Your wish has been granted - see my last post! This is unbelievable!

Yes she has seen all of this - she has made responses that are quoted within the articles...all the usual denials!

@Snarky - those wigs must be flying at a furious rate!

I'll be back with #3 in a few...
Let us not forget the stories where she yelled at Charlotte, reducing Kate to tears.
Where Grip yelled at a member of Kate's staff and Kate had to pull her aside and tell Grip that she (Kate) disciplines her staff, not Grip.
The "egg in this" wedding meal sampling with the Queen where Grip laid into the chef that "there was egg in this I can taste it " and there wasn't. The Queen had to tell Grip "we don't talk to the staff that way" or something like that.

The little things that got out support the bigger accusations now.

Run Oprah Run! (Because you really look stupid now)
Well, this puts paid to her "I'm a feminist," "women should help women", "be kind to each other" garbage! Thank heavens! The hypocrite has finally been exposed. How can one preach against bullying when one *is* a bully and abuser? BOOM.
Is it too much to hope for at least one thing released per day leading up to Sunday?

AND I am dancing because it is all pouring out and ruining the Oprah fest! and because the Sussex PR team screwed up again: Their rebuttal included a timeline! Bwah ha ha! A timeline! How do you backtrack tomorrow or Friday and say something never happened, while also spitting out to the world: “....that distorted several years old accusations”.

So, accusations existed, then, hmm? Your witness, counselor. Boom, she is finished. At last. People she has attacked are going to come out of the woodwork now even before the program. The door is open.

Off to reread carefully and then read the second article! 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻✨

Article #3 from Valentine Lowe and The Times

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/meghan-earrings-were-gift-from-saudi-prince-accused-of-jamal-khashoggi-murder-6q8mkpkqj

PART 1 - From The Times: The Earrings

Meghan’s earrings were gift from Saudi prince accused of murder
The duchess was seen wearing the earrings given by Mohammed bin Salman at two events in 2018

Valentine Low
Wednesday March 03 2021, 12.00am GMT, The Times

The Duchess of Sussex wore earrings given to her by Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, to a state dinner while he was being condemned over the murder of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

She told staff that the Chopard earrings she wore in Fiji had been borrowed, rather than stating that they had been a wedding gift from the prince, a source said.

The CIA said in a report released by President Biden last Friday that the prince, known as MBS, approved the 2018 murder of Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

Kensington Palace press office told the media that the chandelier earrings, which Meghan wore on the first night of their visit to Fiji, three weeks after Khashoggi’s murder, were borrowed. The press office did not say from whom they had been borrowed. The Times has been told that an aide later claimed that the duke and duchess said they had been borrowed from the jeweller Chopard.

Lawyers for the duchess said that although she may have said they were borrowed, every relevant member of staff knew who they were from. She was unaware of the rumours at the time that the crown prince was involved in the murder, they said.

A source said that staff in London responsible for registering details of all royal gifts recognised them later. They were confirmed as a wedding gift from MBS, who had lunch with the Queen during a three-day visit to London in March 2018, two months before Harry and Meghan’s wedding. The duchess wore them again to the Prince of Wales’s 70th birthday party at Buckingham Palace on November 14 that year.

There is no suggestion that the crown prince gave them to the duchess in person, or indeed has even met her.

Mohammed bin Salman said that he bears responsibility for Khashoggi’s murder “because it happened under my watch” but denied having any prior knowledge of the plot
NeutralObserver said…
@Miggy, judging by current behavior, outlets like the NYTimes & the Washington Post will NOT mention these stories, as I indicated in an earlier post. If the stories get too much attention in other outlets, these two grande dames of journalism might bestir themselves, but how they'll interpret them is another thing.
JennS said…
PART 2 (final) - From The Times: The Earrings

As a gift from a foreign head of state, the earrings are officially considered crown property. They were available for the duchess to use, but she would not have been able to sell them. Her lawyers said that if she had said they were borrowed, this was what she meant. They denied she had stated they were borrowed from a jeweller.

Before the Sussexes’ tour the Khashoggi murder was an international news story. As early as October 12, four days before the start of the tour, The Times reported that world leaders had rounded on the crown prince as suspicions grew that he had ordered the killing. On October 20, three days before the dinner in Fiji, Saudi Arabia admitted that its officials were responsible for his death.

Staff in London were concerned when they saw the earrings in the media. They alerted Kensington Palace, which decided not to take it up with the couple while they were on tour. A source said: “We made a decision not to confront Meghan and Harry on it, out of fear for what their reaction would be.”

After the duchess wore them a second time, an aide decided to confront Harry, a source said. He is said to have looked “shocked” that people knew where the earrings came from. Lawyers for the duke and duchess deny he was questioned about their provenance, which they said was well known.

Staff were surprised that she wore the earrings, given her views on women’s rights in Saudi Arabia. In October 2016, before the world knew that she was dating Harry, she took part in a One Young World summit in Ottawa, where she was photographed with the Saudi women’s rights activist Loujain al-Hathloul, one of the best-known faces of the campaign for women’s right to drive in her home country.

Meghan’s desire to champion the cause of women such as Hathloul would, royal insiders believe, make it highly unlikely that she would ever have met MBS.

Four days before Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May 2018 Hathloul was arrested and imprisoned in Saudi Arabia. Her family said she was tortured. She was released last month but her sister Lina pointed out that Hathloul was still subject to a travel ban and probation.

While the crown prince, who is the country’s deputy prime minister and day-to-day ruler, has introduced a number of reforms, he has been criticised for muzzling dissidents. Under his rule, arrests of human rights activists have risen, according to campaigners. He has said that he bears responsibility for Khashoggi’s murder “because it happened under my watch” but denied having any prior knowledge of the plot.

This should have all come out much sooner - I suppose we basically have Harry to thank for that.

They should let all the hidden info out now.
The palace staff wanted this info out now knowing she was going to blame them for her mistreatment during the O interview.
Maybe it was true that the staff did indeed want to testify and were disappointed that the trial didn't go ahead.

Where's the info about the weirdness surrounding the pregnancy and delivery?

Meghan bullying claims: It’s the courtiers who shape ‘The Firm’

Robert Lacey
Wednesday March 03 2021, 12.01am GMT, The Times

In a sense the real rulers of Britain’s palaces are not the royal family but their staff, the courtiers. It is the private secretaries, PAs and press officers who shape the melodrama surrounding “the Firm”. They are the show’s scriptwriters and directors, hence the paradoxical humility that characterises the royal family’s most successful members.

Meghan is herself a professional performer, schooled in Los Angeles where every production is built on the opposite principle: divas rule Hollywood’s sets.🤮

This inversion of the British system is evidently what Rachel Zane, the heroine of Suits, brought to London in 2017. Meghan was under pressure to perform and in turn palace staff appear to have come under pressure. We now discover that several hit back. Bullying claims are difficult to referee as there are always two sides to the story, but discretion ruled and this communication stayed out of sight, lodged with Simon Case, the Duke of Cambridge’s private secretary, and his successors.

Prince William understands the power and utility of the courtier. At the time of the crucial Sandringham summit of January 13, 2020, he turned down the Queen’s invitation to the closed luncheon she had intended as a family “chat” to talk through differences that had arisen with his brother. Instead he kept his powder dry for the negotiations that followed, when everyone had their private secretary beside them.

Boris Johnson later headhunted Case to be his cabinet secretary. Then in September the PM also made Case the youngest-ever head of the UK’s Civil Service.

Case demonstrates the steely calibre of staff who have been working behind the scenes in this era of royal rift — which brings us to the question of timing.

Not only have the bullying allegations been let slip but also the case of the Saudi earrings. A wedding gift from Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince, they were worn by Meghan in Fiji in October 2018, the month MBS’s hitmen were dismembering the journalist Jamal Khashoggi. For two years this error of jewellery choice was concealed — until this week, 12 days after the couple’s break from the system and a spat over the meaning of “public service”. Now they are outside the charmed circle, unprotected from this stinging riposte.

Robert Lacey is a biographer of the Queen

Eh, Lacey is a sniveling Netflix shoveler, no one cares. He talks about her as a Hollywood professional. No research.

She was one of a million talentless hustlers in LA, who never held an actual 9 to 5 job in her life. For money she used daddy, men, fake calligraphy, bit parts, “other work”, “event work” with Paula Trickey, and two husbands. She got lucky with her part time role in Suits, a place to live from the studio, and whatever arrangements Markus dug up for her. Maybe “business” for Doria too? Courier?

She “babysat” in college. No real work ever in her life, just partying and unsavory games.

She had no idea how to work in a professional office setting. Neither of her parents worked in one. In South America she spent two weeks before disappearing to Spain with a gentleman. I suppose she thought the palace was just another chance to bully people like the mean high school girl she is stuck at developmentally. She possibly has a mental illness, has no ethics and a temper like a thug.

