Questions, Questions and more Questions

It feels like things have been quiet.

Sure we hear of this bit of news that they are doing this.  Or have done that (not always with pictures which then begs the question: did it really happen?).  Or read that one of them is about to do something.

So many questions swirl around them.

Why are the exposures and interests appear to be more scattershot than a few general areas to be grouped under?  Consistently meaning the same groups or group types.

Why does the clothing still not seem to match the season they are in?  Are they still able to find people willing to offer stuff or are they running out of designers?  Or are they just not checking the weather?

What is happening with Spotify?

Or Netflix?

Or what do you think will happen as The Crown edges closer to current events?

Where are all the power hires who were to lead or guide them in some of the proposed projects?

What if they left the Montecito house?  Where in California be a better or more visible place for their interests?  Or would New York beckon?  The City is always a flashy albeit expensive draw but many power people live in Westchester, Katonah (HRC), Greenwich, Westport (Martha although is now more in Bedford I think but could be wrong) and commute.  Sometimes there is even a pied-a-terre in the City. Old money.  Company head movers and shakers.  Brokerage money.  Serious money.

What about politics?  Is that realistic meaning there could be some support for it to start?  If politics was in the future, wouldn't that bring additional security risks? Would that be safe for any of them?

Which brings the kids to mind.  Will there be any more kid sightings any time soon?  Valentine crayon glued on candy heart?  Easter looking for hidden eggs?

Or expand the past influencer blogger life?  Where might that go now?  The field is way more crowded than it used to be five years ago.  New people are always flocking in daily.  Will there be enough interest to sustain past the initial flurry because it is revived?

It feels like things have been quiet.  Is it because energy is running down?  Or the money stream?  Or is it a conservation of energy because they are about to announce big things - something/bring things on line/meet all their contract obligations?

What are your thoughts?

I think they had 2 years to prove they were more than tabloid fodder. And that's with a woke media hyping them 24/7. 2 years and no real work for Spotify and Netflix speaks for itself and signals all the wrong things to people open to using them for publicity. I think this is the long slow slide to pop culture oblivion.

Blogging is out; resurrecting The Tig will fail because blogs appeal to people in their early adult years. Nobody from a 1 year old to 40 cares a whit about the Dollars. Those 40 to 55 are busy with their careers, family, and housing, and saving/investing furiously for their futures. The ones who do care are the loonies with poor thinking and discernment skills.

When the Dollars have been quiet for extended periods, Mrs. Dollar has emerged with work done on her face. Expect to see some tweaks where she looks slightly different...

If the BRF has had Twit in for major counseling, and rehab for drugs/alcohol, then the family knows about the principles of AA, and tough love. This is a real test for Charles not to be co-dependent with a sick adult child.

Following on from the previous blog post, I, too, am puzzled as to why Prince Edward wasn’t given the National Theatre patronage when it was scratched back from Dollar Duchess.

I wonder if it was recently offered to him but he refused it (and thus the patronage was awarded to Camilla) due to feeling ripped off by mother QEII and brother Chas. His father, the recently deceased Duke of Edinburgh, had made it publicly known since 1999 that he wanted son Edward to be given the Dukedom of Edinburgh, and so, why hasn’t that happened?

Some bloggers conjecture that Prince Charles wants to bypass Edward, and hold the Dukedom of Edinburgh position for grandson Louis. Other sources point to Charles’ desire to slim down the monarchy and so doesn’t want to add to the ducal-layer of “high status Royals.” In any case, I think Edward is being ripped off by having his expectations dashed through not being named Duke of Edinburgh. Maybe he feels the same way, so deliberately chose not to accept the National Theatre patronage. He already is patron of over 70 charities and worthy organizations, so why take on more responsibility if he doesn’t feel his mother and brother think him worthy of his own father’s ducal title and status?

Some posters report there is indeed friction between Edward and Charles. I think the withheld Dukedom of Edinburgh is the reason for the brotherly chill.

OCGal,

Re. DoE title

It’s possible that there is froideur over Charles intending to withhold the title promised to Edward by both his parents, and there was at least one muck raking article that suggested just that. But I think it’s hasty to assume the worst of Charles just yet. He was in on that meeting in 1999 when the future of his father’s title was decided and he was in favor of the idea. The monarchy has slimmed itself down by attrition in ways nobody could have dreamt of then, so to deprive his brother of the Dukedom promised him when Edward is already supported by the Crown as an HRH and full time working Royal would be seen as petty without real benefit to the bottom line. The brothers had a period of contretemps when William was at university and Edward violated the agreement not to bring a film crew to St. Andrews, But hopefully in 20 years, bygones are bygones. Charles’ major animosity was always reserved for his meathead first brother. And I think Charles would want to be seen to honor his parents’ wishes. Conferring his father’s title on PE would be a bit of positive PR in his reign and he needs all of that he can get.

I might think it lovely if the queen herself would bestow the title upon her youngest son that her father gave to to Philip…but that is not protocol. Technically the Duke of Edinburgh title passed to Charles upon his father’s death as the eldest son. Charles has a surplus of titles, but as it stands he is now a Duke twice over. When he becomes King, the Edinburgh Dukedom reverts to the Crown so he can bestow it anew, as will his other current titles which will become William’s. It was published that Edward Would be made Duke of Edinburgh upon his 65th birthday, presuming Charles is King. That’s still seven years off, and seems rather arbitrary. I suppose that was deemed sufficient time for Chas to ascend. The Queen still holds the Duchess of Edinburgh title, even though it’s basically coals to Newcastle for her. I think DOE is still in place for Edward, but he must wait. I suppose the coronation of Charles, followed by the investiture of William as PoW will take precedence over Ed’s promotion.

@Hikari, thank you for your thoughtful reply which eases my mind, somewhat.

Goodness, I know I sound overly invested in Edward’s status — I’m not. Really! I just feel that he seems to keep his head down, and to consistently do his duty swiftly and willingly and without histrionics, and thus he may be forgotten in the ongoing kerfuffle.

I perceive that he is a good egg, and worth far more as a human being than his dullard nephew and sinister spouse, and also worth far more than the currently-in-hot-water middle brother and toe-sucking ex wife.

Edward reminds me of Flip Wilson as character Geraldine: “What you see is what you get!”

File under isn't that interesting:

Prince William and family look like they moving closer to Windsor. They would not be as close as if they had Frog Cott but it appears to be being pitched as: a rise in seniority (as could be helpful in the future transitions) since the Queen may be spending more and more time there as well as good for their kids. She has assorted family fairly close by.

I don't know if it were symbolic sort of in the way that wasn't one of the cars for the wedding linked to Wallis Simpson but the house they are supposed to move into would be the one where Edward signed the abdication papers. If not, it is interesting how often things happen like that.

OCGal,

Edward had a vapid reputation when he was younger and never seemed to finish much of substance. If there is a source of bitterness between him and Charles, it would likely be the easier relationship Philip had with his youngest son, where his relationship with his eldest son had always been so tense. I don’t think Edward is a tougher personality by any means; he couldn’t stick out his training in the Royal Marines—a very Public failure which the Duke of Edinburgh took in his stride. It must rankle Charles still to compare the this compassionate father with the autocratic bully that forced Charles to go to the hated Gordonstoun. By the time Edward arrived, PP could enjoy being a dad in a way he couldn’t during Chas’s formative years. Parents are always toughest on the firstborn and are pushovers by #4–Certainly the case in my own family.

After flunking out of the royal Marines basic training, Ed faffed around in the theatre with no real talent or direction, but found a niche making documentary films about the family. Discovered this one last week. Ed wrote the entire script in addition to on-camera and narrative duties and it was well-received. Now that he has only grown in stature within the Firm, maybe he wants to give his spot as the theatrical Royal up. The National dovetails with Camilla’s other arts patronages nicely.

I wonder what will happen to the Dukedom of York after the current ignominious occupant vacates it. This is an angle I hadn't considered. We don't always carry the passions of youth throughout our lives, and Prince Edward himself may believe he has outgrown his old loves. Perhaps he is slightly chagrined that this reputation has stuck to him for decades, overshadowing all his recent achievements.

The National dovetails with Camilla’s other arts patronages nicely.

