@portcitylass I agree with you that for the sake of the future monarchy, HM should retire (regency) or less likely, abdicate in favor of Charles. She is 95, no one would begrudge her for it. I have read so many comments on DM with people commenting that Charles doesn’t look well. (Maybe there is a reason she won’t abdicate and maybe Charles is sick?)

Charles is not at his optimum but looks healthy enough to be King. Just going by photos of course. What puts people off is that his face and hands are often red. I have seen this medical condition posted here but forget what it is

May 07, 2021 · Prince Charles has sparked concern among royal fans, with a huge spike in internet searches on his swollen and sore-looking "sausage fingers" being observed in the past year. Prince......

Prince Charles' fingers have become a concern among royal fans, with internet searches for his swollen hands having spiked over the past year.
The Prince of Wales is believed to have referred to his "sausage fingers" during a trip to Australia back in 2012 and the term has become the seventh most Googled in the UK over the past year.
This royal news comes after it was reported that Duchess Camilla is "dreading" the day Prince Charles takes the throne.
Prince Charles' hands have become a growing point of interest for royal fans over the past year, it seems, with "Prince Charles fingers" and "Prince Charles sausage fingers" now among the most Googled search terms for the royal.

The Prince of Wales' so-called "sausage fingers" have made it to fourth place in the list of Brits' most searched internet queries about the Prince in the past 12 months, after various images of the future King's puffy pointers sparked concern among his supporters.

@JennS: look through plant's archives to find the truth about the dishwasher story.

She created a long blog post - with sources, investigating origins and fraudulent claims of it.

She also created a long blog post about how it was resurrected for PR purposes stripping out the inconvenient parts and reframing it as a singular herculean effort by the plucky 11yr old Meghan complete with a wonky timeline that was impossible unless the child had a time travelling device.

@xxxxxx: Re Charles's sausage fingers.

I don't know the medical term for it, but Charles's fingers and feet are the result of hereditary condition from Philip who also suffered increasingly swollen fingers as he aged.

Philip's fingers became so swollen and painful that he stopped wearing his rings about 20yrs ago.

The condition showed up much earlier for Charles because i remember his sausage fingers were the cause of comment in the 80s.

I also think his version of the condition is worse than Philip's condition because Philip never got ruddy in the face. Then again, ruddiness could be your typical British complexion which is quite common especially in British outdoorsy types.

Philip often kept his hands at his back so not many people realised how bad his hands were.

If you look at his hands in that last picture with little Mia Tindall, they are quite swollen and fleshy compared to how they were in pictures from the 1950s and 60s.

I was reading abt Jason Knauf and was going to post when I saw your post. A few paragraphs from the DM;

Earlier this year, he was at the centre of claims that Meghan had bullied palace staff, and made a formal complaint about her behaviour that prompted an internal inquiry.

Mr Knauf alleged that Meghan bullied several female members of their team, forcing at least two to quit, with The Times newspaper revealing the claims in early March.

This prompted Buckingham Palace to launch an inquiry, but a spokesman for Harry and Meghan denied the claims, calling them a 'calculated smear campaign'.

Harry was said to have known of the complaint made by Mr Knauf and have had a meeting with him in which he begged him not to pursue it. The Sussexes deny this.
(my emphasis)

Jason Knauf said that working for the Cambridges had been the 'privilege of my career'. Not sure he said the same abt the unmentionable two.

O/T @hunter: Thanks for the Swoobie(tm) information! In the winter, I go through clothes and ask myself "Why do I have 57 T-shirts and what looks like an equal number of bras?" I'll throw them in a rag bag and then, when the summer arrives, I remember! I spend a lot (a LOT) of time outdoors at 95 degrees F and higher (35 to 37C) and humidity hovering around 100%. It is not unusual for me to be able to wring out clothes because they are so saturated with sweat that can't evaporate in the humidity. I average three or four clothing changes per day.

I could use Swoobie-lined clothes so that I wouldn't have to change so often. What happens to the water that is soaked up by the Swoobies? Will my chest look like it's growing by the minute, much like Catherine's sister-in-law's belly?

I agree. It is unrealistic to think HM will step aside. She has done a magnificent job as Queen and so many will be saddened without her. I guess I feel PW and DC will need so much support in this crazy world especially with 6 and wife vying for world domination. PC, in my opinion, does not have the backbone to carry the nation forward with this type of interference from 6 when the Queen is gone.

I used to enjoy perusing all the mags with pics of the royal family, but now I just get a bad feeling when I see the covers. I guess I'm just sick of all the drama and I think by now everyone knows this will never end. I will add that a few of my very liberal gf s have seen the light and have expressed their disdain for H and M. I asked why and they said the O interview lowered their opinion of them. Most admire HM and were shocked H would do this to his grieving family.

When I was even younger than Catherine’s BiL's wife, I `intervened' in a printing dispute at DC Thomson, publishers of Dandy & Beano. Pure self interest, of course.

I wrote to them, urging the printers back to work saying `we children were fed up with not getting our comics'. I had nice reply which I showed to my teacher & she read it out in class.

The strike ended soon afterwards but I didn't really think it was because of me!

I kind of pop in for a few minutes infrequently now, read afew comments, respond to those and pop out again.

I will say though that IMO Jason, Queen's lawyers and his leaving are tied together.

Not necessarily in a nefarious way.

If his husband is leaving the country by the end of december, perhaps he didn't want to continue having ties in UK of a court case brought by someone who caused alot of stress in his workplace.

So he recants and the Crown withdraw their claim, and Mrs 6 wins the case.

Case closed.

Everyone can move on.

Except Mrs 6 of course.

She'll do a victory lap if ANL loses the appeal and she'll include this victory in future biographies.

And ANL's titles and rest of media will continue to drag her.

For Jason, he leaves peacefully with a very public glowing reference from The Cambridges to a new life.

Geez - PH and mental health just torques me. I could tell some stories. I lose 3 co-workers in 18 months to onduty car accidents (I worked law enforcment dispatch) & my father during the same time to cancer. And then 6 months later, a co-worker to accidental drowning. My head was so screwed up during that time. We all were. It was so frightening.

So it really burns me to hear H talk about his mental health, especially in regards to losing his mother.

