If you're a Beatles fan, you'll know that in the fifty years since the group went its separate ways, almost everyone involved with them has sold his or her story.
Only one major figure has not: Jane Asher, who was Paul McCartney's girlfriend for five years during the heyday of the group, and accompanied him on the famous trip to India in 1968. An actress, Jane went on to become a TV personality and famous cake-baker. She has never spoken about her time with McCartney and dislikes being asked.
Until recently, the Sussex saga had included a similar figure: Trevor Engelson, Meghan Markle's ex-husband.
Trevor has never spoken about Meg. But he has done well for himself: he married a wealthy woman, continues to work as a producer, and seems to have a loyal (and multi-racial!) circle of friends, unlike some people we know.
He appeared to have excused himself from the whole soggy mess.
Until yesterday, when he was papped.

The Daily Mail exclusively caught Trevor getting his hair trimmed in a Beverly Hills salon. Trevor "politely declined to comment" on Meghan and Harry's story.
But the photo shoot seemed planned and pre-approved. Trevor was nicely dressed in a black sweater with matching trousers and Gucci athletic shoes - the casual look of the wealthy Californian - plus carrying what must be a late-model black phone and driving his black Porsche 911.
No putting-out-the-garbage-in-my-bathrobe photos for "Trevety-trev-trev," as Meghan used to call him.
And he was remarkably calm for a man supposedly caught by surprise. "You have a good day," he told the photographer.
Here come the ghosts
What is Trevor doing back in the Sussex story? Was he paid to go away or being paid on a regular basis to be quiet, and now feels the deal is off?
Is this public appearance a clue to interested parties that he is ready to sell his story at the right price?

Let's not forget that the Trev trade-in wasn't for Harry .. it was for her great new career as the next Angie Harmon. Or at least, the next Ally McBeal. When Suits failed to catapult her to the A-list, she took up with Corey, also a bright, successful handsome well-dressed and talented/influential man with lots of friends and his own business empire. This is who she traded in for the arrogant dimwit with the frat boy fashion sense.
My goodwill toward Harry is running low these days but Meg had a very active hand in his present deterioration. Yes, he looked good. Pretty hyped up. I noted that when he entered the hall, heads on both sides bowed in deference as he passed. I thought, "That won't be happening where you're going, mate--best get used to it." But of course, such deference is one of the aspects of his hated life that makes it existing, not thriving.

The high school pregnancy speculation is out there, but I think it would be hard to hide something like that with her family under scrutiny like they are. She would have had to leave her Catholic girls' high school for a time, depending on when she gave birth, if she did. We have seen several photos of her glammed up for high school dances. I think there's a graduation photo for high school . .not college. If she bulked up suddenly then 'went away' for a semester, or if she was at Tom's house while pregnant . .seems like somebody would have talked about THAT when Meg suddenly got so famous.
I discount those rumors as juicy wishful thinking. Meg was already very ambitious for herself by high school and already very versed in exploiting her looks. I think she would have not had the baby, if she were ever pregnant then. She was very unwilling to have a baby with Trevor and they were married and he had plenty of money to support her.
If Meg was pregnant once, twice or more pre-'Archie', I think she'd have sought the same solution to her 'problem' each time. So if she ever was pregnant, it never went far enough along for her to know firsthand what being out of the first trimester felt like. She probably gleaned all her notions from TV.
This is an appropriate time to mention that I work in a library and just a few minutes ago passed our book sale shelves where someone has donated a stack of People Magazines featuring "Meghan's Baby Joy!: It's a Boy!" and the one with her in the red and purple ensemble grinning maniacally and belly clutching.