Agreed! Had I not associated theater so strongly with Prince Edward, I would have wanted the patronage to go to Camilla!

Catching up with the great commentary ...

So, the Harkles were caught between a rock and a hard place! They got some attention climbing onto the popular vaccine platform (absolutely no engagement with serious indepth discussion, unlike Joe Rogan), but have failed to deliver on their Spotify contract, despite the huge advance they supposedly got! Note the bizarre claims in their statement:

Cofounders?! Trying to make the failure of Archwell sound grand. Typical narc behaviour in my opinion.

They had expressed their concern to Spotify some time ago. Telling porkies again?! All so they can claim a non-existent victory? Looks like typical bandwagonning to me. I do hope that Spotify exposes them as liars yet again.

In my opinion, those screaming about Joe Rogan have never listened to his podcasts and are behaving like bullying fascist who have lost touch with reason. Interesting that humanity's fascination with fascism has taken hold in the liberal left. Too many stupid celebrities given a platform to hog the limelight, just because they are entertainers or married royalty.

I suppose Camilla is delighted with her appointment as National patron and it has to be an extra frisson of happiness to get it away from Princess Tw*t. Charles famously detests the Brutalist style of the massive building—it is incredibly ugly in this foreigner’s opinion—and maybe he will beg off being dragged to many plays with her there. Camilla will do a wonderful job. All her patronages seem to love her. She and Kate both exude the energy of being happy to visit, be approachable and muck in with activities. Neither lady stands on ceremony. This is what Royals do best—When they do it well—Sprinkle a little happy dust to people with their visits and displays of care in the organizations and staff. Camilla does this well.

Please can censors take a step back. If the conversation goes way off track, we have a superb moderator who knows how to keep things on track.

The Harkles inserted themselves into the Joe Rogan controversy with their absurd statement. They have used the pandemic as a bandwagon to get attention. They have not used any of the platforms they have for conversations, discussions or any kind of interesting information sharing. They have not personally used their gradiosity to raise money to make any significant dufference to the pandemic in any way. In my view, they are shallow people who adopt fascist means to shut down anything they don't like to hear and to feed their grandiose view of themselves.

The statement Joe Rogan has made is available on YouTube (technical problems so can't copy link, but search for 'Joe Rogan statement' and you should find a few YouTubers have posted the video). His humility and openness is an interesting contrast to the Harkles.

He asked a couple of questions here and there, but he seemed to be as much of a listener as his audience. A very real contrast to the Dollars!

Moderator here

I cannot speak for Nutty. For myself, I feel it is a delicate balance of when to step in to try to turn the conversation in a different direction or just restart with something new.

There are a fair number of times where (when we still had Charade) we would be talking about to step in or not. And you know, many times, the conversation would turn in a different direction and we did not feel we need to say something to the group. There have been moments when moderators were accused of censoring or limiting conversation or flow of discussion. Classic no win.

So, as I mentioned, I try to keep an eye on it and respond before it really goes south. Sure my timing can be off. But the alternative is to call it earlier when it might not have gone that direction. Then I am dealing with people upset on a different note.

So thank you for the we have a good moderator.

Please let me decide if something needs to be said. Or not.

You can always ask: Hey moderator. I am concerned that this conversation might need your attention. No names. No shames.

@Lavender Lady and Miggy: I don’t have the time to listen to podcasts on a regular basis, but from what I’ve know about Joe Rogan is that yes, as you said, he listens, which is an art these days, and that’s one of the major things people seem to like about him.

Couldn’t you just see Harry’s wife doing her version of a Joe Rogan style podcast? She’s such a narcissist she’d probably take over every topic and talk about herself and interrupting so much that the guest wouldn’t be able to get a word in edgewise.

You can tell that would happen just from watching when she and Harry are being interviewed. For example, during the BBC engagement interview, she kept interrupting Harry.

She would likely interrupt her guests and manage to make the topic about herself or her shallow word salad thoughts if she did a Rogan one-on-one type of podcast.

Knowing they will be able to speak is probably a reason why Rogan has been able to get a wide variety of guests and topics and grow his audience.

What chaps my butt the very most is people that refuse to let people hear the other points of view. That immediately brings to mind a company using their own accountants to audit their balance sheet and refusing to let outsider auditors review the data. When that happens, fraud is afoot. DD and OCGal,

Edward was by some accounts his father’s favorite child though it’s hard not to think that Anne, the kid who was basically her father in female form, held that spot. Edward has the unfortunate male pattern baldness gene but photos of him as a youth show an angelic looking boy with his father’s blond hair. Look up pics of Ed at Cambridge… a full lipped blond young god was he, wouldn’t have looked out of place in a Merchant Ivory film. There have been questions about his sexuality, especially after he packed in the Royal Marines in favor of hanging around with theatre people, and his relatively late marriage, but he and Sophie appear to be the real article, a genuine power couple who make each other better together. They seem happy in a non-showy way that points to its genuineness and just get on with things. Had his brother and nephew, both outranking him in precedence not flamed out spectacularly, the Wessexes would have had very minor roles to play in the Firm, but thanks to Andy and Hazzer being tw*ts, the Wessexes are now much more indispensable. So the current mess is at least beneficial to a deserving couple.

As the boys have aged, they look more and more like the Queen - And Edward looks most like his mum in my opinion. He and Sophie bare just a year and a bit older than me so they seem the most “normal” of all the Royals of that generation.

Prince Charles, being born in the late 40s, and Prince Edward, being born in the mid 60s, are supposedly the same generation (baby boomers) but there was a vast amount of difference in the cultural influences that they grew up under. Prince Philip, when Prince Edward was born, was the same age as I was when my first grandchild was born.

My parenting style with grandchildren as opposed to children was much different due to age and experience. Edward's experience with his father was no doubt much different than Charles' experience. I suppose Andrew's experience with his father was also much different since he was only 3 years older.

Charles and Anne seem to be close. Edward and Andrew do not seem to be despite being closest in age. I'm sorry if this has been discussed to death, but could you UK people comment on this for me?

Swampie,

Generational markers are pretty random. Roughly 15 years apart but you are right about the vast difference between a person born in 1948 and 1964. Charles is an early Boomer (1946 kicked off the Boomer Gen) and Ed was the very last year. I think Boomers should cut off at 1960 and the 1961-1964 kids become honorary Gen X. Ed has more in common with my age group than his eldest brother’s. Charles is nearly old enough to be Ed’s dad. I always figured the two younger subs were close as children since Anne and Charles were adults before the younger boys were ready for school. But whereas Chas and Anne were only 2 years apart, A and E were 4 years apart—a crucial couple of years. I am the oldest of four with my next sister four years younger than I. We are a lot closer now than we were as children because I was always in a different school and had to babysit the younger ones starting about age 11. The younger three are all close together and were thick as thieves as kids. Now that all are married with families, allegiances have shifted. I can well imagine that Andrew as a child was a jealous evil little troll who resented his baby brother for hogging his spotlight. Maybe Philip gave E extra attention to mitigate A’s bullying? A sounds like a deeply unpleasant individual.

Charles was born prematurely aged perhaps but we tend to forget that he was a year younger at his wedding than Hazzer was at his. Charles was deemed an old fogey at 32 years of age while Hazzer is still milking the “Young Father” schtick as 40 closes in. He will be just as mature as we now see him until the day he dies.

As will Princess Tw*t who is called a Geriatric Millennial since she just squeaked in assuming that she isn’t actually 4 years older than she says. The Millennials were known as Gen Y until pretty recently. I think Millennials rightfully should be the group born in 2000–. Right? But nobody asked me. I’m just a geriatric Gen Xer who still hasn’t set up my voicemail box on my phone.

Potentially OT:

As one of the earliest Millennials, I sometimes wish I had popped out one year earlier and been a late Gen-Xer. My own generation's penchant for representation and "wokeness" makes me cringe hard enough to count as cardio sometimes, making the Gen-X temptation to cynicism and despair seem preferable in comparison.

I agree somewhat with @Hikari that the "Millennial" label should have gone to Gen-Z instead of Gen-Y. But I think the Zoomers are happy with their nickname.

You know, given how much Mrs. Dollar loves the sound of her own voice, I am surprised they haven’t done more podcasts. Audio would be fast and cheap to produce and she wouldn’t have to worry about how she looked.