Lacey can toot out lies and excuses for Netflix, but people know a b***h when they see one.

From the Times

Robert Crampton
Wednesday March 03 2021, 12.01am GMT, The Times

Was Meghan miscast?

I don’t know about you, but I’m counting down the days before we can all, finally, be put out of our misery. Not long to go now. Yup, in just five days, and nights, we’ll find out what Meghan said to Oprah. Was she silent, or silenced?

In my opinion the problem isn’t press intrusion or Meghan’s supposed high-maintenance personality, or the couple’s irritating implication that they have a monopoly on duty and compassion. It’s not even Harry’s anger about what happened to his mum.
The problem is the nature of the institution into which Harry was born. It is a rule-bound organisation first and a family second. It’s no accident that insiders call it The Firm.

Moreover, this is a very odd, very top-down operation. As Peter Morgan has the Duke of Edinburgh tell Princess Diana in The Crown, only one member (or arguably two, if you include the heir) of this family actually counts. The rest of them are ornamental. We don’t sing God Save the Royal Family, do we? In this movie only one star has her name above the title. The rest get a mention in the end credits.

I don’t think Meghan grasped her new position. Or rather, she did, but a little too late. When, for instance, Meghan was told about having to curtsy to her grandmother-in-law, and how William and Kate outranked her, it seems she pushed back. And the court in turn pushed back hard.

As for Harry, his hatred of the press is blinding him to reason. He told James Corden, bizarrely, that he was comfortable with The Crown. That’s despite the fact that in the last series most of his older relatives were portrayed as fairly abominable human beings. He reckons The Crown is OK because it’s fiction and because, well, it’s not the papers. I know some titles have been rude, but most of the media is actually embarrassingly craven towards the royal family.

I think Meghan, smart woman that she is, realised she’d signed up for a lifetime’s bit part in someone else’s drama, and baled.

I wrote earlier about how I would never forgive the pair of them and would always associate them with anything that might happen to PP anytime soon so I can just imagine how Her Maj feels.

Reading all this new info also makes me realize just how weird it was of Harry to go along with all of MM's antics. It sounds like she was extremely vile to her staff.

Now, I remember Nutty once saying that one way Woke Meghan could fall would be if it was proven that she behaved in a racist manner herself. Her aid Melissa Toubli (sp?) is Middle Eastern. I wonder if anything MM did or said was disrespectful of MT's ethnicity?

We always knew that something major happened due to her short stint with Megalo and because the palace put out a positive statement about her when she left:

‘Melissa is a hugely talented person,’ the source says. ‘She played a pivotal role in the success of the Royal Wedding and will be missed by everyone in the Royal Household.’

Praying this will lead to someone dishing the dirt on "Archie." This whole dirty saga was planned by her before she walked down the aisle. All the Photoshopping, the mendacity, the copying of Diana's everything, the cruelty to both families. What is WRONG with Harry? He must hold HMTQ and PP responsible for Diana's death. Go BP!

Regarding Charles vs William handling the Markles .... I think it must be William because it looks like Charles is doing his own celebrity hangouts:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/prince-charles-will-share-a-curry-with-katy-perry-for-this-special-reason/ar-BB1e9ksC

I think Charles has indulged the "merchants of oat glop" and allowed all sorts of bad behavior under the misguided idea that it would help with Charles' popularity with the youth demographic. At least William leaked his displeasure about how Harry was treating the Queen.

Meanwhile, Charles quietly took away their postage stamps, but was probably forced to by BP. I think he would like to have them back. Luckily for the UK, the Markles have dug themselves a very deep hole.

Will Harry actually show up for the Diana statue unveiling? Would Brits actually boo him in front of a Diana tribute?
JennS said…
Found an interesting tweet from Valentine Lowe Times author of all of today's Kraken articles.

It seems someone was referring to his stories as the "PALACE" hitting back instead of the "royal aides" hitting back and he replies:

valentinelow
@valentinelow
I am not sure this is quite right. It is not the palace hitting back. The palace is in fact very concerned about the allegations, because they do not reflect well on them.

He also stated that no one was paid for the info in his articles.

The bullying stories includes a private secretary, communications secretary and personal assistants.
Does anyone know the difference between the royal aides and the 'palace'? Would the palace mean the royal family itself or perhaps upper-level employees?

I don't know if people would boo. But I'm also not sure how many "ordinary people" will be allowed to attend the statue's unveiling. I doubt COVID will be in the rearview mirror by summer, unfortunately. And while I don't know exactly where the statue will be placed in the Palace's Sunken Garden, I can't imagine that large crowds will be allowed to gather in the immediate vicinity out of everyday security concerns.

Rache seems to have been really desperate for jewels while in the Firm. Those stories about Charles refusing to let her wear a tiara on the Australia tour sound even more credible now.

Wow! Thanks @JennS for posting the Times articles.

Now, I'm really curious to see what the H&M-Oprah interview is going to reveal. BRF must be really worried about what the Sussexes are going to say.

I think it's looking more and more like H&M are planning to blame staff on-air for their problems instead of actual family members. Likely, they are spinning it as the people who run the show are faulty, out of touch, and they are the reason for family conflicts and their emotional turmoil.

However the Sussexes are really stupid if they throw staff under the bus. They are undermining the BRF's judgment, protocols, and their ability to keep the Firm running with highly qualified, loyal, and discreet staff.
Thank you WBBW. I think the cops are well gone!

AnT said…
@JennS,

My understanding was always that a royal aide was an executive assistant or secretary to someone of a high rank in the Palace or its adjacencies — so there would be those assigned to the individual royals and their offices, as well as those directly assigned to higher ups in various palace departments, or the facets of the palace, be it Royal Collections Trust, or communications, or even events planning etc. each member of the senior royal family would have a few royal aides, I think. I am trying to remember because someone I worked with in London has a brother who she introduced as a royal aide who joined us after work once for drinks and he explained a basic outline of some of it to me, but gah, I am struggling to recall. He had something o do with advance planning.

Unknown said…
So, per the Sussexes, the entire British press and Royal staff are to be blamed for their problems. So the entire system that keeps the Firm alive is wrong. Yeah, I'm sure Wills was the one to okay the release of all this Kraken. Things have been shifting in the palace and it looks like Wills has his hand in running the show a lot more.
Unknown said…
The Sussexes have shown their cards about putting the British press under the bus and I expect the 'same ole same ole' in their Oprah interview. This quote from the Times tells me the Sussexes are planning to also throw staff under the bus on air.

"The couple’s lawyers told The Times that this newspaper is “being used by Buckingham Palace to peddle a wholly false narrative” before the interview."

Who do they mean by "Buckingham Palace"? The Queen, the entire Royal family, or is it staff?

That was a stupid statement by the Sussexes' lawyers to make.

This woman causes so much unnecessary drama which makes her very disliked. I wonder if the palace releasing this information is in response to ITV reporting that the Sussexes will talk about racism MM faced?
Yes, Animal Lover, it's to discredit her in advance - far better than trying to do it after the event.

I hope you don't mind me using this simile (and I love horses!) it's like shooting her horse from under her as she get ready to charge. No point in trying to take pot shots at her once she's trampled you down and is galloping away in a cloud of dust - or dancing on your corpse.

It also has the advantage of giving Oprah pause for thought - she can't very well ignore what's been said but if she has to include it, she'll have to rethink her plans. Will she postpone and re do it? Go ahead with a new interview and do it off the cuff and show us an outraged Meghan? Cancel altogether?

If she runs it as it is, she risks looking very silly, especially if more is revealed before the event.

Royal aides, shrieking “free, free at last, this one’s for our old mate Phil, so bite me, Peg, you mammoth barmy cow b****!” flooded the road tonight near Kensington Palace, waving signs, hugging each other, drinking Champagne splits and waving at honking cars.

The sources approached Nutty Flavor Times saying they wanted to tell their side before their former boss plasters the Palace and Royal Family this Sunday and Monday in a now 14 hour interview with Oprah Winfrey, They say the Duchess faced bullying complaints from her closest advisors, and aides, and members of the food services, IT, communications, cleaning, gardening, tiara, and nest removal teams.

A complaint filed in 2018 was submitted to protect staff. Said the senior staff member who filed the report, “Oh, it was everything wasn’t it? Meg terrified at least two young women and completely broke a third. It started with name calling, eye-poking and shoe shaming, but quickly escalated to lunch tray flipping, hair pulling, pinching, kicking, throwing girls down the steps “because Diana did” and finally she stole one’s wedding rings, and forced the other girl to write a mean letter to the girl’s ailing father. I stepped in when I heard Peg had sold one woman’s teen daughter to Soho House and locked Angela Kelley in a linen pantry with a live bat. Peg merely laughed, then called my girlfriend right to say I was dating Rose Hanbury.I tried to talk to Harry but he started crying and said “don’t let her hit me!” Well, then we found the Junior Assistant tied to a tree in the rain, with yet another of her aides buried to her neck in the garden nearby. That young lady ended up quitting. I filed the complaint, but was told the RF wanted us to make it go away, even though Megs had just cut the brakes on Camilla’s car, sent a box of dead birds to the Catherine, got into a knife fight with Philip, and tried to superglue the Queen into her bed chamber. It was a bit of a challenge. But nothing was done.”

