Well, they aren't inactive. We don't know about depression. Stagnation? well maybe as it refers to not flowing or moving.
They sorta have some stuff going on - her second season (side note: uproar about Chrissy Teigen and bullying) and he's coming back to the UK for something but other than that? Not much is shaking and baking from them.
However, there is an ever so slight uptick on articles which point out something negative. Even on both sides of the pond.

If the editors or anyone really at Daily Mail bothered to scroll their own comments, they’d see what I’ve been saying all along: this propaganda circus isn’t sticking. It’s backfiring.

I opened the CDAN link and read the comments. Quite a few of the commenters said they were bored with *. I think this is a general feeling among * observers. The reason is that she doesn't produce anything of interest but also that we don't really see much of her. When we did, she was an endless source of amusement, disbelief, frustration etc. - think clothes, breaches of protocol, 'pregnancy', word salads etc. There is none of that now and I think that's why we're all bored with her.
Her ´ organic authenticity' is not something most people would wish to see and arriving anywhere in such a state would only confirm certain long standing rumors about her!

It's not the worst torture in the world to wear tights, as the British call them. And most women who do have to wear tights don't get access to the perks that she had on her "job".
You're absolutely right re tights, i.e. they mightn't be common in California but they're part of being well groomed in a professional setting, not that * was usually well groomed or understood. She probably thought it was a quaint little British tradition that needed 'modernising'. If you remember, she wasn't wearing any tights at the engagement interview - in London in November. Anyway, tights were only needed for a few hours when she was at functions and that wasn't even once a week but she makes it sound like she had PTSD afterwards.

Can someone from west of the Pond clarify for me how the term `Lettuce' is used in N America, please? Here, it means a plant from the genus Lactuca, eg `Iceberg' or `Little Gem'; admittedly some lettuces do look more like endive .
I get the impression though that in the US, anything with a green leaf get called lettuce ,eg rocket, but what is the red and white leaf in the photo? To me, it looks like radicchio ( a kind of chicory) possibly variety `Leonardo' which I've had great success with this year.
The green leaves in the pic look like mint or lemon balm to me.
I assumed the recipe wasn't hers and of course, it wasn't. Just change a couple of things, sprinkle a few petals on it and bingo! You have a new recipe. Regarding the date, it might make sense that that filming was back in November to be able to get it (all the film) edited, colorized and so on for the March release. And we all know Netflix was limiting just how much more money they would spend on this new show ... so it would make sense to film once, just divide into two seasons, two release dates, two flurries of promo. They have met their contractual obligations. Bada bing. Bada boom. Hence the November date appearing almost a year later due to editing, story flow.
As for the showing of the hair, covering the face always with a heart, it has never encouraged any of us to fall in love with the real kid despite the "sweetness" of the nod. As you point out, it is predictable, boring. It is, also, making people lose interest in the idea of what the kids really look or act like.
The audience of people who care about what the kids look like has dwindled over the years in the same way the interest in the couple has dwindled. Fewer people care day after day, month after month, year after year. This game has gone stale for them. Sure it pops up with a South Park jab, some promo of new items for sale but people have, for the most part, moved on. They can easily see some nice shots of the Wales' or Yorks in real time. The food sold through the palace doesn't have the extremely small limited quantities. So why get hooked into yet another almost see it all photo, a food we missed buying? been burned too many times.