But there’s the crux of the matter—Podcast format does not provide the Narc fuel she is looking for. I believe she was promptly bored with the format after one episode. Just her and a 🎙 mic in a room…She has to entertain solely with her voice and her personality and her repository of stories. Oops, minefields rampant there. She Can’t sustain a story to save her life. She’s told so many fibs about herself she doesn’t know whether to scratch her watch or wind her butt. She will still be seething with rage over how her previous attempts and voiceover were received, both for the elephant documentary and whatever she submitted to the pearl team as an example of her voice work.
The lack of output is due to the Sussexes refusal to tolerate criticism. And the fact that there is absolutely no there there with either of them. Most of all, She needs to be Looked At. If there aren’t any flash valves and she can’t merch a ridiculously expensive out of season glad rag, she won’t do it.

Spotify deserves to be Markled. Netflix too though Netflix is too big to fail at this point. They should have failed years ago and yet they are still here having Courted a number of controversies at least as big as the SuxSixes. They have a ton of failures but enough huge successes to keep them afloat

Embre

I was born in 1965, along with my fellow Gen Xers RDJ, Brooke Shields, Kyra Sedgwick, Julia Ormond and a bunch of other cool people. One of my colleagues was born in 1980 so we represent opposite bellends of Gen X. She is very young for her age despite being a mother of 3 and has a lot more emotionally in common with younger Millennials. My boss, also my age, has has just retired after 22 years in her job. That’s nearly the same length of time that I worked for her, and the knowledge that I am now eligible for a senior living community though Icdon’t yet have enough years to retire, has given me pause. To add to the fun of feeling like a geriatric dinosaur, my 25-year old colleague with the ink barely dry on her newly minted degree has been named to replace her. So, I now report to a girl who’s worked for us for three years, whose mother and I are peers.

I didn’t go out for this job, because I want the hell out is why, and now I am especially motivated to leave. I have only worked for a younger boss once in my life, and the first time was in a record store, where being 24 was an advantage to the target demographic. And the age gap then was 10 years, not an entire lifetime. I am in quarantine with Covid at present but I when I get Back into the office, there is going to have been a game of musical desks. Glad I have a few days to gird my loins for the changes.

The Harkles were so stupid to have jumped on the Rogan bandwagon. They should have remained silent.

First, all this did was generate even more interest in Joe Rogan as people start listening to see what the hoopla is about.

Second, do they really think that any podcast that they put out now is not going to be gone over with a fine-tooth-comb for any dis- or misinformation??

People are going to be all over them for even a hint of misinformation.

And you know they can't stop themselves from lying.

The way we're silencing free speech these days is positively Orwellian. 1984 is already here. I took the vaccines, playing Russian roulette with my health because my work requires it. But we should be questioning Big Pharma and we should be alarmed at the overwhelming pressure being put on us to "shut up" and "put up" by our dark overlords.
As for the Harry Meg, they think they can capitalize on this moment but it's just the latest installment of "How Annoying Can They Be!," the new game they like to play on us. These two are small fry and have no real social clout or they would have already "taken over" the world Beyonce style, only she hasn't really done that in ages either. Oh the hype! Give me Joe Rogan over cancel culture vultures like Harry and Meghan anytime

Snipped:

..... But for doing so, he’s been lambasted in an open letter from 270 doctors and scientists, once-liberal but now-censorious rock dinosaurs Neil Young and Joni Mitchell have quit Spotify in protest, and in a new low, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have demanded the Swedish streaming platform — which paid them $25 million last year to do their own podcast — do something about Rogan’s “rampant misinformation.”

Sorry, WHAT?

A pair of two-bit minor British royal family renegades best known for spewing outrageously harmful misinformation to Oprah Winfrey are trying to suppress an American’s First Amendment right to free speech?

I wouldn’t trust Meghan “Princess Pinocchio” Markle — who last year pressured UK company ITV to fire me for calling out her lies — to make me a cup of tea, let alone preach to the world about truth and honesty.

How dare she and her equally hypocritical husband, Harry, make any demands from a company that’s paid them a fortune to so far produce one podcast that was so bad, I needed urgent brain cell restoration surgery after enduring it?

If the choice of whom to listen to in America is a curious, smart man who listens to myriad views to get to the truth, or a pair of fork-tongued, woke wastrels whose only currency is trashing the royal institution that gave them their titles to exploit for vast financial gain, give me the former anytime.

Spotify should do us all a favor by tearing up Meghan and Harry’s contract and giving their money to Joe Rogan for more of his shows.

I wouldn’t trust Princess Pinocchio to make me a cup of tea either..she would either poison it or just throw it at me.

It is quite a world we have come to when not only is Piers Morgan not the biggest egotistical tw*t in it but he actually talks sense.

I couldn’t stand PM when watching him crush dreams on AGT but I have come round to grudgingly admiring him since we now have a hatred of Princess Tw*t in common.

I have been at home in a Covid haze for the last five days and have not been following Harkle press releases. If they had the unmitigated GALL to criticize Roger and by extension—*the company they took a huge payout from and owe content they haven’t produced*… Can anyone truly be that clueless? Spotify isn’t going to get any value for their investment—and they get insulted by the slackers into the bargain.

I have just had a satori into the Farkles’ MO. They have no intention of honoring their contract for content and never did. They will grab any money companies are stupid enough to throw at them with suitable noises about creating “impactful” content..then create such a problem for the host companies with non-performance and shooting their mouths off—being giant PITAs who threaten litigation whenever there is a breeze—that the companies will say Forget it and write off their losses, but quietly, with the pretense that the Smugs are still “executive producers” instead of admitting they have been bilked out of millions by ‘two Royals”.

Any company that gives these to a red cent deserves to lose their shirts. I will never as long as I draw breath do business with any company affiliated with the egregious duo.

It seems to me that evaluating the Mrs by progress and achievements in projects, commitments and proclaimed humanitarian goals is not looking at her in the way she sees things. Which is why updates about them seem scattered and sub par. Her goal is simply being in the news of any kind, having headlines centred on her, having photos staged, being an instrumental part of cataclysmic turn of events. She is achieving this organically via royal watchers and in mega portions inorganically through her PR machinations.

Books, movies, controversies, TV interviews (however poor in quality), most of all legal wrangles - she has ensured it, and so her work is done, and done well. It doesn't matter to her if this took lies, brazen u-turns, complete history revisions, performative moral stands or a bloody Mrs Claus (NYC school visit)outfit.

I look to her conduct before Harry - LA girl with a father in the industry who grew up on studio sets, and yet when she does actually land the biggest job in her career with her role in Suits, what does she do? She doesn't bother with even the basics enough to ensure that finally her good fortunes don't hit silly snags like the union card, something she would have known about early on from her father. Instead, when asked about it in the viral 'I am such a fraud' clip, she first diminishes the agents who won't work with her anymore because of her lying by pretending to forget their names and looks to her co-star to prompt her on it, and then ridicules the document as just a paper. That's her ethic, a two-bit-trying-to-be actress with no respect for the work or those working, who finds sincerity, a hard day's work and a straight-laced life such a loser's deal.

Here's someone who has already battled the IRS in court before - she hates having to own up and get cracking.

Yet we all have read how diligently she planned 'bumping' into Harry, her merching deals, her PR campaigns, her pregnancies.... She loves manipulations and feeling like she beat everyone - that's work and achievement to her. She is the work.

Netflix and Spotify are going to get the same taste of her 'professionalism'. Getting them to sign her on despite being a nobody on her own and with no credible work-ex and even paying her advances- that's her project completed. Her 'I didnt remember the mails asking me to produce content in exchange, I didnt mean to mislead' moment with them is coming soon.

She is not of ordinary psyche. Her outlook is malevolent. To predict her moves, to evaluate her is going to need tapping into one's dark side.

This is why people in her distant past are quiet - their biggest relief with her is to be relieved of her.

Harry, on the other hand, not only married her while making a huge event of it, disbanded all good sense, friends, family, had two children (real or pretend) with her for goodness sake - whatever can we expect from this blackmailing manchild.

It's royal trash meets trailer trash. Sometimes, I want to veer away from these two people who are being true to themselves, however offensive, to focus on the real villains, the ones who enabled them when they were adults, who kept them sheltered when they should have been taken to task, weaponised them and their dark psychology.

