You have to be willing to follow each and every rule, cross every T, dot every i and not just the ones you like, when you like OR you get dropped. Permanently (now that's a thougt). Protection is there only to protect, not get lunch, coffee, carry shopping bags or ever be filmed for your Instagram account. Real life with protection would make life inside Frog Cott feel like an unaccompanied walk in the public areas of Kensington Gardens on a big Diana anniversary day.
I suspect that the idea of being able to prance about with people following you would not be how it would play out IRL even if it had some of that freedom in the past. Because of past choices, perhaps things might be changed now to protect you better, protect the protection. I suspect there could be certain restrictions like give up social media like trips to pick out a tree or pumpkin. No fast food runs. No volunteer ever. No more shopping in a store - everything would have to be online or a private show. Private show (how cool) but not being able to talk or show pictures after. Everything having to be approved by London, ideas, locations checked for safety that would takes weeks as now there are multiple layers to the layers. Slower than top snail speed. Very restrictive. (malicious compliance - surely you jest) This could be a problem for her business and any future collaborations with (pick your big company).
Such a restricted life in this way is probably not their goal when they keep asking for it. Sad but in life, there are always trade offs to what you want and what you are willing to accept to keep it.
But ... if such restrictions were to be put in place ... we probably would see and read less about what she is doing. Her safety is important, you know.

From what I heard the goal pushed was your troop and council will benefit from you selling the cookies. Rivels were the other troops and slightly your fellow scouts.
A couple of years ago I seem to remember seeing a record your sales card with gimmie "gift" aka GS swag for different sales goals printed on it. If I did remember this correctly, that is a very different value of why (I get versus we benefit as a group - team cooperation). And I'm not really convinced that it is really teaching how to sell as a skill transferable to the adult world of sales as a way to succeed. It doesn't seem to be the door to door (cold sales/door shut in your face versus warm - table at a grocery store, parent asking coworkers, parent asking affinity group).
It also would be making the cookie sale less profitable to the troop and council.

I must admit that in my eyes the situation of the Royal Family has become a very strange combination of Dallas, Dynasty and the Bold and the Beautiful with a possibility of children that have no place in the line of succession and a marriage that is the the greatest love story of our times (or not). Will there be a divorce or not? What will happen next? Will Harry truly come back to the hell of his youth? Will he be trapped again? Can he accept that William gets more sausages than he? Which tiaras will his wife demand? Which members of the government demand that Harry will be crowned next king? Will his wife demand the anointing with the holy oil in her coronation?
Will the King's new motto be Après Moi, Le Déluge!! (because he doesn't give a damn?)
The good news of his health must be a great relief for the Waleses for this means more years in family life with George, Charlotte and Louis growing up in peace.

What really caught my eye is the whole renaming Archwell.