Outside Kensington, one jubilant young woman said about Meg, “Yah, I quit three weeks in. For me it started when that daft old tart yelled at me every morning. Then the next week old Peg began to call my mum everyday and tell her I was dead. When I told her to please stop, she told me she was not in England to make friends, The third week she told me to drown Harry, and drown Camilla, and bring Prince Charles naked to her office with a whip. I said no, she screamed, I quit. I think someone ought to know these things, IOprah never asked any of us anything. Megs is mad as a snake. Made us scrub her dentures too!”

“Well it was the whole fake kid and fake bumps thing for me, wasn’t it?” exclaimed another former aide. “We knew she wasn’t pregnant because we felt sure she is a 50 year old man, But also she made us wash her fake bumps! Then she began stealing little babies, in the food market didn’t she, saying the two she ordered might be ugly so she wanted backups. She wanted us to take care of them in our offices til May, we said no! I quit when she threw a desk on top of me, fracturing my spine. All I could see from the floor were Peg’s dirty big suede engagement shoes kicking my purse to make my money fall out, so yah, I never went back after hospital.”

A spokeswoman for the Excesses says they are victims of a smear campaigns. “I was not there to molly coddle those ignorant British girls. I was there to harm them for my pleasure, and send a warning to Haz and his grandparents that said ‘See this, old people? See the terror? You’re next! Give me all the money!’ That was the job I was there to do.”

Btw - the Wallis photo has reminded about the colour her parting. Is it a wig base or her scalp? I've had a look at images of bald mixed-race chaps and there's no difference between colour of scalp, face, neck and so on.

In my dreams, O asks `Why is it, Wallis, I mean Megsie Baby, that your scalp is pure white? Have you been having us on?'

Thanks for the dedicated conservation California Condors are making a comeback. I wonder if in gratitude for their conservation work the birds did a flyover over in tribute. I think the Condors gave their version of you do shit, you get shit. Oh yeah, they are big birds.

When Price Phillip said Cabbage it's time. Cabbage asked how high? Down the line like a machine gun. Queen called Will. Will assembled the team. He gave the group of Krakens. Will is ready to handle the Krakens. Charles is summoned to PP bedside.

PP tells PC we are dealing this now. The Queen plays the long game. She knows how PC is regarding Haz. PC will be king. Only PW has been schooled by the Queen for his whole life. He has been schooled by the best. Will has grown closer to his father. He will be assisting PC in the duties with wisdom, listens to gray suits and the Queen gave him his own Krakens to use in regarding his once known as prince brother.

You don't put out on ad's you have plans to nuke the BP and Monarchy in advance. Unless you want to fail, I don't think on this they wanted to fail. It's been mentioned here how she's stuck in 90's and Oprah is her announcement they have arrived. So they thought this would be trumpets blaring as if they're on top of invites of the A list. They're still playing the same micro violin. Haz knew the family kept Krakens, he just was stupid to think they would not use them on him.

I sure PP will not under any circumstances allow those two be allowed at his funeral. PC will be overruled and have no choice. Will is taking over Haz issues. I doubt M16 has those two tweets in the country again. Don't they keep a list that her sister as put on? I can see a kraken adding two new names.

@JennS: Thank you again for taking your time to copy the bullying article from The Times.

I believe I have at least two, possibly three accounts of Meghan’s bullying in her younger days. One account is from the sister of a girl who was targeted by Meghan in high school. The other two are from her college sorority days at Northwestern. I think have copies of the three accounts, but will have to search to see if I can find them. They are not at all flattering and dovetail into the reports of Meghan’s alleged behavior reports of bullying palace staffers.

It might take a few days for me to locate these reports. I’m buried at work right now.

Deer -that's brilliant - condor shit!

I wonder if PP will get his wish for a modest funeral?

Should he depart this life in the near future, a grand funeral would surely be out of the question; crowds are a no-no, quarantine regs could `imprison' H if he landed here. (I imagine if H did come to say goodbye, it'd finish Grandpa off completely - so yes, I think that's the Sharkles again.)

It could be like Bea's wedding, very private, not reported until afterwards, perhaps not even in St Georges. It'd avoid anything unseemly - perhaps the only outward sign would be a piper in the outer precincts of the Castle, playing a lament.

The RF when meeting Meghan Markle quickly assessed that Markle was Hell on Wheels. They did their best to minimize her impact on William and his family. It's unfortunate that very well respected employees had to say good bye due to Markle's bullying. Bullying is a very polite way to say that Markle was one nasty biatch, of the likes no one had encountered in their lifetime at BP. Harry begging people to forget how Markle treated people? Well now we know he's just as complicit as the Devil herself. Yeah, Markle is the devil.

@JennS

Thankyou for your kind words.

You ask me - if I understand you correctly - how it is that Markle can disregard court orders and yet obtain summary judgement. Court actions can as can be seen from Harkle -v- MoS be expensive. Most litigants do not have money to waste and therefore Defendants can place a financial burden on Plaintiffs by litigating until the cows come home and also of course in the process waste a lot of valuable court time (Courts waste so much anyway from unavoidable happenings - most of the time in court one is sitting waiting around to come on, if one ever does). As a result the concept of the Summary Judgement was introduced where a Plaintiff can say to the Court that the Defence case is so obviously bad and without merit that the trial and all the interlocutory steps should be disposed of and judgement give right now for the Plaintiff. Usually and I do not think I have ever seen it delayed this takes place as soon as a defence has been filed - equally failure to file a defence can be used to obtain judgement. The matter being clear-cut two or three days of court time are not taken up in hearing how straight forward the case is and how the Defendant has no defence - after all what we are looking for is Summary Judgement not a trial! The Harkles however did not do this and only woke up (no pun intended) to the efficacy of a Summary Judgement very late on and as you rightly say after having failed to comply in what looks to me like contempt of court with certain orders. The point is this: the failure to comply with the Court's orders and the right to apply for Summary Judgement are unrelated to each other. The one does not depend upon the other.

May I also add tangentially (especially for Americans) that I have recently on the Youtube been watching scenes from American Courtrooms (no television of court proceedings in England or Wales) and I have been rather shocked. In one case a black man sentenced to two consecutive terms of eleven years imprisonment was following an outburst at his sentence awarded an extra six years prison for that outburst as the white Judge ruled it contempt of court. In England being rude or crying out (oh so common) is NOT contempt of court - neither do Judges get to alter their sentence - the Judge said the outburst contradicted the Defendant's alleged remorse [what the !?!?!/] - when they see the unhappiness and disapproval thereto of the Defendant.

The earrings given to Mega by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia were a 'personal gift'. The Crown has a gift policy. In addition, members of the BRF need to be careful when accepting gifts.

'Gifts are classed as personal when they are:

• given by public bodies, businesses or private individuals with whom the Member of The
Royal Family has an established relationship, such as Warrant Holders, on the occasion of a
marriage, birth, birthday or other notable personal occasion (including Christmas), and where
the value of the gift is less than £150 (if a gift is given where there is no established
relationship, other than on a notable personal occasion or is over £150 in value, the gift
should be classified as official
).
.....
An official gift is not the personal property of a Member of The Royal Family (even if used)
and is therefore not liable to taxation provided that its acceptance, retention and disposal are
carried out in accordance with the guidelines and procedures set out above.'

https://royal.uk (pdf file)

This means that the earrings are not Megalo's personal property (I assume they're over £150!) and therefore she can't keep them/flog them. @Acquitaine and Opus, I think I have interpreted the document correctly but feel free to correct me.

My bet is at 85% that our amazing Megsy still has these earrings. Remember that this all took place back when M/H were in better graces with the BRF. Back when Harry would throw a fit (a fake one in my book) when "what Meghan wants, Meghan gets" was not happening. The BRF/Grey Men thinking was that being accused of racism was not worth it. So, William released the kraken? Of course he did, with the Queen and Charles being informed and giving their approval.

My guess is that Oprah and Gayle are fully committed to the Harkles and their lies and will defend, blame, attack ... repeat.

Timing?

Harry pushes for early finalization of Megxit. He negotiates with the Queen while Meghan feeds the media with PR pushing for some version of the half in half out deal she wanted and that she sold to Harry.

BP gets told about the Oprah interview. The Queen always knew what she was going to do and why. She presses the go button.

With approval and agreement from the Queen and Charles, William releases the kraken through aides.