A belated happy new year to all, and absolute kudos to those who have kept posting analyses, information and comments - you have truly beaten the physical and mental toll that comes from following the Harkles. Thanks for your in-depth understanding and superbly articulated reflections.

@Museumstop, brava! I loved your entire post minutes ago, and carefully read your cogent argument that the Dollar Duchess is a success as far as she is concerned. Her goals are not normal human beings’ goals.

I agree with your assessment, and thanks to you, I’ve now released a lot of confusion and yes, anger against the Mrs.

Since their marriage I felt I was hitting my head against a brick wall trying to understand how she could lie so bald facedly and so consistently, and cooly promise so much while never following through to results normal adults would expect. And she never acts embarrassed when caught in her myriad lies. Well, you have made me understand that her goals are different than expected. As far as she is concerned, she is hitting each goalpost …she is WINNING!

I also loved your entire paragraph when you changed your focus: “It's royal trash meets trailer trash. Sometimes, I want to veer away from these two people who are being true to themselves, however offensive, to focus on the real villains, the ones who enabled them when they were adults, who kept them sheltered when they should have been taken to task, weaponised them and their dark psychology.”

Museumstop,

You totally have * nailed. She is addicted to the hustle and as long as she’s got attention—of any kind—in her mind she’s Winning!
This is why many of us refuse to address her by name. Our comments will not ping her relentless name algorithm searches. But we are still talking about her.

She is cunning rather than intelligent. She is in fact so blinkered with her personality disorders that her intelligence is quite low. An intelligent Narcissist would have realized that a berth in the Royal family meant effortless headlines and global attention daily for as long as she lived—and after. Are we not still fascinated by Princess Margaret, been gone these 20 years? Flower schemed, plotted, stalked and ghosted her way to that rarified berth—Only to toss it away nearly as soon as she’d gotten it. She must have spent twice as long pursuing Harry RF an she did as a “working Royal”. If she’d been smart, she would still be there snatching headlines from Catherine and Camilla. But she’s dumb, with poor impulse control, and she made a fatal miscalculation— she thought she could rule Hollywood on her terms as a royal at large and it would be just as good as being a royal in harness. It isn’t. People could not care less about to spoiled unemployed crybabies defaulting on their mudslide castle. It’s a tragedy really. Both of them tragic stunted useless oxygen sucking worthless nothings. Neither of them is capable of self-awareness, and they will continue to chase the cheap high of transient notoriety. The only way to make her stop is to starve her of her oxygen—that Narc fuel she needs to exist. Not bloody likely…Because she’s “black”. Because she is a “young mother being bullied by a racist institution” blah blah blah. Madam is really very very sick. And the world can’t look away.

There are rumblings on Twitter about H's immigration status. An immigration lawyer, @mkolken, said there is something fishy about his status.

I don't know anything else, but it mighty be something to keep an eye on.

Teasmade,

It seems that spouse or fiancé of an American citizen can be admitted on the so-called “marriage visa” but that is intended as only the stepping stone to long term residency status (green card). Individuals cannot stay indefinitely on a spouse visa without starting the application process. Without a green card resident aliens are subject to deportation if they say, commit a drug offense or break other laws. I couldn’t find a statute of limitations for this process but if Mr Dollar is frequently flying to the UK it is for visa renewal. One must visit a consulate or embassy outside of the country to do this.

A green card is not citizenship but permanent visa status with the right to work in the U.S. Owing to H’s special status, they can probably flout this rule just like they have so many others.

One of the Twitter comments wondered what's so special about him. (We could see THAT one coming!)

I'm American and understand the Green Card thing, but it seemed that there was something else going on, some fraud or something. I realize it's not helpful to repeat these half-formed rumors (although Taz herself weighed in!) so I'll stop now and we can just let the time pass until something comes to light. Or not.

But while I'm here, I just have to weigh in that they were STUPID to involve themselves in the Spotify controversy. In their shoes, I'd be trying to lie low and avoid bringing attention to myself, afraid that they'd ask for their [considerable] money back.

Here's what H had to say about Rogan, and also vaccinations, back in May 2021, on ArmchairExpert with Dax Shepard.

Interesting that he thinks Joe Rogan shouldn't say anything about Covid-19 or vaccinations, because in H's opinion it's misinformation, but it's perfectly fine for H himself to spit out his uneducated opinion about vaccinations.

Just exactly what would H know about whether it's safe to get vaxed or not? He has no medical education or experience.

-------
He added: "I think the issue is in today's world with misinformation just, like, endemic, you've got to be careful about what comes out of your mouth when it comes to that because news doesn't exist in just news any more.

"It's splattered all over the place so people are, like, 'listen to Joe Rogan,' say 'oh if he says that then maybe I'm...'

"You're right 'don't listen to me,' well don't say that. Just stay out of it. If you have a platform, with a platform comes responsibility."

"I've said, yeah, I think for the most part it's safe to get vaccinated. I do. I do. But if you're like 21 years old, and you say to me, 'should I get vaccinated?' I'll go 'no.' Are you healthy?"Are you a healthy person? Like, look, don't do anything stupid, but you should take care of yourself.

"You should—if you're a healthy person, and you're exercising all the time, and you're young, and you're eating well, like, I don't think you need to worry about this."

I don't know about H's immigration status, there was never any formal statement about it. I did find this in Showbiz CheatSheet:

According to the Daily Mail, it’s believed that Harry opted for O-1 visa status, which is usually given to “an individual who possesses extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business or athletics or who has a demonstrated record of extraordinary achievement in the motion picture or television industry and has been recognized nationally or internationally.” Pop star Justin Bieber and actor Hugh Jackman have both used the special O-1 visa.

Immigration expert Doug Lightman of Lightman Law in New York stated that “Harry would have no problem getting the O-1 because he’s a prince. He’s traveled all over the world… and there is his work with Invictus. It’s going to be enough to qualify him.”

Permit me a wry smile at the mention of 'extraordinary ability' where H is concerned but it would seem his princely status and work with Invictus, such as it is, might be deemed sufficient.

I still think @Fifi's guess that this isn't just the usual bandwagon hopping by the Dollars, but also a short-sighted tactic to get out of the contract. The Dollars may say that they're withdrawing their precious creative content (cough) and all other forms of support from Spotify until the company does something about Joe Rogan. It doesn't explain the year of silence from them, of course, but I guess they're hoping no one will notice?

You've likely hit the nail on the head! I had wondered why we weren't getting more leaks about what she was like at Northwestern, on the set of Suits, or as a wife/girlfriend to her exes. And the reason is simply that all of those who have had the unpleasant experience of knowing her don't want to relive the experience in any way. Even if it was as short as the USO tour. Her exes, in particular, have moved on with seemingly stable and sane women; I'm happy to wish them peace for the rest of their lives.

In fact, the only person from her past who is still agitating to be in her life is Thomas Markle! And every time he does, it means headlines for her. So he is either: a) totally in denial about what his daughter is really like; b) as much of an attention grubber as she is; or c) actually on her payroll for this. (The last possibility is a theory I read a few years ago on Royal Tumblr. As far as I can tell, however, it has never had legs.)

That is actually a sad commentary on her life. When my husband was having surgery for a life-threatening condition, I had so many calls of support from family and friends to not worry about anything. I could live with them if the worst happened until such time as I felt able to continue on my own, or stay with them forever if I did not. I'm sure most of the people here have family and friends that they can count on.

The only person that seemingly cares for her or wants to see her is an elderly, feeble man that is probably not going to be alive much longer.

I would have said, "At least there is ONE person," but Thomas may not even have the best reasons for wanting to see his daughter. You're right that it's terribly sad. If narcissists were capable of feeling things, she would be incredibly depressed.

One has to wonder what happened to the two women friends at Wimbledon. Weren't they identified as friends from Northwestern?

Then, of course, there's Jessica Mulroney. I can't remember if it was Blind Gossip which hinted that * didn't actually sever that tie, but is simply keeping the friendship a secret from now on. Either scenario is plausible to me: As a narcissist, * could easily discard a friend who is perceived as a liability; but she would also continue to hoover, especially if Jessica remained an excellent source of fuel, merch and other benefits. Had Jessica's fall from grace not happened, I think * would at least have one friend of many years in her corner. (Inasmuch as Jessica may be a narcissist herself, I use the word "friend" loosely.) What do all the Nutties think?

