Complicated or Drama

A flitter here - The Cut.  Flitter there and it's Variety.  It hasn't been People for a while so maybe they're next in rotation.   Oh, and building the playground.  Kaboom is actually pretty big and known nationally trying to help increase the activity levels of kids.  Great.  Uvalde is great, I get it but I cannot help but wonder if there would be some equally deserving places in LA. Closer to home.  Closer to local eyes (especially if there could be some sort of political something some time).   Each participation  always seems to be something in a new direction from the last one - not settling and doing a deep dive into a single subject but more like skipping stones on a pond - shallow taps which drop.  Quietly. The participation is lauded far and wide.  And how much they participated in getting it to happen is not disclosed. Ever.  If the financials get released, that would be an interesting read.  But number...

Is That New?

The Valentine Low book will be out in a day or two.  The USA release is late January so it will miss the December holiday rush.  Too bad.   We have already had a few excerpts from it.  Goodness knows what else is there lurking in the pages waiting to confirm the suspecting mind or shock the unprepared mind who hasn't been following this saga. How do you hold a moonbeam in your ...

I was reading some of the parts from the new book and and thinking about all the little flashing yellow lights released so far. Like the troubles of all the assistants written off as just Americans can just be direct so it is a style of behavior.  Well, maybe?  But humiliation towards someone  is not the same as being direct.  Direct can be a little abrupt without a please or thank you but it is more about getting to the heart of solving a problem.  Humiliation is just mean.   A polite way would be: I wonder if you tried reversing those two parts to see if that can get them to fit? A direct way would be: Reverse those two parts and they ought to fit. A humiliating way would be: I can't believe you are so stupid that you need me to tell you this.  Reverse those two and it will work!   It does, however, give some ammunition to the charges of bullying.   Or "control the press or I am leaving you." Yeah good luck with that on...
