A New Year

So often in life at the start of new year, there is this tendency to focus on what changes will be made in the upcoming year.  So we create this list of what we will start to do and what we aren't going to do any more.  This year is going to be so wonderful and better than the last one.  Or so we plan (giggle - like we really have all that much control over external forces which grind forward like a glacier over our intentions?).

Apparently January 17th is known as Ditch your New Year's resolutions day.  Oh well.  Carry on.

Pivot away from the future:

So I was thinking about the past year in general and how crazy it was for myself, friends and family outside of Nutty life.  Great drama.  From that, I started thinking about what this year has been for the Royal Family.

The first Christmas without Prince Philip.  The great Jubilee the likes of which we won't see again.  The Queen passed.  That was huge and emotional.  And some interestingly phrased announcements, or some omissions(?),  from the Palace.  Plans are in motion for the coronation.  People are moving on.

And then, there was the couple who live (should we say allegedly?) in Montecito.  What changes in their lives?  More people have come and gone. A few more pictures of the kids.  Many, many photos of them out and about, some familiar and others are new.  Lots of things have leaked out while others leapt out in Netflix.  People are starting lists to track the lies - hardly a positive move to make one look good.

The Andrew Wallenstein's Variety article was a tad stunning in some ways.  It came at a time of year  when there is a focus on nice articles which are positive human interest, tug at heart strings and lovely photo ops of how public people are celebrating the holiday season and being doers of charitable deeds.  Instead, he talked of how bored people will be with the pity party it's not my fault, I have awful family members  (and, ours is a love story unlike any other was or will ever be).  And that's a serious roadblock to explain away in any and all future pitches - whether they be Hollywood, tech, political aspirations or a direction we don't know about yet.

On the heels of that, the recent article by Joanna Weiss and then that Spiked piece. Notice how the sugars don't seem to have turned on Variety the way they have the Joanna piece (demanding an apology).  That's interesting because the people who read Variety are people the couple appear to want and need to move up to the next levels or forward after all this.  That won't be an easy to bury on the net.

We are seeing a distinct rip tide of public articles pulling them down and farther from the coastline of positive high end pr of picture perfect attire, sunsets in the background in a wonderful (controlled for public viewing) life.  No longer is it just this or that British paper.  No, the negative articles are seeping into the US markets now.  And that, is trouble my friends.  Right here in Montecito.

Two snippets from the aforementioned Telegraph article:

“Harry details the moment at Sandringham when he asked the late Queen whether he could marry Meghan, writing that she seemed surprised at needing to grant her permission and, after appearing to hesitate, said: ‘I suppose I have to say yes to you.’

He claims the apparently ambiguous answer left him doubting whether she was sincere in saying yes or was joking with him a little”
____________

“In another section of the book, he describes visiting Diana’s grave at Althorp with Meghan. They rowed out together to the island in a lake on which she was laid to rest.

He sensed Meghan wanted time alone at the tomb and left her there. ‘When I returned, she was on her knees with her eyes closed and her palms flat against the stone,” he writes, adding that Meghan had told him she had asked his late mother for “clarity and guidance’. 🤢

In a separate chapter, he says he visited the grave with Prince William on the 20th anniversary of her death and told his brother he believed Diana had “guided” him to Meghan..”
From the DM…

Prince Harry confirms him and Meghan DID announce the Duchess' pregnancy at Princess Eugenie's wedding - and he 'delivered' Lilibet so his was the 'first face she saw'…

That makes for interesting reading! 😂😳 Well…we can make a lot of the fact he helped deliver Lilibet! A play on words I’d say…. he picked her up from the woman who gave birth to her and took her home…too much laughing gas has muddled his tiny Mole brain cell.

I don’t buy the story….

IMO, these are both perfectly understandable fears, under the circumstances, although I would never describe* as `resplendent'.
Frost bite is one thing…😁 but did Mole actually put that he and his brother were circumcised?! I can’t find it anywhere, but it beggars belief if he did. 😳It’s unusual too, it’s only normally done (in the UK) for medical reasons or for certain religions.

-Retired colonel and Taliban leader join criticism over Harry killing revelations
The duke faces an intense backlash after writing about his time in Afghanistan in his controversial memoir, Spare.

A retired British Army colonel, a senior Taliban leader and a former Defence Secretary are among those criticising the Duke of Sussex over disclosures that he killed 25 people in Afghanistan.

Colonel Tim Collins, known for a pre-battle speech he made in Iraq, said Harry has now turned against his “other family, the military”.

“So, my number is 25. It’s not a number that fills me with satisfaction, but nor does it embarrass me,” he wrote.

But Col Collins criticised Harry for making the disclosure, calling it “a tragic money-making scam”.

He told Forces News on Friday: “Amongst his assertions is a claim that he killed 25 people in Afghanistan.

“That’s not how you behave in the Army; it’s not how we think.”

Col Collins later added: “Harry has now turned against the other family, the military, that once embraced him, having trashed his birth family.”

He also accused Harry of taking a path that is “alien” to those in the UK and the Commonwealth, adding that the duke is “pursuing US identity politics and casting slurs or racism around where none exists”.

“I wonder whose path he has chosen? In the end I see only disappointment and misery in his pursuit of riches he does not need and his rejection of family and comradely love that he badly needs,” he said.

Nothing says 'mentally healthy' like keeping his dead mother's hair next to his bed to help him knock up the wife, am I right?

KCIII and PoW probably gave themselves concussions from the self-inflicted face palms. Holy crap. These are probably the more sane things that he has claimed. Can you even imagine what has been edited out? Unless, of course, these are all Meghan's insertions.

I remember reading last week about increase in security due to coronation. I'm wondering if a copy of the book made way to intelligences and how much is due to the book.

I wonder if his kill count was actually from his video games. Also it does reek of stupidity putting this out there to try and get free security. Is Meghan trying to become a widow? Or is she hoping for that "plane crash" via terrorists?

Thank you for all the Nutties with such laughs, posting items I wouldn't have been able to read and learning so much. Especially as I'm not aging as gracefully as planned.

I expect that in a lot of households, the conversation is something like "Martha! If exercising in pants is good enough for the King, it's good enough for me!"

DAILY MAIL COMMENT: Harry's crass comment that endangers our troops

It is hard to overstate the profound dismay which has greeted the Duke of Sussex’s tell-all memoir.

Even Harry’s most ardent sympathisers would concede that in trashing his brother and disclosing private remarks made by his grieving father at Prince Philip’s funeral, he has managed to insult both his family and the institution to which he owes his gilded existence.

But of all the revelations splashed across 550 pages of rage and self-pity, none threatens to carry more serious ramifications than the prince’s irresponsible boast of killing 25 Taliban fighters during his 20-week tour of Afghanistan in 2012.

Not only was his reference to those he killed as ‘chess pieces’ deeply offensive, his comments are also a shameful betrayal of his former comrades

As Andrew Neil points out in the pages opposite, the prince has broken one of the Armed Forces’ most long-standing omertas: Never brag about your kill count.

Indeed, many of us have loved ones who have fought bravely for their country yet would never dream of discussing something quite so personal as to whether they killed anyone, least of all publicly.

Small wonder, then, that both senior military personnel and veterans have reacted with horror to Harry’s indiscretion.

On top of that, the prince’s comments demonstrate an extraordinary recklessness, especially when you consider how much he understandably stresses the need to protect his family.

By antagonising the extremists, he might have jeopardised not just the safety of himself and those closest to him but also British soldiers who continue to be deployed around the world.

The Taliban certainly wasted no time in capitalising on Harry’s comments yesterday, branding him ‘cruel’ and ‘barbaric’ – words which will send chills through the Sussexes’ private protection team in Montecito.

Doubtless the prince will now renew his calls to be given police protection when he visits this country. But why should he, now that he is a private citizen?

Besides, considering the fallout from these latest bombshells, it would probably be wise for the time being for him to stay well away from these shores altogether.

@DeerAngels I buy my tea from thelondonteamerchant.com The family who owns this business and The London Tea Room are British transplants. The Peach Oolong is available on their website, but is rather pricey @ $32 for 4 ounces! That’s why I guard it with my gun🤨 I save it for days when I need to pamper myself. I love it. I also drink ‘Naughty Vicar’ - mostly for the name. It’s not as good as the peach.