And of course, just to round things off, there's the mysteriously silent and invisible Doria. Has *'s own mother had enough of her? It's rally quite sad.

It sounds pertinent to me! Especially in the light of one digression about * having so few ties from the past. Since she can't keep her own connections, she's making sure Harry loses his, too.

Harry may have been of poor character for many years, but he his family stood by him, he had some friends, and he was popular among the British people. Even Chelsey and Cressida, whom he hadn't treated very well, were cool enough with him to attend his wedding. Can we say anything comparable about his life since *xit? His family has gone LC or NC (low/no contact), his old friends have been cut off, his neighbors supposedly can't stand him, his children may not even exist, and he had to make up "an anonymous group of tech billionaires" to claim that he had a social life. Maybe he gets to hang out with Adele, despite * being against it, but she's a weird choice of drinking buddy for someone in his state of life. Surely even he can see the stark difference between his life before * and his life after *.

Unlike Boris Johnson, however, Harry doesn't seem to be getting anything out of his marriage except the chance to flip his family, his country and his Queen off every morning. Is it really worth it, Haz?

Re: SueMe. Just curious why the name Hamilton made you feel uncomfortable?

It's in her About page and she speaks often of her dealings in PA. Most YT'ers don't put out such personal info. I wouldn't, and I don't claim to be as smart as her.

I'm not surprised Boozy has the eye on her. Due to those titles, they seem to have some kind of power. And they are using it. I hate to think it was them that influenced Spotify to cave on the Rogan issue. Even he caved. Or maybe it was when Brene Brown stepped up. Young and Mitchell are so far in the past they really didn't make a dent but Brown is very current.

Funny when SueMe put out the hit list she didn't mention herself. Or did I miss something?

@LavenderLady said: Just curious why the name Hamilton made you feel uncomfortable?

I've watched so many Youtube videos since this farce started that it's easy to forget what you may or may not have read on a Youtuber's 'About' page. To me... she's simply SueMe.

When you mentioned that her surname was Hamilton... I then remembered what I'd read on Bouzy's page about him suing two women from the USA, one who is called Susan Hamilton and I was worried for her.

Is this the same Sue? No idea!! I may well have added 2+2 and come up with 5.

Time will tell.

P.S. As far as I recall... she wasn't on his hit list.

P.s.
Just checked SueMe's YT info.
Looks as if she removed her personal info and her email address, which was listed awhile back.

Now that's smart!

@Miggy,
Ironic she calls herself SueMe. Cheeky and a bit daring.

As I mentioned, it's eye-opening to think the Douches do have power due to those titles and as members of the BRF (even if not representing the Firm)...

Yikes! It is concerning 😟

If you at her last video under 'show more'... her details are listed at #8

I must have missed it. My eyesight is failing and it's early in my neck of the woods. And I'm on my phone which is a small screen.

Wow. I would not have that there. I am often fascinated by people's accents etc. I will look at the About pages to see where they hail from and am surprised when personal info is posted for the whole world to see...

Things are sure getting heated over in Dumbarton-ville over the Rogan kerfluffle.

I hadn’t read all of Piers’ rebuttal til now. He flexes his posh education with phrases like “Disingenuous clowns” and “sycophantic media lickspittle.” The last one is a bit ironic since as a media personality, Piers is part of the very problem cohort he derides. He might be the inverse of Sycophantic lickspittle in his own mind but he is still one of her primary sources of fuel. Tagging on the Dumbartons has essentially become his full-time job and raison d’etre. She doesn’t spend an iota as Much time Obsessing over him the way he does over her. He may be her chief adversary—the Javert to her Valjean—but every time he calls her out in the public square, He is only giving her more of what she wants: global media attention… and underpinning How Important she must be, to consistently bring a middle-aged man to such dangerous levels of apoplexy, all over little doe-eyed her.

Piers entertains, and he is paid handsomely to keep the Dumbarton Dogging churning. That gets ratings. And Piers is a narcissist too, considering his longevity in the shark tank of media blood sport. Not in *’s class though, Which is to say, he is just the regular privileged public school knobhead sort that thinks very highly of himself, not that he is devoid of any recognizable human feelings of empathy or shame.
For professional reasons, the Dumbartons are good bank. But if Piers really wanted to fatally wound his enemy, he would never utter or publish a single more word about her, and would use his industry contacts to persuade his fellow media personalities to do likewise. That will never happen, but it’s the only effective way to deal with a pathogen—Deprive it of hosts and starve it out.

@Enbre,

We are more than 5 years on from the day of infamy in November 2017 when Harry presented his Little SoCal Matchstick Girl Bride to the world in the sunken garden at Kensington Palace. At the time, I didn’t realize the significance to Diana, which meant the couple had specifically chosen the spot for their official announcement. But I wondered why they were marking this historic occasion outside, in the rain, on what looked to be a cold day—It was nearly December. It wasn’t until much later that we learned that Harry’s bride had already been banned from Royal Palaces. Otherwise one feels that H would have certainly agitated for the blue stateroom at Buck House where his brother got engaged 8 years previously.

I had other questions too—Why was the perspective bride, a self proclaimed TV star/successful businesswoman with a personal wealth of $5 million dressed like a refugee just off the plane? Why was she wearing them white Spring trenchcoat and dirty sandals that didn’t fit her? What are we supposed to think that this little SoCal gal had arrived from the tropical colonies without any luggage—Just the clothes on her back? Never mind that she had come to London via Toronto where she’d been living for years and amassed more clothes than that. Harry seemed happy with her so that was the important thing, right? The sh*tty Narc games had already begun—how little we were prepared.

The salient question is—How much did harry know, and When did he know it, About what she was really like and the mutual plans of napalming his family they were to devise? That his bought into her crazy and is now equally culpable is not in dispute But I do wonder F what he’s got now is actually what he wanted or what he thought he was getting five years ago. Question I still can’t answer to my satisfaction five years old is: Is * really good at what she does or really bad and just incredibly lucky? If the latter, she has gotten lucky over and over and over and over again. All the sh*t she shovels never sticks to her.

When I think of a really top grade narcissist, the figure that comes consistently to mind is the Marquise de Mertuil, played impeccably by Glenn Close in Dangerous Liaisons. A woman who wields her cruelty like a rapier. A mistress of disguise, who never gives away her true feelings, Except to her accomplice, the Vicomte de Valmont. These two alpha narcissists get together to congratulate themselves On the sport they have with mere mortals. The Vicomte is a top level operator but the Marquise is better than he. BeCause he has a change in his armor—He falls in love and gets distracted. Marquise is never distracted. She is always impeccable with her grooming, manners, her sparkling salons…Everyone in society clamors to be her friend, And even the ones she makes the most fun of in private Think themselves her bosom companions. She never let anything slip.

Duchess Dumbarton lets everything slip. She’s got no control over her Dark Passenger. There isn’t a bandwagon she won’t jump on, Verbal diarrhea she won’t engage in or “Secret!” Meetings she hypes for clicks. She’s obviously not playing with a full deck. So how is it but she still even a commodity five years later despite everything? This is why she is such a fascinating figure—a Hollywood hillbilly who is a proven pathological liar and head case is playing chicken with the Queen of Great Britain—and she is winning, At least in some terms. This offends our Sensibilities because Princess Tw*t is so undeserving of everything she has received. She is trash. But the trash is prevailing and laughing at us all while she does it. This is why we can’t look away—We don’t want to miss her fall when it comes. But when is that going to be??? Each fresh outrage makes me lose hope.

All due respect to differing opinions but I think Piers is doing important and fantastic work putting the Suck-its on blast like he does. He's the highest profile critic and practically the only critic in the media. We need someone to counter the 24/7 woke baloney the media and their 2-bit would-be mouthpieces are serving up as roast beef. Piers is also there to never let us forget what liars they are. In a way he's the yang to Lainey's yin of spin. Lainey loves to keep reminding her little wokies her talking points and is trying to "control the narrative" here, which makes Piers works so important. Don't let the Suck-its, Scoobie Doo and Shamey Lainey set the narrative unchallenged.