OT: Laundry product

I’ve used dryer sheets in my clothes dryer to reduce static in my clothes. They work. Am now using 4 balls of wool instead of the laundry sheets and I much prefer the woolen balls. The balls are baseball-size and are a one-time purchase, as well as being a green product.

All this P&G discussion made me post this. 😁

dryer sheets are also carcinogenic. Which is something that P&G sell a lot of - carcinogenic products. You're better off using vinegar in your wash and avoiding any of their products in the dryer.

"Surely it can't be good for P&G if H&M remind the public constantly of their sexist ad that she was so "furious" about? But she'll take their money now?

I would add that it seems odd for a 9 year old to be "furious" about a commercial.

That sounds like a child who has been prodded to say something, or has emotional difficulty at baseline.

Children at 9 years old should not be so invested in the experiences of adult men and women that they are "furious" about such a situation. That's inappropriate. Kids are egocentric at that age in a good way: primarily concerned with their family unit, peers, and pets.

I agree at this point as an adult she certainly seems to experience rage at baseline."

It was a class project that mrs 6 co-opted decades later to serve her humanitarian rep whilst leaving out the fact that it was a class project. If you pay attention to the details she recounts, they are completely wrong eg she mentioned Gloria Allred and First lady Hilary Clinton and the LA riots.

"Now Gayle King and CBS set their sights on the Queen: Oprah's best pal will delve into monarch's private life and future without Philip for TV special featuring Paul McCartney and Barack Obama - weeks after network aired Harry and Meghan's bombshell interview

The Queen Carries On: A Gayle King Special will air on Friday at 8pm ET, and will feature interviews with Sir Paul McCartney and former President Barack Obama

Lady Anne Glenconner, the Queen's childhood friend and maid of honor, will also appear in the special, as well as royal author Tina Brown and expert Wesley Kerr

In a preview clip, Gayle, 66, who shared several behind-the-scenes tidbits from Oprah's sit-down on CBS This Morning, is seen interviewing the guests

According to a press release, the special will focus on 'her extraordinary life and reign', including the 'challenge and controversy, romance and heartbreak'

The Queen Carries On will air just over two months after CBS broadcast Oprah's controversial sit-down with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

During the interview, which aired while the late Prince Philip was in hospital, the Sussexes made several very serious allegations about the Royal Family

The most damaging was their claim that an unnamed royal made racist comments about how 'dark' their son Archie's skin would be

Gayle's new special comes exactly five weeks to the day after the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, to whom the Queen was married for 73 years

'[The Queen is] now 95 and facing one of the most challenging chapters of her reign,' CBS said noted in a statement about the special "

@JennS: Just read in the Telegraph that ANL lawyers accidentally copied a chain of emails to Meghan's lawyers in which they were asking Jason to confirm their theory about his copyright claim.

Jason didn't respond despite repeated attempts and then eventually denied the claim.

Very iffy considering he was gang ho to testify several months ago.

Apparently Mrs 6's lawyers intend to use the emails as grounds for higher damages.

Meanwhile Judge Warby thinks entire case has been torturous which speaks to his decisions in my view. He just wanted them to go away. Probably jumped for joy when her lawyers finally switched strategies to SJ because he could tie up the case in a neat bow and throw it in the trash where it belongs.

My post about the word chuffed not used in America. This was meant in a joking way. And I did say that the British speak proper English, unlike those in lands the British colonized. Such as the USA and Australia, and others I did not mention. The phony-baloney wokistas can say what they like, but in my book English colonialism was a positive force in the world. Of course there were some negatives, but on balance it was positive.

What is really amusing is when people from former British colonies immigrate to the UK, then start harping on the lefty line of anti-colonialism. They toppled more than a few UK statues this way. What a cruel joke!

It annoys them to no end that this white woman is called a Queen and that no one of colour has any chance of achieving that title in their lifetimes. They have decided to make this poor widow's life as difficult as they can without being called on it.

I've noticed that AA women love to be called "queen" by their lovers. It's not something I've seen in any other community.

I was just reading a monarchy magazine from France. The headline on the cover is "Meghan - diabolique" so you can guess whose side they're on.

Quite a few stories about Meghan inside. Actually, most of the stories are about the BRF and their reaction to the Oprah interview. But, also quite a few stories about Lady Colin Campbell and her interviews about Meghan and her take on Meghan's claims.

One story about Meghan's bullying of staff.

Decidedly, they don't seem to favour Harry's wife.

on another topic, I didn't realize that Caroline of Monaco's husband, Ernst of Hanover, had been condemned to prison for violence on police and on his staff in Austria. He was sentenced to 10 months in prison and could not approach his own castle for 3 years. He is appealing the sentence.

I apologise, the headline is misleading - very often unclear in the DM - I should have mentioned that the few lines below the headline it says that was while they were dating. So it seems when she went to London, they arranged to meet in a supermarket for a date. I had a quick look:

'He said: 'The first time Meghan and I met up for her to come and stay with me, we met up in a supermarket in London, pretending we didn't know each other, texting each other from the other side of the aisles.'

Well, he wanted an ordinary life, didn't he?

Oh that does put a different spin on it. They are like a couple of teenagers (eye roll).

I wonder how much real life he’ll take if they mange to get themselves caught up in an elaborate sting (which will show them up for who they are)? They are selling out to anyone willing to give them the time of day and a pay day...someone is bound to catch them. Harry is reminding me of a far worse version of Fergie, post divorce. ;o)

Gayle King....what the hell is wrong with you? Horrible woman. Barely a month after losing her love, her husband, and HM has to hear about this upcoming TV "special." I'm really livid about this. I'm beginning to believe that there is a cabal of evil people out there trying to end the monarchy. First, we have MM come along and spout her lies. I do not believe that she was suicidal or that racist statements were made to/about her by the RF. It's as though she & H sat around one evening thinking what would be the most damaging accusations that could be lobbed out there, yet difficult to disprove. Such deeply hurtful actions toward HM and the RF; my heart breaks for them.