I think you might be right that our boy Harold actually had confirmed kills at his video game console, playing Call of Duty. I still can’t believe that he actually shared that information and it made the final cut on the book. Neither of these two have any sense of propriety. They might have done this in hopes of getting the government to pay for their security, but I’m not sure either of them are smart enough to have pieced that together.

None of us are aging as gracefully as we planned, so don’t worry about that.

Per Yahoo 'News' https://news.yahoo.com/prince-harry-says-kate-middleton-231600342.html

Before their first event together at the Royal Foundation forum in February 2018, Harry detailed one exchange, via Page Six: Kate didn’t exactly give Meghan the warmest reception during the beginning of their working relationship. Meghan had asked to borrow Kate’s lip gloss because she forgot hers, an “American thing,” as Harry described it.

“Kate, taken aback, went into her handbag and reluctantly pulled out a small tube,” Harry continued. “Meg squeezed some onto her finger and applied it to her lips. Kate grimaced.” He believed Meghan, William, Kate, and him “should’ve been able to laugh about [the moment],” but the press “sensed [it was] something bigger.” Harry speculated that Kate was likely “on edge,” understanding that she was now “going to be compared to, and forced to compete with, Meg.” Kate indeed was by tabloids, although she received far more favorable coverage than Meghan by those publications.

That is filthy and definitely NOT* an American thing! I suppose if Meghan says it is an American thing, it must be an American thing. Wake up Harry! Nobody does this except tween girls and women making a power play. What next? Saying that her nose is running, she forgot her handkerchief, and she needs to wipe it on Catherine's sleeve because it is "an American thing"?

*Maybe it is on the floating bordellos. Kate probably threw it away immediately because she knows where those lips have been.

@WBBM, yes, some man was spared having to make small talk with the tedious & preachy wife, but I think she always wanted to be near Mole to control him & prevent him from talking to other women.

The book coverage is getting exhausting, but my take on it is that the book is a big ole TMI nothing burger, which will wind up being a huge own goal for the Hazmats, especially for Mr. Hazmat. Apologies for the metaphor mashup.

Houseplantfan has the video of Megyn Kelly talking to Tom Bower about the book. Bower thinks the duo is dangerous to Britain, the Commonwealth & the RF, & is afraid that the international audience might sympathize with the Hazmats, because they don't have all the info the Brits have seen. I'm not so sure. People are facing hardships in many parts of the world, & lots of them might not take kindly to two privileged nincompoops slagging off their families, royal or not royal. I think that if the two stay married, they might wind up like the D & D of Windsor, wandering around the world, constantly worried about money & asking the RF for handouts. They would be smart not to undermine their last hope of financial support! LOL!

Have a nice evening or whatever time it is for you, Nutties!

I think Harold’s intent was to cause his father embarrassment and to diminish him. Same with the revelation that the King always travels with his childhood Teddy bear. Monarch was impacted by Duke’s attacks in her final months, say sources

The Telegraph article is good but I feel I’ve posted too many so I will just quote this part of it:

It was also revealed the Duke had initially attempted to cancel the publication of the memoir after visiting the late Queen last summer. The team working on Spare were told: "He’s pulled it. He doesn’t want to do it,” The Times reported citing a US publishing source.

The Prince writes affectionately about his grandmother in the memoir, but those who knew her have disclosed that she suffered as a result of the campaign he has waged against his family since moving to California almost three years ago.

One friend of the late Queen said: “She never wanted to deal with confrontation, even going as far back as the start of Prince Andrew’s troubles, and this stuff was shoved in her face on an almost weekly basis.

“It had an impact. She had lost Prince Philip, and then the constant ambushing of the Royal family by a much-loved grandson did take its toll. At that stage in your life and your reign, you just don’t need that on top of everything else.”

Another well-placed source said they had “absolutely” no doubt that the allegations made by the Sussexes affected the late Queen’s health.

The first source questioned how the Prince could possibly achieve the reconciliation he says he wants with his family, adding: “He says he wants a reconciliation then he sticks this enormous machete in their backs.”

The source also said the Duchess of Sussex had said she wanted to be part of a family, “but how are their kids going to be part of a family now? It’s out of the question”.
Rebecca said…
An excerpt from The Times article about Harold wanting to pull the plug on the book:

The Duke of Sussex wanted to cancel the publication of his memoir during his visit to Britain last summer, a US publishing source has claimed.

The team working on Spare, the duke’s memoir, were believed to have been told: “He’s pulled it. He doesn’t want to do it.”

Harry is understood to have had second thoughts about going ahead with the book, for which he was paid a multimillion-pound advance, when he was in the UK for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

Insiders at Penguin Random House speculated that the royal family told him that if the book were published while Queen Elizabeth was alive there would be “no way back”.

“That was such a dark day. Everyone had been working so hard on this project in utmost secrecy — and with the expectation this would turn out to be one of the biggest and most historic books we would ever get to publish.

“And then, just after Harry’s last trip to London, the boss walked in and said: ‘He’s pulled it. He doesn’t want to do it.’ I can’t tell you — it is an enormous and expensive operation getting a book like this ready and everyone involved was devastated.”

Although Harry changed his mind again in favour of publication, his hesitation could shed light on his mixed feelings about writing such a devastating memoir.

The decision not to publish was taken two weeks after the duke and his wife had visited London to attend the jubilee celebrations. Although no definitive reason has ever been given, there were rumours within his publishers at the time that Harry had been given an ultimatum by the palace. “The rumour was that during the visit it was made clear to him that if he published while the Queen was still alive there would be no way back. Obviously that all changed with the monarch’s death in September.” The source also described how the book had to be translated from American English into the British tongue.

“It was extraordinary. A member of the royal family describing everything as ‘awesome’ and using phraseology like: ‘We had gotten ourselves into a difficult situation’ — we had to go through the whole manuscript to make it sound like he was actually English.”
Rebecca said…
Details of the memoir’s fraught production process have also emerged. The duke is said to have signed a $20 million, four-book deal with Penguin Random House in 2021. Early meetings were conducted during the pandemic under the strictest security.

During one Zoom call the young children of a senior publishing executive accidentally walked past his computer screen and a furious Harry demanded that he be removed from the project. “Prince Harry’s whole thing is about control,” the insider said. “He feels he’s never had it — but boy did he demand it with this book.”

The source said that contrary to speculation there were no significant revisions made after the Queen’s death.

“Be in no doubt though, there will be some who read Spare and think he’d better continue cultivating that American accent. For Brits especially, they may feel there is no way back.”

Now people from the publishing side are leaking. It sounds plausible to me. What I find odd is the claim that he was told, at the Jubilee celebrations, that if he published when the Queen was still alive there would be no way back for him. So, he had to wait for her to die before publishing? How callous! He/they have a way back after the numerous attacks on William, and Catherine, in the book?

Can anyone think what happened at the Jubilee to give him second thoughts? Did TBW feel what it was like to be 'out' and have second thoughts and try and stop the book? Or did he have second thoughts for sentimental reasons and TBW persuaded him to 'publish and be damned'? And why no second thoughts after the funeral of Prince Phillip?

Thanks for the American perspective. She got very favourable treatment from the media because so much of her bad and inappropriate behaviour was excused because it was 'American'. A rude bully is a rude bully, either side of the pond is what I always thought.

In his book he has inadvertantly revealed that the family, from day 1, knew she was trouble and was not going to fit in. We can now see how they really tried to make it work and be open-minded. But, besides her narcissism, or perhaps because of it, she has some major character flaws that always made that impossible. One is that she does not know how to distinguish between assertiveness, when appropriate, and rudeness.

I listened to Megyn Kelly interview Tom Bower about Harold’s book (thank you to the Nutty who provided the link). Bower said that one of the reasons William was so incensed with * is because she taunted Kate about William’s rumored affair with Rose Hanbury.
I doubt if chemistry is H’s strong point so my first thought that he might be confusing Laughing gas (N2O) with amyl nitrite, sold in ampules known as `poppers'
.
Looking up `poppers’ in Wikipedia told me more than I wish to know, but this gives you some idea:
`In the late 1970s Time magazine[14] and The Wall Street Journal[15] reported that popper use among gay men began as a way to enhance sexual pleasure, but "quickly spread to avant-garde heterosexuals". A series of interviews conducted in the late 1970s revealed a wide spectrum of users’.

If he really means laughing gas, I’m afraid there are plenty of opportunities to get hold of it in the UK. Apparently `it’s the 4th most common gas’ used in the UK club/rave scene, though I don’t know how far it lags behind other psychoactive substances.

