, support for making the product profitable, a continuation of the existing lifestyle, a place to call your own and also part of being something bigger than being totally on your own and lacking all the resources they could have had to maintain that life.

That was part of his father thinking ahead, trying to create a future for his other son when William became the POW which meant the money tap from the duchy would cease and be only for William and his family.

@Girl with a Hat

I saw the article. The DM seems to have a relentless drip drip drip of negative articles about *. These are just a rehash of old stories and I'm not sure why they need to reuse these stories. Today there's a story about how * wasn't happy with a vegan dish in the run-up to the wedding. She said she could taste egg in it and had 'a tense exchange with a member of staff'. Translation : the said member of staff got hauled over the coals. Her Majesty had some stern words of advice for Meghan. 'Suddenly the Queen walked in and said: "Meghan, in this family we don't speak to people like that."' The article also mentions a story where * 'was allegedly so rude to an under gardener that the head gardener in Windsor felt the need to complain to the late Queen, who is said to have then drove over to Meghan to give her a dressing down.'. We've heard it all before but it's good to be reminded how awful * is and how she blew every chance she had while she was in the BRF.

@abbyh

The duo never think ahead, never plan properly, never have a strategy or even any direction, so the result is the failed ventures that we see.
Some youtube channel had a story about baron Harry writing a letter to The King and demanding permission to take part in the 300 years festivity of the Order of Bath in Westminster Abbey. According to this story the palace (not CIII personally) answered NO.

1. This may be just somebody's idea to sell the world for clicks.
2. This may be true. If it is deep suck. Harry may think that he has rights because he is the son of The King. But what Harry thinks is irrelevant. The one thing the Royal Household can not do is invite Harry to any happening because after that it has nothing to do with the do and everything to do with the Markles i.e. an ugly circus from hell.

We may see more comments about what Harry wants and demands when we move towards June and the Trooping of Colour.

I don't believe Harry is going to ride with his army comrades as a member of the Royal Family ever again, but what do I know?

Girl with a Hat said…
@abby, those are some very good points.
It reminds me of a narc I know who used to complain about depression to me and my ex-husband, who is an MD. He would tell her that he would give her a prescription for antidepressants, but it would take a few weeks to kick in. She would always respond "I want to feel better NOW" and refuse. Then, 3 months later, the whole scenario would repeat itself. This went on for 5 years until we both had enough of her.

Gosh It Is Quiet In Here

There just hasn't been a lot from really either of them together or individually lately, has there? But why? Have they blown all their bridges, connections and are down to toss the proverbial kitchen sink for attention? I don't know.  We've heard that moving vans showed up at the house.  And nothing more like pictures from a neighbor happy to see the back of them. We've heard they bought a house on Portugal.   But the wording was kind of funny.  Multiple sources of the same thing - yes but that isn't a guarantee of proof as it could all be from the same source.  It was more along the lines of "We've been told that...".  It came off as a we really don't know if we believe this to be true or not so we are putting it out there but hedging our bets.  Or at least it did to me. And nothing more like exactly when, where or for how much or when they might visit it again.  Or pictures of the awesome inside.  Or outside.  Or requisite ...

As Time Passes and We Get Older

I started thinking about how time passes when reading some of the articles about the birthday.  It was interesting to think about it from the different points of view.  Besides, it kind of fits as a follow up the last post (the whole saga of can the two brothers reunite). So there is the requisite article about how he will be getting all kinds of money willed to him from his great-grandmother.  There were stories about Princess Anne as trustee (and not allowing earliest access to it all).  Whether or not any or all of this is true (there was money for him and/or other kids) has been debated with claims she actually died owing money with the Queen paying the debts to avoid scandal.  Don't know but I seem to remember that royal estates are shrouded from the public so we may not (ever) know. However, strange things like assisting in a book after repeated denials have popped up in legal papers so nothing is ever really predicable.   We are also seein...

Will She or Won't She?

I am talking about Catherine and Trooping the Color. It's barely over a week away and will she/won't she decision is leaning toward not in public media. The ceremony is almost three and a half hours beginning really at 10, parade starting 10:30 and flyover at 1.   That's a long time even if you are sitting.  Especially if you have not been out in public in a long time plus you have or feel you have to be the face of being the parent while your spouse is busy being officially second to His Majesty.  And He won't be on a horse this time (uproar over tradition). Yeah but, but ... what if she showed up for just part of it, like the flyover? OH, that would be heartwarming after worrying about her as she has been coping with her disease.   But ... eh, my guess is not.  Just because if she showed up, it would become the Catherine's back show instead of the celebration of the King's birthday.  And Catherine is known for being able to  be in the...