I agree! Piers calls out BS. He is a bit up his own backside but he's doing a national service for his country when it comes to those two.

He seems loyal to his Queen and I respect him for that.

Hikari said…
Este,

Piers is doing valiant service to the narrative of sanity and he writes well and always makes me laugh. I admire his cojones, But we can’t lose sight of the fact that Piers is primarily an *entertainment journalist*. The existence of the Harkles And his ongoing feud with Princess Tw*t Has burnished his own profile massively. He was one of Burton’s leading entertainment before the Harkle debacle, But those outside of prison might not have known of him unless they watched America’s Got Talent. Now thanks to Princess Tw*t And the way he hasn’t started himself into the Harkles story, Legions more people know His name and read his words about her. Even when he seemed to suffer a major career setback due to her that didn’t really last. He got wooed back to Good Morning Britain for an even better salary and received tons of other job offers as a direct result Of Tw*t’s interference. In short, fighting with * has been boffo for his career, so we can’t attribute strictly altruistic motives for truth and justice to his crusade. After * ghosted him in London, he could have kept that to himself. He did not. Why? Because he benefits by his association with her and by extension the Royals. It’s his business and He’s got a cannier eye for business than Two someone elses we could mention.

Este said…
Hi Hikari. I think Piers was fairly well known in England but I wouldn't argue that the Suck-its have greatly increased his profile and stature. I don't support him because I think he's got altruistic motives but let's not forget he earned the bump by being willing to walk out on his job and the pressure to capitulate to a lie. I support Piers because he's a great attack dog, who won't let them go unchallenged. I don't agree with the assertion that he's making them news. I think he's not letting THEM and THEIR woke operatives (ie practically the entire media) control the narrative.

Prison, ay mi. My phone is acting up today. Britain.

Piers will continue I am sure—it is his livelihood and he is very articulate. Nobody can come up with more savage put-downs than the public schoolboys of British society. It’s only that with every piece he does—every insult, every tantrum he throws, every foaming mouthed rant…Princess Tw*t is *gratified*. His rage makes her giddy. She is thrilled to make a guy she met once in person so riled up. She LOVES it. It makes her an indispensable world figure on a par with the queen herself. I’d wager Piers spends many more words in P. Tw*t than the Queen. If he stopped, 10 more journalist would rush into the void and not do it nearly as well as he does. But there is that Personal insult element to his vendetta that makes his hatred of her extra than just a professional opportunity or a defense of his Queen. Tw*t wounded him in his pride, personally, a fact which he chose to share with the world. Having the illusion of so much power is what she absolutely gets off on, and now that he has appointed himself her personal watchdog and whistleblower, That would it make her happy in a perverse way. This is not how A normal person would react. But she is not normal. Being called a disingenuous clown by Piers Morgan is validation to her…that her words have the power to make people that angry. SHE did this! The more peace of mind she steals from others the more complacent she gets.

@Hikari

I didn't have the leisure to type this all out earlier. There is a reason I really like the idea of Piers and all other writers in British media never saying or printing a word about the Dollars again.

When I was much younger, there was a newspaper columnist who drove me crazy. I didn't like what he chose to share with the world -- and judging by the letters from readers that got printed, I wasn't the only one who thought the editor-in-chief should be reining him in. And yet we all continued to read him? I read him every week, just to see evidence that he had been told to stop!

Well, one day, he wrote a column about his unpopularity. He said that a columnist's main concern is not that he is liked, but that he is read. And that every angry letter about his column was just another piece of evidence that he was being read! I realized at that moment that he was right. So I put down the newspaper and never read his column again.

So I wouldn't even know if he ever regretted revealing to readers the secret to disarming him. I really never paid him any more attention!

Este,

The assertion I was making was that the Harkles are making Piers news, not the other way round. At least, many more people in North America know him now than previously due to his Harkle coverage. I believe that on this side of the pond is where his truths about a half hours will resonate more or should. In Britain I get the sense that he is largely preaching to the choir where the Harkles are concerned.

He was my hero the day he walked off the set of good morning Britain, Because most us has not dreamt of quitting a toxic job just that manner? It was a feisty thing to do even though Piers Has got millions of pounds in the bank and never need work again. But his unemployment was very short lived because in his own way, Piers is as addicted to the hustle as is his nemesis. He gets much better quality results.
Este said, I think Piers was fairly well known in England but I wouldn't argue that the Suck-its have greatly increased his profile and stature.

He’s very famous in the UK, a household name and a bit of a Marmite type character 🥴 (you either like him or you don’t). For me he’s a great cause for freedom of speech and saying what he thinks and I’m so glad he calls out Maggot and Mole! 🤪

It wasn’t until much later that we learned that Harry’s bride had already been banned from Royal Palaces.

The clearer the timeline gets, the more damning it all looks. That Harry went through with things even after knowing how * had behaved with his family (with the children in his family!) really highlights his culpability. She might have been the bomb, but he was the one who planted her and started the timer.

The salient question is—How much did harry know, and When did he know it, About what she was really like and the mutual plans of napalming his family they were to devise?

A male acquaintance just ruefully told me today: "Men aren't very bright." It was in the context of dating, so I think it applies here. It seems so obvious that Harry should have realized that a woman who tried to sneak photos of his nephew, which could have meant a serious security breach, was a woman who didn't respect proper boundaries and whom he himself probably couldn't trust. But am I giving him too much of a pass by saying he simply lacked the brainpower to connect the logical dots?

I still like to think that if someone had shown 2017 Harry a vision of the next five years, he would have been truly horrified. That he didn't say a final goodbye to his dying grandfather might have shaken him the most. Compound that with the tabloid headlines he has been getting since *xit. He loved being Hero Harry, even if he had done nothing to deserve it; the thought of getting the kind of press he truly deserves would have been quite a threat!

The alternative is that Harry did connect the dots as well as he was able and simply didn't care. He might not have known her plans from the start, but they wouldn't have been too much of a surprise to him when she started to unleash them. She was the perfect weapon to get back at everyone who had ever made him feel inferior to his older brother. He might not have known exactly how she "worked," but when the destruction started, the little surprises might have brought him even greater satisfaction than if he had painstakingly mapped everything out in advance.

@Hikari, If the Gruesome Two-some is making news and bank for Piers, I'm fine with that. Piers is very good at what he does and, after decades doing his trade and the AGT gig, was able to use them to launch his career to the next level. All he had to do was quit his job, stick to his guns and turn them into the tabloid fodder they so richly deserve. I think nature doesn't like a vacuum. If Piers weren't making bank on their lies, somebody else, perhaps with less skill. I don't count Lady C or River because well they are small media fry. As for Meghan loving the broadsides, well I just don't see it that way. I think she's allergic to any criticism and hates every time her father, her sister or Piers opens their mouths. I think that's almost all to do with why they threaten lawsuits and fight so hard against "misinformation." She can't handle any criticism. what. so. ever. Just my 2 cents!

@Hikari: IMO the sh*t is sticking to *. People have ghosted her once they got a personal taste of her operating mode: Serena, Elton, Oprah (no invitation to the Adele concert), the Fosters, Tyler Perry. Corporations: Disney. * ruined a perfectly good documentary, and it won't be resurrected with a different narration for a long time, if ever. How many millions was that down the drain for Disney? That disaster must have traveled throughout the industry, and *'s difficulty in working with others. Obviously * was unable to take simple direction for the VoiceOver. That got talked about plenty. Disney took a bullet, they thought, for The Queen. Bill Gates, and the Obamas didn't give * more than 10 seconds of time; they could all read her from thousands of miles away. Then there's Ellen, who had carte blanche to force * to make an a$$ of herself on national television. If any of us had been asked to squat, how would you do that? Legs together, of course. Not *. Wow, that was something, and * allowed Ellen to humiliate her.

Everyone in the British Royal Family has ghosted them, save for Eugenie who is Twit's only lifeline.

Whoever signed them at Netflix, and Spotify are going to pay the price for not listening to industry talk, not listening to scuttlebutt, not reading *'s Q factor, not evaluating financial output for services rendered, and not really thinking through what they were getting for their money. They certainly didn't pay attention to Mr. Dollar's boring, rambling talk with the fake Greta; nor, did they pay attention to the the afterward comments about the speaking gig Gayle got for Twit, his speech described by attendees as the-drunk-at-the-end-of-the-bar.