Regarding circumcision of male infants, apparently this was routinely practised among the English middle- and upper-classes in the 1930s, mainly as a hygiene precaution. My own (ahem…) observations on my near-contemporaries bears this out. I don’t know what the situation is now, beyond the fact there are now activists campaigning against it- I don’t know how mixed their motives are. That is, is it a matter for them of what they perceive as cruelty to children or a means to attack certain religious groups?

Nor do I know when epidemiology discovered that cervical cancer occurs at very much lower rates among nuns and Jewish women ( we certainly didn’t know about the Human Papilloma Virus [HPV] then so obviously there was no vaccine to protect females from infection by the most likely suspect.)
Speaking of `confirmed kills', the Sandringham hen harriers have come up again.

Here's a link to an original report:

https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2007/nov/07/monarchy.wildlife

Two hen harriers dead, one prince questioned, no charges
· Police not seeking anyone else over killings
· 'Fact that bodies could not be found is disappointing'

`Not seeking anyone ese over the killing' usually means the police are sure they know who the culprit is but the evidence is not strong enough to stand up in court.

Funnily enough, it gets a mention in the Radio Times entry for a programme on TV this evening, Channel 5, 8.30-930 pm GMT (Universal time?). The prog.is presented by Kate Williams ( yes, the pro-* professor I mentioned earlier) but the review on p40 ends-

`Oh, and the small matter of which member of the Windsor clan shot down two rare birds above the Sandringham estate...' (my emphasis)
I caught a snatch of Classic FM News at 5am. It went like this;

`reporting from Los Angeles... Americans thought at first it was a parody but now they're getting in the popcorn...'

Now I wonder what they were talking about????
@Neutral Observer - Of course, It comes back to me now!

Didn't * demand to be seated next to H? This was interpreted as meaning she needed to be able to control him and keep him away from other women. They were reported as carrying on their own conversation, clearly excluding the other guests to the point of rudeness. It was regarded as understandable when they were engaged but not once they were married.

I don't want to derail the thread ... but, how do you create a spare like Princess Anne rather than hapless or even Andrew? And what do you do if the spare is as thick as two planks and of weak character?

I do think hapless, like his wife, grew up with parents who were too indulgent and not always present (obviously that was not Diana's fault). But, unlike her, he had a sibling he was close to and many cousins and other family, whom he saw regularly at family gatherings that happened like clockwork. He also had staff and many others to guide and assist him in a public role, his whole life. Invictus Games was a success because of that.

If you think #PrinceHarry's claims in his memoirs are shocking, imagine what he left out! His and #Meghan's cheerleader Omid Scobie says lawyers at the publisher Penguin Random House sent back FORTY ONE pages of questions after Harry's ghostwriter submitted a final draft. #royal

H denying he was `Best Man' -
Perhaps it's just that technicality which emerged at Andrew's wedding in '86, ie the Royals speak of `Supporters' and may have more than one.

@WBBM and Maneki Neko. Thank you for the info on laughing gas/nitrous oxide. My concern/question was his implication that he used laughing gas to “calm his nerves” just before the baby was delivered. I have no idea how this baby was delivered, by courier🤭, at home or in a delivery room, I just thought it was ridiculous that he would use laughing gas in the presence of a medical provider. I envisioned him using it from the port in the wall of the delivery room, likely in full view of at least a nurse.

So much idiocy in the book it’s mind-boggling.

Hawwy is now claiming he wasn’t William’s best man? Oh, Hawwy, none of us peons who weren’t invited to “the evening do” can personally attest that you stood up and gave the best man’s speech… But I would say conservative estimate, at least 200 million televisions all over the world I prove that you are full of bollocks, because they bore witness to the fact that you most certainly stood up with William at his wedding. I took a half day off work to watch, and I saw with my own two eyeballs when you turned to your brother and said “Wait until you see her!” You and your brother were both standing at the top of the aisle in Westminster Abbey at the time. Just double checking a point of fact: the best man does stand next to the bride groom, both in their best outfits generally, yes? You can’t claim that you were captured standing beside William as Catherine approached at the aisle in her wedding dress because you got stalled up there whilst searching for the toilets. Then later, that was you or someone who looked exactly like you waving from the BP balcony while stood next to Pippa Middleton, the maid of honor. Isn’t it customary for the best man to stand next to the maid of honor for photo opportunities such as these? I suppose we could check the wedding registry from the day and see if you did in fact sign it as a witness, note that your signature would be legible.

What are you playing at, you ginger toerag? What is caustic little lying toad you are.

Nitrous oxide is sold in small canisters for use by cooks. It makes whipped cream without the whipping. These little canisters litter public spaces everywhere because people buy them to get high.

They are also sold on the black market because shops will not sell them to minors who don't usually make a lot of pastries and baked goods.

They have a way of omitting details to convey a different meaning and then have plausible deniability.

So, royals do not have a best man, and technically he did not have the role that we would think of as a best man. Just as he did not give a speech at the morning reception but did at the evening reception.

What he put in the memoir is misleading.

@snarkyatherbest

nah. I think it was he was more worried about her attempts to spend every last penny of the monarchy that she could.

Someone mentioned not knowing how to do italics (bold is b, a is a hypertext link)

open tag: < i >
in front of what you want you type without the spaces I have to (otherwise it won't show up)

close tag: < / i >
and at the end of the italics

When you get the message unclosed tag that usually means that there is no / (but I think I once typed a ) instead of > and got that message.

Regarding Harry wanting to back out of the book deal after the Jubilee:

To paraphrase an old saying, Harry was stuck between a Queen and a hard place.

The advance money had probably already been spent by Meghan as soon as the check hit their bank account.

By last summer after the Jubilee, Penguin/Random House had already spent loads of its own money on the ghost writer and paying others of its staff who were already working on the editing, proofreading, marketing, cover photography and everything else that goes into a major book project like this. Penguin/Random House had a signed contract and they held him to it, which is how things work in the adult world of business.

Just as Harry and Meghan reportedly played hardball with the original group of publishers bidding to get a book deal with them, it was time for Penguin/Random House play hardball with Harry and hold him to rude awakening that he signed a contract. A deal is a deal.

I think that 2023 is going to be a bad year for the Sussexes. In addition to Harry’s book, which is going to do cataclysmic damage to their “brand” and personal reputations, Meghan has her own book coming out reportedly in Q4 2023.

If anybody thinks Harry’s book is unloading massive venom on his family, the monarchy, the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, just wait fir Meghan’s book. It will make Harry’s book look like a church pamphlet.

In a way, she likely thinks she has no skin in the game. She will damn well write whatever she wants to write and being a narcissist, she will try to outdo Harry’s book in terms of outrageous lies and attacks. The final product will so poisonous that it will come with a pair of rubber gloves and a toxicity warning label. It will be THAT NASTY. And due to her narcissism, she will not care one bit if there is a negative impact on those around her, including Harry and the alleged children.

She will do what she has always done, which is to call everyone a racist, play the victim, and walk away.

1. Pleasurable 9 minute piece on Sky News Australia “Horrible Harry’s Bizarre Bombshells”
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HvfcldlXLpo&feature=youtu.be

2. The Sky News presenter Daisy Cousens is wearing a smashing piece of clothing with a “Snakes and Ladders” child’s game print fabric. One can read a lot into that: my top interpretation is that Harry is the snake and Meghan is determined to climb the ladder.

I absolutely loved that game as a kid, but Harry and Meghan are not playing a child’s game. They are ruthless, out for blood, unrelenting and thus far unstoppable.

3. One of the first quotes and graphics Daisy Cousens gives is from Andrew Bolt of Herald Sun, a portion of which I’ve cut and pasted here. At this point I must agree with Andrew Bolt: this devastation is all on Harry.

“Royal crisis shaking monarchy all about jealousy

I find the story about Charles saying there was not enough money to support TBW bizarre. Obviously, the claim that it was because she was going to overshadow everyone else comes from their deluded egos.

Surely they expected hapless to get married someday, and it was highly possible that the wife would want to support him as a working royal (like Sophie)?

Were they making huge financial demands on Charles? Remember, she was already making use of royal protection as a girlfriend, and she spent wildly on clothes.

Did his family see the trainwreck ahead and were trying to slow down the rush to get married? (In the book, he says they wanted to get married much quicker than they did.)