What the Sussexes do not understand is that it is not personal. It is the duty of the monarch to serve the UK and the Commonwealth. The Sussexes abused and through Oprah are launching a full attack on the monarchy and the UK (accusations of racism, etc.).

Here is an excerpt, and it is genuine.

"March 2019: I was fortunate to be given an invitation to attend the house-warming party at Harry and Meghan’s newly refurbished home, Frogmore Cottage. I was already familiar with the place as a result of a brief dalliance with the wife of one of the house’s previous occupants. It was sad to see that the rustic charm had been replaced, at a cost to the taxpayer of nearly £3million, by decor that was a cross between The Great Gatsby and Teletubbieland. On several of the walls hung large photographs of great Hollywood actresses including Monroe, Hayworth, Russell, Garbo and of course the lovely Meghan herself."

I wonder if the press is working together to expose and handle the Sussexes - something the Royal Family seemed unable/unwilling to do even while she tortured palace staff employed by the Firm...only one of her many misdeeds.

A monstrous woman found the perfect place to land - in a family that is protected from the law and the media.
But it may just be the concerted joint efforts of the various news outlets that bring her down along with a long-awaited nod from the RF.

This article below from the DM makes a point out of Meghan accusing Buckingham Palace of deliberately 'smearing' her and orchestrating a campaign against her. Ironically they did not do enough about her. Regardless, I'm hoping headlines like this will push the palace/firm to take Harry out of the line of succession and remove their titles. These are serious accusations and they are false. It's the least the RF should do after this latest development.

What strikes me as quite odd, is that there has been no leak of mobile phone footage, voice recordings, or any other digital evidence of M's behaviour.

You would have to think such evidence exists. If you were an employee, relatively powerless, and were not being protected by your employer, wouldn't you be tempted to record the alleged incidents of bullying? This would mean (i) you could prove to yourself later that you weren't actually imagining it or overblowing it, the incident happened just as you remembered. (ii) That should the episodes continue, you would have a record of just how often it had happened, and prove that it was an ongoing course of conduct, not just one-off. And (iii) should M decide to turn the tables on you and accuse you of actually bullying her (instead of the other way around) you could actually protect yourself against those allegations and prove you were the victim, not her.

I have a strong feeling that if there is such footage (and really, there has to be), it will appear in the next few days.

KARMA! thank you The Times and thank you JennS for posting these articles and for offering to take one for the team with the Oprah whinefest.

I wish Lacey would stop referring to the Palace Staff as 'courtiers', he makes these very professional employees sound like the Seymour and the Boleyn families scheming away to influence the Monarch.

I think the Kraken has been released because of that meeting of Prince Charles with Prince Philip - he is not standing for his family to be dragged through the mud courtesy of the odious duo and he wants to highlight how much the family and their staff bent over for the couple by releasing all the stuff that had been suppressed by the Palace into Meghan and Harry's appalling treatment of staff, how Meghan can continue to claim she's been bullied is beyond me. Bring it on I say! Next up the bumps/surrogate/plastic non-existent Archie

Obviously the Oprah show will be throwing these courtiers under the bus along with the 'bullying & toxic' British tabloids/media and the 'racist'

Us Brits never made poor orphan Meghan welcome despite 11.5 million Brits watching their marriage on the telly on the same day as a televised Football FA Cup Final (Manchester United v Chelsea - two of the biggest teams in the UK if not the world).

Clearly we all missed those crowds of white racists all lining the route of their carriage ride ready to hurl the tomatoes at the poor bullied victim Megs, how did ITV and the BBC manage to disguise all those boos from the crowds in their coverage of the Wedding and the carriage ride lined with plebs?...

As for Harry stating a few months back that London isn't really that diverse, surely he can remember his 2nd official public engagement in Brixton with Meghan before they got married. The engagement was deemed to be a success for the couple and was lauded on the BBC news that night, obviously Harry noted the ethnicity of the crowds and the people he met.

I live in the area, it's very multicultural and we have many nationalities, and like Meghan herself we also have many who are mixed race which shows to me that we are not just existing and 'sticking to our own' like Harry suggested. I'm not saying that there isn't racism about but I have never seen any of it directed towards Meghan or to Harry for marrying her.

Just like his other statement of 'being unable to buy black dolls or non-white dolls' he obviously he was playing the race card as their excuse for leaving. Apart from being utterly stupid why does he think people will buy this nonsense?

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/prince-harry-and-meghan-markle-greeted-by-excited-crowds-during-royal-visit-to-brixton-radio-station-a3735836.html

The Sussexes really are a mess. They are accusing BP of a smear campaign. But, as all media are pointing out, KP and CH protected Meghan and Harry and the story does make them look bad for not acting decisively against repeated abuse of staff.

Bad behaviour from royals has always been treated in two ways: a word from the Queen (happened at WC when Meghan was rude to catering staff); moving staff or letting them go with a generous severance package and assistance in finding a fabulous job elsewhere (also happened with some leaving and then returning and others being offered positions elsewhere in the establishment).

Does Harry realize that he is out for good and it is just going to get worse? How can he have been with Meghan for how many years now and not realized that she is a liar, an abusive bully, a rude and self-centred hypocrite, and a very wild spender.

@Puds,

Exactly and thank you for explaining that for those who haven’t experienced it. I mentioned ages ago that my first managerial role turned out to be working for a Meghan type - a viciously abusive woman, a VP in the company whose emotional and physical abuse literally sent staffers to the hospital. The team was silent and crushed, I quickly saw why. The only evidence they had were their own eyes, bruises and a few notes - HR made the notes disappear when turned in. It took me, one of my brave staffers, and a peer manager to go on offensive, collecting enough journaled data over a few months, planning. When another was rushed to hospital after having chest pains after being screamed at and shoved into a wall in front of us, and HR still refused to address it, we had to resort to deeper OTT means. The attacked were in shock.

so she now has her lawyers giving the response to the Times article. Billable hours meg, billable hours. And you cant get MOS to pay for it; its not related. Interesting Harry isnt mentioned in the Sussex response (guess its hard to defend your wife from slander when she's hurling the waffle maker at you) and interesting the response is not to sue (yet) maybe the law firm wants an upfront retainer for new litigation since they havent been paid yet for the old? I thought I read that Knauf left the foundation and went to private equity, not that it matters but his name has been attached to the allegations. Finally, i think there is more to the earrings story. They are setting them up - where are the earring and other things that are considered gifts of the crown. Did she take off with them when she went to Canada/US? did she sell them? could this become the level of a crime? and the articles introduced the split of the foundation. Setting us up for follow the money. I am guessing more comes out. Sunday is only 5 days away!!

@Longview, I can't find it anymore, but after the pregnancy announcement, there were articles in either the Express or the DM, or both, claiming a staff member had recorded Megs screaming at Harry because their kids would not be given the same sort of titles William's children had. Could have just been rumors, because the stories were framed as 'did a staff member have recordings?'

@JennS, You are really doing yeoman's work reading & posting all of the Times articles. Thank you!

@Sandie, Thanks for the links to LSA, I don't know how to navigate that site.

@AnT, Hilarious. I particularly enjoyed No one hurts the hunk of burning man love of Angry Cabbage! LOL! LCC says she's met Prince Philip several times, & that he's the 'most masculine' man she's ever met, along with Sean Connery.

If, as some of us suspect, Wills is behind the Palace info war, & not Charles, you can see why the rumors that HM & Philip don't think he would be a good king, might be true.

I'm beginning to see Harry as a rebel prince who has gone to another country, surrounded himself with foreign mercenaries, & is warring on his brother, the legitimate heir. Perhaps @WBBM & @Acquitaine can come up with pertinent parallels from history. I sort of see Harry as an Edward II, & Megs as his monstrous wife, Isabella. Edward was a legitimate heir, but was the 4th son of his father, Edward I.

That being said, unlike poor Skippy & some of her anons, I'm well aware that the present monarchy has only symbolic power, & basically exists to give legitimacy to the actions of elected officials, who have real power. That's why it is so important for the Monarch to be someone of perceived integrity.

I subscribe to The Telegraph so here are their most recent stories on the Sussexes:

Duchess of Sussex accused of 'bullying Palace staff to tears

The Duchess of Sussex faced several bullying complaints from members of her staff during her time as working royal, it was claimed on Tuesday night, as tensions between the couple and Buckingham Palace deepened.

She was accused of driving two personal assistants out of the household and undermining the confidence of a third employee, The Times reported.

A spokesman for the Sussexes told The Telegraph: "The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma.

"She is determined to continue her work building compassion around the world and will keep striving to set an example for doing what is right and doing what is good."

Telegraph Part 2

Jason Knauf, the couple's communications secretary at the time, submitted a formal complaint about the claims in October 2018 in an apparent bid to protect his staff. In his email, he said: "I am very concerned that the Duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household in the past year. The treatment of X was totally unacceptable. The Duchess seems intent on always having someone in her sights. She is bullying Y and seeking to undermine her confidence. We have had report after report from people who have witnessed unacceptable behaviour towards Y."