As someone else commented here, in Hollywood, Twit is described as a "joke,", and Twat as a "f*cking lunatic."

The Dollars have not made any money for Spotify; the Dollars' posturing is going to get them in more hot water. Spotify told Neil Young see ya when he pulled his musical library from Spotify. Spotify won't let the Dollars off the hook without getting content, or reimbursement of funds.

Hikari, your note on the mounting frustrations post November 2017 are so true. Wasn't there some chatter about how the photographers weren't allowed to get close during the engagement photo call. The way she posed, her presentation was when the I was sure that too many things were off here.

There's an interesting commentary on a tumblr blog elsewhere on how the Australia tour was a 'tour' of their creation since it had been announced the next IG was to be held there. I don't know if it is all true but it seems they created the pit stops, had the Mrs accompany when she wasn't to and even had Jason K recce Tonga for them ahead of plans. The games started way before we realised.

Enbre: She’s slowly cut out the people who were close to him and surrounded him by people who are Carrie-approved. The whole thing is so toxic. They both use each other to get something but it’s like in a Greek tragedy.”

This commentary is so chilling for its similarities. And I think many of us may have such couples known to us. The dilemma for those close to such a couple is whether to wait for the call to save or jump in to save.

@Fifi, I highly doubt Spotify gave a boatload of cash to the Harkles up front as they were an unknown quantity. They also were under the gun to announce deals so they wouldn't look like failures out of the gate, so were not in the greatest bargaining position. I bet most of their remuneration would have been tied to delivery of content, of which there has been precious little.

Also would not surprise me if Charles fronted the down-payment on Mudslide Manor and the trust that bought it is controlled by him.

@Snippy and Fifi: From what I’ve read, both Spotify and Netflix would likely not structure the payment schedule to the Harkles to give them the entire amount up front. There was likely an initial payment and then additional payments upon the delivery of content that would have to meet certain standards, terms, and conditions. This way, the Harkles just couldn’t toss any trash quickly cobbled together at Spotify or Netflix as a deadline approached.

Each contract would likely also state circumstances that would allow the company to void the contract - basically an escape clause.

Too bad Harry didn’t negotiate an escape clause when he married her.

The dilemma for those close to such a couple is whether to wait for the call to save or jump in to save.

This is so true! Even with friends who have troubles outside a relationship (e.g. addictions or other unhealthy lifestyle choices), it's tough to help someone who doesn't seem to want to help themselves. In my experience, it is best (but hardest) to let someone hit rock bottom.

But the problem with affluent couples or celebrities is that they have so many more buffers than the rest of us and can take decades to get to rock bottom. There's also the shame element, which is greatly magnified for them, because of all the people who know of their failures. I personally think that Harry is well aware of how awful his life has become and wishes he could turn back time. But while there is money (or credit) and while there are backers (no matter how shady or small-time), he can still dull the meaninglessness of his life with minor pleasures.

Finally, I must give @Rebecca all the credit for noticing the parallels between the Johnsons and the Dollars! She shared the article that I requoted in my own comment.

I hear you. I knew freedom fighters, Catholic and Protestant, back in my Belfast days. Both the IRA and UVF (and all the offshoots),thought they were in a war, so justified the many acts of violence both sides committed back during the troubles. And they were in a war in a way!

It's odd how people can convince themselves of certain "truths", yet I was able to see both side's position. They were good people at their core wanting to fight for freedom, from the ugliness they saw in each other. One to break free from an oppressive rule and the other to keep the status quo that had been established.

It's true that unless you are in the thick of a culture we really can't believe all we read about the inner workings of said culture.

I lament that we have zero unity in the States and it is only getting worse. I find the division heartbreaking.

I've been looking into the revenues that are possible from podcasting. I saw on Neil McCoy-Ward that Joe Rogan makes about $750,000 per podcast. (Is that separate from or including his $100,000,000 million Spotify contract? Don't know, don't care. I don't know if I would have time in my day to podcast more than once per month because I'd be too busy swimming through my money.)

Now, I wouldn't think that I'm alone in muttering "Ya know, ONE of those per year would make *me* very happy!" I don't know why the *'s couldn't or didn't want to make podcasts that could have been very respectful about the royal family, such as how family life works when you are a very public figure, and how important staff are to the smooth running of the enterprise. Ghosting is when you cut someone off with no warning. We usually hear about it from the perspective of the person who was ghosted. For that person, the sudden silence came out of nowhere and was very hurtful. I think it's accurate to say that this is what * did with her Markle relatives, with her ex-husband Trevor, and possibly with many others we don't know about.

Going NC (no contact) or LC (low contact) is a little different. It's what people who are dealing with narcissists or other abusive types in their families are advised to do, for their own mental health. It's a boundary to put up so that you don't continue to be taken advantage of. In an earlier thread, another Nutty theorized that Princess Eugenie is a strategic lifeline, so that Harry knows he always has a way back even if other family members won't take his calls. I think there's definiely that aspect to it.

@GWAH,

I read that article this morning and that part made me chuckle... and then out of curiosity, I went and had a little look at the woman's Youtube channel.

She has a video on TBW!

I'm not one who notices these things, so I had to look up "Cartier Love bracelet." And now that I have . . . I feel sorry for the bracelet! It's simple, elegant and understated -- not trashy at all, and definitely the opposite of large, showy logos. But sadly, Anna Bey is right that it has become a stereotype.

There was a time I was shopping for perfume and the eager saleslady told me that the scent I currently liked best was a favorite of a certain local celebrity. I guess she had hoped that would close the sale, but it turned out ot be the worst thing she could have said! As much as I loved that scent, I absolutely recoiled at the thought of smelling like that celebrity! Perhaps this is what Cartier Love bracelet owners feel when they see * flaunting her own.

@Miggy

Anna Bey started mentioning * in 2018 or so, when the world was still willing to give * the benefit of the doubt. At that time, Bey was yet to transition from her "matchmaker" brand (helping women to attract affluent men) to her current "modern elegance" brand. So she ranked Catherine and * together as success stories and role models for her audience. I've watched Bey's video on Catherine, but absolutely ignored her video on *. To the point that I forgot the second video existed until you mentioned it here!

Did you watch it? What did Bey say about *?
Miggy said…
If you watch the video that accompanies that article in the DM... Anna Bey also owns a Cartier Love Bracelet. 😉
Miggy said…
@Enbre,

I'd never heard of Anna Bey before this article.

In her video she discusses TBW's life from early childhood to now... her rise to success and how she achieved it.

My take from the video was that she still very much admires TBW.

I saw the video even before the DM featured it, but didn't spot the bracelet. (As I said in an earlier comment, I hardly notice such things!) But yes, it's hilarious that Bey wore it in that very video!

The Cartier Love bracelet seems to be a true classic. I don't think "old rich" women are going to stop wearing it just because it has become a stereotype of their demographic . . . or just because * and women like her flash theirs at every opportunity. I find the other signs that Bey mentions, particularly careless spending and being rude to staff, much more meaningful in spotting someone who is a fake (and who has poor character!). And they definitely apply to *, too!

Those sound like good messages to me. I'll check out what I can on them on youtube.

How funny! 😄 I didn't notice her wearing it because I was listening whilst doing some chores.
However, I did hear her say that she owns and wears one herself.

I agree that it's a classic bracelet. It's probably the most classy piece of jewellery in TBW's collection. ;-)

Hmmmm. I wonder if Nigel Farage has some real tea or if he's just guessing based on the moves the Dollars have made.

The interviewer also mentioned the Dollars' whopping one episode of one podcast for 30 million dollars. It's old news to Nutties, but is it a shocking reminder to Normies? That this keeps getting emphasized makes me think Spotify has finally decided to cut its losses with the Dollars. (Perhaps the company got enough revenue from all the subscribers Joe Rogan brought in, that it offset whatever the Dollars were able to make off with! Ironic, if so!) In the meantime, the Dollars can "pay" in embarrassment and in the hit to their "professional" reputation. They look incompetent and pathetic. As they are.

Love the video of Catherine as the new Rugby patronage.

Look how genuine and joyful she seems. And how people are responding to her so enthusiastically.