Technically, the book was not leaked. It was, and probably still is being, delivered to bookshops and warehouses around the world, with an embargo in place. Simply, no one was to unpack the boxes until publication date. (I have seen a photo of such box and it has a label with clear instructions.) A bookshop in Spain, where there was a festival taking place, ignored the embargo, unpacked the boxes and put the book out for sale. It worked like a charm, and I am sure they sold out their stock within a day or two. English-speaking people were heading to Spain to get a Spanish copy.

Remember, The Guardian got an English copy before the Spanish book went on sale. It seems the Guardian source has a friend at the publishers as this is not the first time he has pipped everyone to the post in getting hold of a copy of a book.

The duo probably crafted publication day to overshadow the royals in some way and to break records. They keep trying but never learn that they cannot control and are lousy at strategizing, in my opinion. Are they delighted with the attention the book is getting, furious that their carefully crafted launch plan did not work, or furious at the criticsm?

I have always thought the book would sell well. Publishing so many translations will boost sales even more. However, will the short-term success be worth the damage they have done to themselves? Even the money won't last long and, although a book can theoretically never stop earning an income, it is not going to stay on the besteller list for long.

How many copies have the publishers printed? Reprints is where the money is to be made. (Traditionally, the first print run carries all the production costs for the book so the big profit margins are in the reprints.)

I would be surprised if the book bombs (fails to sell the almost two million copies to begin to justify the royalties, including all the translations) and it is found in bargain bins within a month or in large piles on the floor of remainder stores (like her book). But I would not be disappointed.

Royals don't typically have a a "best man," rather they have a "supporter." "The best man or best men are officially called supporters," royals expert Marlene Koenig told Town & Country previously.

William broke protocol when he appointed Harry as his best man at his wedding, according to the Guardian. Their father, the Prince of Wales, chose his brothers, Andrew and Edward, to be his supporters when he married Diana at St. Paul's Cathedral in 1981. And Prince Edward chose his brothers Charles and Andrew to be his supporters.

https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/tradition/a13988481/prince-harry-best-man-prince-william/

I suspect that hapless denies he was best man because there is no such tradition in the royal family, although William may have chosen to go against tradition and have his one brother as a best man rather than 'suporters'. From what his friends said, as reported in the Times article, he did not want to give a speech at the reception and begged the two best friends of William to do so. Did he also give a speech in the evening as reported in the media, or was that made up?

I don't know if he explained the background of royal tradition and did not simply say that he was not best man as most people would understand the role. He whined and attacked instead of taking the opportunity to explain royal tradition and how that was changed for his and William's wedding.

Andrew Bolt: Royal crisis shaking the monarchy all about jealousy
Enough of the old, sexist game of blame-the-witch, Prince Harry, not Meghan Markle, is doing the real damage to the royal family.

It’s too easy to blame Meghan Markle more than Prince Harry. She’s the social climber who tells the most outrageous lies.
Did she tell you the one about her son having to be plucked from a burning bedroom? About the Archbishop of Canterbury marrying her twice to Harry?
Prince Harry, in contrast, tends to be the one we excuse.

He’s just weak, we say. He’s dim and damaged from losing his mother so young, and now the poor dope is the victim of a Lady Macbeth who’s magicked him with her sex and cunning.
But enough of this old, sexist game of blame-the-witch. No more excuses for Harry. With his new memoir, Spare, and the two interviews he’s given to promote it, he stands revealed as the chief villain in this disgusting farce.
Nothing can excuse what this mewling, vain, self-centred, poor-me hypocrite is doing to his father, his brother and his country.
He’s full of the vicious resentments and jealousies that explain why many kings in more savage times – from the Ottoman’s Sultan Mehmed III to Britain’s Richard III – thought it safer to kill every relative who might eye off their throne.

I am sorry if this article/link has already been posted:

Prince Harry 'has been written out of King Charles' Coronation and will have no official role in the service if he attends' after he left Prince William 'burning with anger' following release of tell-all memoir

Prince Harry has been written out of King Charles' Coronation script, it was claimed today, as royal insiders said Prince William is 'burning with anger' amid the bombshell revelations in the Duke of Sussex's memoirs.

In his new tell-all autobiography Spare, Harry made a series of sensational claims about his brother and father, describing the Prince of Wales as his 'arch-nemisis' and accusing the King of being worried he would be 'overshadowed' by Meghan's Hollywood star power.

The Royal Family has thus far remained silent on the matter, refusing to respond to the Duke's incendiary anecdotes, but the Sunday Times today said a royal source claimed Harry has been omitted from the proceedings of King Charles' upcoming Coronation in May.

'Prince Harry has been written out of the script for the Coronation, with no official role in the service if he attends. Breaking with tradition, Charles will scrap royal dukes kneeling and paying homage to the monarch. Only William will perform that role,' the paper's Royal Editor tweeted.

'As things stand, there is no role for Harry in the service,' a royal source reportedly declared.

MailOnline has approached Buckingham Palace and the Duke of Sussex's representatives for comment.

Meanwhile, friends of William told the Sunday Times that the heir is 'burning with anger' but is also 'anxious and sad' over Harry's comments, which one friend described as 'cowardly'.

'[William] won't retaliate, he never would, because he's dignified and unbelievably loyal,' one friend said.

'It's cruel, cowardly and so sad for William to keep taking the punches. He's keeping quiet for the good of his family and the country.' Another said: 'He's anxious and he's sad - he's concentrating on his wife and his children... He's handling it so well on the outside, inside he's burning,' before one other associate chipped in: 'He's not going to roll over.

Spare revealed the brothers share a complex relationship, with Harry, 38, describing William, 40, as both his 'beloved brother' but also his 'arch-nemisis'.
CatEyes said…
continued...

The Duke kept nothing back, laying bare his bitter frustrations over his role as the 'spare' to William, who is the heir to the throne.

[Later in the article this is revealed]

Harry was officially considered his brother's best man at the nuptial and even travelled with his father and future King to Westminster Abbey in a Bentley that day.

But in 'Spare' the Duke declares the best man stunt was all for show and his brother's friends, James Meade and Thomas Van Straubenzee, gave the traditional speech at the reception.

King Charles has been spared the flogging that befell William in Harry's autobiography.

But in one bombshell excerpt from 'Spare', Harry claimed his father said that Meghan was not welcome at Balmoral on the day the Queen died.

The Duke wrote that his father instructed him not to bring his wife to visit the dying Queen Elizabeth II, citing 'nonsensical and disrespectful' reasons.

Royal sources meanwhile have claimed the Royal Family are 'completely exhausted' with the 'stream of misinformation' from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex ahead of Harry's hotly anticipated interview with Tom Bradby on Sunday evening.

A royal insider told the Mirror: 'It all feels very repetitive. Harry's constant sniping is rather draining and he knows full well it is highly unlikely they will engage in a tit-for-tat battle of words.'

Another source added that the Duke's claim that his family refused to reconcile with him was 'unadulterated nonsense.'

Buckingham Palace has refused to comment on the trailer for Bradby's interview which was filmed at a hired ranch in Montecito.

@Rebecca, re: your comment at !2:47 AM, there are rumors elsewhere that Jay Moehringer left the project, but is bound by NDAs from commenting. There is speculation that he's likely furious that his reputation will be damaged by such a poorly written book. (FWIW, I think Maggot dictated the whole thing to some poor soul or souls.)Below are two links that will hopefully take Nutties to posts of the rumors,

https://the-cat-with-the-emerald-tiara-1.tumblr.com/post/705806821740462080/submission

https://www.instagram.com/marklenews1/?hl=en

Can you imagine the tripe Maggot will come up with if she writes her own book? It will be a cross between a George Martin GOT fantasy & tweener mean girl literature written by a dimwit. I pity the poor souls who might have to review it.

Moehringer's book with Andre Agassi is apparently very good, but then Andre was a world class athlete, who managed to survive his demanding father, build a great career & have a long lasting marriage to another tennis great, Steffi Graf. It's like comparing a steak to pink slime. That goes for the wives as well as the husbands.
A couple of comforting thoughts:

Think of how many people who know what's really been going on, but have kept quiet, may now be prepared to speak up - friends, servants, actors, drivers... he list goes on.

They've shown the world what they're really like - and many of the cultures that might have accepted the r-ce allegations have profound regard for the elderly, whether they are related or not. The ancestors are also respected and privileged school kids who regard their ancestral links as meaningless must seem the lowest of the low.