On another note, how do we think a white woman married into the royal family of say, Morocco or Lesotho would fare if she ignored protocol, dressed inappropriately and basically said she wanted to change or modernize the monarchy? Then she proceeds to blab to the world her perceived (lies!) mistreatment? Would not go over so well. But since she's MM, a woman of color, she is permitted to push her narrative to infinity, less everyone is a horrible racist. Our world is obsessed with race now, especially here is the US. It is not such a great time to be living here. I pray for HMTQ and family and I hope our Nutties across the pond can keep a good thought for us.

I dunno, Wild Boar Battle-maid, I don't look at Yahoo because they want permission for my information and I don't give it.

What I'm *very* concerned about is that the supply chain disruption and collapse is continuing/accelerating. The White House says "pay no attention to that inflation behind the curtain", it is temporary. It isn't; in fact, it is accelerating. There is a *huge* grain shortage. Just corn prices for us small producers have risen 28% in the last month if it can be gotten. I understand the wheat crop is almost a total loss in the Dakotas due to weather. Crop failures throughout the rest of the world *require* a bumper corn crop in the US but weather conditions are saying *nope*, not gonna happen. My brother is in a nationwide food supply company, and he says chicken is becoming increasingly difficult to get.

I have long worried about the outsourcing of our capabilities. Small towns used to produce their own veggies, meats, eggs, dairy, local grist mills ground flour from grains. Now our small towns are depopulated because *all* those local jobs have been outsourced.

Buckingham Palace has requested that a doctored image of Queen Elizabeth wearing a MAGA hat and QAnon brooch be removed from the 'Trump Train' bus.

A Palace spokesperson confirmed that 'representations asking for (the photo's) removal have been made' Buzzfeed News reported.

The 'Trump Train' bus is adorned with multiple doctored images, including former president Trump's head on a boxer's body with abs, former president Ronald Reagan wearing a red TRUMP hat and the Queen wearing a MAGA hat and a QAnon brooch.

The tour bus is owned by a Trump supporter named Buddy Hall and serves as 'the unofficial campaign tour bus to support the 2020 reelection of President Trump,' Hall said in a GoFundMe raising money for the bus upkeep, including gas and repairs. It still is driving around post-election.

The doctored picture of the Queen has been on the bus for more than a year, but was not widely noticed until the bus's appearance at last week's 'America First' rally, Buzzfeed News reported.

The original image - the one before it had been doctored - of the Queen was taken by Getty Images photographer Christopher Furlong on April 1, 2011, in Anglesey, Wales, Buzzfeed News reported.

Buckingham Palace is not the only camp reaching out to Hall. Popular website hosting service GoDaddy has also asked that their logo be removed from the bus.

'GoDaddy doesn't sponsor the bus and we don't have any advertising relationships with the bus/owner whatsoever,' GoDaddy spokesman Dan Race told the Huffington Post. 'They don't have permission to use our brand on the bus and we've asked them to remove.'

'They built us a nice website. I just wanted to show my appreciation,' he told the Huffington Post in a statement.

The bus was most recently spotted at Republican representatives Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene 'America First' rally in Florida.

Hall posted a video on Facebook during the Florida stop of tour where he talked about future plans for the bus

'We're on the Trump 2024 revenge tour,' he said.

He said the bus recently underwent a makeover, with the year in 'Trump Pence 2020' being replaced with '2024,' suggesting a presidential run in the upcoming election and 'Ready for Round 2' being replaced with 'Ready for Round 3,' referring to a third presidential campaign in 2024 for Trump, who has not confirmed plans to run for president again.
Hall also said he is planning on replacing Vice President Mike Pence on bus.

'We were going to put Pence under the bus, but he don't even qualify to be there,' Hall said.

A spokesperson for Greene told BuzzFeed News that they were not affiliated with the bus but did not see any problem with the fact that the Queen's image was being used. 'You do know what a meme is right? Isn't that what Buzzfeed is all about?'

so my 72 year old obese neighbour with Covid has finished his quarantine period and is now symptom free.

Apart from bad body aches, he had only a few hours of a fever a week after he was diagnosed.

He drank tonic water and took zinc the minute someone mentioned to him that his body aches might be caused by covid. He also immediately went to get tested and stayed quarantined.

His zinc levels were already pretty high, I think, because he takes it every day.

But a case that didn't end in tragedy.

I think the reason why the world is obsessed with race is the growing inequality between rich and poor all over the world.

Many attribute this to racism but it's not. People of colour may be suffering, but so are many poor white people.

ROFL!! #6's future ex-wife is now virtue-signaling that she doesn't think it's 'appropriate' to have a big baby shower during a pandemic and therefore she righteously 'doesn't want one'.

Hahahahaha! So predictable. Mrs. #6 hasn't received any offers for her and her Fake Sprog #2 to be feted with lavish goodie bags Oscars style by all of her celebrity friends . . (crickets, crickets) nor of course will the Duchess of Cambridge be splashing out for her impeding as-yet-to-be-verified 'niece'. So if she can't get any attention for what she wants, she will try to whip of any sort of attention for insisting that she never wanted whatever it was in the first place.

Never mind, dearie . .I'm sure P&G will be dropping off a truckload of complimentaries for Baby outside your gate any day now.

Pardons if someone has posted this already; I am behind in my reading.

Also found on the Interwebs today, a more disturbing tidbit than Harry's ball and chain not getting a lavish Hollywood baby shower for her fake baby . . .Jason Knauf is resigning his post with the Royal Foundation & aide to the Cambridges as of the end of this year, citing relocating out of the UK as the reason. Though he has provided more than 6 months' notice, this still raises troubling questions about the progress of the so-called investigation into bullying claims against Mrs. #6 by Palace staff. Jason is a key witness in the proceedings, as he was in the copyright lawsuit. Mrs. #6 'won' the latter; does this mean that Jason has been pressurized to resign (whether he felt it internally or the pressure has been externally applied) because he was the one who made Her bullying of junior aides a matter of record? The RF is keen to draw a curtain on the whole Sussex drama period but once again it feels like Smeg might be once again skating out of any consequences for her behavior.

Both Wm & no# are descended from Charles I - as Diana had both Charles I's sons, Charles II & James II & VII, in her pedigree, albeit through illegitimate children of both.

Did anyone ask Charles Junior or James if they were `OK' after their dad got his head chopped off, very publicly?