Notice that she kept all of her clothes on and nothing was unzipped or unbuttoned down to there, nor was there any sleeveless clothing with low necklines. Nor were her undergarments readily visible. So classy.

@Happy Days: Thanks for the comment on contracts/payments.
@Enbrethiliel: You are correct with the terminology with ghosting. I've said before, that Eugenie was the one designated by the BRF to be the lifeline to Twit. It's amazing considering the narcissistic abuse directed towards her from Twat.

Enbre- Spotify is a public company and if there is a contract that is not performing they will have to write it off with their year end audited financial statements. That being said, if they paid $30MM it could be lumped in with other write offs but likely would have a separate line item of footnote. Now if it was far less, say a $1MM pre payment, and the $30 was only based on certain performance measures (which may not be on the company's books) then we may not see it written off or if it is, it will be buried and likely far far less than the $30MM brag.

Hmmm is Farge taunting/baiting her? making her come out of her "bungalow" to respond?

Saw someone on another platform point out that the Dollar duo in their statement claimed to be pressuring Spotify on Rogan and misinformation since April. And spotify did nothing until this week - clearly they have no leverage with spotify but a few aging rockers did. ha!!

Me - I agree on the Duchess of Cambridge and her Rugby patronage. She looks like she was enjoying herself

Finally, or at least for this post - its groundhog day. If someone emerges from Montecito and doesnt see a pap, does that mean 6 more months of PR crap?

So rogan makes fun of them in January 2020 - so were they about misinformation or about payback for the remarks sure makes it look a bit vindictive which i think is the point of the Daily Mail publishing the story.

Ha - nice little fun for the day

I've been liking your theories!

@Snarkyatherbest
Saw someone on another platform point out that the Dollar duo in their statement claimed to be pressuring Spotify on Rogan and misinformation since April.

I haven't read their statement because my time is precious, but that makes me wonder: Did they really start in April of last year or are they simply claiming it because it makes them look like pioneers rather than last-minute bandwagon jumpers? If this is their official story, they can also say that they were ready with content at that time, too, but withheld it in the hope that Spotify would do something about Rogan. (Unlike the aging rockers, who at least have a body of work they can leverage, the Dollars have to pretend they have anything of value.) It looks as if Spotify is finally getting its own version of *xit!

And thanks for the information on how companies do their books!

I just saw the second rugby video, with Catherine at Twickenham Stadium. It's such a breath of fresh air! The rugby players of England must be thrilled.

I'm afraid that my happiness for her and for them is mixed in with quite a bit of Schadenfreude. Oh, to be a fly on the wall in Montecito (or wherever the heck the Dollars are actually holing up) while the plates get smashed!

@Girl with a Hat

I read the article this morning about new money and thought of * straight away and laughed 😆. She does add, however, 'There's nothing wrong with wearing these items. There's nothing wrong with wanting to fit into a community or a society.

'It's about understanding that sometimes there is a line between blending in and you can take it a bit too far by just looking so stereotypical that you just scream new money, pretentious.'

There's also a section about being rude to staff and this is * to a T.

That said, Anna Bey is considered a joke. I think she might be nouveau rich herself, having married a rich husband.
Maisie said…
An interesting thing about Ana Bey is that she is apparently a former yacht girl. Conor Clyne -Tsar Experience has a YouTube channel about that whole genre. He speaks specifically about her and other paid talent. The videos are amazing and certainly eye-opening. A whole different world out there.

About the jewelry and other high-end items, it certainly is tribal behavior. Markers, tokens and badges. We formerly lived in coastal Orange County California for several decades. It was very interesting watching women conform their looks and behavior to a certain type. The women were certainly interchangeable and the children... well, I certainly felt very sorry for them.

@Maisie,

Thanks for the video... quite an eye-opener!

Not sure how her fans consider her to be Swedish or Finnish... as her Russian accent, although not as pronounced as some, is still detectable.

@Maisie, Wow, interesting video. And what a clever niche this Conor guy has established for himself, basically a coach for guys who may have been taken in by these girls, or prospective Russian brides, or such? It's sad that he was filming in 2020, in a beautiful seaside setting in Ukraine, and said that maybe restrictions would be lifted in 2021, as well as what Ukraine is facing now.

You would think that Ana would have covered her tracks a bit? I would have, but then I don't get the whole marrying for profit either.

@Teasmade,

As someone who has family and friends in the Ukraine, (of Russian heritage) I'm extremely worried by the situation they are facing. Ukraine has been their country for many generations.

That said, none of the young ladies I met on my one and only visit to Kiev would ever consider going down the route of the Ana Beys of this world. They were all classy, intelligent and from good families. However, it is possible for me to understand why some would choose this lifestyle. Years of oppression... and the hunger for riches and a better life is a huge motivator.

I'm with you when you say, " I don't get the whole marrying for profit either.

Neither do I. The mere thought of marrying someone for money makes me feel quite queasy! Yuk!

Private contacting ... good question

I have two options.

One is that I turn this on full moderation, you send in a response and I respond as best I can to it.

As a thought, it could actually be done on a regular basis so everyone would be able to let me know that when or where they think things are taking a turn and could I please be more sensitive about topic X or when so and so brings up Y.

I would be passing on any normal posts which don't relate to moderation as they come up during this period.

This is a little limited in some ways as it's not a back and forth discussion.

The alternative is: WBBM, would you like to be a moderator?

Sorry not Wild Boar but your proposal sounds a bit like the KGB lol. Or the Cultural Revolution of China. Like telling on the neighbors. Really?

As a Nutties I would hope any new moderators would be non partial and not biased. How would you assure that?

Sounds like it would be more problematic than it is currently.

I like your direction of just scrolling on if someone says something not liked. For the most part it's easy to do. I do it regularly. It may not seem so since I do make a quip now and then or ask the odd rhetorical question. But didn't you suggest that if Nutties gets so bothered by something shouldn't they just take a long break, no posting or reading?

That's what I do. It's not rocket science.

A Quiet Interlude

Not much appears to be going on. Living Legends came and went without fanfare ... what's the next event?   Super Bowl - Sunday February 11th?  Oscar's - March 10th?   In the mean time, some things are still rolling along in various starts and stops like Samantha's law suit. Or tax season is about to begin in the US.  The IRS just never goes away.  Nor do bills (utility, cable, mortgage, food, cars, security, landscape people, cleaning people, koi person and so on).  There's always another one.  Elsewhere others just continue to glide forward without a real hint of being disrupted by some news out of California.   That would be the new King and Queen or the Prince/Princess of Wales.   Yes there are health risks which seemed to come out of nowhere.  But.  The difference is that these people are calmly living their lives with minimal drama.

As Time Passes and We Get Older

I started thinking about how time passes when reading some of the articles about the birthday.  It was interesting to think about it from the different points of view.  Besides, it kind of fits as a follow up the last post (the whole saga of can the two brothers reunite). So there is the requisite article about how he will be getting all kinds of money willed to him from his great-grandmother.  There were stories about Princess Anne as trustee (and not allowing earliest access to it all).  Whether or not any or all of this is true (there was money for him and/or other kids) has been debated with claims she actually died owing money with the Queen paying the debts to avoid scandal.  Don't know but I seem to remember that royal estates are shrouded from the public so we may not (ever) know. However, strange things like assisting in a book after repeated denials have popped up in legal papers so nothing is ever really predicable.   We are also seeing more articles which not only talk

The Opening Act of New Adventures in Retail

I keep thinking things will settle down to the lazy days of spring where the weather is gorgeous and there is a certain sense of peacefulness.  New flowers are coming out. increasing daylight so people can be outside/play and thinking gardening thoughts.  And life is quiet.  Calm. And then something happens like a comet shooting across the sky.  (Out of nowhere it arrives and then leaves almost as quickly.)   An update to a law suit.  Video of the website is released (but doesn't actually promote any specific product which can be purchased from the website).  A delay and then jam is given out (but to whom and possible more importantly - who did not make the list?).  Trophies almost fall (oops).  Information slips out like when the official date of beginning USA residency.  (now, isn't that interesting?) With them, it's always something in play or simmering just below the surface.  The diversity of the endeavors is really quite impressive.  This award, polo, speech, speech,