1. Meghan is not going back to the UK. In the future, you may see her turning up for some event involving Archie (who will end up living with Harry most of the time). The BRF have wised up so they know this.
2. The part-time royal demand is for Harry because he wants to maintain that link. This complicates the deal, but the BRF want this because they want to leave the door wide open for him.
3. Frogmore is being shut down. (Probably someone in the extended royal family will rent it, and the furniture that Megsy wants will be shipped to her new home.) Harry will probably stay in an apartment in BP when he is in the UK (which will be frequently) and he will have a skeleton staff at BP.
4. Meghan and Harry will relocate to LA. She probably always knew that staying in Canada would be problematic, unless they got some kind of official position in that country. She said North America and everyone, including the BRF, translated it as Canada. Maybe for a while she thought she could establish herself as a big fish in a small pond in Canada, but if she does stay there she will alienate the few friends she still has in that country.
5. The delay in sorting out all the financial issues (all over the media today) is not what Meghan wants, but I think she will stick it out for as long as she needs to in order to get herself in a position for a favourable divorce settlement in California. She really is spinning for a mansion in the best part of LA (or maybe she is ok with counting on freebies for the rest of her life, as she has done all her life so far), a guaranteed income, plus all her other demands. She may just ignore the palace and embark on her new commercial life for global fame and immense wealth. If she does, she may just find herself in legal trouble.
6. Rumours of a separation will start circulating in the next few months but will be dismissed and their marriage will be fiercely defended (he has to be in the UK to fulfil obligations, her new life is in LA, they have quality time when they are together ... maybe even some pap shots of them having a romantic dinner and her hanging onto him with that put on laugh or look of adoration. When the announcement of the legal separation comes, they will have stared divorce negotiations. Harry is going to feel a lot of shame about this so he wants to hide the truth for as long as possible; Meghan will hold onto Harry for as long as she thinks that she can get a better deal. Sounds cynical, doesn't it?

Someone on this blog left a recent post about how one of those relationships (I think with the older guy) may have led to her yachting. The other man I believe was in the military and assigned as a guard.

I think your scenario sounds extremely plausible rather than cynical. We know that Megs will want to hold out as long as possible to take advantage of the "Royal" angle as long as she can and that Harry will feel shame about the divorce, especially due to Charles and Diana.
He would be better off to jettison her now. It's doomed. She doesn't give two hoots about him and/or Archie. Who, I am not convinced actually exists as their child.

Someone I know who is connected to the both the royal family and celebrity circles (I only recently met this person) told me that as of December, the family was aware that Meghan and Harry were planning to leave. It's possible they weren't aware of how everything would go down, but it wasn't news that they intended to withdraw from royal life. Was able to confirm (without even asking) that Meghan and Kate never got along; this person didn't know anything regarding the pregnancy being real or fake. My source also told me that Meghan is a total phony and the general feeling within Hollywood circles is that she has her sights set on being a movie star. That was REALLY surprising to me -- I just assumed she wanted to make a crazy ton of money as an "influencer."

My guess is that while M may have had some grandiose ideas, she was never all that sure about entering foreign service. Sure seems to me if that was her true career goal, she wouldn't have majored in Theater. PoliSci would have made more sense. And her International Relations major isn't a stand-alone major at NW. It's an add-on major any student can do as long as he/she has another major. In other words, no one can graduate from NW with only a major in International Relations.
The PRAXIS for teachers can cause some students problems. While the specific teaching area content test is taken later, the core/general knowledge/skills part is usually taken sophomore year for entry into a Teacher Ed program. So I don't know if that's more difficult than the FSOT which covers econ, world geography, world history, US govt/civics, math, psychology, cultural issues.... But any standardized knowledge test requires prep! And I can see easily M not doing enough of that.

Or is Harry going to throw a lot of money at it (own production company) to give her what she wants? And then she has to hustle to get the nominations for awards (if she can get a distributor to take the movie on)?

Will and Kate were criticized about the KP expenditures covered by the taxpayer (especially when they didn't live there but immediately decamped fulltime to Anmer Hall.) Anyway Charles kicked in a bit then too for the addition of a "family" kitchen as well as other stuff. (Remember the moniker "Two Kitchens Kate?")
And Anmer Hall.... remember the squawking when the Cambridges had that "gourmet" kitchen torn out? Think those renovations were covered by Charles too. Then there was moving the tennis court...probably Bank of Dad then too.