'It's really really sad and their argument is from the paparazzi and everyone else, if you're in a public space it's absolutely fine for us to do."

Rubbish! Diana did take William & his brother to McDonald's in Kensington High Street. In any case, she had, and so had #6, RPOs.

They will never stop. Others will have to orchestrate their downfall. Waiting upon the turn of time and karma is not enough. Look at Ellen who says she's doesn't understand why she's had to go off air, and that as a woman was the target of an organised misogynistic attack. She wouldn't have got her comeuppance had it not been for the long fight the others out up. And yet there is no self-realisation.

It pains me to see the stress visibly etching itself on William's face. His eyes do not belie the pain that man is going through. I see it in today's engagement pictures. Harry is a mercenary.

Hello All,

Well a few weeks ago I became afflicted with covid virus so I've been down and out. And I mean DOWN and OUT. Had to be hospitalized and still not 100%. Covid is a horrid, ghastly disease with some very bizarre side effects. Anyways, no fun at all.

My question for you fine people is this- Do we have to see Harry and Meghan's faces everywhere now?! There are probably 10 active articles about them on the Daily Mail. Talk about desperation. They have definitely decided to do the Kardashian style of blitz pr. Frankly it's irritating. And if you don't think Harry is Level 10 assh*le, just read how he rips his father apart in the interview with Dax Shepherd. He's an ass. A spoilt, intitled, grumpy ass. This red headed idiot knows that his father is suffering and has had a very hard time with the death of Prince Philip and he pretty much raked Charles over the coals.

I am hoping that in one of these blitzkrieg interviews, someone will have some courage to stand up to Harry. No one will stand up to Meghan because she's expecting and will soon have a young infant at home. But Harry, for the love of God, can someone please put this man in his place? He commented on trolls that blast him, well, what do you expect??? The public has the right to react to what has been put forth to them, and frankly, your behavior is beyond abhorrent.

As the days and weeks go by, they just get worse and worse, if that's possible. They've had some failures, yes, but they must also have some momentum because they are EVERYWHERE. It just sets my teeth on edge and it's interupting my healing darnit!

That’s a tad melodramatic, but I really don’t think they will. What other nations think of our royal family really has little to no effect what the Brits think and feel about the royal family. It’s truly only down to Britain and I think that although some may think a President and Prime Minister maybe preferable, the vast majority still don’t. The Duo can whine and whinge all they like...many overhere are just ignoring them and can see right through them. If they gain any traction or attention in America it’s not affecting the royals who just carry on regardless. ;o)

Thank you so much. I am definitely pacing myself. You really don't have a choice. Covid likes to hang onto your ankle with every inch of it's disgusting life. Ugh. I really never dreamed it was that bad. So many people don't get that sick, but I sure did.

Yes it does seem like Harry has the popularity and Meghan is considered disliked and generally panned. That definitely comes across. I think there's a curiousity about the Royal Family, Diana, so there is some interest in hearing their 'story' (and I do mean story) which ushers in Harry. I think it's clear that Meghan isn't floating this ship so she's now doing her Mother Earth bit with the pregnancy, childcare. That ever so slight bit of goodwill can't last forever.

When is H starting his job for God's sakes too?
Christine said…
Raspberry Ruffle- I hope your right. In general Americans like gossip, chewing the fat as it were, but we do tire of it. Their small amount of American goodwill has an end date to it.
Christine said…
As far as Americans go, right now is a VERY bad time for any form of woke agenda. Even liberals here have tired of Hollywood libs lecturing, telling the plebs how to feel, vote, causes to support. As I said above though, Americans can be curious though and keep feeding something for awhile even if they really don't like it. I gleaned some hope by hearing that the VaxLive ratings where horrible and that anything that Meghan is supposed to appear in, besides the Oprah interview, appears to be generally panned.

But again, there is curiousity about the Royal Family and Harry must have realized he needs to fan the flames to keep some nickles coming in. As far as the relationship status and how it sits, If I were to guess, I think Harry and Charles do not speak at all. They apparently had some conversations during Harry's time in the UK, but the relationship appears to be severed. I think MAYBE Will gives him a "What's up, how's Archie?" text here and there but that relationship is also dead. And yet, Harry cannot shut his stupid mouth and will continue to beat the dead horse for any and all who show the slightest interest.
So by saying they moved to LA to "break the cycle", he's intimating the cycle continues for William and the 3 little Cambridges, that they are being mistreated and raised badly. Usually "break the cycle" is used in association with abuse, so it really pisses me off to hear this ponce use that term, and indirectly associate his grandmother, Philip, Charles, William, and Kate with potential abuse of children. And his mother was so, so far from being a saint. Heaven help me.

Their titles need to be removed yesterday. They hate the family so much? Then ditching the titles should be an easy thing for those two. He's never had to worry about a single thing in his life. Take their titles, take all their money, take all their food and clothing, put them in a tent with nothing else to their name and let's see what he says then. He's insulting every single person out there who has had a hard time and has had to pull themselves up, or actually overcome childhood abuse and neglect situations. He's had everything given to him on a silver platter, including an Eton education. He keeps putting his foot in it and exposing himself for what he really is. He's always been like this. No wonder they needed a FT employee to cover for him.

Good grief. I feel really sorry and sad for Prince Charles that this is one of his sons, that he loves who is saying publicly that his father and grandmother, really all of them caused him pain.

What is intriguing is how he talks of how he's wanted to back off a bit, which it sounds like his family was ok with, trying to come up with some things so he could but he didn't want to until it was all proposed by his wife. And how she proposed it made it look nothing like they did.

Or that they make it sound like he never got any therapy before his wife suggested (contrary to his brother's suggestion and others in his past).

Im still confused that he wanted out in his 20s. Since Princess Anne's kids are not considered "royal" as with Prince Andrews, I am more than sure he would have been allowed to live a different life but im guessing the money and the access to drugs and alcohol in his 20s were more of a lure. He didnt seem to do a lot of royal appointments at the time, visiting places and talking to people. he was ruderless like a lot of kids of wealthy parents. Is that what he is referring too - he was told he couldnt act like an a$$hole and needed to clean up his lifestyle and felt it was trapping him? because dude, you were on you way to complete self destruction. While we're thinking about boycotting Proctor & Gamble I really wish the non-woke press would institute a self-denying ordinance so that they stop covering the Sussexes for e.g. a month. Even a week would be something. That's the only thing that would get through to M apart from halting the gravy train.