On the subject of respect or otherwise, the quotation that Cat Eyes has given us, namely:

`The Duke wrote that his father instructed him not to bring his wife to visit the dying Queen Elizabeth II, citing 'nonsensical and disrespectful' reasons.'

is surely written by a narcissist, even if we don't know which one. In my experience they attach a high value to themselves being respected, while trampling over others, attempting to sabotage their events and claiming all glory for themselves.

New info on what happened after Philip's funeral...

Prince William 'lunged at Prince Harry and grabbed his shirt twice' and used secret code phrase about Diana in row over Oprah Winfrey interview after in front of Charles after Philip's funeral

Prince Harry claims his brother 'lunged' at him and 'grabbed his shirt twice' in front of their father during a row over his interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Harry, in his bombshell memoir, details how Prince William was 'shouting' and 'really steaming' when he grasped at him during the dispute in front of then-Prince Charles following the funeral of their grandfather, Prince Philip.

William is said to have then used a secret code phrase about Princess Diana and embraced Harry in a hug, telling him: 'I love you' and 'I just want you to be happy.'

Details of the row emerged just days after it was revealed that Harry claims in his book that a 'piping hot' William once injured him by pushing him onto a dog bowl on the kitchen floor of his cottage home in the grounds of Kensington Palace in 2019.
In his new autobiography 'Spare', the Duke of Sussex, 38, writes how his brother got heated during a half-hour walk near Frogmore Cottage following Philip's funeral on April 17, 2021.

Harry, William and Charles were reportedly discussing the interview he and Meghan Markle gave to Oprah the month before.

Harry claims was trying to address bullying allegations made against Meghan, but his father and brother 'weren't listening.'

The California-based royal went on to allege that William was 'really steaming' and grasped at him as he tried to walk away.

'I waved a hand, disgusted, but he lunged, grabbed my shirt. "Listen to me, Harold,"' Harry wrote in his book, according to The Sun.

'I pulled away, refused to meet his gaze. He forced me to look into his eyes. "Listen to me, Harold, listen! I love you, Harold! I want you to be happy."'

Harry claims he replied: 'I love you too…but your stubbornness is extraordinary!'

The Duke reportedly tried to pull away, but William allegedly 'grabbed him again' and 'twisted him' so the pair could maintain eye contact.

William then evoked the brother's so-called 'secret code' and swore on Princess Diana's life that his intentions were genuine, Harry penned.

He writes that William said: 'Harold, you must listen to me! I just want you to be happy, Harold. I swear I swear on Mummy's life.' Harry claims his 'voice broke' and he 'softly' told William: 'I really don't think you do.'

The elder brother then allegedly hugged Harry and said: 'I love you'.
Harry continued: 'He stopped. I stopped. Pa stopped. He'd gone there.

'He'd used the secret code, the universal password. Ever since we were boys those three words were to be used only in times of extreme crisis.' The Duke claimed his brother 'wasn't quite ready to accept defeat' and claimed to be 'properly sick and ill' over the tensions between the pair. William allegedly reiterated: 'I swear to you now on Mummy's life that I just want you to be happy'.

Harry claims his 'voice broke' and he 'softly' told William: 'I really don't think you do.'
The elder brother then allegedly hugged Harry and said: 'I love you'. The latest allegation comes after just days after a leaked extract of the upcoming memoir revealed that Harry alleged William injured him by pushing him onto a dog bowl.

Harry alleged that he fought with his brother at Nottingham Cottage in early 2019 during a conversation about their relationship, Harry's rows with the press and Meghan.

The Duke of Sussex claims that William then grabbed him by the collar, ripped his necklace then pushed him over in the kitchen, causing him to land on a dog bowl that shattered and injured his back.

Harry and Meghan lived in the London home - dubbed 'Nott Cott' - set within the grounds of Kensington Palace, from 2016 before they moved to Frogmore Cottage in the Windsor estate in April 2019. In their explosive Netflix series Harry & Meghan, the couple described the home as 'so small', with clips from the documentary showing cobbled walkways and shrubs sprouting in the borders.

Harry said in an interview for the series: 'The whole thing is on a slight lean, [with] really low ceilings. So I don't know who was there before but they must have been very short.'Meghan laughed, revealing Harry would 'hit his head constantly because he is so tall'.

Clips also showed Harry and Meghan doing DIY, the Duke varnishing a summer house and Meghan gardening. The Duchess of Sussex said: 'It was a time in our lives that people probably couldn't believe what was going on behind the scenes.' Another snap with a homely feels shows Harry eating chicken and cuddling up with Meghan's dog Guy on a cream sofa. Oprah was among the guests who came to visit the Sussexes at the cottage.

Think of how many people who know what's really been going on, but have kept quiet, may now be prepared to speak up - friends, servants, actors, drivers... he list goes on.

These 3 paragraphs from the Times really jumped out at me:

Harry’s disloyalty in spilling the beans has staggered lifelong friends of the brothers, who thought they would always have each other’s backs, no matter how distant they grew. While fisticuffs in the Nottingham Cottage kitchen in 2019 have long been known about in their tight-knit group, nobody thought Harry would go there. Why? Because of how much “shit” on Harry friends and family have kept under wraps for years, much of which has so far not emerged in the book’s leaked extracts.

“I don’t know how you can do that to your brother, even if you don’t like or get on with him any more,” says a friend of the royal family. “William was always there to pick up the pieces for Harry, he was his mum [after Diana]. There’s so much stuff over the years that Harry has rung friends up about and said, ‘throw away that photo, promise you won’t speak about this’. You could have a f***ing field day with shit on Harry. So could William, who (in comparison) is as clean as a whistle.I can’t believe he’d stoop so low. It’s outrageously disloyal.”

Another close friend of the brothers says: “It’s strategically not clever. Harry is good at getting his narrative out there but we know so much, we’ve cleaned up so many messes over the years, there is so much we could say.”Several friends of Harry, once loyal to him, say they are considering whether to go on the record to debunk some of his claims as “bollocks” and drop counter-bombshells of their own. “Loyalty works both ways,” warns one.

Blind Item #8
The alliterate one is tired of borrowing jets from friends and is shopping for her very own.

—————————————-
My guess is that nobody wants to let her use their private jets anymore. As a narcissist who is full of entitlement and grandiosity, she and Harry probably do not ever even offer pony up any money to contribute to the cost of the flights they have been bumming from others.

If this CDAN blind is true, then Harry’s wife will surely get herself and Harry in deep financial trouble. I’ve worked for two companies tha both had at least two private jets. The cost to own a jet is incredibly high, even if you buy an older used jet.

Harry’s wife obviously wants to join the “club” of private jet owners, but I doubt she’ll be able to afford it, even of she runs it through Archewell.

But to join that exclusive club, you need a LOT of money, which I don’t think will be rolling in to the after they complete their obligations yo their current contracts.

I think the interest in being associated with them will fall off a cliff due to the backlash reaction to Harry’s book and the Netflix docuseries while the interest and popularity of Charles, Camilla, William and Kate will soar. And don’t forget, Meghan reportedly has her “memoir” or “maimoir” depending on how you look at it, will be coming out in Q4 2023, most likely spewing enough venom to kill every rattlesnake in Texas as it continues to damage their already tattered brand even more.

As someone in the DM comments said a few weeks ago about the Sussexes: “You cant make a career crapping on your family.”

She won’t have the money to buy a private jet unless they sell everything they own and move in with her dad in Mexico.

Harold has now admitted to the Taliban and every other extremist and terrorist group involved the world that he is not potty trained, he’s hurt (that) his necklace got broken when his brother attempted unsuccessfully to knock some sense into him, that he has a circumcised penis prone to frostbite, that he has engaged in drug use that renders him ineligible for any immigration benefit in the United States (green card and naturalization), that he took home a dead fetus in violation of the law, holds no qualms about breaching the national security of not just the nation in which he holds citizenship and is fifth in line to the throne but also the nation in which he ostensibly holds permanent residency, and his children and wife are citizens. Did I get it all?"

The whole situation defies belief.

@Daily Mail article detailing Harry's Potential Proble with his vias due past to Drug use

Prince Harry could be barred from the US and has put visa 'at risk' after his admission he has taken drugs

Prince Harry could be barred from the US and has put visa 'at risk' after admitting about his illicit drug usage, immigration experts have warned.

The Duke of Sussex, 38, confessed to doing cocaine, smoking cannabis and taking hallucinogenic mushrooms in his upcoming memoir.