Royal aides are said to have approached The Times ahead of Meghan and Harry's Oprah Winfrey interview, due to be broadcast in the US on Sunday evening, because they felt only "a partial version" had emerged of the Duchess's two years as a working member of the Royal family. They were also said to be concerned about how such matters are handled by the palace.
Animal Lover said…
Part 3

Sources reportedly expressed concern that nothing was done at the time to investigate the situation, and nothing had been done since to protect staff against the possibility of bullying by a member of the Royal family.

The atmosphere at Kensington Palace was said to be so "febrile" that the Cambridges chose to accelerate the planned split between the two households. It was claimed that staff would be reduced to tears, with one aide, telling a colleague on anticipation of a confrontation with the Duchess: "I can't stop shaking." Two senior members of staff are said to have claimed they were bullied by the Duchess.

Another former employee told The Times they had been personally "humiliated" by her and claimed that two members of staff had been bullied. One aide claimed it felt "more like emotional cruelty and manipulation, which I guess could also be called bullying".

Sources appear to have raised concerns that little was done by palace staff, despite allegations that "members of staff, particularly young women, were being bullied to the point of tears". One is quoted as saying: "The institution just protected Meghan constantly. All the men in grey suits who she hates have a lot to answer for, because they did absolutely nothing to protect people.

Part 3

Mr Knauf's email is said to have been sent to Simon Case, then the Duke of Cambridge's private secretary and now the Cabinet Secretary, after he discussed the matter with Samantha Carruthers, the head of HR. Mr Case forwarded it to Ms Carruthers, who was based at Clarence House.

He said that Ms Carruthers "agreed with me on all counts that the situation was very serious".

The email, in which Mr Knauf is also said to have expressed concern about the stress experienced by Samantha Cohen, the Sussexes' private secretary, concluded: "I questioned if the Household policy on bullying and harassment applies to principals."

The Duke of Sussex is said to have pleaded with Mr Knauf not to pursue it, according to a source. However, lawyers for the couple denied that such a meeting took place or that the Duke would interfere with a staff matter.

A source close to the Sussexes told The Telegraph on Tuesday night that they had no reason to doubt the existence of the email.

Animal Lover said…
Part 4

However, the source said that when the alleged complainants became aware that the issue had been raised, they asked for it to be withdrawn and it was not pursued.

The Times alleged that two of the people named in the email, who have not been identified, felt that nothing had been done to investigate the bullying claim.

The couple's lawyers told The Times that it was "being used by Buckingham Palace to peddle a wholly false narrative" ahead of the Oprah interview.

When the Sussex and Cambridge households split in March 2019, Mr Knauf took up a job as an adviser to the Duke of Cambridge and is now chief executive of the Cambridges' Royal Foundation.

He was named in the recent privacy action taken by the Duchess against The Mail on Sunday as Meghan revealed that he had advised her when she was composing a letter to her father, Thomas Markle.

Buckingham Palace is understood to have been aware of the allegations for some time.

The palace declined to comment on Tuesday night.

IIRC, Wasn't there was a rumour about Mad Meg being filmed raging at staff at KP but it disappeared - wonder if it'll resurface?

@AnT, 3:13PM, Your comment shows exactly why so many have been trying to explain to deaf ears, that a person can be a horrible human being, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation, just as they could be good human beings regardless of what boxes they tick. No one wants to know that anymore.
@Neutral Observer - apologies, I posted too soon. Yes, it must have been a sound recording.

Parallels? Yes, Isabella `She-wolf of France'.

What about Wm III? We tend to think of him landing quietly at Brixham, as if he'd been on a trip around the bay. Jardine tells quite another story - he came with a huge fleet, armed to the teeth, for his own reasons, to unseat his father-in-law. We've conveniently forgotten that, having been so fixated on the `Protestant Destiny' of England, although he was being backed by the Pope.

Other than that, Stephen and Matilda? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen,_King_of_England

The idea that Black people were non-existent or even very rare in England or Europe is a recent revisionist history that erases the history of them such as the one you mentioned and the fact that 'Moors'were regular in Europe. They ignore the 700yrs the North African ruled southern Spain before the crusades and the Northern Europeans drove them out of Europe.

Heck, Alessandro D'Medici (yes those Medicis), Duke and ruler of Florence around the same time as the Henry 8 in England, was black (mixed). His nickname was il Moro ( the moor) on account of his dark skin. He reigned from 1510-37. This is him.

Meghan actually doesn’t have a team of lawyers. She has one small time family-matters attorney in Beverly Hills she uses for everything. The rebuttals would be Meghan and her PR team giving him the responses to the allegations and he putting it forward to The Times. Using her lowly attorney to respond is Meghan trying to bully The Times with the ‘I’m using a lawyer for this’ technique. The only way that would work as a threat, is if Meghan held more power. She doesn’t. They published.

On the subject of race and England:

George Bridgetower was a negro Violinist who must have been pretty good because Beethoven dedicated his Op 47 Violin Sonata to Bridgetower but as sometimes happened with Ludwig van he fell out with Bridgetower and as with the Eroica (originally dedicated to Bonaparte) scratched out the original dedication and rededicated the piece this time to Kreuzer.

Edward Elgar was responsible for obtaining for Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (Nigerian father - and of course because of Hiawatha one of the most successful British composers of the time whose fame subsists) the Norwich commission for his Violin Concerto.

In the latter half of the Nineteenth century and beyond minstrelsy was very popular. Just as we are now indifferent as to whether we see Abba or a lookalike Abba band, Victorians were indifferent as to whether their minstrels were negros or Welshmen in black-face (much as we do not care whether we see black Michael Jackson or white Michael Jackson). The newspaper adverts of the time fail to distinguish and so we cannot know for certain exactly who was performing.

More amazing to me is this section from Book 7 of Wordsworth's the Prelude in which book he is in walking the streets of London and has been down to the docks (this is just a small fraction of it). Listen to this:

"Through all the colours which the Sun bestows
And every character of form and face,
The Swede the Russian; from the genial south
The Frenchman and the Spaniard; from remote
America the hunter Indian; Moors,
Malays, Lascars, The Tartar and Chinese,
And Negro Ladies in white muslin gowns."

And negro Ladies in white Muslin gowns - in London, near the docks in 1800. London: simply not diverse enough for the Prince and Duchess of Woke. Brahahahaha.

Yes, exactly. The person I dealt with bullied men, women, people of color and people who were white, a woman who was pregnant, two men who were gay, a woman who was disabled — it was almost unbearable as I had previously worked in an incredibly healthy positive diverse environment, management to youngest staff, where no one was above the rules, and all were strictly protected. When the crazy woman VP was accused we were told “but she is a nice woman, but she champions charity X, but she has stress.” What we had to do to prove our point and stop her was absurd, and nearly cost us our jobs, but by that point, after three people had quit in tears and two were in hospital, we didn’t give a damn. I imagine that is how these royal aides feel — sometimes enough is simply enough.

@Neutralobserver and @WBBM: i stand by my observation that Harry is replaying George Plantagent, Duke of Clarence.

He was the middle brother of Edward 4 and Richard 3.

Even the family dynamics of continuing loyalty to him despite his many betrayals, jealousy and twice trying to usurp his brother is replaying with Harry.

George gets an infamous cameo in the play by Shakespeare where he is drowned in a barrel of wine, but that was after a l-o-n-g list of horrible stuff he did to his family.

He was easily persuaded that he was a better option and infact the rightful heir or King amd not his older brother.

He merrily spread rumours that his brother the King was illegitimate, the product of an affair between their mother and a random archer.

He twice sided, aided and allowed the Lancastrians to arrest ( or try) and usurp the throne. If not for the clever thinking, quick action and military brilliance of Edward and Richard, he would have succeeded.

And when he was forgiven for the upteenth time he behaved as if he were the King, grabbing money and wealth and insisting on being given or treated with honours.

His brothers always tried to save him from himself despite him showing no loyalty to them and ready to betray them on a dime.

When he finally went to far and used the King's powers to mete out justice, he was finally arrested and executed. And honestly, it's shocking he lasted so long and remained ungrateful to the end.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Plantagenet,_1st_Duke_of_Clarence

Isballe of France was a bada$$. She's smeared as she-wolf of England, but honestly she did the best she could out of the horrible situation she married.

Her husband, Edward 2, was only interested in the wellbeing of his lovers to the detriment of his office and his country and allowed them to misbehave and loot the treasury.

Isabelle had to save herself and her son. And the country. And she went about it in a way that was very clever.

Granted her tenure as Regent wasn't good and is the reason she earned the she-wolf moniker, but her husband was worse.