I thought it was ironic that the Guardian has a prominent article today about the end of Ellen because people no longer wish to be lectured by hypocritical celebrities, yet they still support M.

When I get this angry with H I remind myself that time will take care of him and his choice to follow this path will also be his punishment. I can't imagine anything more dreary than endlessly revisiting his 'grief and trauma'. He has to do it for the rest of his life as it's the only thing he has to sell.

I'd far rather be visiting people from all walks of life, all over the country, like William and Kate. Their children are not remotely 'genetically traumatised' because their father had the sense to marry a capable, well-adjusted woman, who wants those she loves to be happy rather than kept in an emotional hell of her own making.

@Portcitygirl, here is a website. It has the early treatment for outpatient/preventative doses. For inpatient doses, there is a place on the side to click. You can get human ivermectin prescribed; it is very inexpensive *if* your physician will prescribe it. There are conditions that it is contraindicated for and the information about that is available on the internet.

Those of us whose physicians will not prescribe take the cattle dose of 1 ml per 110 lbs. as early treatment. I take (all over the counter) quercetin, zinc, vitamin D3, and N-acetyl Cysteine (which breaks up blood clots and thick mucus) as a preventative.

I saw Dr. John Campbell reporting that the Indian state of Goa is recommending that *every* adult above the age of 18 regardless of symptoms take 12 mg of ivermectin for 5 days to halt/slow the spread.

Thank you so much. I am definitely pacing myself. You really don't have a choice. Covid likes to hang onto your ankle with every inch of it's disgusting life. Ugh. I really never dreamed it was that bad. So many people don't get that sick, but I sure did.

It is a curious disease, isn't it? Some people show no symptoms; some people die, and we don't know why. I had a friend that became ill; I told him that when his oxygen sats started falling, to get to the hospital immediately because it can deteriorate so quickly. He ended up as a guest in the ICU for a few days. He did not bounce back quickly.
@christine,

I'm so, so sorry that you had COVID. I had it, too, and it was the worst thing I've ever gone through. The body pain was so intense that I couldn't move, let alone walk.

Please take it very, very easy. Just when you think you've recovered enough to do small tasks, it wallops you again. And again.

May I ask what major symptoms you had?

The Guardian is now carrying a story about H's latest moanathon:

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/may/13/prince-harry-royal-family-like-being-in-the-truman-show

While of course it doesn't explicitly criticise him in any way, the article's closing paragraph is another example of a slight shift away from the Sussexes among those who would prefer to defend them:

As the podcast was released, it emerged that Madame Tussauds had moved waxwork models of Harry and Meghan away from other members of the House of Windsor and placed them in the attraction’s Hollywood zone among waxworks of other celebrities.

Maybe one day the penny will drop completely for the wokerati. I'm not holding my breath though.
Maneki - she trotted out the old one about being too light for black parts and too dark for white ones.

I'd first heard that years ago - she must have lifted it from someone else.

------------------

Mental health - I wonder just how much damage they have done to the mental health of the nation and whether they would do anything about if if they knew?

Why ever do I ask - they don't GaF.

Prince Harry has joined the chorus of backlash against Joe Rogan’s remarks about the coronavirus vaccine, arguing that the influential podcast star should have chosen his words more carefully.

Appearing on Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s Armchair Expert podcast on Thursday, the Duke of Sussex said: “The issue is in today’s world with misinformation endemic, you’ve got to be careful about what comes out of your mouth.”

Clueless Harry lectures us on being careful about what comes out of your mouth is rich. The comments from the Dateline article are numerous, nearly 100% negative and a good indication of Harry's celebrity and status in the US. These are a few of my favorites:

"I fear we have inherited an ass clown from the UK and we didn’t need another one."

"Skip back across the pond, loser. We have Freedom of Speech here. Kings and the like are frowned upon here."

"Harry is a shallow, silver spoon sucking nitwit. Rogan may have been way out of line, but the fact that anyone pays the slightest attention to this pathetic man and his grasping wife is another sign that we live in a sewer."

"Nothing Prince Harry says could ever scorch."

"Harry is an idiot and should stay out of it."

M must have convinced H that he can make millions for the rest of his life, without his father riding to the rescue. Big mistake. M must be a good way through the money H has already. By the end of this year it will be clear to every company/organisation that the Sussexes just cannot deliver original, income-generating content or services.

@Swamp Woman

So, anybody hear more about the rumor that yak-haired wife is staying in the San Ysidro Ranch Hotel and yak-haired wife's husband isn't?

I hadn't heard that YHW was holed up in that latest hotel, but I'll do the rumor mill one better with my theory. I am increasingly convinced that, while there may have been some hot-n-heavy booty callin' circa 2016 from Toronto to London and vice-versa (or, just as likely, possibly a bit more from my perspective, that Haz hung out with Mugs, not to sample her lady bits at all but because she knew people (aka Markus Anderson, et al) who were well-placed to get him boutique drugs and boutique sexual companionship of a decidedly non-hetero, non-vanilla kind.

Perhaps Yak Head and Haz have never even Done the Nasty, much less lived together in the usual sense at any point in their relationship, then or now. This is why all their activities and where they are living and who is working for them has always had to be so clandestine, and why they had to stay away from the RF and not mingle in traditional family events. They were, and are, living entirely apart in a show marriage that has been concocted as a business opportunity/lavender arrangement for them both, perhaps. If Mugsy is the kind of (for sale) woman that we have been suspecting her of, well, large numbers of gals for hire are dedicated lesbians, or asexual. Using men for their wallets has little to do with genuine sexual preferences.

