How will the Sussexes respond to the Cambridges' PR coup?

The controversy over uber-environmentalist Meghan and Harry's private jet flights took another turn Thursday, when the Cambridge family was photographed emerging from a budget airliner on which they travelled to Scotland.

In what is being called a PR masterstroke, the Cambridges demolished the idea that the Sussexes were unable to travel commercial for security reasons.

(Although I'm guessing there was some additional security on that flight; I doubt the Royal Family would trust the lives of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th in line to the throne to some novice pilot who had just finished flight school. Military pilot in the cockpit?)

Vacationing at home

The Cambridge photo shoot also made clear that it is possible to take one's summer vacation in one's own Kingdom, instead of someone else's kingdom (or republic).

And drove the nail in a bit deeper that the Sussexes have apparently not been invited to visit the Queen and Prince Philip at Balmoral.

What do you think the Sussexes' response will be?

More testimonials from past-their-prime celebrities and no-name wedding guests, like Idras Elba's latest wife?

Showing another Archificial body part on Instagram?

Or something else entirely?

@Lurking, my my my I'm in the UK and I didn't see this (probably as its bank holiday weekend and contrary to Megcons beliefs we commoners do have over things to do/think about) I see the gloves are off then.

Harry needs a time out, stop acting hard-done-to and be a 'father' and as for Megs, well she was never mother material. I hate to say it, but the more these two act like total entitled under-dogs the more the Cambridges look like rockstars. Carry on Megs. We are all waiting for that Royal perfume you will flog.

Yep. I’ve taken them with a grain of salt - supposedly someone who has inside knowledge and has chosen Skippy’s blog as a conduit to the public. The clues are necessary to maintain anonymity. Whomever it is has to be very well educated, given the liberal usage of Shakespeare in the clues and likely British upper class by my guess. I think we’re alone down here Jdub, on my ipad it looks like comments end further up - the “more posts” icon is quite obscure.

If I use my phone, it looks different than my iPad. And my desktop too.

Sorry, when referring to Shakespeare I was meaning “MMAnon”. The one you are referring to is I think “Allegedly Anon”. There’s a couple of them who post on that blog.

I see y'all. I'm not sure what to make of them, honestly. Could be legit anonymous clues, could be somebody "merde of the bat" crazy (hat tip Elle). I do not have enough experience with Skippy to form an opinion.

LOL, Elle, your commentary has made me laugh so hard as I read! I am from Arizona, but was raised by a Georgia Peach, and while I have never resided there myself, let me assure you that my Mama made sure that I was well schooled in the "Proper way to do Things."! That has come in handy now that we live in Texas, for while it is not Georgia....there is a sense of the "Proper Way" here as well. I do some minimal decorating for the seasons, mostly on the mantle, but nowhere near as much as many of the ladies I know. It is certainly a different way of life!

Since this would have been scheduled a few months ago, I just think it was excellent timing. Those cheap flights sell out really fast.

SL isn't too concerned about 'funny business', she worked for The Clinton Foundation & for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

It was just so predictable I would have been more surprised if they didn't do this.

I wouldn't be surprised if Megs is diverting some money and/or properties into Doria's name for later use.

Good Lord, here is their (Sussex) response to the Cambridge brilliant PR move.
Harry and Meghan go to a pub with Archie and have cheap roast dinner!! This is hilarious! I think their PR team is trolling them. You cannot make this up! We tried in the above post and no one could have come up with anything this laughable!!
Harry and Meghan swap jet-set lifestyle for £15 pub roast with Archie

Meghan will leave Harry. I'm sure she finds him boring, lacks imagination, too much a part of the institution he abhors. The only romance shes capable of sustaining is one with power and money. Men are too confining & they want stuff from you

I think I'll open a bakery called "It's Just a %$#@* Cupcake."

JL - I LOVE "Her walls take me for an idiot and I resent it." I'm still laughing!

I'm a Cancer, and that is spot on, much to my husband's chagrin.

I'm also a Texas girl so let me add one thing to the Southern GTFO thread and say "Bless her heart."

New Year (and what's next?)

Another year and what will it bring for them (and us who watch)?   One thing I thought of is control of their image for appearances.  It isn't just that they have lost so many people in such a fairly short time period but who they lost.  The people who advised, handled details to make the events happen - road trips to volunteering.  We've been saying all along that each loss is a ripple of warning towards a potential new hire coming in.  New hires, yes but what about fund raising?  Cash flow?  This, from SMM, is an interesting read: https://www.reddit.com/r/SaintMeghanMarkle/comments/1puzsvh/impact_report_990_review_from_a_nonprofit/ Which leads us to money.  Keeping their image engine running costs a lot.  No doubt there are a lot details, paperwork, contracts to negotiate and find new groups to partner with.  Hence the need for a good team. The duo could do some of it or all but for how long?   side note: the peopl...

So, when does the dirt on Meghan come out?

"This is only hearsay, but in London a Brit socialite who knew her way around money, Europe, royalty told me - and my companion, so I wasn't alone in hearing this - that Meghan was known in the old days. 'She was around the famous playgrounds Europeans visit...and known to be shopping for a rich husband.'" That's a quote from Cindy Adams in yesterday's New York Post . Cindy is old - so old that she interviewed the original Duchess of Windsor. "Who was also American,"  writes Cindy.   "She was not happy afterward. She was tough. I interviewed her. She was constantly looking to negotiate some sort of financial betterment." So, when does the dirt start coming out? How about now. Who will drop the information? We've had more than 1200 comments since the Sussex summit on Monday, so please allow me to repeat part of my answer to a question hidden somewhere within that forest of text. A regular commenter asked for my input ...