I'm annoyed that Matilda has been airbrushed from history and the lists of Monarchs of England. It annoys me that her usurper Stephen keeps all the glory and he didn't do anything significant in his reign besides usurp. He is so insignificant that his own bloodline wasn't kept and was succeeded by Matilda's son.

What does Harry know? Is he so far down the rabbit hole that he just does whatever Meghan convinces him now that she is holding power over him with rewriting history (Diana) and emotional manipulation?

Harry has been with her everyday for ages. He knew she didn’t give up her career. He knew what she wanted and that she wasn’t going to relent. My question is how could this devious person be so successful with Harry? Was it the mischief and adventure he was craving? The allure of an *A-list* actress? Listening to Dave Grohl talk about him, he’s very polite in his words and narratives, but it comes across as a Prince who is entitled to famous people’s company who doesn’t quite fit in anywhere. Did Harry think Meghan was going to open the A-list popularity door, so the likes of Dave would be calling him to hang out versus the other way around?

There’s something so messed up between the two of them (MH) In regards to lack of achievement, stature, self-esteem, misplacement in society, but holding onto extreme egos and entitlement. Obviously, both have severe mental issues. Together they cannot function as a normal couple or family. Startup Prince Life in America is one example of how they think, out of the box and extreme, to get away with their own rules and world. It’s not working out, of course. But it all does make me wonder how these two ‘click’.

@WBBM: it's estimated that there were over 50,000 black people living in England in the Tudor era. They lived the usual lives of everyday regular people and not the assumed history that they must have been slaves or servants.

That black Tudor trumpeter in Henry 8's court was immortalised in paintings of the court, and we must remember that The Tudors were very careful about PR and what they allowed to be used in images of them.

In more modern times, the fact that Josephine Baker had to come to Europe to have a normal life in which she could be a superstar is erased in favour of the R card revision of history.

@Opus: when it comes to Victoria, i go with her black and Asian godchildren. They were sent to her as prisoners or slaves, and she immediately freed them and treated them with honours, agency, money and status equal to their rank as princ(ess). The entire establishment had to treat them as if they were her own children, and they were raised in her palaces and later as adults retained the option of living in the palaces or returning home with all the privileges they'd grown up with.

One of these godchildren, Princess Sofia duleep Singh, was very active in the Suffragette movement and was the reason Emmeline Pankhurst was able to get into the halls of power to argue the case for the cause. Sofia flexed her titles and status with the ministers of the day to help the Suffragettes. Pity that she is airbrushed from the story about the Suffragettes.

@jessica,

To hazard a guess in answer to your question “what does Harry know” —I think they click the way members of a teen mean girls clique comes together.

Harry already enjoyed being rude and mean and harbors low self-esteem under his arrogance, as bullies often do.

Then he meets Meghan, narcissist and longtime Mean Girl, who has no scruples. She is so vile, living out his fantasy of being a massive b**** to anyone, anytime. Like a teen loser, he eagerly joins her, and Jessica and Markus too, and they form a gang of mean kids. Now Harry feels “in” and like he is on top, beating down others at the palace and in the press with the cool kids stick, the way he never “made it” at Eton. He is just a rich titled alienated thug, who found identity in Megs’ gang,

@Puds,
It is my hope that Megs is meeting her Waterloo the way my VP met hers: a combination of timing, the right people stepping in and stepping up, people worn to the point of a sort of fierce fearlessness, and using the connections they have to end her terror reign.

In my case, I was just 26, but I had advantage over this longtime powerful bully in unanticipated ways.

* I was joined by two strong people ready to fight, then a third and fourth in the last critical stages
* I had three standing job offers due to some work I’d done, and I confirmed that I could take the others with me if I wished
* her former boss in a previous firm was a colleague of my old boss, and was willing to share documents with our CEO that showed she had been fired for similar behavior from his team
* we got witness statements taken at the office of my kind landlord’s lawyer (my landlord was an extremely wealthy, kind man who helped lots of young artists, business people, students etc he rented or sold apartments to, like everyone’s dad. Legend. I went to him for advice; he dug around, found he knew two ex staff who had been abused by our VP too, and offered us his lawyer
* finally, a tough, young, brave fed-up staffer on our team (the day after the VP furiously stapled a designer’s hand til blood ran) came to me with a folder of all the evidence: she had elected to pretend to give in to a pushy creepy HR director who’d protected our VP ....he had been pressuring her for weeks, so she let him try it on his desk after work, recorded it, told him she recorded it, and forced him to return her handwritten abusive notes to us as he wept in terror. Another male staffer waited outside the office door for her to protect her and sprang in at the agreed upon moment so the guy had no way out.

Told you it was OTT. But, that is what it took. We were young, that angry, possibly foolish, but we prevailed.

Thus, I think an extreme news reveal like this was probably their only option, even if nuclear. I totally understand the deep emotion propelling this Kraken reveal.

Not sure in Philip’s case of course, but when my grandmother went through similar, she was pretty much a trouper, but did say that the IVs and monitors hurt her delicate, aging skin, bruising her arms. And that the MRI hurt her back and left her neck stiff from having to hold still. Also that the heart monitor device she had to wear was uncomfortable— but, all more in an ouch/annoyance way, versus actual pain.
Hope Philip is not dealing with more than this. Come on Philip, we are cheering you.
@AnT, wondering if could be related to a catheter. Those are pretty awful, quite painful. They would take my aunt's out to see if she could go, then have to put it back in because of pain, and the whole process was excruciating. I've had one, and it was the worst part of having surgery.

i think it was in the valentine low article that they were willing to work with her if she wanted to continue to act and she said no. Given her behaviour she probably burned a lot of hollywood bridges and we have seen she's not that good of an actress. It says to me, the palace was also considering her a minor royal hence the allowing her to keep her career. She really is a piece of work.

As for questions about PP and his heart procedures hurting I doubt he is having ablation but I wonder if he has a pace maker. Infections when you have heart (and heart failure issues) can put everything out of whack - rapid heatbeat being one of them. It can be a very unsettling feeling and maybe they are having trouble regulating that. sometimes with a pacemaker is a defibrillator that constantly reshocks the heart to get it into rhythm sometimes several times an hour that could be what Camilla is referring to. I am not a med professional but both parents had congestive heartfailure.

@puds: History is really interesting when you look at it from a social angle rather than the dry dates and politics.

I find i retain the information better too.

@WBBM: Forgot, one of the most celebrated black / mixed families is the Dumas family ie Alexandra Dumas - father (Thomas-Alexander Dumas), son ( Alexander Dumas the elder) and grandson (Alexander Dumas fils).

Thomas-Alexander was born a slave in Haiti, but his French aristocratic father took him back to France where he was immediately freed because France had banned slavery within it's borders in the 14th century. He raised the boy as a regular member of his family and in due course inherited his father's Marquis title though the titles were subsequently mothballed due to the french revolution.

Being an aristocrat in France helped Thomas-Alexander gain a commission in the french army, rapidly advance to Brigadier- General and eventually lead entire French army with only the Emperor Napoleon as his superior.

This is Thomas-Alexander

Alexander Dumas the Elder is best known for his literary output. His books remain favourites globally. I go there with caution as LSA has been in a lot of legal trouble in the past over privacy issues and doxing so caution to those who wish to get involved there. I just love the reading.

Nutties, I am going back into reading mode as I feel I am not seasoned enough to contribute at this Kraken time. I congratulate all of you oldies (vs. us newbies) in getting the tea out as well as you do! You ladies are badasses and I salute every one of you. I will be glued to the blog for the latest yet I don't want to steer us off course so have fun and let's roll!!!

@AnT,

One final thought: sounds like your old boss was an Anna Wintour type, like the movie The Devil Wears Prada!

I feel for you. I worked with a woman just as you described but I was older and I just watched as she eventually hung herself with her narc behavior. I can't even imagine the hell if she was the boss. Oy...

I thoroughly enjoy your posts! :)

CNN has a very sympathetic "Opinion" piece by an author/filmmaker/researcher/psychologist trying to say Harry's actions are "brave" and how he has suffered because of his mother's death and subsequent life in a palace. She clearly didn't "research" this duo. Bad sign, I thought. But, then I went to CNN's FB page to see comments. Sugary ones, but many more telling them to just shut up already. I liked the following comment. She has no love for the RF, but her other points are ones I hope many Americans share!

forgive my sarcasim..but its not easy being a prince. for Gods sakes..........people are starving out there. in this pandemic year....not enough food . lost their homes ..were evicted from their apartments....some lost loved ones to covid...please!!! this is not worthy news...and i m a big fan of you guys at cnn. this is the celebrity garbage..and nothing more...IT WAS a smart move getting out of that family and all the arrogance, smugness. the elitiest pompous attitude of the so called 'royals' .........but now we are expected to treat this couple as special elevated people..in their status. i think not. LETS GET ON CNN...SOME DOCTOR OR NURSE...who saved someones life this year of the covid. this is a joke....i do not care what these people do..i wish them well in life...but its just becoming cnn the national enquirer here....please guys...are you running out of stories..?