This is why all of their appearances together or 'with Archie' are so stiff and staged and weird. All this stuff has to be arranged via flunkies if they don't actually live together. I think Smeg pitched JCMH a vision of their lives as global megastars in America where he'd be free to do whatever he wanted, be insanely rich and eclipse William . .the 'family man' stuff is just for show. Crank out a couple of 'kids', to milk maximum merching $$$ and pity pounds from teary-eyed Grandpa Charles and JH's grandmother . . but they are not in a real marriage and never have been. Oh, they are legally married; we all saw it happen . . but I do not believe they have ever lived as man and wife and have anything approaching a normal relationship on any level. They both hired each other to play spouses for financial gain. She got to be a Duchess and Princess of the United Kingdom and H gets automatic residency status in America and an entre into Hollywood.

That's why all their pictures of 'their son' are colossal FUs to the world. They are laughing that anyone anywhere thinks any of this is real.
@Pantsface,

Re Harry. Throwing his family under a bus and playing the victim are the only tricks he has. He has a massive chip on his shoulder, he’s a horrible narcissistic man and I’m glad I don’t personally know him! All he does is re-work the narrative; he’s a one trick pony.

I also wish that more journalists would call them both out. I’m sure it will all come crashing down at some point...I’ll do a Lady C and just laugh at their stupid antics for now, I just can’t be bothered with them, waste of time.

She worked for herself, and her partner drove a cab, and kept an eye on her. For the wife, relationships are transactional, and she's done her finest acting work in her relationships, not on any tv program.

Harry's comments on the podcast are certainly indicative of the tantrum he's continuing to throw. He must be about 8 to 12 years old emotionally. I predict Harry's going to continue with the public tantrums ad nauseam until the day when suddenly, the wife has dumped his sorry a$$, and moved on to someone new.

Well there’s more than a few things wrong with the Harry Dax interview.
Harry blames white rich guys for misinformation, in which Dax has to quickly point out the both of them are white guys and change the subject. During this diatribe Harry tries to sound educated and elite about Google Advertising, and it occurs to me that he has no idea what he is talking about, but more than this - it occurs to me Harry and Meghan are ANGRY they (and other celebs) are in the pay-to-play world that is Google. It’s very expensive to be an influencer. It is not free floating riches with YouTube stars. You need millions of views to break a 100k per year income, high millions....further, you need to pay Google a lot of money on ads. It occurs to me they are very angry Celeb life is no longer Oprah/90s/People mag playbook with freebies and caviar.

Harry starts saying Dax was only interested in Harry’s Vegas partying to excuse or feel better about Dax’ own behavior. Dax agrees and amplifies (the best way to deal with a troll imo).

Harry claims Meghan had him get therapy. - Ok and why couldn’t Meghan get therapy?

Harry bashes Joe Rogan. Basically, this is down to Harry and Meghan’s jealously of Rogans hard won success that took him over 10 years of full time YouTubing to reach. Notice they only bash people who are more successful than themselves. I could care less about Joe Rogan’s opinion. He never claimed to be anything other than a comedian and male-led talk show where he opens drinks and smokes during his chats.

Everyone is getting back to real life, and no one will be interested in ‘Prince had mental health struggles’. People are spending money like crazy right now, and on vacation with friends and family.

Hi there all you lovely Nutties.

I just love Hikari’s theory (May14@12.41am) because it definitely holds water and explains a lot about Yackety-yak and Yakhead’s relationship. FWIW, (and why not let our imagination run riot since we can do nowt else) WHAT IF :

Marcus Anderson, or whatever his real name is, were PA’s illegitimate son with a mega chip on his shoulder due to RF’s denial of his existence.
He forms a cunning plan to avenge his mommy and himself and gets Yakhead into position by the shifty means we all suspect.
Next chapter a visit to a “medical bank” for a “ deposit” to be used with Yakhead's previous donation(s).
Female “ host” - be it Y or another - confirms success.
“ Is it mine?”
Child born and given comic- strip name for finger-up value.
Child really is HM’s great-grandchild even if through the back door. (Oops, shouldn't have said that.) I don't like the idea of HM lying intentionally.
Child lives hiding away with Marcus and his companion(s) so doesn't know Yakhead or feel happy in female company perhaps.
Yackety-yak quite happy to be supplied with his favourite amusements and to be brought out of his cupboard now and then, dusted down and to do what he was brought up to do.

As I said, FWIW, probably peanuts.

Whether H's pain is 'genetic' or generational, has he thought how this could/will affect Archie, assuming he is with them? If he's that concerned, then surely Archie will suffer. Unless that wife has convinced him that she can break this vicious circle.
@Caniche

Hi! I floated something along those lines quite a while ago but nobody thought much of the idea then. I'm glad it's occurred to you too - now I feel slightly less bonkers for thinking it. Perhaps we should revisit the thought?

Harry Markle was suspicious of MA from the start - he was with Mrs6 and Doria in the photo that H-Markle captioned `Is Harry being threatened?' H-M was sure Soho House held the key.

Means? Motive? Opportunity? Possibly yes to all three.

MA appears to have been born in the right place at the right time for this hypothesis - it may be pure coincidence that `Anderson' means `son of Andrew'

Meanwhile, here's an article with a recent photo - food for thought

I wish the press would headline the obvious today. That William is the one who has 'broken the circle'. H has merely repeated his mother's mistakes and enlarged upon them in the way she surely would have done if she had lived.

Also, scroll down a little and take a look at H's eyes in the close-up provided here:

https://www.news.com.au/entertainment/celebrity-life/royals/harrys-latest-bombshell-highlights-queens-problem-regarding-his-royal-title/news-story/22f4ad3263e74f61d0fbb8c554f5ebdb

His eyes have become windows into a void. Just like M's. He was never a nice person but she has enabled him to explore even greater depths of selfishness and cruelty and his eyes have become frightening. Reminds me of the line in The Picture of Dorian Gray: Sin is a thing that writes itself across a man's face. It cannot be concealed. In the 21st century we shy away from the word 'sin' but that doesn't change the morality or rather immorality of someone who traduces his entire family in the eyes of the world.

Just think, it's no time at all since his grandmother lost her husband. Since his father lost his father. When I lost someone I deeply loved it was easier in a way than when I lost someone else in my family I had always found difficult. The deeply loved one is always with me. A simple comfort. The other is a grief burdened with lost opportunities and complexities. Far more exhausting. I know Prince Charles is said to have achieved a new understanding with his father at the end but he must surely be going through the mill. And now his son twists the knife. Before the world.