Thanks for the reply. First of all, MM gave those charities very little notice she was coming yet the artist was quick to decide to gift and pick up from the gallery one of her 18K pendants.
The comments on the DM article are very interesting. They are asking questions about her being allowed to accept such an expensive gift, and the merching issue. Also they are saying that the pendant got marked up from 1590 to 2160!
The Queen is never going to be able to stop MM from doing whatever she wants. And MM being the despicable person she is will flaunt it in her face. They should just release an avalanche of dirt on her.

You are exactly right. The Anmer Hall renovation was a big deal and the Cambridges looked bad. Think they took some farmer's land for the tennis court relocation too. Or maybe that was to move the driveway.
Not saying H&M didn't do really bone-headed things too prior to this latest stuff. They did. But honestly the press has been pretty even-handed in reporting the Cambridges and the Sussexes **when the events happened** It's just easy to forget today W&K have had bad press when the focus is on H&M.

Completely agree. Look how she's behaved this week when even the preliminary announcement of the transitional arrangements is still pending. 'Loose cannon' doesn't begin to describe it. I don't care what effect it has on Harry. Keeping the door open for him isn't as important as preserving what the BRF represents, or perhaps its very existence in the longer term.
Yes they've had rocky times in the past, such as the surge in republicanism (British sense) due to Queen Victoria's prolonged withdrawal from public life, but modern communications make things far more volatile and possibly irreversible, if left to fester too long.

I have a sneaking suspicion in my trusty gut that Meg May have been asked to leave the Drama department Due to failing to meet their minimum standard of achievement to remain in the program. Perhaps the fact that her now cast off father, Who is paying the bills is an Emmy winning lighting director in Hollywood might have graced her admission into the program. I would expect that degree at such a competitive school as northwestern to come with an audition requirement for entry. Is there any proof out there that Meg was involved in theater prior to going to Northwestern, either school plays or community productions? If northwestern is proud to claim her as an alumna, There must be several yearbooks with pictures of her in school productions. None of her sorority sisters in which she was so popular allegedly they made her membership chairman are on record as Reminiscing about Meg doing shows at school. If she was allowed to remain in the program, her grades must have been abysmal based on the acting talent we have seen from her as an adult. If Meghan loved Harry and wanted to stay, there were plenty of family members, courtiers and ex-courtiers (and her husband) who could help her to see stuff in context, and plenty of people to give her advice on how to just keep going, which criticism to take note of and which to ignore, which stories to respond to and which to ignore. @SwampWoman Agree on all fronts about the awful nonstop Hollywood remakes. The remakes have a lot to do with how risk averse HW has become because of crazy production costs and the extremely complicated financing methods they employ nowadays. A good book on the subject is the Hollywood Economist. I have been obsessed with classic films since pre-school and I am basically ruined for most movies today.

I doubt Kate has an ED. Kate is medium frame, shy of 5’9”, and I would guess weighs ~58 kgs. Her torso tends to stay lean and she gains weight first in her face, arms, and legs. In terms of BMI, she is technically considered “normal.” That’s not to say BMI isn’t a problematic standard but malnutrition from EDs have telltale signs. Kate could be very good at hiding them but the fact that her weight has stayed pretty consistent over the years makes me think otherwise.
I am a little taller than Kate and about the same size. I lost the same kind of weight she did by going keto and going heavy on the cardio. She runs and is allegedly on the low-carb Dukan diet. Being her size is possible the healthy route but we will never know. She is probably very strict though and would probably have more carbs if cameras weren’t always on her. Meg is the one that I see signs of an ED. I hope not but I can’t help my suspicions.

I agree. I do not believe Kate is anorexic - check out her sailing legs. She is built that way. Look at her bone structure. See how narrow her hips are. No one can suck in their hip bones, and God knows, I've tried. You cannot suck them in. Kate is also not the bony, thin, unhealthy look of anorexia/bulimia, though I'm sure Rach loves the thought that she's spreading hurtful gossip and some are buying it. My guess is that while M may have had some grandiose ideas, she was never all that sure about entering foreign service. Sure seems to me if that was her true career goal, she wouldn't have majored in Theater. PoliSci would have made more sense. And her International Relations major isn't a stand-alone major at NW. It's an add-on major any student can do as long as he/she has another major. In other words, no one can graduate from NW with only a major in International Relations.