@WBBM, So sorry I missed your fascinating examples of historic parallels to Harry!
There are so many interesting posts to read, & I lose time because I keep switching back & forth from posting to reading. The posting page on my screen has such tiny print that I have to return to the original page to read the posts of others. I so enjoy the additional information that posters bring from their own knowledge & experience.

just read piers column on the latest Harkle drama on Bullying. I love piers continually calling them out on their hypocrisy and BS.

I won’t watch the Harkles/ Oprah interview, I avoid all of their thirsty self promotion because I dont want to give them the clicks/ ‘eyeballs’/ ratings. But do look forward to reading a transcript of their whiny BS after the fact.

Both are insufferable. Every day any sympathy I ever had for ‘Just call me Harry ‘ drops further and I hope he never returns to the BRF, even after the divorce. He has treated his BRF family horribly. (just like MM treated hers horribly).

and i find it very hard to believe MM and Eugenie are still ‘very close’. they may have had courtesy pregnancy texts but thats probaby it!

@Acquitaine, LOL, I keep telling myself that I'm not going to post anything, & just read, but your post on the distinguished Dumas family reminded me of the famous Russian poet, Alexander Pushkin, who also had a great-grandfather of African descent, who also was a general. Pushkin is considered by some to be the greatest of all Russian poets, & his family, the Pushkins, were Russian nobility. It just goes to show, be careful whose statue you pull down.
Have just received next week's Radio Times. It must have gone to press too late for the interview to be listed but there's a mealy-mouthed fence-sitting article by Libby Purves article. Like Susannah Reed, she seems to want to project an image of herself as the picture of woke niceness. Both have sunk in my estimation.

I prefer honest battle axes like Ann Widdecombe. Her instant reaction to the engagement was `She's trouble.' I wonder what she knew?

I suspect that the FF authors are the source of this PR.

The article says that Eugenie is the only member of the BRF that Meghan remains close to. I doubt that Meghan was close to anyone in Harry's family, ever.

I wonder what Eugenie feels about being used for Meghan PR, especially with the release of the information of her and Harry bullying staff. Those stories are not new, but what is new is that their behaviour was escalated to HR level but nothing was done (other than split the staff and foundation and get the Harkles moved out of KP and various efforts to assist staff who resigned), and Harry tried to make it all go away (begged) with no action taken.

The problem with Meghan trying to turn this into a BP smear campaign is twofold: the leaks are not coming from BP but from KP and CH; Meghan did leave a trail in America of just this kind of behaviour.

Why is Meghan going after the Queen (BP)? Or are her and her PR machine still too stupid and self-centred to understand how the monarchy works?

Americans are never going to be interested in M&H at any sustained level because they contribute nothing. The UK will remain interested as they were prominent in society, and the ‘what will Harry do/ will he come back’ will linger for several years longer. As for press attention, they have barely in the United States because they don’t *do* anything. The drama in the UK isn’t relevant to their life in the US, but still we aren’t seeing any traction, just big talk. Meghan knows this and is desperate to get the deals they need to appear successful and continue their high level lifestyle. They wouldn’t need an Oprah expose if her deals were working out. Meghan operates on ‘attention’ = ‘power’. The only power she has been able to derive is from Harry. A person. Not a business.

Anyway, just some thoughts here. I’m surprised she’s still trucking along. Oprah will be contrived for both their benefit and will dress up Meghan’s *efforts* in US as larger than they are.

@Sandie - think Eugenie and MM being close is rubbish. There was some aricle about it in DM last week possibly BUT the very next day was an article about Ellie Goulding being Eugenies BFF - I thought the timing of the Ellie Goulding article was Eugenies way of letting people know that it was untrue about her and MM without actually coming out and saying it - if that makes sense

AnT said,

“ Harry already enjoyed being rude and mean and harbors low self-esteem under his arrogance, as bullies often do.

He is just a rich titled alienated thug, who found identity in Megs’ gang,”

Thank you. This makes a lot of sense. Harry, desperate to fit in somewhere, found his crew who let him behave however he wants without rule. Easily compromised individual. When I really think about it, sadly it does seem even though he is of age to make his own decisions BP failed him, by not keeping Meghan at bay. Some people need to be protected and are susceptible to bad influence. It was probably hard for BP to imagine that he could be so opposite of a presentable ‘Royal’.

The trial was stopped by the request for a SJ. Warby found in favour of Meghan on the issue of breach of copyright and invasion of privacy.

I think Meghan dropped her claim of sole copyright ownership, so there is no need for a hearing to sort that out. If I am wrong, she is going to be slaughtered!

The outstanding matters are:

A final order on costs. Meghan is claiming a huge amount and the court needs to check this. She was granted an initial payment to her lawyers within two weeks, but a lesser amount than what she asked for.

Warby has not ruled on all of Meghan's demands (apology and details of what, where, how, and so on). She has also demanded a share of ANL's profits.

Warby has not ruled on the data protection claim. Meghan may have dropped this claim ... I am not sure.

There is supposed to be a hearing to argue about and decide on personal damages. I think Meghan has dropped her initial outrageous demands to a nominal amount. Since Knauf at least is recognized as also having copyright over the letter it mystifies me that Meghan was allowed to present demands of what she wanted but Knauf was not given a say at all. If I am wrong on this point, then Meghan is completely deluded to think that arguing victimhood and demanding a huge payout is a good idea.

Meghan and her lawyers had to shut it all down to stop ANL from presenting the evidence they had gathered and to stop anyone from testifying, because it would be so damaging for her and because she is a liar.

Hello

Well seems like William Arthur Philip Louis has decided to let some PR slip! It has to be him or Charles. Permission to release these types of articles would have to be given by one or both men. Charles does not have the stomach for it, but at this point, he is not going to object. I think they finally realize that Meghan is out for blood, out to destroy them and their birthright. I am positive that Camilla counsels Charles and tells him what we've talked about earlier, that Meghan is abusively manipulating Harry. So Charles is now going along with these efforts to defend their family.

Magatha- Loved the 'Scarfing' poem.

I have always believed that Melissa Tabouti was one of Meghan's first victims. Melissa was very attractive, competent and vivacious. Meghan clearly knew she wasn't going to keep Melissa around but Melissa was popular within the Royal Family, plus Meghan probably needed her to get through the wedding. Agree with others that pointed out how the RF put out a very nice statement on Melissa which was highly unusual. I am sure that statement absolutely infuriated Meghan.

In my opinion, Meghan can only work with men and women who are not attractive and who are submissive. Sorry if that sounds mean, but facts are facts.

Come on Melissa..........spill the beans. I am sure she will not out of respect for the RF but I sure wish she would.

The National Bullying Helpline Twitter says it's 'unlikely Meghan deliberately bullied staff at Kensington Palace' - as seen on Cat with the Emerald Tiara. So Megalo bullied staff by accident? Scroll down a bit to see some replies.

This statement is not helpful and would make anyone on the receiving end of bullying feel worthless. It's as if they're making light of it. I hope no member of staff she bullied at KP reads it, they would be devastated.

I think the tweet must have been removed, I can't see it on their Twitter account.

This is an astute observation about Harry. Exactly.

I awoke early this morning before my alarm and after scrolling through this blog to see what came in overnight, I watched a brief video on YouTube about the Harry-Chelsy relationship and why it went bad. I had read (erroneously) in other sources that the two met at the same secondary school but it was actually in 2004 during Harry's gap year stint in South Africa. Chels' dad was at one time the largest private landowner in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia as was), and she was educated at top schools in England. I think the story told by both of Harry's longest-term exes, Chelsy and Cressida Bonas, that they just realized that they couldn't cope with the spotlight of Royal life was a polite fiction to protect Harry's image. No idea if these sentiments were genuinely their own, or if they were crafted at the, um, encouragement of the Palace, in order to shield Harry's real vile character from the public. Neither of these girls whom he professed to love (he proposed marriage to Chelsy at one point, IIRC more than once) called him out as a misogynistic racist bully who physically and verbally abused people, had a foul temper, was an entitlist cheap-ass prat and an epically inattentive boyfriend who was serially unfaithful and usually chose getting wasted with his mates over spending time with his girlfriend. In Chelsy's case, she applied to a graduate program in Leeds expressly so she could be based in England full-time and see more of Harry .. and shortly afterwards they broke up for the first time. After her was Cressida, who likewise said the line 'Royal life isn't for me' after two years of dating. Chelsy was not a public figure, despite coming from such a wealthy family, but she went on to become a barrister, which does not indicate a fragile personality who can't cope with pressure. Cressida is an actress and a model, also from an aristocratic family, and I think would have also been up to the public aspects of a Royal role. Being an actress and a camera-savvy pro was Meg's biggest selling point, apart from her black mother . .so we thought.