What happens about the Diana statue now? William's forbearance cannot be infinite. No one should expect that from him.

And I agree. There are good therapists including those that will tell you you are done with therapy (does that happen often 😉) and there are those that can make you feel worse about your life than before you started. Harry prob has one that is delving deep to get the secrets of the BRF either for cocktail talk (wink wink I have a privileged client his father brings a gold plated toilet seat wherever he goes) or records them and shock they are stolen in a phishing scam and suddenly show up publicly or as blackmail. Sorry I’m a bit extra cynical this morning but with these two the turns would be the makings of a mini series. So apparently Williams brother was on the podcast today as an expert. 🙄

This is from a private group on fb so not giving the name of the poster: "For anyone unfamiliar with armchair expert as a show...their Thursday episodes are “experts on expert” where they invite people on with specialties in all kinds of fields, so Harry was on as a mental health advocate expert! That’s the framing of the conversation and it was a great episode"

This is another comment on that same post from a different person:

"I was fascinated by the debrief immediately after the interview where Dax and Monica talked about how they worked with Harry’s people to intentionally move the time to release the episode to later so the British press wouldn’t have the first scoop on it and immediately flip everything to shit before it hit the American press. And that they forewarned Dax and Monica that they should prepare for the onslaught of hate and lies and mischaracterizations that will inevitably come out. The British tabloids are just ruthless, I wonder how bad it’s going to be spun against Harry (and Meghan) this time."

Yeah it wasn't the British press he wanted to avoid, it was his family.

@Ava C - so beautifully put, Harry has brought it upon himself, cruel, vindictive weasel that he is, eagerly repeating his mother's behaviours.

By the time Diana died, I had few illusions about her and her behaviour but when I heard the news of the crash I was deeply shocked at the tragedy of it all. Nevertheless, I was relieved that a potential threat to the stability of the UK had gone.

How very wrong I was.

I wonder if #6 will tell his `kids' that it doesn't matter what they do as long as they don't get found out?

The Sussexes are essentially trying to outrun the bailiffs aren't they? Their reputations are mud in the UK so I agree they're in a race to get their latest - oh God, what can you call what they do for a living? - out in the US first. Yet it's only a matter of time before they're irredeemably tainted in the US too, among all reasonable people.

There is an increasingly exasperated resistance building on both sides of the Atlantic against the wokerati, including those who mindlessly defend the Sussexes. I'm convinced much of that lies behind the Labour Party's recent failure in the polls (I try to avoid politics but I think this is an uncontroversial and highly relevant point). Things have to change. Ordinary people pay their taxes, care for their families and do not deserve to lose their freedom of expression or be lectured by moral vacuums like the Sussexes.

I was interested to read a rave review in the Guardian of Kate Winslet's latest role where she plays an ordinary hard-working woman who has just plain run out of patience. It became the most shared article in what looked like record time. Ignore that she's an A-lister and focus on what that tells us about the times we live in. Also the nearly 20k mainly furious DM comments the last time I looked at that H headline yesterday. You can sum it up with the famous line from the '70s film Network. "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!"
Ava C said, What happens about the Diana statue now? William's forbearance cannot be infinite. No one should expect that from him.

I’ve been thinking about this today. I think a lot of people thought that H wouldn’t turn up to his Grandfather’s funeral, but he did. Can we expect the same about the statue? Due to the fallout, the unveiling has already been rearranged so it’s more of a private occasion.

I want to strongly assume H won’t be welcomed by his family and he’ll be barred.....but I’m not sure and I want to be. William is stronger than Charles, and I cannot imagine anyone being that forbearing (or would want to be seen that way) even with the eyes of the world on you. :o/

@Ava C: Re ordinary people vs the Sussexes

It's amazing how much the Sussexes have increased support for the BRF. Even those who are rabid republicans , exception republic, have alot of sympathy for the human story unfolding.

It demonstrates the genius of the BRF strategy of wedding their narrative to the public and investing in an emotional connection from cradle to grave. The public is rallying around the family because of that emotional connection because they think they know the characters involved and only one, Harry, has a proven record of poor decisions whilst showing a singular lack of remorse and a talent of viciousness born of malice and jealousy.

And Harry as usual doesn't understand it as he's never understood it.

And he over estimates the tolerance of a public deceived as to his true nature now revealed. He assumes because they love his mother and loved that 12yr old boy, they will stand for all his nonsense.

If so, they are stepping up the weapons they are lobbing at the BRF. Must be getting really desperate. Nothing is working as planned.

I really want "100 Psychologists" to sign an open letter to the public that states all the reasons why #6 is a terrible advocate for mental health. I think of the expression "He knows just enough to be dangerous" and that certainly applies here. #6 does not speak with enough knowledge or clarity (genetic or generational?) to be helpful and everything he says conflicts with what he said before or standard mental health views. He is hellbent on hurting/taking revenge on his family and that behavior should not be viewed as acceptable for anyone, but most certainly a person who titled himself a "mental health advocate."

Americans will tire of him eventually, but what damage is he causing to people who are listening to him now?? The only group that can shut him down are the real experts in the field (NOT Oprah) and I hope they speak up soon!

Exactly this. People relate to human and family stories, they see a family being attacked for no good reason. The more H throws his family under a bus, the more public support the royal family gets. H is seen as the complete wastrel, the spoilt brat.

You only need to see the blacklash against the Duo and it’s mounting by the day. Whatever goodwill H had, he’s now completely squandered it. I personally can see no public redemption if he is ever sees a reason to return.

-I still don’t understand it, but it is bonkers.”

It amazes me how he says he got a lot to say about it, then goes on to say he doesn't understand it, seriously questioning his intelligence now, marrying Meghan was questionable enough.

Fredo is only concerned with his own free speech. Him and his wife sat in front of a worldwide audience and told a total of 17 lies, it's only their own "truth" that counts for these two.

They want to be able to shut down any criticism of themselves, they've already done it once in the US when they shut down a less than flattering column on CNN.

They got Piers Morgan fired, personally, for speaking the actual truth about them. When they scream for privacy while doing untold PR stunts, what they're saying is they want secrecy. He's working, is he paying taxes?