In forensic psychology there is aterm commonly called “upward social comparison” simply put, a individual has certqain expectations based on upbringing and lifetime activities. If you are used to a certain lifestyle, your mental gratification has to match that level and the same “excitement” that others may experience at different events won’t effect everyone in the same way for the above reason so actions has to be undertaken to exceed those expectations to get that mental payback. In her case, she achieves that gratification and her excitement brain centres get triggered by just not achieving something but showing others how she is "better".
Couple of examples just from what I have read:
1) When she got her suits role, she held a clothing party with friends when she gave away her old wardrobe. Some may consider this to be giving - I see it has grandstanding and showing "I am now better then you so you can have my old clothes.
2) Her wedding invites were mainly to "celebrities" that she likely didn't know at all - not so she can bask inter famous but show others she has "famous" friends who will travel just for her.
3) her weird jealousy of Kate - Kate is superior in status, connections, looks, fortune and her close relationship with the royal family and especially Harry.
4) This separation from the royal family and her mood since is the ultimate "look what I have done".
There are more but I have to finish a paper on money laundering (exciting know). One of the first lessons I learnt in training is to not analyse a methodology based on what *I* would consider reasonable or/and fair, but on the actions. That was a major wakeup call for me as I realised just how much my own perspectives and bias was influencing my analysis. So I may be off base but this is how I see it :)
If I am right the big huge problem is these personalities will have to constantly aim higher to continue to get the buzz - sort of like a drug addict needs to take more to get a baseline - never mind high as the body forms a tolerance. My concern is where will this end? I have no idea but I have a feeling Archie will be a part of that - I hope not though.

I agree with you re putting our own expectations aside. That is why so many of the fraudsters are unbelievably rich people with access to plenty, highest levels of the organization or their industry, and it's overlooked because "why would they do that when they already have some much". It seems nonsensical because it is - relatively. But they do it because nothing is never enough.
Anyway, go you. I'm trying to find a way back into the overlap between legal and financial in AML investigations. That's a little more fun than what I'm doing now, but live/learn, right?

Sandie - good points - professional help only really works if 1) someone accepts they need it and 2) they know what the problem is to approach the right treatment. As someone with anxiety I find it insulting when people use it as a crutch to explain why they are idiots.
It is amazing how many people who have plenty of money gets nabbed for shoplifting or thefts of other kinds - it isn’t about tithe money or items - it is the brain craving excitement/attention/distraction from something going on in life. I have not been in town and thus do not know if anybody has brought up the subject that Meghan is not a British citizen. Her title Duchess of Sussex is thus not official, and she cannot be a HRH. She is an American, FGS, and never was a royal. Of course, she can call herself anything she wants. She can officially petition an American court to change her name to Duchess of Sussex. Americans can change their names to whatever they want, as long as it is judged not to be horrifically awful, such as Adolf Hitler (although they can be named anything their parent(s) initially put on their birth certificate.) Any changes to a birth name must go through the court system. It is a hassle to change a maiden name to a married name today, too, and many women just do not want to go through the bureaucracy until they have children.
Harry was born HRH Prince Henry, and will be the son, brother and uncle of Kings. He cannot be stripped of what rightfully is his status and name from birth. However, he can easily have the silly Sussex name taken away, which was a marriage “gift” from the Queen. It would be a terrible decision to even try to take HRH from Harry, and would turn into a horrible backlash. Nobody but a few Americans care about Meghan, except to gossip about her incredible stupid words and actions. She is Daily Mail)s bread and butter. American tv, especially the stupid Today Show hosts, and other dwindling old media, have different hosts saying Meghan is great because she is American and partially black, and others actually think that Meghan is English, and Harry is second in line to be king after William dies, or will be king if the Queen pucks Harry. Stupid is as stupid does.
I agree, especially when you look at her legs. Anorexic women usually have toothpick legs that look like they couldn’t support more than 50 pounds. Kate’s legs look strong and toned. She’s certainly very, very thin, but I think she looks healthy.