Typical applicants would be denied a visa over their history with illegal substances, but US authorities note entry into the country is granted on a 'case-by-case' basis.

It is unclear if Harry, who moved to California with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020, detailed his drug use on his visa application. Immigration experts warn that if he 'lied' about his past, the Duke could have his visa revoked.

In his new autobiography 'Spare', Harry revealed that he first took cocaine on a shooting weekend at age 17. He did a 'few more lines' on other occasions.

The one hard-partier also admitted to hallucinating during a celebrity-filled event in California and smoking cannabis after his first date with Meghan.

Most applicants with a history of drug use would be denied American visas, however immigration decisions are made on a 'case-by-case' basis, The Sunday Times reported.

US immigration rules state an individual's 'current and/or past actions, such as drug or criminal activities . . . may make the applicant ineligible for a visa'.

It is unclear what type of US visa Harry holds, but analysts speculate he either holds a spousal visa - sponsored by his American wife - or a O-1 visa which is given to people with 'extraordinary ability'. If Harry holds an O-1 visa, which is often given to celebrities and athletes, it would have to be renewed after three years.

The Sussexes relocated to California in 2020, meaning his visa could be set to expire this year. His renewal application could be impacted by his newly admitted history with drugs.

Immigration experts, however, note Harry should have been denied residency in the US if he failed to disclose his drug usage during the application process.

Anyone seeking temporary or permanent residency in the US must answer a series of questions about their criminal and drug history during when applying.

'He would have been asked [about drug use]. If he was truthful in his answers, he should have been denied,' Prof Alberto Benítez, director of George Washington University's Immigration Clinic, told The Telegraph.

The professor argued that if Harry did not detail his drug use, he would have been 'perjuring himself on an official US government document'.

He claimed honesty would have been in the Duke's 'best interest' and noted he may have received discretion from immigration officials because of his royal status.

'If he wasn't Prince Harry, if was 'Fred Jones' and he had this kind of a background, he'd have a lot more scrutiny and I could certainly see the green card being denied,' Prof Benitez added.

US State Department officials declined to answer the newspaper's query about whether or not his admission of drug use would 'cause difficulties' with his immigration status.

'Visa records are confidential under US law; therefore, we cannot discuss the details of individual visa cases. We cannot speculate on whether someone may or may not be eligible for a visa,' a spokesperson told the Times.

'Whenever an individual applies for a US visa, a consular officer reviews the facts of the case and determines whether the applicant is eligible for that visa based on US law.'

The spokesperson added: 'All visa applications are adjudicated on a case-by-case basis.'

MailOnline has approached representatives for Harry and the US State Department for comment.

So, he confirms that she was taking freebies, and then giving some to staff as bribes. This is bad. Plant says she has proof that she was merching and made millions from the enterprise, but spent it all on PR.
-----

I hope they get investigated because there’s a lot more than just freebies. The reason I started blogging about the merching and St Lucia five years ago is because I personally knew a company who paid her to wear their product after the relationship was leaked and I also knew a business who comped her during the Caribbean tour.

I can’t reveal those because my contacts still work there, but I also know of a company who paid her to wear merchandise during the Australia tour and they fired most of the staff after they were sold, so I can reveal this one. She was paid $250k to wear a pair of boots during an official event while representing the Queen. Here’s a completely unrelated link mentioning a brand that may or may not have paid these idiots (Harry wore them too!) an insane amount of money for product placement.

https://fashionista.com/2018/10/meghan-markle-wore-muck-waterproof-rubber-boots

The kicker is that it was a US brand hoping the royal seal of approval (notice the name of the boot!) would help them compete with a heritage UK brand (Hunter boots). It didn’t work and no one cared that Markle wore the boots, but they tried.

If you check out the article the boots are just one of four brands mentioned. If she charged each brand $250k that means she made a cool $1M from one official appearance. The tour lasted 16 days and she had multiple clothing changes each day, so she made more than $16M during that tour.

So, yeah, I’m glad he owned up to the freebies and I hope they investigate the shit out of them because there’s a lot more in there.

The account of his encounter with his brother and father after Phillip's funeral is heartbreaking. His brother hugs him, tells him he loves him and wants him to be happy, uses the special oath invoking Mummy, and all the brainwashed idiot can think of is getting back to TBW, like a drug addict. @Midge: Yep! That sounds like Security getting involved.

I had a left-wing friend who alerted me to `reading between the lines' of news reports - for example, when something is mentioned in the brief round-up of breaking news at the start of the bulletin but is not mentioned again, especially when it's something catastrophic.

One evening in June 1982, I got home from work just after 6pm and switched on the radio for the main news of the day. I caught the end of something very serious, presumably from the Falklands, so listened carefully to the end of the bulletin. Not a word about it. Zilch. Crickets.

So I guessed `D notice'.

It turned out to have been the bombing of the Sir Galahad; this report is sobering reading:

To think, this traitor we call `H' was once Captain General of the Royal Marines.

Part of our Constitution involves building the Armed Forces' loyalty to the Crown as represented by the Royal Colonels-in-Chief, rather than directly to Westminster. (It's a subtle but important difference, designed to deter Parliament raising an army against the Crown as happened in the 17th century. Conversely, the Crown can't take on the Government because HMG controls their resources, and makes it difficult for the Forces to stage a coup against either.

Goodness knows what effect this will have.

‘How stupid can you be?’ Harry accused of putting family in danger after claiming 25 kills in Afghanistan

Memoir revelation ‘an absolute nightmare for his security teams’ it is claimed
Jane Dalton

Prince Harry has been accused of putting his family’s safety at risk after saying he killed 25 Taliban fighters in Afghanistan in his autobiography.

Critics said the Duke of Sussex had turned himself into an even higher terrorist target with the details of his involvement in the conflict.

Twitter users in Afghanistan and Pakistan have branded Harry a “murderer” and a “crusader” after extracts from the book ‘Spare’ were leaked ahead of the planned release next week.

In the memoir, Harry says he killed more than two dozen people when he was an Apache helicopter pilot during his second tour of duty in Afghanistan.
He flew on six missions that resulted in “the taking of human lives”, something of which he is “neither proud nor ashamed”, he said.
In the heat of combat, the prince did not think of the 25 as “people” but instead as “chess pieces” taken off the board.

But his comments about the war have raised renewed questions about his security. The prince lost his taxpayer-funded protection when he and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, stepped back from royal duties in 2020.

Andrew Neil wrote on Twitter: “Harry’s claim that he killed 25 Taliban is a nightmare – an absolute nightmare – for his security teams. How stupid can you be?”

Publicist Mark Borkowski said giving away his track record in Afghanistan was disastrous as the prince had put his wife and children at risk.

“He’s put a target on his back and if he’s protecting his family,” Mr Borkowski said on Sky News. “He’s put them in the greatest danger because I don’t believe they’ve got the same level of security he would have enjoyed while he was a member of the royal family.”
And a severely injured war veteran and friend of Prince Harry has told him to stop airing grievances against his family, following the book leaks.
Former commando Ben McBean, who was hailed a hero by the Duke of Sussex after losing an arm and leg in a bomb blast in Afghanistan, wrote on social media: “Love you Prince Harry but you need to shut up! Makes you wonder about the people he’s hanging around with.
“If it was good people somebody by now would have told him to stop.”

Yes, his family will maintain dignified silence (they won't get the drama from the Palace that they want) and staff will probably stay silent and loyal, but there are plenty of friends and other witnesses who will speak.

@Sandie, at 9:5 AM. Wow, so making the fight about Twat was added in the second draft! The Mrs. must have fired the ghost writer & taken over the writing at some point. I can just see her adding that alleged "Don't tell M****n' comment. I can't imagine Prince William actually saying it, he seems much too alpha male for that.

@Maneki Neko, @alianor, I & many others are on the same page about who contributed the less believable, (& more poorly written) material in the book.

@OCGal, thanks for the compliment. In the NYTimes article on ghostwriters that @WBBM linked to, Agassi mentioned that as someone who grew up honing a craft, he appreciated the same accomplishment in others.

Twit & Twat seem to lack all appreciation of others, as well as empathy. (Probably why Twat is such a poor actress.) Twit used to be able to seem warm & genial toward others. What happened to him?

Just 2 examples of the mind-numbing hypocrisy of Twit & Twat:

1. Harry once claimed that his mother was hounded (& perhaps even murdered) because she was seeing 'a man of color,' then boasts of his alleged 25 kills of Muslims in Afghanistan. Weren't they 'of color'?