Hikari said…
More to the point, life with Harry was not for them. And in both cases, it was the girls who rejected Harry .. Chelsy announcing their final parting of the ways on her Facebook page. I think it's pretty interesting that even though Harry treated them both like s^&#, they still both attended his wedding--albeit relegated to the cheap seats at the far back where they could see sod all and of course, not invited to the evening 'do. That must be a particularly English aristocratic thing to do . .invite all one's exes to one's wedding to someone else. If they shared children or other relatives in common, I could understand it but I myself would find it difficult to smile and pretend to be having a great time at the nuptials of a guy who treated me poorly and cheated on me with other women. Shows some great 'You didn't break me, you wanker' spirit, and both ladies kept it classy. One of them, can't remember who, only went so far as to allow that "sometimes he wasn't very nice." If we run that through the 'Well-bred English understatement' translator, that very likely means "He was a flaming prat to me and made me cry on a regular basis." Perhaps he even hit them. Harry is a very angry person with zero impulse control, so hitting and busting things is par for the course.

But the bully must have had a secret, even unconscious, need to be dominated and humiliated himself and he's found the lid for his stewpot of psychic misery in Meghan. Harry may be an abuse victim, but evidently, he likes it. Keeps sticking around for more. My question is . . Harry enjoys joining Meghan in her games and joins her in spouting off against the 'evil British media that killed my Mum' and the insidious 'Men in Grey' whose mission in life it was to curtail his freedoms--but did Harry really and truly realize just how far this would go? He's not just dissing 'the courtiers' now . . he is openly abusing his nonagenarian grandparents on the world stage. Is there any internal sense at all that he's gone much too far, or is that internal gauge (ie, the conscience) broken? Was it ever operational?

There you have it! Megalo must have been threatened by someone more competent than herself. This is how bullies bully.

'Bullies cannot distinguish between leadership, management and bullying', from bullying.co.uk. Do read the sections called 'deceptiveness' and 'manipulative' - that's Meg to a T.

Also, bullies are compulsive liars. I think we can safely say Mega has form in this department.

@Hikari- Meghan's ego wanted Chelsea and Cressida at the wedding. She relished in it!

Shortly after the wedding, we started hearing that Meghan had Harry on a diet, not drinking, doing yoga, etc. She immediately put him in the place she wanted him.

Of all the looks at H&M's wedding, obviously the Queen's glare and Camilla and Catherine's shared looks of embarassment are classic, but Chelsea had a very contemplative look in a few snaps.
@Christine, I figure Chelsy still cares about him, you know like friends do, and even an ex can be objective about it and see "Gosh, this person is not healthy for him, etc etc". It happened to me with my ex-they married a narc and it's been like watching a train wreck. I feel bad for him, and observe his sense of humour is gone, he's snappy and grouchy all the time, and the light is gone from his eyes-not to mention stories told to me on the DL from his parents about how the narc acts at family gatherings and the like. It's really sad and hard to watch someone you care about get chewed up and spit out, literally ground into nothing.

MM IMHO does not care what the British people think about her. Her target audience in mainly in the USA.
If Goop can make bank selling vagina candles and similar items, I'm sure there is a market for MM if she has a product to sell. However, her audience may not be as large as she wants.

Harry is a different story. His life may be a tragedy.
Christine said…
I too feel bad for Harry, amoung my other mixed feelings about him. Can he truly think he has bettered himself with this relationship?! I'm sure he is very happy about his son and new baby coming but otherwise, as far as I can see, his life is absolutely in the gutter. I'm sure he'd like to share Archie with his family, but she won't allow it. He's trapped.

On the other hand, he has allowed all of this to take place. It's his fault for allowing this all to happen, regardless of what abuse he suffers. If Harry was the woman and Meghan the man, I am sure people would see this all very differently.

Oh and yes, Americans fall for the 'breaking free' narrative very easily. Meghan is banking on it.

@WBBM: Ding, ding, ding! You are so correct. When I was younger and had to deal with people like Meghan, which included people in my family and people I encountered outside of my family, I just figured they were mean jerks.

But after learning about personality disorders and the behaviors that are common with each disorder, I can spot these people from a mile away. You don’t even have to have personal experience with them because like people playing poker, once you become a student of behavior, it is easy to spot a the “tells” that give them away as someone affected by a personality disorder.

Prior to the engagement, I wasn’t paying much attention to Harry and Meghan or the royals in general. I follow news, so would occasionally see items when they popped up in the news here in the States.

But then I saw the photo call in the garden and watched the BBC engagement interview and as the narc-alert alarm bells went off in my mind, I thought, “Whoa! That chick’s probably a narc!!” I was stunned and knew that Harry had probably been caught up in the snare of a woman with probable full-blown case of narcissistic personality disorder.

It has been sad, but at the same time fascinating to watch their relationship play out on the world stage in the British Royal Family no less supplying the highest grade of narcissistic fuel possible to Meghan’s narcissism. With that kind of fuel, it’s no wonder she has run wild through the monarchy and Harry’s life.

This will not end well on multiple fronts, and the fear of her by HMTQ and Charles has made a bad situation worse due to their inaction and kid glove approach to Meghan’s destructive ways. The longer they dither, the worse it will be, so I hope they go nuclear with her and Harry. The Sussexes are an infestation, and Meghan is the head of the infestation. Harry is just the follower. They need to squish her like a cockroach.

From one of my favorite columnists at the Telegraph:

The timing of bullying allegations could not be worse for Brand Harry and Meghan

Allegations that the Duchess of Sussex faced bullying complaints while a working Royal appear at odds with the couple's 'kindness' agenda

By
Camilla Tominey,
ASSOCIATE EDITOR
3 March 2021 • 12:34pm

It was the marmalade dropper that took the world by surprise.

Allegations that the Duchess of Sussex faced several bullying complaints from members of her staff during her time as working Royal appear completely at odds with Harry and Meghan’s “compassion and kindness” agenda.

As a spokesman for the former Suits star put it: “The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma.

"She is determined to continue her work building compassion around the world and will keep striving to set an example for doing what is right and doing what is good."

Yet the suggestion that the 39-year-old drove two personal assistants out of the household and undermined the confidence of a third employee certainly does not sit comfortably with Meghan’s suggestion, to be aired on Sunday night’s Oprah interview, that her time in the Royal family was “almost unsurvivable”
Animal Lover said…
Part 2

For while the Duchess claims to have been “silenced”, so too, seemingly were the women who made the allegations to the couple’s then communications secretary, Jason Knauf, who submitted the formal complaint about the claims in October 2018.

In his email, he is alleged to have said: "I am very concerned that the Duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household in the past year. The treatment of X was totally unacceptable. The Duchess seems intent on always having someone in her sights. She is bullying Y and seeking to undermine her confidence. We have had report after report from people who have witnessed unacceptable behaviour towards Y."

It is significant that the claims have surfaced not only out of concern for the accuracy of the Sussexes’ narrative, but also amid suggestions the palace could have handled the matter better.

Sources reportedly expressed concern that nothing was done at the time to investigate the situation, and nothing had been done since to protect staff against the possibility of bullying by a member of the Royal family. One is quoted as saying: "The institution just protected Meghan constantly. All the men in grey suits who she hates have a lot to answer for, because they did absolutely nothing to protect people."

Part 3

The signs that something was very amiss at Kensington Palace were plain to see after Harry and Meghan married at Windsor Castle in May 2018.
The atmosphere became so testy that the Cambridges chose to accelerate the proposed split between the two households. The Sussexes were left feeling very put out when their request to establish their own “court” at Frogmore Cottage, their new Windsor home, was rejected by the Queen and Prince Charles in favour of them coming under the auspices of Buckingham Palace. It was said at the time that the 94-year-old monarch and the heir to the throne felt Harry and Meghan were increasingly “operating in a silo” and needed careful guidance.

This, in turn, deepened the tensions between the two royal brothers and their wives, with the Sussexes resenting the fact that the Cambridges were able to operate completely independently of either Buckingham Palace or Clarence House thanks to their seniority in the royal pecking order. The rising acrimony between the so-called heir and the spare was exacerbated by alleged conflicts between the Sussexes and the staff they jointly shared with William and Kate.

According to one well-placed insider: “Both of the Dukes were not getting along anyway but the staffing problems left Harry, particularly, in a very difficult position.

“There was a sense that he was caught in a conflict between long-standing employees and his new wife’s way of doing things.

“He really tried to smooth things over and staff were grateful for that. They never had any problem with the Duke directly.”

It was around the time of the alleged bullying complaint that reports started emerging of a “culture clash” between Meghan’s “celebrity” way of doing things, and the palace old guard.