I love harry talking no one should want to be a princess its not all tiaras. Dude you are a prince, renounce your title. why would a man talk about people shouldnt want to be a princess shouldnt you say prince or princess but no he focuses on princess the princess talk, that is all the wife.

hmmm my new theory. Maybe oprah is pissed about the back lash and about not getting better dirt (specifics) from harry and his wife. so she "helps" but giving him more exposure to show how stupid and privileged he really is. She is more about taking down men then women anyways. here h (as your wife likes to call you) lets talk about mental health together. the more his mouth moves the more stupid he sounds. and the wife is mostly silent. hmmmm

@Caniche,

I just love Hikari’s theory (May14@12.41am) because it definitely holds water and explains a lot about Yackety-yak and Yakhead’s relationship.

Thank you, and welcome--have you been a longtime lurker? I don't recall seeing your handle before.

In the early days (pre-Bump), I was willing to accept that the Sussex relationship, while rushed and shallow, was undertaken with sincerity, at least on Harry's side. As for Meg, well . . here we had an aging starlet who'd passed her 36th birthday having only achieved a very minor career success, and her sole stock-in-trade, her sex-kitten persona approaching its expiry date. With already two failed marriages behind her and nothing really constituting personal ties anywhere . .not the city she'd been working in for seven years or the hometown/family she'd barely chucked a rock at in a decade, with her job coming to an end in the foreseeable future, she was on the hunt for a wealthy husband. Into her hustling-to-get-beyond-the-fringe of the celeb 'in'group life falls an affable (so we thought) and decidedly available, if none too bright, Prince of the British realm, who had made recent noises about wanting to have a family. If the relationship was opportunistic from her end, it was kind of understandable, considering her limited options. Grace Kelly traded a thriving career in Hollywood for tiaras in Monaco; even though she was an Oscar winner and only 26, that was like 36 is today and she could see the writing on the wall.

Unlike the future Duchess of Sussex, though, Grace committed herself to her new role, persevering through personal unhappiness and bearing three legitimate heirs for the House of Grimaldi. Even when a marriage contract is entered into for more pragmatic reasons than romantic love, the promise of commitment can still be honored and grow into love in time. I really and truly figured that even though the couple barely knew each other and were, at best infatuated/in a sex haze rather than any depth of feeling or understanding that was considered and mature, that Meg would make a better show of Duchessing than she has done. After all, she was an actress! Only much later did we learn just how fantastically bad at acting she is. She really has led a charmed life because how did someone with her cringeworthy non-existent talent for acting even survive an audition, never mind *seven years* on a series? There's Bad Acting . . but then there's Meg's Bad Acting, which surely deserves a toxic category all its own.

We all wanted to believe that Harry had found his One . . and that both of the Sussexes were better people than than they have turned out to be.

H had no intention of giving up his hedonistic party-boy lifestyle and 'settling down' into Dad Domesticity, but pretending that he wanted nothing more in life than to be a nurturing father was good for the PR image and earned him brownie points with women, especially. We've got some images of him goofing around with cute kids, projecting that 'Fun Uncle!' vibe and getting him ink in the press. Rather telling as to his true state of mind/behavior around children that "Fun Uncle! Harry" has never once been pictured with his own niece and nephews, apart from formal Palace sittings and in matter of fact had been banned from William's home due to consistently showing up under the influence.

Earlier on, we all felt sorry for Hazza, since we accepted that he naively had fallen hard for a grifter who was using him and was trapped in an abusive relationship by his love for her. His own father called him 'c*ntstruck'. Charles knows something about that condition himself . . but that explanation does not wash any more. That may be how she initially caught his interest but that is not what binds them together now. Harry is All In. Notice that it is no longer Meg lobbing grenades against the RF.

I feel entirely conned by that cute toothy cheeky little ginger imp that won our hearts with his big brother and his Mum. I don't know if it was destined that that cute little boy wind up like this, but Adult Harry (using the term loosely) is an entirely lost cause and rotten to his self-serving core.

Addressing the rest of your comment in my next post as this was already too long.

Nice to see you back Hikari after your vacation from all this Royal mess.
For those in UK. How green must be your Spring! With the Covid lifting as you go out more and more. Too, my lawn is greening up with the recent rains.

Trad Americans have no hostile thoughts for your Royal family. The spectrum goes from love to like to neutral/ignoring. While zero hatred comes from us. Meanwhile Americans liked Diana, is why M and their LA shrink get #6 to harp on why he is so "mental" ever since she passed. Pr. Charles is also well regarded here, so #6 tries to get traction here by dumping on his ex-funder --formerly known as Bank Of Dad.

Is This the REAL THING THIS TIME? or is this just stringing people along?

Recently there was (yet another) post somewhere out in the world about how they will soon divorce.  And my first thought was: Haven't I heard this before?  which moved quickly to: how many times have I heard this (through the years)? There were a number of questions raised which ... I don't know.  I'm not a lawyer.  One of the points which has been raised is that KC would somehow be shelling out beaucoup money to get her to go "away".  That he has all this money stashed away and can pull it out at a moment's notice.  But does he? He inherited a lot of "stuff" from his mother but ... isn't it a lot of tangible stuff like properties? and with that staff to maintain it and insurance.  Inside said properties is art, antique furniture and other "old stuff" which may be valuable" but ... that kind of thing is subject to the whims and bank accounts of the rarified people who may be interested in it (which is not most of us in terms of bei

A Quiet Interlude

Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

Christmas is Coming

The recent post which does mention that the information is speculative and the response got me thinking. It was the one about having them be present at Christmas but must produce the kids. Interesting thought, isn't it? Would they show?  What would we see?  Would there now be photos from the rota?   We often hear of just some rando meeting of rando strangers.  It's odd, isn't it that random strangers just happen to recognize her/them and they have a whole conversation.  Most recently it was from some stranger who raved in some video (link not supplied in the article) that they met and talked and listened to HW talk about her daughter.  There was the requisite comment about HW of how she is/was so kind).  If people are kind, does the world need strangers to tell us (are we that kind of stupid?) or can we come to that conclusion by seeing their kindness in action?  Service. They seem to always be talking about their kids, parenthood and yet, they never seem to have the kids