2. Twat is forever yammering on about women being 'strong,' 'powerful,' etc. She jeers at (bullies) Catherine for her alleged 'baby brain,' & implies that C was weak, but she pled fragility in her alleged 'pregnancies,' even used it to influence the judge in her Daily Mail case. It was always, 'I was so vulnerable, because I was pregnant, boo-hoo-hoo!' Unbelievable.

For the record, giving birth to my kids was just about the happiest thing that ever happened to me. I was as healthy as a horse while pregnant, but my doctors insisted on C-sections. When I got home from the hospital, rapidly changing hormones & exhaustion made me weepy for a short time. I can totally understand why Catherine would be a tad touchy in dealing with Twat. Catherine's pregnancies were much more difficult than most. She couldn't keep anything down. Her slimness after giving birth to her three children must have made Twat rage with jealousy, if she ever really was pregnant. LOL!

Just one more thing, what's with the photos on social media of Twat holding 2 very golden haired young children? What color is their hair, red, brown, blonde? I couldn't have carried my four year old & one year old at the same time, & I had tennis player/swimmer arms at the time. (Not now, sadly!)

The following paragraph reveals the above as ridiculous fiction:

"Under the supposed deal, Meghan Markle would get a lump-sum $50 million payout, generous child support, a magnificent U.S. mansion – and sole ownership of Prince Harry’s British home, Frogmore Cottage. The mom of two would reportedly also be able to keep her coveted royal title while living in America with the children."

But is this TBW trying to manifest a way out of a marriage to a man she no longer wants? Behind closed doors, she has always known about, and tolerated, the swearing, the drugs, the spitefulness, the lazy entitlement, and so on, but now the cover has been blown and the whole world knows ...?

I have long suspected that the mansion is sparsely and poorly furnished, which is what I see from the glimpses we got in the Mockumentary.

As for the children, it is possible that she confines them to a nursery wing for whatever weird reason. The journalist who did The Cut interview went to their house and saw the children in the house, sat on one of the patios (where she did the interview), and at least saw the kitchen area. I suspect that Doria lives in the guesthouse and perhaps the children are sent to be with granny if they have to have work done on the house.

I was reading the digs at HM's three aides during megxit.

It comes off as sour grapes. Had he aides who had been able to find some glimmer of different resolution, then his aides would probably been nicknamed words like Slayer, Avenger and Victory is Mine.

But his team never really understood the rules of life, specifically for the British Royal Family life. Or later, perhaps Hollywood. Or even an ordinary life with everyday type job. So they never really understood the options, why some were off the table or how to manage what wealth/life/resources they did have when they walked away.

That was like bringing a pocket knife to a fencing match with a gold metal Olympian.

He's self-soothing and insecure with Maggot, hence the continual taking of mood altering substances. He's emotionally stuck at age 11 or younger.

@Sandie: Maggot's divorce scenario is just like her "manifestation" of sitting front and center at the Oscars. She will get the bare minimum in a divorce, and she will have to provide incontrovertible proof of children, and their DNA. No one in the BRF is gullible enough to believe there are any children at all. Fergie at least had children; Maggot's got a dog or two.

As for Maggot shopping for a private jet, that's all smoke and mirrors. They can't afford a private jet, and the pilot who must be on retainer at all time to fly it. If Maggot's playing that game, they really are broke and down to the nibs of their money.

On some points, very few, I agree with H. I completely discarded his lines about William. At that point, I understood that he wanted to convey to the audience how he is able to control his inner rage and William is not. Wanting to get the reader to think about whether this man we want as King of the United Kingdom. For me, the book is not aimed at an American audience, but at a British audience.
Their PR tactic was also positive. a) Leak from The Guardian about the Battle of the Dog Bowl and W&C advising he to wear Nazi uniform. The media should cover this extensively. His scheduled interviews with TB and AC would increase the audience with everyone interested in these aspects.Week later, on the 8th, the book would be officially released, and in the meantime other pieces favorable to H
would be leaked.Meanwhile, Omid and H's minions would have already promoted the virtual lynching of PW. And when the book was released and only afterwards, other narratives would gain the public's and media's predilection, but H would already have dragged PW.With hashtags like: william is bully, William is abuser shot on twitter.
Behold, the Spanish fleet appears in favor of the King of England. And the British media and people (rightly so) turned the Taliban killings episode into an episode where they portray H as a complete idiot. I do not believe he did this out of his desire for his RF paid security, but to show how unfair it is that the British people do not agree to pay, for he has given so much of himself to his country and to the British Army, whose rights to wear the uniform and lay wreaths on the Cenotaph have been taken away from him.

I could make other notes, but I'll leave just two;
a) I'm surprised by H's disconnected, childish and frivolous lines. Words like my father looked like an old man, the loss of virginity, the frozen p@@@, the lack of lust for the teacher, William and his bald head. H is shown to be sexist, sexist, idiotic, leading us to believe in a severe lack of mature cognitive functions.
b) the seals singing to MM. MM trying to extract advice from Diana's grave. The psychic medium who communicated with Diana (remember Diana liked that too). Here I began to ask myself if that nameless psychic medium might not be the MM herself who tells H that she has the ability to communicate, speak or even incarnate Diana.

Is this the most ridiculous translation of the title? It has 15 different translations mainly in European countries, so maybe one of those is even better.

This just show how demeaning and disrespectful Mole is…firstly he referred to Angela Kelly’s Father as just a dock worker and now this….

From the DM

Caroline Flack's agent slams Harry for writing about 'tainted' affair

Alex Mullen, long time agent of the TV presenter, who died by suicide in 2020, called the Prince 'absolutely gross' for discussing their brief relationship in Spare

Harry says in his memoir, published officially on Tuesday, that the press described Caroline Flack as his ’bit of rough' after they dated briefly in 2009

Mullen said the Duke of Sussex has brought up again the 'old forgotten slur she had to suffer in full view of the public around the world'

https://mol.im/a/11611521

Mole is beneath contempt and so much more! 😡

From what we know or at least understand to know about Maggot’s past, I think the royal family should’ve let the media print all they knew about her before she and Mole were engaged. Let the truth be free. 🫤
My original comment was garbled!

@WBBM,

What truly amazes me is how the British media thought it was a good idea in the first place to report on the damaging kill count. 😡They should’ve exercised restraint. 🤔

Re the Reddit piece.

Yes, Lady C said both Maggot and her Mother entertained in certain types of establishments (I’m paraphrasing because I can’t remember how she worded it), but she’s alluded to it on more than one occasion. 🫢
"...sole ownership of Prince Harry’s British home, Frogmore Cottage. The mom of two would reportedly also be able to keep her coveted royal title while living in America with the children."

About the title "spare part man". I heard that Harold went so far as to suggest that he was born simply to provide William with a kidney or any other body parts William might require. There's an element of histrionics in that kind of claim. Most people want a family with 2 or more children, and that is why Harry was born. Not to satisfy one of William's non-existent requirements.

Harold reminds me of a narc I knew who was kindly treated by my friend, a physician for depression. My friend gave the narc free of charge some new anti-depressant medication samples which he received from a pharmaceutical rep, and told the narc that he wanted to try this new medication. The narc then turned around and told everyone that she was being treated as a guinea pig, as though the physician was carrying out medical trials on her. Most people who heard the story believed her because they weren't aware of the details, nor of the fact that clinical trials aren't done in this way.

Needless to say, that was the last time my physician friend gave anyone samples of medication to people outside of his office environment.

@Alianor d'aquitaine mentioned the price of He's book, '27,95 e (about 24,65 £).' I checked prices this morning, on amazon.com the book has been reduced from $36.00 to $22.42 (hardcover) and the kindle edition from $36.00 down to $17.99. The audio book is $50.40 but free with audible trial.
On amazon.co.uk, the book is exactly half-price at £14.00, same for the kindle edition and free audio as above.
I don't know how it will sell considering people have found out so much and considering the tone of the book. On the other hand, some people might be curious and buy the book to try and find more gossip. I hope it tanks.

I suppose the pregnant surrogate for Archi ecould have entered the UK quietly and in good time for the birth, then had the child here. There'd have been a proper birth certificate issued which might have enabled H to get the certificate they showed us, which IMO looked like an interim one to cover an adopted child, ie one that doesn't reveal its true origin. The `true' certificate would have been sealed until the child was of age and entitled to know it was adopted, whether or not the parents had revealed it sooner.