@Sandie and Ozmanda: Of the all the recognized personality disorders, people with narcissistic personality disorder rarely seek professional help. Their disorder gets in the way because basically, they think the whole world is wrong and they’re right. It’s much easier to play victim.
Even if she ends up living in a used trailer on the outskirts of Barstow, Meghan would likely never be able to admit to herself that she might be the reason she had so many problems in the RF and why so many people in the public dislike her. Narcissists are inveterate liars, and the first person they lie to every day looks right back at them from the bathroom mirror.
Perhaps they could work out how much was spent on the necessary restoration work the building needed to bring it to code and charge them for everything else. The building needed basic work whether the Harkles moved in or not, but a substantial amount was spent on converting the cottage from multi-units into a one-family home. What are they going to do with it now? The article talks about the Harkles having to pay rent on it but I doubt MM will be back in the UK. The need for staff housing is also brought up. Will they have to turn it into multi-unit dwellings again? The Harkles sure have created an all-around mess.

Frogmore Cottage could prompt a row over the “opaque” world of royal rents when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex become financially independent.
Having cited their desire to make their own money and retire from official duties, the couple would be expected to pay for their Windsor home, recently renovated with £2.4 million of taxpayers’ money, to avoid public criticism.
Yet the subject of what they pay could prove controversial. Royal family members with official duties are given residences free of charge, while others can live in properties as rent-paying tenants. However, there is little information available about who pays what, the list of properties that exist and how much they are worth.
The rent paid by Princess Eugenie — a “non-senior” royal who lives in Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace — is not disclosed to the public. Royal aides say that it is set with reference to commercial rents but adjusted to reflect the fact that the cottage is behind a security cordon and cannot be commercially let.
Norman Baker, a former Liberal Democrat MP who has written extensively about royal finances, said that there were “around 200” royal properties available for family members and some staff who qualify for residence. This is thought to include flats for gardeners to apartments, cottages and mansions lived in by members of the royal household.
He said that the rent system used for royal properties was “deliberately opaque”. “It is time to bring royal finances out of the 18th century and into the 21st. It’s time they were fully accountable and properly audited like any other part of the public sector,” he said.
Mr Baker suggested that it would not be enough for Harry and Meghan to pay rent. “As £2.4 million from the public purse was spent on Frogmore Cottage they should now give that back to the taxpayer,” he said.
He added: “If they are not carrying out royal duties they are not occupying it [Frogmore Cottage] to deliver a public service so the money was spent on false pretences.”
Rents from properties are considered as income in the annual sovereign grant accounts, in line with the recommendation from the public accounts committee for the royal household to maximise such income.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “There is a limited amount of accommodation in London and Windsor which can be rented by household staff who meet set criteria.”
The palace did not comment on the number of properties available to family members and their staff.

Royal protection officers guarding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are running up a bill of more than £4,000 a month on a luxury flat in Windsor, The Times understands.
The police team need a base near the couple’s Frogmore Cottage home, which cost £2.4 million to renovate.
The two-bedroom property being hired by their bodyguards, which The Times has not identified for security reasons, is described as “luxurious” on an official website and has been used by celebrities.
As apartments have a minimum booking requirement of only seven nights it means that the officers can leave at short notice to travel the world with their principals. But this flexibility and the location comes at a price.
A would-be guest who tried to book was told that rates varied depending on the time of year and was quoted “£150 a night” as a rough price. The monthly total could be “upwards of £4,000 a month”.
It comes amid rising costs for royal protection.
The expenditure on air travel for bodyguards rose from £3.47 million in 2016-17 to £4.62 million in 2018-19. The cost of hotels increased from £1.12 million in 2016-17 to more than £2 million in 2017-18 and senior officers fear that the security bill is spiralling out of control.
The budget for Met Police protection officers is expected to rise further should the Duke and Duchess of Sussex keep their taxpayer-funded security when they split their time between North America and the UK.
Discussions about their protection are continuing and the couple were this week forced to withdraw their claim that they are “internationally protected people” entitled to bodyguards.
The Metropolitan Police and Buckingham Palace both declined to comment.

Prince Harry and Meghan applied in June 2019 to trademark the "Sussex Royal" brand in the UK, for items including books, clothing, charitable fundraising, education and social-care services.
Their application was published in December 2019.