On the other hand, we did speculate that the child was conceived & born in the US on a `click & collect' basis and that the `baby shower' visit to NY was for that purpose. After all, she seems to have returned with Amal aboard the Clooney private jet and possibly smuggled the baby in then.

I haven't a clue about Lilibuck's birth.

I'm sure that both kids could have been brought into the UK surreptitiously if they travelled with the birth mother(s) using passports in their birth names/ had their names added to a parent's documents.

NB I don't know what, if anything, really happened, just trying a thought-experiment to guess what might have happened.

Perhaps after all that, there were no babies and if any children came for the Jubilee, they might have been the hirelings who entered the country normally with their parents.

@alianor d'aquitaine: "Spare-part Man" is indeed a hilarious title and an interesting post would be a list of all the titles in countries other than English-speaking translated into English. Indeed, "Spare-part Man" has a ring to it rather like the beginning of blues song.

He is disgusting to call Caroline Flack a "bit of rough". What does he think his wife is, exactly? His wife who is alive and able, all too well, to defend herself. And that description of, what was it, the disabled matron at Eton? That didn't get a lot of posting but I can go find it.

One final thing (I hope) for today. Not sure about the forces, but is he not responsible under the Official Secrets Act not to run his mouth? (Yeah, I know he's not "responsible" in general, but as a category.)

Cat Eyes quoted an article that said: King Charles has been spared the flogging that befell William in Harry's autobiography.

As a child of a dying mother, my brother and I absolutely did not let anybody else in during her last days per her request except for hospice people. As the daughter-in-law of a dying mother-in-law, we absolutely did not have anybody there during the dying process except her pastor and hospice. Disruptive family members that liked to cause drama, absolutely not. We thought it would be disrespectful to have argumentative family members that wanted to weep and wail that, during her life, caused her a lot of grief.

I completely respect King Charles' decision. That woman caused a lot of grief to his parents. There is no way that I would allow her/them in to pollute her last moments. We wouldn't have wanted William to strain his back tossing them down the stairs. If there had been more time, they could have invited all the people that the *itch had bullied to stand guard at the stairwells.

I am glad that he of the frostbitten peepee was not there. If it were my mother (or mother in law), he would have had to stand outside in the rain.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11612407/Prince-Harry-tells-Tom-Bradby-Royal-Family-shown-no-willingness-reconcile.html#comments

Prince Harry tonight astonishingly likens his family to abusers, accuses them of 'getting into bed with the devil' and claims they have 'shown no willingness to reconcile'.

In his first primetime television interview promoting his memoir, the Duke suggests other senior royals had sought to burnish their reputation 'to the detriment' of him and Meghan and they were 'complicit' in their 'pain and suffering'.

He tells ITV's Tom Bradby: 'I'm not sure how honesty is burning bridges. You know, silence only allows the abuser to abuse. Right? So I don't know how staying silent is ever gonna make things better. That's genuinely what I believe.'

Delivering yet another volley of acid barbs at his family, Harry also says Meghan and Kate 'never got on' and suggests his wife was the victim of 'stereotyping' from his relatives due to her being an 'American, biracial actress'.

The latest Harry Markle makes several references to Harold’s odd behavior in the video clips of his upcoming interviews—his jumpiness, wild gesturing with his hands, and a long fingernail on his pinky. I admit I had to google that last one—I had no idea that a long nail on that finger is known as an “organic coke spoon.”

Do you think he took drugs before his interviews? Or is just evidence of his being a user?

I worry that the best case scenario for everybody involved is if the terrible two are swept away in a fatal flood or a landslide, and no innocent staff members are harmed. I don't think either can be helped. The families of those involved would have one final grief to get through, not a prolonged ripping open of wounds and spurious accusations. IF there are any child hostages, they can be rescued and reared with normal people.

I've revised my estimate of his IQ down by a lot. I used to think that he was *maybe* in the 85-89 range, low normal. His deficits would seem to be such that he is incapable of independent living at this point. As for the mental illness part, apparently the Spencer side (Diana's dad and granddad) suffered from sudden rages and beat their women.

The first commentary from The Times on the ITV interview with Tom Bradby:

I’ve never been happier, said miserable Prince Harry
By Quentin Letts

For almost two verminous hours a designer-bearded princeling bewailed his lot and claimed he was going to have to change the world because no one else would do the job. His family had briefed against him. “At the moment I don’t recognise them.” Everything was Fleet Street’s fault, except when it was Camilla’s fault or William’s fault or the fault of his poor, loving father whose lone-parenting skills had been measured and found not up to Californian snuff.

Now he, Harry, was going to act as “spokesman for the world”. He had alighted upon his life’s “mission of changing the media landscape in the UK”. The 21st century had found its Cnut. The scummy tide of social media was going to ebb at his very feet, just you see!

The more the Duke of Sussex spoke, the more he sniffed and the more ITV’s Tom Bradby stared at his interlocutor with apparent bafflement. It was the “blimey, we’ve got a right one here” look a medical orderly might give a park-bench crazy brought in for tests.

Our setting? The ducal drawing room in Montecito, California. Sunlit yellow cushions, gold printed linen curtains, Roman blinds, an empire drum lampshade, oval looking-glass and Zeigler oriental rug. Looked pricey.

The first of the programme’s six segments was devoted to the death of Diana. Both Harry and William had had themselves driven at speed through the Parisian tunnel where their mother was killed in a car accident in 1997. Charles, telling his younger son the terrible news that night, had called him “darling boy”. Harry repeatedly claimed that he loved his father. But he loved his mission more.

The funeral had seared him, as had a secret government file he was shown by an aide, but he did not have post-traumatic stress disorder. He felt it was merely “post-traumatic stress injury”.

“I am not a person with a disorder,” he said, as if from memory. If there was something rote-learned about that, it had an echo at the end when he kept claiming he had “never been happier”.

Bradby, Sherborne’s answer to Oprah Winfrey, proved commendably more rigorous than the queen of American daytime. After hearing Harry’s whinges about press intrusions, Bradby suggested that he himself was betraying confidences. The orange beardlet shrugged. “They’ve written countless books,” Harry replied, suggesting that Camilla and others had leaked to the press.

He had earlier spoken of the “mental wall” that wiped his childhood memories. Perhaps that was why he forgets that his own mother collaborated with Andrew Morton on the biography in Act I of this tragedy.

Rebecca said…
In his husky voice, brushed with New World uplift, consonants fashionably blunted, he claimed “none of this is done with the intention of hurting any of my family”. Likely tale! He hoped for a reconciliation. “There’s a way through it and that’s what I’m focused on.” If Charles and William spoke to him, “it will be in private and I hope it can stay that way”. Unless Oprah or some other telly outfit offers him enough to spill the guts.

Jeepers, this was like watching offal being scissored. Fresh offal. Still pretty much twitching.

For all the rage against William, the person most damaged may be Harry himself. Those of us that have lost older brothers can still count themselves more fortunate than this ill-guided babbler. When my brother was dying I wrote him a letter to thank him for being my hero and protector. Our boyhood was full of laughter. My bro’ was glamorous, clever, sporty, made a fortune. I was, and remain, unswervingly proud of him.

It is hard to see how Prince Harry will ever be able to write such a letter. All the coronets of Christendom, all the lemons of southern California, could not expiate such a sacrifice.

A Quiet Interlude

Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

Christmas is Coming

The recent post which does mention that the information is speculative and the response got me thinking. It was the one about having them be present at Christmas but must produce the kids. Interesting thought, isn't it? Would they show?  What would we see?  Would there now be photos from the rota?   We often hear of just some rando meeting of rando strangers.  It's odd, isn't it that random strangers just happen to recognize her/them and they have a whole conversation.  Most recently it was from some stranger who raved in some video (link not supplied in the article) that they met and talked and listened to HW talk about her daughter.  There was the requisite comment about HW of how she is/was so kind).  If people are kind, does the world need strangers to tell us (are we that kind of stupid?) or can we come to that conclusion by seeing their kindness in action?  Service. They seem to always be talking about their kids, parenthood and yet, they never seem to have the kids

Twitter appears to be in an uproar about the latest being they are possible separating.  Is it true? Might be.  There does seem to be a heavier rotation of articles about how they have separated recently. But then again, there have been rumors in the past have faded away after nothing more appeared to come of it at that time. As always with them, it's hard to tell.   What are your thoughts?
